The 40 Best Resorts in the Caribbean: 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards

"This spot on Pink Gin Beach, formerly LaSource, was taken over by Sandals, and reopened the adults-only, all-inclusive in 2013 with 150 rooms and 75 suites. Only five minutes from the island's main airport, some oceanfront accommodations come complete with butler service and private pools—in fact, the resort seems to be happily obsessed with pools: "pools in the sky, and living rooms in swimming pools. Private plunge pools, cascading waterfalls, and meandering river pools" they declare. Take your pick of nine restaurants serving everything from Japanese to French to local Caribbean fare. There's nightly entertainment, including live bands, fashion and talent shows, and beach parties—and a Red Lane Spa to recover from it all." - CNT Editors

Spectacular resort. Everyone is unbelievably welcoming and friendly. Food was great, scenery spectacular. There plenty to do from resort events to snorkeling to excursions. Two pools to choose from: a rowdy pool and a quiet pool. Hot tubs and the beach. And again, can’t say enough about the staff. Every single person greets you and asks how they can help. And the managers walk around and do the same thing. It’s a wonderful experience.

Wife and I had our first sandals experience in St. Vincent in the Grenada’s. We decided this year to go to sandals Grenada. Our first impression did not meet the expectations as what we had experienced in St. Vincent’s. After a couple of days we had the pleasure to meet food and beverage manager Dennison Decoteau. Mr. Decoteau was the only manager we saw greeting guests to ensure they are having a great time! He is an awesome person and should be reconsidered for a higher level management position. For over 2 days into our vacation, we had to get most of our drinks ourselves. Until one of your hostesses, Sherene, provided us outstanding service. I am a very observant person and this one lady made atleast 40 people in our pool area have a blast. She was very attentive and stayed on top of all our drinks. I believe we the way she is able to read people and her great social skills. Ms Sherene needs to be an employee that quickly gets promoted through the ranks at the Sandals resort!

We had a great trip! Our butler’s were very attentive and the view was great! A few things that were disappointing however: Dinner service- All of our dinner reservations were done for us by the butcher, which was wonderful. When it came down to actually getting our food, the service was VERY slow…Some nights it took around an hour and a half to get our food. I’m not sure if it was because of the service, but I’d say 90% of our dinners were either lukewarm or just cold… Another issue with the food I noticed was out of 4 steaks, only one of them was cooked correctly… Anytime we went up the bar (the living room or pool bar), if an employee was having a conversation with another employee, they did not stop the conversation to take our order. They would finish their conversation first before attending to you. Our last issue was that we rebooked for another trip for the future and was given a certificate to use $100 towards either the spa or an excursion. We asked if we could use it towards the marine park that we were doing later that day and was told no because that was specifically through Sandals…We didn’t have enough time to use it for an excursion since we were leaving and I didn’t want to use it for the spa because I just got my nails done and honestly, it was way too expensive for anything else! It was frustrating to think we just committed spending another lump some of money and we can’t even use this certificate. Don’t get us wrong, we LOVED our trip and if we didn’t we wouldn’t have booked again. We just expected a little more customer service.

Landing on Grenada is easy, and only takes 3 minutes to get to the resort. The rooms are fantastic, housekeeping comes 2x a day and keep your room tidy and stocked. Beds were comfortable, wifi works great with good TV. Servers were eager to make sure everything was great, and your drink was never empty. Grenada as an island is also very nice. Guides have great personalities and seem to be having fun. Our favorite part of the resort was absolutely the food. Make sure you make a reservation at Butch's or Kimonos before you arrive, they can be booked out days in advance but are absolutely worth it! The restaurants have great variety and are all fantastic no matter which meal you are enjoying The only reason i give Sandals 4 stars was, the drinks. I was quite disappointed when I saw their beer and liquor selection. There seems to be only two mild lagers, and cheap liquor available for drinks. While i'm not expecting the most expensive beer and whiskey on this trip, having a little more variety and a slightly nicer bottle to choose from would have made it much more enjoyable, rather than poking around the cocktail menu to find something I enjoy rather than another pina colada. I just don't go in for the more sugary cocktails. The cocktails were great, I did end up drinking a lot of rum (while in the caribbean...) that was produced locally that was nice, but I was looking forward to some nicer beer and whiskey.

We had an amazing stay at Sandals Grenada and the staff made the entire trip unforgettable 😍✨ The resort is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the room was perfect for what we needed… but the real magic here is the people! Emilyn at Cucina Romana was our absolute favorite. She made us feel so welcomed, cared for, and at home. Attentive, bubbly, informative… she truly lit up every moment we spent there ❤️ Liston gave us a dining experience we’ll talk about forever. His cooking is incredible and he made everything feel personalized and special 👨🏽‍🍳🔥 Khaniel gave us the best photoshoot of our lives. Not just pictures… an actual experience. He made us comfortable, guided us perfectly, and the results are stunning 📸✨ Huge love also to Terrell, Abigail, and Marissa for their kindness and warm energy every day. They made us smile constantly 💕 The staff made our vacation 10,000 times better. We will definitely be back and hope to see all of them when we return 🌴💛

We just spent 6 nights staying at a Pink Gin Ocean View room, we have nothing negative at all to say about our experience which was enjoyable in all aspects. Grenada was the 3rd Sandals we stayed at (after Turks&caicos, and Nassau Bahamas) and definitely the best among the 3 which I am doing my comparison on.||Diving: we are certified divers and dove for a couple of days. Their dive staff was definitely the best compared to the other 2 sandals. The dive staff was way more helpful on the boat, the dive masters we had (1 named Troy, the other one we forgot the name) were both very good-conscientious about our safety.|We used their dive gears and they were new-ish looking, simple/basic to use, and in good condition. 5+ stars on the dive operation!!!!||All other staff we encountered at restaurants were all very pleasant, even ones walking by, they were polite and almost always greeted us at all encounters. Considering they are not allowed to accept tips, they all seem to genuinely enjoy working there.||Room: we typically booked the lower-end rooms and the pink gin ocean view room we had was far better than the rooms we had before Grenada. It was quite modern for sandals, spacious and clean. They put us on the 4th floor which gave us a quite nice ocean view (for a lower-end room).||Food: typical Sandals - quite good and even gourmet at some restaurants. The escargot was very good at the French restaurant which was one of our favorites, we also really liked Soy and Butch’s. We didn’t bother to eat at Kimono’s which is the least of our favorites (ate there at Turks&Caicos).||Beach: typical Sandals, nice and blocked off from the open ocean for safe swimming. The only downside is the width of the beach you can walk is literally only the width of the Sandals property. We like to take long walks on the beach as we were able to do at Turks but couldn’t do at Grenada sandals. Oh well, due to other positive aspects we still enjoyed our stay in Grenada.|You can snorkel right off the beach, not the greatest but something to do along the break walls.||They have something called Loyalty reward dinner held on Tuesday nights. The dinner food was slightly different and each couple was given a gift, a bottle of rum — a nice gesture to appreciate the guests especially returning guests.

This resort is in a very convenient location close to the airport, yet completely free from airport noise. The food was excellent with plenty of great options throughout our stay. What truly sets this place apart is the staff — everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The dive shop is absolutely top notch. Cleveland, Troy, and the entire team went above and beyond to give us an amazing experience. Their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm made our dives unforgettable. We can’t wait to return!

Grenada itself has my heart, such a beautiful country, and Sandals Grenada is just as stunning. This was our second Sandals holiday (September 2025), and somehow it was even better than our first in September 2024, which I didn’t think was possible considering that was our honeymoon! We chose Grenada to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it turned out to be our favourite holiday together. All the restaurants were excellent, especially Kimonos, which we loved so much we booked twice. The chefs, Godwin and Arsole (apologies if I’ve misspelled the names), were fantastic and made it a truly memorable dining experience. My husband and I spent many evenings at the Tipsy Turtle Bar enjoying drinks and the amazing BBQ wings, but the real reason we returned every night was Christian and Jeremiah. They were so welcoming and friendly and genuinely made our evenings special. The beach is beautiful, and the entertainment every evening was great. We absolutely loved the resort and would love to return again soon.
