We Visited Bali at the end of August 2024 for a week and spent 3 nights at the Sandat Glamping resort. I almost cried when we left it we were so sad to leave.
This a very special peaceful and beautiful place, the interior decoration right down to the plates and general decor of the rooms and restaurant were so unique, so much attention to detail. The owners are Italian and have a true eye for design using salvaged items found to create very interesting decor.
The staff was very friendly and we loved the breakfast. We did not rent a car to get around because its too chaotic and finding parking a nightmare so we got around with taxis and for day trips hired a driver. We had two dinners, one night we ate Italian food (very good) and the other tried Indonesian dishes also great.
The Sandat offers Yoga classes (those are not included) and we took advantage of that, the yoga studio is in front of a rice field and was incredibly beautiful. We would definitely stay again, but plan to stay at least 4-5 nights to really relax, we had planned some excursions so only spent a short time at the pool. There are some beautiful places to sit relax and read or simply contemplate life which sadly we barely had time to enjoy, I would have stayed two days at the resort without leaving just to decompress from our flight and enjoy the place and not explore bali, but this was a short trip. I Highly recommend staying here.
