Sandbar Restaurant Yamba

During our quick break in Yamba, we soaked up the very relaxing French ambience and excellent food, coffee and service at Sandbar. The French owners, French chefs and excellent staff provide a truely unique French dining experience. My husband and I savoured three exquisite breakfasts and a ‘to die for’ dinner last night. For breakfast, we can recommend: The Mademoiselle Benedicte, perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, asparagus…and the decadent choice of Crème Brûlée Brioche French Toast…yummm! For dinner we enjoyed both choices of Oysters, Barramundi with cauliflower purée and sauce vierge, and Beef Bourguignon with silky smooth truffled mash. We’ll be back to continue working through their menus!

We have had coffee a couple of times and enjoyed. Breakfast also. Last night we had dinner. Again very nice. The Maître D was always friendly and Elda, our lovely French waitress, looked after us very well. We will come again when next we return to Yamba.

My partner and I har a wonderful experience at Sandbar—dinner last night was delicious and beautifully presented, and breakfast this morning was just as satisfying and flavorful. Elda, our server at dinner, was incredibly kind and attentive, and Florian took great care of us at breakfast with the same warmth and professionalism. A lovely spot with fantastic service—highly recommend!

An excellent bistro with outstanding food and impeccable service. Everything we ordered was delicious, and Florian’s attentive and professional service truly stood out. Highly recommend! Coming back next trip.

What a surprise Sandbar turned out to be . Hubby suggested dinner as we walked past at lunchtime , fortunately I booked via the QR code because to our surprise for a Sunday night staff where sending diners away . The name doesn’t represent the stunning French cuisine served . Highlights for us was the Camembert Cheese and the asparagus small plates . The crab pasta was indeed the highlight of the night followed by a really good sized PannaCotta loaded with fruit and coulis . Finally our waitress Elda complimented our 5 star evening with fast service and pleasant demeanor . (Not to mention her French accent ) Merci Sandbar

We had the most delicious breakfast at Sandbar Yamba — every dish was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The service was absolutely fantastic; warm, friendly, and attentive without being over the top. It’s the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression — I’d come back to Yamba just to visit this little spot again. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed lunch at Sandbar, we all ordered the French dip burger and loved it. Something we had never tried before, rich, indulgent and incredibly satisfying. Our waitress Ophelia was lovely and provided great service.

Great location, food was absolutely amazing, such unexpected flavours, and consistency of flavours mixed well. The quantity was perfect and the quality of the produce was so fresh and delicious. The only downside side was the wait time to be seated, and served. A lot of people were in the same boat and some left annoyed. This came down to the inability for two workers to service the amount of people here while it was so very busy. They worked hard and fast but unfortunately it was sad to see people get fed up and leave missing out on the delightful treat for the tastebuds. The girls working were lovely, polite and apologetic, the wait times might have been a little damper on the experience but the professional way in which they dealt with the demand was top tier (maybe they need just one more person to greet and seat/ taking payments during peak time). Again the food was more than I could have expected, flavours outstanding. Thank you for the experience.
