S&B's Burger Joint

The closing of this place proves my point why I hate this city… I finally got to come here for the first time… and the last time. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I hate this city so much. Every place I go to either closes or gets rid of their vegan options. I don’t understand. I never will. I hate this city and I can’t wait to live somewhere that actually caters to vegans. It’s not fair.

This was a must stop on our trip to the area because my husband had been there before and wanted me to try it. The restaurant is located inside of a very old building, when you walk in it has a bit of an old musty smell in the office building. The restaurant is small with a theme around the 80s and 90s/MTV era with music videos playing, etc.. The server was perfectly nice, the restaurant could probably benefit from some better ventilation as the food that was cooking was putting very strong smell in the air. I had looked at the menu online and picked out some boneless pickle wings Only to find out that they are not a “corporate store“ so this particular restaurant did not have the item I wanted. The salad I ended up ordering was perfectly fine as was my husband’s burger and fries. Nothing particularly great about the place, but I can’t say it wasn’t decent.

Walked in and the Host had a Maggot Stomp shirt. I knew I was in the right kind of place. The decor is a cozy homage to Rock and Roll Royalty and our Server, Kieth was enthusiastic with recommendations which is always a great sign. The house chips and French Onion dip are hard to keep your hands off of. I had a Theta Slider, a Hendrix Special slider, and a King Slider. My Wife also had a Hendrix Special and Fries. Come here, order food, and listen to good music.

Great for work lunches, family gatherings, or casual dates. S&Bs offer 3 vegan, plant based options. They are very delicious and the staff is knowledgeable about milk allergens. The food portions are huge! I didn't order fries with my burger and it was still too much. It's worth mentioning that everything is greasy- almost too greasy to eat for someone who doesn't eat fast food.

This one is the BEST S&B location. The others are good but this one is the bees knees. I’m not sure why bees have the gold standard for knees but they do so stop asking silly questions. Best food. Best service. Best bartenders. Best experience. Every time.

Hands down, this place has the best french fries or the sweet potato fries I have ever tasted in this town. I kind of realized that this place of plenty of options for vegetarians or vegans, and their plant based burger was so yummy. Our waitress could have paid a little more attention to us. She was busy chatting with her colleagues than serving us. A little chat is fine, but we were hardly listened to. But, cheers to their amazing food, and retro ambience 🤘🏼

Customer service is amazing and so is the food. We got the 2 for $26 and are highly satisfied. The food came out very fast. My only complaint is how closed in the place is but I understand they are limited to a small space.

We strolled in about 5:30pm and got a seat at the bar. Usually, I prefer not to sit at the bar, but it was fun to do so here. I ordered a grilled mac and cheese sandwich and it was everything I hoped it would be. Great taste! Along with that I ordered one of their Bloody Mary drinks. A proper Bloody Mary should be a meal in and of itself. This did not disappoint. It was one of the best I have ever had. It even rivaled the one at Granite City in Franklin, TN. Great Drink! The coworkers I at dinner with said their food was equally as good. The service was terrific as well. The ladies that seat you and serve you are friendly and want your dining experience to be right. Check this place out. There is cool art and murals on the wall. There is also a DJ booth, although the time we were there, was not what I would have called the Ideal DJ hour. I say check this place out, and you won't be disappointed. It may just turn into your favorite hangout.

The service here is very good. I sat in the bar area and she was very accommodating. The atmosphere is great and the place is very clean. The food had great flavor to it. My friends and I had wonderful time here and will definitely come back.

Food is delicious and excellent service! Great atmosphere. We will definitely go back when in the Oklahoma City area.

We ordered some burgers, fries and a milkshake to go. The star of the show were the fries. The were perfectly crisp and tasted great. However, at a burger place, I was hoping the burgers would have been out of this world great. That was not the case. We got 'The Fatty' and 'The Theta' The Fatty was the better of the two. But nothing too special. The Theta was swimming in a pool of sauce, which made the bun sopping wet and unpleasant. As for the milkshake, we got the banana pudding milkshake. Which tasted a lot like what I believe banana lotion from Bath and Body Works would taste like. It was awful, would not recommend unless you like the taste of chemically grown banana.

I'm a fan of S&B's, but this visit taught me that I don't like all of their burger recipes. I ordered The Columbian with sea salt and coffee. It barely tasted like coffee and had an almost overwhelming amount of salt on it. I didn't send it back because it was tolerable. Now I can see that this burger comes with avocado to mask (complement?) the salty burger. If I order the Columbian again, I will most definitely request no salt or light salt on the patty. The rest of our visit was great. I came here with my family to celebrate a birthday. Our server took good care of us. She made enough return visits to make us feel like we could get her attention when needed. She provided us with a foosball when we asked about how to play the foosball game in the dining room.

We sat outside in nice weather, server was nice and the service was great too. When the food came out it looked delicious! My slider (the fatty) was amazing along with the onion rings! The onion rings are HUGE, but were very delicious!

Food wasn't as expected. Menu was overpriced and the food was 2/10 on quality. The service was terrible I waited almost 35 mins to receive and very disappointing burger. The food looked terrible. The grease was dripping and soaked my bun making it look and taste disgusting. Don't eat here. Would have been zero stars if it was possible

Great music, great service. The burgers are always amazing, but if you haven't tried the pepper Jack cheese cubes, you're missing out.

First time to eat here and it was amazing! The burgers were very tasty and fresh, the house made chips some of the best I've ever eaten and the French fries were crispy and tasty. Our waiter was very attentive and efficient. I will definitely be back. Love all the parking space.

Our travelling soccer team needed a casual place for a festive meal and some good beverages, and this S&B's really came through. The burgers were all really good, and there were plenty of adventurous options. I had the Ron Swanson burger of the month, and the bacon jam on that thing was awesome. Menu prices were very fair for the nice meal we enjoyed, and the service was absolutely phenomenal. With a big group with kids and multiple tabs, we were going to be tough to handle. Our server rocked it out, and everything was perfect. S&Bs was incredible for our large group, and we will be back whenever soccer drags us up to Oklahoma City again.

Pretty good for a smash burger. Actually cooked to order. Vegetarian/ plant based section. (Impossible Burger) $10 deal was perfect.

Amazing burgers for a great price I had the black and bleu burger it was the best burger I've ever had especially at the price so I got 3 of them

Food - We had the Porker burger, Sriracha bacon cheesy tots, and mile high nachos. The burger was good and they had several options for swapping toppings. Cheesy tots where crispy and hot. The only issue was with the nachos good taste but, had very little cheese sauce. Service- while our server said they had a new staff, you couldn't really tell because we were seated immediately and didn't have to wait long for our food. Might be different if there were more seats.

I haven't had S&Bs in a few years!! Overall this place is fantastic. The food was cooked to perfection and seasoned amazing! I had the Dixie Devil chicken sandwich! It was so juicy and crispy! It had ranch and a honey bbq sauce with jalapeño served with a side of fries! We also had the Sriracha Tots! The had just the right amount of spice! The best part about this location is the server Danielle! She is so friendly and made some amazing recommendations! She made us feel important even though she was the only server in the restaurant during a busier night. Thanks Danielle!

Started our meal with some fun chips and French union dip. That was a great 4/5. Then we got the sriracha tots. The flavors didn't mix well but it was still decently good. 3/5. Then we got our burgers. I got the Mac returns and my wife got the bacon guacamole burger. Both burgers were dry and somehow offensive. Both just did not taste good. I would give them a 1/5. Really soured the whole experience. Ambiance was okay. We sat outside because it was chilly inside the building. Thankfully our waiter was cool. That helped a lot. Either way for a yelp rated 4 star restaurant, it left a lot to be desired.

I don't give five stars often. When I do, it's because the place has something that is out-of-this-world, best-in-class, or because they do something unique. These days, you can get specialty burgers anywhere, but S&B's tripled down on what anyone else had done. I don't really count Red Robin (Yawnnnn), and The Garage may have been open in Norman earlier, but not in OKC. At this point, I feel compelled to give a tip of the hat to Johnny's. I love me some Caesar Burger, and JCB leads the pack since J-Pat's closed (no, they're using the name, but that ain't J-Pats). And S&B was the first to emphasize sliders. They have something for everyone. I've tried several, but I keep coming back to the Fire, the Black and Bleu and the Fatty. A few years ago, I tried several of the local onion burgers. I didn't make it to Nic's, but of Tucker's, The Garage and a few other places, I liked S&B's Fatty the best (provided you have them add mustard). The Fire is my favorite. The green chiles and chipotle ranch give it a kick, but not so much that it covers up the burger itself. The loaded fries are amazing. The peanut butter and bacon fries changed my life. And they used to have these loaded tots with either BBQ sauce and/or sriracha that were so good we had to stop ordering them. We would gorge ourselves, then be too full to enjoy the burger. They're not on the menu, but I'm guessing they could whip them up, if requested. I wish I could tell you about their pizzas and other stuff, but I can't not order a burger when I'm there. I mean, geez, ordering pizza at a burger joint would be like, well, ordering a burger at a pancake restaurant. You can, but why would you?

S&B's is one of my favorite burger spots in OKC. There's a full "plant-based" (vegan) menu. Any burger can be ordered with a house made veggie patty or an Impossible patty. My favorite is the plant-based Cuban with an Oreo milkshake (yes, they have a vegan milkshake!!). The service here is always fast. This location has a very small dining room, but usually isn't too crowded.

I am sooooo in love! They have so many vegan options! I ordered the "chik'n" nuggets, which are really two "chik'n" patties quartered with sauce in them. It is really good. I substituted the buffalo sauce for the garlic sauce. The only negative was that I could have used more sauce. They also have vegan ranch [HAPPY DANCE]. They brought it to me with celery sticks. Oh yum! I ordered a coconut mojito and it was good, they were out of the coconut milk though. I ordered s vegan chocolate peanut butter milkshake to go. It was so good and decadent. I don't remember the last time I was able to have a milkshake.

If you like a music video environment with good burgers and decent salads this may be your place. "Like Rain " by Alanis Morissette is playing now. The staff was friendly, the Thunderbird salad was tasty. What's not to like except the hand sanitizer dispenser taped up with duct tape and barely hanging together! What were you thinking! The video "Kiss me" by SixPence None the Richer is playing now, But I am still struggling not to stare at the broken dispenser

Great options! Substitute an Impossible patty on any burger! Onion is sliced so slim it's like similar to sauerkraut texture... It's amazing! The chocolate shake was to die for! Cant wait to return. We need an S & B Burger in California!

Love S&B Burgers and the NW 59th and May location! Love their new touches inside and the newly remodeled patio! Ordered the fried pickles for the first time! Fun, tasty choice. I had the Black and Blu slider and Jim had the Bacon Guacamole burger. Our server was Ruby and she as fantastic!

Visiting from Dallas and a local friend recommended this spot for dinner. The highlight was the Taco Truck Tots. These things are legit! Order these. Just do it. Crispy, cheesy, the perfect amount of spice, roasted corn. Pure yummm! Two of us split the order, but I would have happily eaten the whole serving myself. Or 2. We also both ordered the Sir-Bac-A-Lot burger, which was very tasty as well. We ordered takeout and everything was still warm and delicious when we got home. Great job, S & B Burger Joint!

VERY yummy and extensive burger menu items...I really liked the bugers and fries...the staff are extremely friendly and helpful...The entrance, however, was kind of located weird.....A++!!!

We regrettably ordered takeout from S&B on 59th and May. My son and husband enjoyed their burgers, although they were not made to order. I have visited S&B several times throughout the years but my last 3 visits have left me feeling extremely disappointed. We have visited various locations and each time the food has been pretty awful. Our last ditch effort was trying this Togo option. My veggie burger was pretty terrible - it fell apart immediately upon removing it from its packaging. I ate a few bites and thought, "well thankfully I ordered the veg Mac and cheese, maybe that will be better"...boy was I wrong. It is the most terrible Mac and cheese I've ever had in my life. I told my husband "this is locker room Mac and cheese"...he looks at me, baffled. I hand it to him to try a bite and he spits it out immediately. I then explained the "locker room Mac and cheese" naming, as the vegan cheese recipe must have come from an athletes toe cheese - yes, I am not exaggerating...it was indeed that terrible. One last ditch to quench my hunger...the beloved pepper jack cheese cubes. Low and behold, they had no cheese in them. If you're a vegetarian, vegan, or if you like good food...don't be fooled by the vast menu options. Save your time and go anywhere else.

Down here with the grandkids. They love it. Me, not so much. Food is ok. Atmosphere is good, waitresses are friendly. Not much of a menu.

Did the 2 for 25.00, ordered the dipping tots for app. They were good, along w the queso, burgers were horrible, raw, fell apart as soon as they were picked up. Neither burgers had more than 2 bites and were left that way. Horrible experience. Disappointing because other S&B locations are great. Waitress was very nice, kitchen staff were in & out of the front area. May be why the food suffered.

This location is my favorite!!! The original!! The new owners are doing a fantastic job and my friends and I frequent happy hour!!!

Had a great lunch at S&B today. My wife and I got the 2/$20 deal. Fries pickles, the porker burger and fries. All served hot and tasty! Service was great too!

First time trying this place and will definitely be back. Quick and friendly service. The food was amazing and large portions! The Cluck Norris with sweet potato fries was excellent!

Chicken fried a bit to long and fries decent but if you are hungry I would choose this place over Buffalo wild wings

My fiance ordered the blue burger and I had the hatch burger. Both so delicious ! The place was clean the staff was prepared and friendly. Will definitely be back!!!

I understand on a Tuesday evening the staff might not be at full capacity. But I honestly felt like the service I received was awful. I came in just before 7pm and sat at the bar. I was greeted by the bartender and asked a question about a special and pretty much never encountered her again. I sat at the bar because I wanted a drink while I waited for my Togo order. The bartender then proceeded to take orders from two other tables and cash another one out before she signaled to the host to take my order. I was never given a card slip to sign or be able to leave a tip. I was also charged an extra $.22 for paying with a card?!? It's less than a quarter, but why...? This isn't a small business that needs to pass on processing costs to its customers. It then took almost 40 mins to get a cheeseburger and fries. I was handed a stapled bag that had no napkins or condiments and wasn't even asked if I wanted some. I didn't ask because after the better part of an hour, I was ready to come home. I gave three stars cause it was still a decent burger, even though it sat in the window as a I watched the bottom bun get soggy.

Very small place. No problem. Very slow service . Food was good thougH. One of the best cheeseburgers I've had in a while.

When time travel becomes possible, the first thing I'll do is go back in time and warn my younger self about the horrible burger experience that's going to cost him (me) $11.00. After that, I'll tell him (me) the winning lottery numbers that he (I) should spend the $11.00 on instead. Also, I'll probably advise him (me) on choosing a degree with greater earning potential (because winning the lottery is not enough, I guess). As God is my witness, I would have rather eaten a McDouble®. Somewhere up in bovine heaven (it's a thing), there's a cow wailing right now because her body was part of such a travesty. First of all, $4.25 for a slider? I've had my fair share of sliders, and they usually run in the range of $2.00(ish). $4.00+ is some serious state fair-level bamboozlement. I ordered The Fire slider, and the Hot Lips Houlihan (HLH) slider to go. The HLH slider was so awful that I actually start fuming when I think about it. The description mentions grilled onions, green leaf lettuce, kimchi and Korean grilled BBQ beef. What I actually got was soggy, soy sauce covered lettuce, no kimchi (that I could detect), very little grilled onions, and more soy sauce. There was so much soy sauce in the container that the burger was floating in sauce/water; the bun was slimy, gross, and so disgusting that I gagged (after biting into it) and had to throw it away. I kept the beef, which tastes like, surprise, soy sauce. Words can't begin to describe what an infuriatingly terrible burger this was. The Fire slider was better, but does that mean much at this point? The spicy ranch and onion strings made it pretty enjoyable, but the chilies were soggy and took away from the burger. Something else I noticed with both burgers was how sloppily they were made. It's not even like a, "Our burgers are so big and filled with stuff that the bun can't hold it!" kind of sloppy. It's a sloppiness that seems to be borne of pure laziness; almost as if the cooks were playing basketball and free-throwing the ingredients to see if they could get them in the container. After tip, it was $11.00. They may as well have reached into my pocket, yanked out the money, and brandished a bottle of Kikkoman® while cackling maniacally à la the Wicked Witch of the West, because that HLH burger was evil. Evil!!! Rage. Grief. Regret. Betrayal. These feelings... Is this what a broken heart feels like? Thanks S & B's. I think you broke my heart. Also thanks to all of you four- and five-star Yelpers. You had a hand in breaking my heart as well. A lot of you mentioned having libations of some sort with your food, which would explain why you liked the food so much; you were drunk. "Best burger ever!" my brown ascot... I know my rant is (just a tad) melodramatic, but this was, no exaggeration, the worst burger I've ever eaten in my life, and I've eaten at Jack In The Box. It was likely a freak occurrence; I'm aware that I'm floating somewhat alone in this hyperbolized sea of S & B praise, but with a food experience that was as awful as it can get combined with the ridiculous price point, I won't be back for as long as I can hold a grudge (which is quite a while; see Cuppies & Joe). However, the customer service was great, and they take KeepItLocalOK (10% off), which... I forgot to use so... FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU-

Khang, our server, was fantastic! Very friendly, quick, and attentive. As my first time here I was happy to see a variety in plant-based options. The availability of vegetarian/vegan menu items definitely affects my view of a restaurant. I really enjoyed the bloody mary and the unique flavors of the veggie burger. Will be back!

After having enjoyed S&B for several years now, I popped in yesterday at the May and 59th street location to enjoy my favorite burger. Coming into the restaurant there's a sign that says seat yourself. So I did. It took about 10 minutes in that small space for anyone to greet me. A young long haired boy brought me a Sierra Mist that I ordered and the menu. Eventually this girl who was everywhere it seemed, stopped and let me know she'd get me some water or a drink and my drink was right there and I pointed to it. She then said she'd be back to get my order. About 20 minutes later, as I watched her all over the place (if she was in the weeds no one paid much attention) there was another young man with a nose ring who didn't seem to have much to do until a large party came in, probably larger party more money. I finally got to order and she kept calling my drink water. Seemed a little out of sorts? I got my appetizer and waited for my food. I got the Colombian slider as I had the Cobb salad for my entree, and discovered this location is no longer part of the chain. I don't know if it's because I was alone but the tables who had two or more got way faster attention and service. I used to work in the restaurant industry and this was pretty bad service overall and it saddened me a bit. Looks like the other locations will be much more worth the visit.

I enjoy Turkey Burgers. S&B's Turkey Burgers are the best I've EVER tasted. I've eaten them at most of the S&B's n OKC. The fine quality was served at all locations.

Great vibe with the music scene. The Fatty Double Burger was very goood! I added fried onions and was a great addition! Recommend to anyone with taste buds. Will be back next time in OKC!!

The server was incompetent, it took 20 minutes to get my drink which I never got because he never came to check. They didn't ask us what we wanted to eat, whoever the chubby long hair "server" is sucks at his job his managers suck. Asked for THREE different beers and they didn't have a single one. Ignore this place.

Couldn't even get someone to take our drink order. Several employees just standing around. After 15 minutes we got frustrated and left.

Take out was sloppy & inefficient. The N. May location is grungy. Cannot recommend either dine-in or take out...a prett awful experience.

Pretty consistent. We travel the state a lot for work and always enjoy eating out. Nothing spectacular, but always consistent.

Super good burger place. Great music, perfect lighting, loved the long island. The dipping tots are amazing. Yummy tots with queso. Would definitely return here!

-0, I've never had such a horrible experience never ever at a restaurant like this in my entire life. Was completely ignored for 45 minutes after I asked for a menu then the waitress never returned to take my drink order or food order after I had been patiently waiting by this time a whole hour. No food, no drinks, no service the entire time I was there. So the waitress waiting on everyone around me and never acknowledged our presence. My son and I were in there for one hour and left NEVER GOT DRINKS, NEVER GOT FOOD, NEVER GOT CHECKED ON, NEVER GOT ASKED IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING. The worst customer service in the world. I don't even know her name because she never acknowledged us, she's tall and has long blonde stingy hair. She's the worst!!!!

Love this place. The atmosphere is great, the service is great. This is my 3rd time here and I'm so mad they got rid of the ramen burger. I dreamt about it for a year.. Couldn't wait to have it again. It's gone! BRING THE RAMEN BURGER BACK !!! I had the king no onions added pickles.. Very good. Also the chili lime. It was okay.. Didn't like the salsa on it. I got the sliders. I love that they offer slider versions of most of their burgers.

Well, I came back. I was not welcomed and not even served water for several minutes. Place was not crowded. Just despondent staff. Can't even keep ketchup filled. I live in the neighborhood so this has been a convenient place for eats and drinks. But the longer I have gone here, the worse the service has become. Probably won't go back.

This is by far the best S&B's in Oklahoma that I have visited. They have an amazing vegan menu and an amazing regular menu. The service is always spot on, people are friendly and attentive. Food is spectacular, I honestly have nothing but good things to say about it!

So, I just received my takeout order. I had asked for extra sauce and onions, because they always come dry. Well I received neither, again and the wilted lettuce was too much. Two bites of avocado. Barely enough cheese to taste it. It is the good gouda cheese. Why bother trying again. Will be the last time I order from them. I have to take the burger home to fix it up so it is not so dry. The meat does cover the bun and that is nice.

Came in today for lunch and I usually do t come to this location but it was on my way. I ordered the fatty burger, peanut butter sweet potato fries, and a cucumber mule. Best fries I've had at a location! Burger was fabulous and the mule was delicious and in a copper mug. If it's not in a copper mug it's not a mule! Very much enjoyed my lunch! Service was great!
