This was a beautiful campground with lots of trees and shades. The owner Harry lives in a beautiful house on-site. He was so nice and helpful. The bathrooms were super clean with good showers. Harry tells people when they come in no outside lights after dark, but he doesn't enforce it. I was all prepped for a dark skies campground, but alas, no such luck. I did gently ask the two offenders to please extinguish outside lights, and it worked the second night! Every evening you're treated to a beautiful sunset with a view of the spectacular red sandstone (if that's what it is) high cliffs and mesas. If you walk from your campsite across Highway 24 you'll see the Hunt & Gather restaurant. This was as fabulous as any foodie restaurant I've eaten in back in Austin. Right here in the Southeastern Utah desert!!

I stayed here with my 2 young children for our spring break vacation to Capitol Reef. We stayed in cabin 3. It was cute, welcoming, and stayed plenty warm all night even when temperatures dipped to the low 20's and it was snowing outside. The room was nicely laid out and the bed was super comfy. The blankets were warm and clean. We loved the lava rock pathway, the cute firepit, the comfy lounge chairs, and rustic charm. The bathrooms were clean and the water was warm. The view was superb. The gentleman who greeted us at check in was very friendly, and he made sure we were all set. My kids absolutely loved staying, and I did too, and they are already asking when we can stay again. Thanks!

The sites are tight between one RV and the neighbors. The bathrooms need improvement. The door at toilet will hit your knees. The shower stalls offers very little privacy. We stayed several nights and were assigned a site in the back of the row in the center of the park. NO view. Ppl that were over nighters were assigned sites in the perimeter of the park getting a magnificent view to the mountain. There was great space to walk your dog Plenty of birds and wildflowers. It was weird or different checking in outside. No office.

Our family had the pleasure of staying at Sand Creek RV Park, and it was one of the most welcoming and well-cared-for parks we’ve experienced. From the start, Leslie greeted us with genuine warmth and hospitality that immediately put us at ease. She’s not just a host, she’s the soul of this beautiful place.||The park is clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect balance of comfort and natural beauty. Every part of the stay felt intentional, from the well-maintained grounds to the peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax and feel at home.||Leslie’s kindness, attentiveness, and personal touches created a sense of community and care that is rare to find. Whether you’re staying a night or planning a longer visit, this is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression.||We can’t recommend Sand Creek RV Park highly enough. Thanks to Leslie, it’s not just a stop, it’s an experience you’ll carry with you long after you leave.

My wife and I had a three night stay at Sand Creek, so far our favorite spot to camp! Beautiful setting, extremely clean and well maintained. Good bathrooms and shower facility. Nice folk and great location as you can walk into Troutdale shops and museum.

We spent three nights here in a pop up camper. The owners were personable and more than helpful. The bathrooms were clean with enough hot water for a shower and the proximity to Capital Reef made it so easy to make return visits. The scenery offered red canyon views. Visit Chuck Wagon down the road for laundromat and all the groceries you need.

Great location. Great views. Clean bathrooms. Quiet. Picnic tables. Good water pressure. Relaxed atmosphere. Next to a good Mexican restaurant. DOES NOT have a laundry facility but there is one just down the road. DOES NOT have warm or hot water showers.

The park was easy to find. It is located just west of the Torrey town site on highway 24. There is pavement all the way. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are gravel and in good condition. Our site, 01, was a gravel based pull though that was long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp, water and sewer only) were to the left rear. We had to disconnect the towed and park it in front of our coach. Distancing is close for a rural park. Each site has a table and a fire pit (but located on the left side). Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was clean and pleasantly maintained We did not use the park included wifi and there was NO cable TV. We did not find any OTA channels. Satellite should not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean but rustic. There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be a good base from which to take in the near by Capitol Reef area. Sadly, it began to snow shortly after we arrived. We had booked three days but left after one. The owner was gracious enough to give us directions to “safely” leave the area.. We paid $77.08 per night and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again. We did not ask for a refund on the unused nights as weather is not the owners responsibility.

Yelp
I don't know what that 2 star was about, this is a great RV resort. It's owned by a super nice couple who take care of their guests and their RV park. Sure, it's not as green and pristine as the RV park up the road but they care about their place. The other park seems to be pretty strict. Also, it's dinner time and many of the campers are back, the wifi is working great. Also, hello, you are camping... I work from wifi but I'm never mad when the wifi isn't working out in RV/Campgrounds. The showers are super clean as is the laundromat. The park has full hookups as well as places for tents, including a wind shelter. The vibe is nice as well. You can tell it's run by people who really want to be here and love it here. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It's a short drive to the general store and to CRNP. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Charged credit card for two nights for an RV site, then charged again when we arrived a few weeks later. Dishonest double charges. Additional issues similar to another reviewer.

Yelp
BEWARE before you book! I had booked a cabin for a Family Reunion that was taking place in Torrey. A week before the Reunion, my Husband's Company Owner/Friend passed away. Unfortunately, the funeral was scheduled during our trip & we had to cancel. I emailed 8 times, made calls, etc. I even sent the Obituary/Funeral arrangements. I never heard back from anyone and was charged the full amount. Harry, the Owner, finally calls a week later. Apologizes for an error with their phone/email system on their end. He offers to refund me. We are now going on 2 weeks & no refund! I've emailed & called numerous times. They are a fraudulent couple after reading other reviews. I will be disputing charges with my Credit Card company since I have the voicemail stating their intention of a refund. I had higher hopes for a small town in Utah. Sad to be scammed by this place.

Yelp
This RV park is perfect it's close enough to Capitol reef National park.Restaurants right down the street and the view from our trailer is awesome the people have been very friendly answered every question couldn't ask for anything else

Yelp
We rented a cabin, which cost a total of about $43/night. The cabin was clean and comfortable. There is no AC, but it stayed pretty cool, especially at night. There is a bed, a fan and a couple of chairs and tables. The shared bathrooms is a short walk away and they were clean. The showers have good water pressure and drained well. I like that they had recycling bins by the bathrooms. The view from the park is pretty nice, especially at sunset. There were also a few porch cats in the morning and afternoon in front of the office. There are bicycles by the bathroom that you can borrow to ride around town. The camp site has enough space for a tent and a car. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . ( ` - ` - ' - ' ' - - - ' ' ( _ / . _ ) - ' ( _ \ _ ) 2018

Yelp
We had an amazing stay at one of their cute and cozy cabins. Breath taking views, hot showers, and kind hosts. Thank you for having us!

Vivian B.

Yelp
We stayed for a few nights and enjoyed the Beautiful view, The bathrooms are clean and customer service was friendly and accessible even by text The campsites are crammed, virtually no privacy from your neighbor Weeds need to be cleaned out from campsites; they are annoying under the picnic benches as well as in and around the fire pits

Garbage R.

Yelp
This place is unreasonably expensive for what you get. We payed nearly $130 for two nights. The bathrooms and showers were very subpar. The bathroom stalls were so small you could barely even be inside without some part of your body hitting the door. The showers never got hot which was noticed by myself and multiple other guests. This was especially annoying considering it was 35-45 degrees each day, and the air almost felt warmer than the water coming out. Overall it was $50 dollars a night so I am not sure where the $30 worth of fees is going if the amenities are in the state that I experienced them.

Yelp
We stayed here because of the rave reviews so I was expecting something really great however we were sadly disappointed. CONS: There is a view but you can't see it from your campsite, the grassy area was a weed patch, when the campground filled up the internet was super slow, we have a trailer and there was not much room to set up a patio area. PROS: Power, water and sewer worked fine. Bathroom and showers were pretty clean This could be a great RV park with some hard work and TLC. There is a better park just up the road that we will stay in next time.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Amazing campground! Super clean showers, best views and kind hosts! Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you for everything!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
This place is nothing short of amazing! I booked this site in December and had the date wrong! Harry was 100% accommodating and made it an awesome time! THANK YOU!!!!

John B.

Yelp
Great stop! Friendly personal treatment. FULL RV hook ups and cute cabins. Sites are nice gravel some green and trees. Views are amazing from the RV site. Views improve towards the back of the RV park. If you want easy access to fish lake National park and hikes this is your spot. The open spaces around the RV park are amazing breathtaking even. RV site has a picnic table and fire pit with grill rack. Owner is great super accommodating. Great spot!

Sarah P.

Yelp
A really great place to stay conveniently located near Capitol Reep. The park is well-kept and has everything you need. Harry is super friendly ! There is firewood and ice available to purchase in an honesty box. Clean showers and toilets.

Vicki L.

Yelp
After speaking to the owner and offering to pay one night for both RVs she refused and told me I was just wasting 5 hours of her time by contesting the credit card charge (3 nights x2) . She then yelled at me and said go ahead and contest them because she always wins! I guess I wasn't the first unhappy camper. I did contest the charges with our credit card company and they were reversed for a full refund. Don't let her bully you if you need to contest her unethical business practice.

Yelp
Super relaxed atmosphere & owners, clean bathrooms when we were there, the wifi worked pretty well (though it did go down for a few minutes a handfull of times it was back pretty quickly). The small 1-room cabins were well accomodated for our simple needs and super affordable. The porch-cats were friendly too! When we're in the area again I know where we'll be staying!

Lexi R.

Yelp
Beautiful and clean campground just down the street from Capitol Reef NP! Harry was so lovely and very accommodating to our needs. He let us pick our site and there were many tent spaces to choose from. They had showers, laundry and ice for reasonable price. Felt very comfortable and safe. We'll be back! Thanks Harry!

M L.

Yelp
This was such a delightful place to stay- the owners are super nice and knowledgeable, clean nice bathrooms and showers, the grounds just the right amount of rugged. Photo is behind our campsite

Hazel G.

Yelp
I love this place!!!!! We stayed in a non electric site in our van. The bathrooms are small but very clean with nice clean showers and flush toilets. Our site was only $20 and it was right by a spigot. I absolutely loved the owner!! She was so sweet and friendly. Also, there is service and wifi. I would definitely come here again.

Anthony M.

Yelp
I love this place. Located close to Capital reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion national parks. Let's not forget the great UT12. Leslie and Harry have always been such good hosts for our annual dog motorcycling group reunion.

Tricia B.

Yelp
How can I describe our stay? We were exhausted when we arrived and a little worried about being out in the middle of nowhere....Lol! Harry greeted us and made each step so easy. We rented the family room. It was simple but almost like staying at a family members home..The only SMALL complaint I have is the state of the mini fridge...it was a bit nasty...But for the price the cabin was well worth it....But the real deal was Harry and the view. He was so helpful and accommodating. My kids and I camped all the way from Cali to florida and we stayed at some pretty luxurious handsome basic places., But if you asked any of us...our best memory was sitting out in the garden area with Harry star gazing (we even camped at disney) None of us will ever forget seeing the sky in all its spectacular glory. We can't wait to come back with the entire family! Trish and the kiddos!

Cynthia F.

Yelp
The owner Harry is so helpful He draws personalized crayon maps, lends out hiking books and makes sure you know how to enjoy the area. Sites are pull through. Great for the backing impaired. Clean bathrooms with hot showers.

Jaleen S.

Yelp
Loved this place. Rented a cabin to go down to capitol reef for the weekend. Was CHEAP about $36 a night plus a flat $10 cleaning fee for our dog. Cabin was basic and lovely. They provide linens that are comfy and clean. Bathrooms and grounds are kept nice. Owners are great people! Will definitely be back.

Nicole M.

Yelp
STELLAR. The owners are super friendly. The site is pet friendly with lots of grassy area to play. They have multiple communal areas. The showers are hot and clean and only $5 per load to do laundry. We were able to connect to the high speed internet with our Roku stick no problem.

Tracey M.

Yelp
A small, but very clean and well run RV park. They have pull through sites with power, water, and sewer, as well as cabins and tent sites. The tent sites have windbreaks also. The bathrooms and showers were very modern and clean. The owners were great. As an added bonus, there is a really great restaurant right across the road (Cafe Diablo). We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Beth S.

Yelp
Sand creek was amazing!!! The bathrooms were the best ever!!!!!! Hosts were amazing!!!!!

Hannah M.

Yelp
This camp site is great. The owners are super nice and accommodating. We had to change our plans last minute and we were able to add 2 extra nights. Bathrooms are clean and there's nice hot water. Stay here!

Kelly C.

Yelp
Harry and Leslie are fantastic camp hosts!! They went above and beyond, making our stay at Sandcreek RV Park they best of our trip. We stayed in one of their cabins during our visit to Capital Reef NP. The bed was very comfortable, the bathrooms had hot showers and everything was clean. The price was extremely reasonable and Harry gave us lots of tips on what to see and do in the area. Everything was SO CLOSE to the campground! We will be back for sure!

Louise V.

Yelp
This was such an unexpected joy! Gorgeous views, easy access, very nice facilities and owners! Showers were a welcome surprise and so clean. We stayed 2 nights but could have stayed longer. Torrey is a delightful little town.

Erin D.

Yelp
This was a perfect spot for us to stop between Moab and Zion. Thank you to the owner for letting us come in later in the night and being so hospitable to us! I would recommend to anyone coming through the area!

Bradley O.

Yelp
Hands down the best campground and RV Park in Torrey, UT. If you have the pleasure to stay here you will not be dissapointed. The campground itself has such a great feel and the view is unreal! The facilities are clean and comfortable, they even have a really nice laundry room. The campground is close to town but just far enough away to provide peace and quiet. The owners live on site and are the most amazing people and make you feel welcome right from the beginning. We have stayed here for the last 2 years and we will not stay anywhere else when visiting Torrey.

Sarah J.

Yelp
I could not of stumbled upon a better place to stay the night in such a beautiful part of Utah. We showed up in the middle of the night with no where else to stay and the lovely couple that runs the place did everything they could to make sure that we had a place to stay for the night. I would love to come back here again and I highly recommend it. The cabins are clean and insulated well. Nice rustic feel.

Yelp
Hidden gem - close to Capitol Reef National Park (another hidden gem) the RV park was recently acquired by Leslie and Harry after the previous owner retired. The park is located far enough off the road so that there is no road noise to disturb you but within a couple of minutes of Torrey so restaurants and stores are close. There are wonderful views that go on forever, the park was quiet every night we stayed except for the quiet guitar-playing from an adjacent site (which only improved the experience). The new owners (three months) are friendly, happy to see you and working hard to improve the campground - there are now three cabins and about 15 full hook-up RV sites (I think all are pull-through). Bathrooms and showers were very clean and well kept. The ONLY reason we didn't give the park five stars was due to the fact we couldn't get reliable internet at our site (we asked for the site furthest from the office so this was no surprise). They have already ordered faster internet and are working on extending stronger WIFI to the edge of the park. Leslie solved our need for internet instantly by inviting us into the RV park office even though it was well after closing time and didn't mind that we stayed there until 10:00 PM! Try that at one of the "big" parks! We will definitely stay here the next time we go to Capitol Reef!

Katie S.

Yelp
Husband and I were trying to get away from Moab for a couple of days, so I made reservations at this place. We reserved a cabin ($36 - $39-something with tax). When we arrived to check in, the owner (Harry) was super friendly, and accomodating. We got our choice of cabins, and we loved our choice. The WiFi was a strong signal all over the grounds. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Harry! Only recommendations - A mirror in the cabins would be good.

Jennifer F.

Yelp
I had a wonderful time! My boyfriend and I stopped in on our way through Utah. The owners are so nice and picked the best spot for us. The views are unbelievable! Great hikes and day adventures near by. They have Firewood for sale and great fire pits. The stars shine so brightly at night you'll want to stay out to see them :) We will most certainly be back. Hopefully many times!

Allen V.

Yelp
My son and I had been planning this trip to Utah for two years and the stars of the trip were the National Parks. I understood that many of the features would be closed because of the pandemic but when we got here we found that we wouldn't be able to do anything in the parks at all. The owner took the time to tell us of some great sightseeing excursions and we took advantage of them. They were great and made the trip. If it wasn't for the owner the trip would have been a total bust. The park was clean and well tended and he made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Couldn't rate this park any higher.

Molly M.

Yelp
Beautiful setting--our campsite had great views. The bathrooms were beautiful and very clean. Owners are friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely be back.

Wayne M.

Yelp
We blew without a reservation and he owners bent over backwards to accommodate us and make us comfortable. The restrooms were clean, as we're the showers, the spring water was quite tasty. drwayne

Sean M.

Yelp
I've stayed here three times over the last four years. I'm surprised that I'm the first to post a review. Owners have been the same for 20 plus years. Very nice and knowledgeable about the area. Their shared bathrooms/showers are the cleanest I've ever seen for a campground. They have 15 camping sites with full hook ups. There are an additional 4-6 tent sites. Price is very affordable for the area. I would recommend this to anyone.

Jordan D.

Yelp
We stayed here in early April and had a great experience. Only planned to stay one night but ended up staying two more. The owners are friendly and helpful. The WiFi was good but slowed down at night (which is to be expected). Overall we had a great time!

Kathy G.

Yelp
There are now new owners of this park and they have already made vast improvements. The cabins have been updated and refreshed and an additional cabin was just completed on the back of the property. This park backs up to the cliffs and has beautiful views and the sites are away from the road. It was very quiet at night. There is a pavilion for activities and the owner is installing family games that can be used by guests. There is a quaint store at the front of the property offering items you may have forgotten, snacks and beautiful handmade jewelry. The new owners are in the process of expanding the offerings of the store. The staff are knowledgeable about the nearby park, Capital Reef National Park, and can give suggestions for hiking trails, scenic drives and sights to see. My son and I had a wonderful time there. I would recommend giving it a try. I am going back next year!

Mesha W.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this place. The management was very friendly, and helpful. Good people I would love to see again. The room however was very very disappointing. My husband and I have 2 children, so we had to rent the family room, because only two people max are allowed to stay in a cabin. The family room is a room added onto the owners apartment. No air conditioning and you have to walk outside to the bathrooms to get any wifi signal. Everyone was miserable and hot. Even though we paid to stay the whole weekend, we ended up leaving two days early, and staying in a hotel.
