Absolutely Beautiful resort! The rooms are beautiful and they have added such detail to the rooms. Extremely comfortable bed, luxurious plush towels, clean bright and beautiful bathroom, great shower and lovely Aromatherapy, complementary shampoo and bath wash. The bonus was the beautiful balcony with Adirondack rocking chairs, I’m glad we selected a room with an ocean/pool view because we truly have enjoyed the balcony. Staff is delightful, hotel is pristine, and pool and beach are incredible!!! We also enjoyed the live music on the bar each evening. We will definitely be back. Such a cute town.

We just stayed at the Sand Pearl for 5 days. Top Notch all around. Resort was beautiful. The entire staff was welcoming. The location was great. Everything is walkable and within .4 miles. Highly recommend eating at Clear Sky Cafe breakfast right next door. The pool seating fills up before 8am. Get down there early.

The Sandpearl never disappoints. Beautiful hotel and the updated rooms are really nice. The suites come with a full kitchen which is great if you stay awhile. The location is perfect as it’s just off the busy area but close enough to walk to any number of restaurants and shops. We didn’t have any issues getting chairs at the pool and didn’t even go down until after lunch some days. I agree they shouldn’t charge for beach umbrellas since you already pay a resort fee, but overall, fantastic hotel.

This trip was amazing from the beginning to the end. My wife and I said on numerous occasions that this is a repeat destination. As soon as we walked into the resort, we were greeted with champagne and allowed an early check-in. The amenities and the service was outstanding. They made it feel like we were at home. The view from the balcony overlooking the pool and the golf was stunning. The room had everything you would need and more. I honestly can’t find one thing that I could complain about.. I can’t wait to come back someday.

Google
Stayed here for a quick weekend getaway. The good: rooms were very nice obviously recently redone. Great balcony with a great view. The breakfast restaurant was very good and service was great. Location is great with walking distance to good shops and restaurants. The not so good: Service at activity desk by pool and guys working the beach chairs not very good. IDK if they are new or no hospitality experience but a little rude to be honest. For $500 a night you would expect more service here. In short the facility is very nice, but service does not live up to it. Honestly Opal Sands in Clearwater is better Opal.

This is the fourth year that we have gone to the Sandpearl. I travel with my husband and special needs 30-year-old daughter. Sometimes going on a vacation is not much fun for me because we all stay in one room and our daughter is always on the move. We had booked a two queen room with a sleeper sofa and a bathroom with a tub. My daughter loves taking a bath. When we opened the door to our room, we discovered that we were upgraded to a two room suite with two large bathtubs. I was so pleasantly surprised and made my husband go to the front desk to make sure it wasn't a mistake. We were upgraded and it had made all the difference in my enjoyment of this vacation. A big thank you to those staff who made this a wonderful vacation experience for me. The Sandpearl is very quiet and family friendly which is very important to me. It is easy to walk around Clearwater Beach from this location. I loved that the marketplace Coffee shop was open every day at six. I was always the first one there.|We also had a lovely breakfast at Caretta on the Gulf one morning. My daughter and I also enjoyed pedicures at the Sand pearl Spa. We will continue to come here for our vacations. I highly recommend the Sandpearl.

Google
The view from our room's balcony was spectacular! All amenities were amazing — from the room itself with a full kitchen and beautiful bath to the luxurious pool and on-site restaurants. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place!

Google
We had a great 4 night stay over the July 4th weekend. The hotel is beautiful and the staff very attentive. My daughter loved the in-room robes. You also can’t beat the location and private beach. The pool is beautiful and never felt crowded. The food from Tate’s that we had each day poolside was excellent (recommend the burger and chicken club). We stayed at Opal Sands last year (sister resort), which was also great. But Sandpearl is a step above. We will be back!

Yelp
I accompanied my neighbor to Caretta's, one of the restaurant at Sandpearl resort for lunch as she was planning to have a small 15-person group party at the restaurant. We were seated outdoor to enjoy the prestige Gulf view. Although the service was slow but we were treated well. Food quality was superb not to mention the reasonable price for the location and view. After lunch, we met the catering coordinator, a nice young lady who took care the party arrangement. Two weeks later, we returned to Caretta's for the group lunch party. What my neighbor asked for was delivered and went beyond. Staffs were polite and fun to talk to. We were well taken care of. Each person ordered from a preset 3-course lunch menu. It was simple and delicious. I ordered grouper taco which I highly recommend for light eaters to try. Valet parking costs $ 25 with a Caretta's validated parking ticket. Overall, both of my visits were enjoyable. I will bring out of town guests here in the future for a simply joyful dining experience.

Yelp
My family and I have visited this Opal hotel twice now. Once in the spring and once in June. Both stays were excellent. The hotel is clean, staff is courteous and helpful, the pool is well taken care of and the beach beautiful. Every dining option is within walking distance, including the 5 star restaurant within the resort. Our suite included a well equipped kitchen and living room with a comfortable queen pull out couch. The king bed in the bedroom was like sleeping on a cloud and the large bathroom was perfect for a family of three. We will continue to stay at the Sandpearl any time that we visit Clearwater!

Yelp
I expected luxury and instead this place was unsafe, unsanitary, and wildly mismanaged. I am outlining every issue clearly and categorically: 1. Cleanliness & Housekeeping * Sheets were never changed the entire week. * The only toiletry provided was shampoo--no conditioner, lotion, body wash, or toothpaste. * The robe provided had visible stains. * Trash cabinet outside our room is broken and slams against my legs every time I open it. Despite repeated complaints, it was never fixed. It has severely bruised up my legs, and despite multiple complaints, it still hasn't been repaired. * Trash regularly piles up outside our room balcony , attracting bugs and the smell from the trash being left open all days smells horrible. There was a noticeable bug problem in and around the room. * Shared microwave offered as the only heating option was unsanitary for a property of this level. 2. Room Condition & Safety Hazards * The shower does not drain properly--I slipped and fell, and have had itchy, irritated feet ever since from standing water. * The hot tub had rocks inside, which caused me to rip off a toenail. * Alarm clock went off at 4 AM in my today here without reason. * Elevator doors close with force, posing a safety risk--especially to children. * Room phone never worked--I was left a handwritten note about it, but never received a solution. Without a working phone, I had no access to room service or emergency communication. * Sink in the bathroom is so tall my kids couldn't use it. * Fridge had no freezer compartment. * The outdoor movie system never worked, and there were no servers or food service available as advertised. No kid activities offered. 3. Resort Layout Flaws & Family Safety * Balconies are not private--they connect side-to-side, creating a safety concern for children and zero personal space. * There is no safe way to exit the property with a stroller--the only sidewalk ramp leads directly into the street without a proper buffer, which is terrifying with small kids. * Despite advertising beach access, this is not a private beach, just beachfront exposure. 4. Staff Conduct & Professionalism * I raised serious concerns and was offered a 9:07 PM in-room meeting with a male manager--instead of a daytime or professional office discussion. As a woman traveling with children, this felt inappropriate, unsafe, and coercive. That alone would have justified a refund. * I asked multiple times for a formal way to speak with general management--I am still waiting. * I was told "service unavailable" after sending a detailed written complaint. The lack of response was unacceptable. * A staff member even ran over my foot with a trash cart, and there was no incident report or follow-up. 5. Security & Grounds * The resort gate is often left open, allowing unauthorized individuals and even squatters to access the grounds. * Wristbands are not enforced, so people can walk freely around the resort without being guests. * Police were seen on site during our stay--no communication was provided as to why. * There is an exposed electrical panel located next to active sprinklers, which poses a serious fire or shock hazard, especially to children. Conclusion This property is not luxury--it is poorly maintained, dangerously designed, and operated with a disturbing lack of accountability. Management failed to offer meaningful solutions or even basic respect for guest safety. Travelers, especially families, deserve to know the truth about Sandpearl. This is not a resort--it's a liability.

Yelp
Generally speaking staying at the Sandpearl Resort was a great experience. The place feels new. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. If you get a room with a gulf view it is actually a wonderful view that you can enjoy on the private terrace. I did not use the pool, but it seems large enough for the people staying there. The beach experience is a little different from what I am used to. No, this isn't Miami. The sand is powder fine. The beach is very wide making service to the shore line impossible. Thus, is the huge gap between the Sandpearl chairs and the water a regulation or just practical? I don't know, and it really doesn't matter. Service is good on the beach. HOWEVER, when they say it takes about thirty minutes for them to make the rounds take that into account. The time between when you see someone no matter what the reason is going to be about that long for a full capacity layout. The food on the beach is excellent -- well, at least those grouper nuggets were. Wow! I want to have a fish and chips plate made with those! Anyway... Caretta on the Gulf was also a hit. So, if you just wanted to be lazy and stay 100% here that would actually work. With that said, the location seems to be great to just walk out and venture down the tourist town to explore as well. I wish they did a better job of explaining the logistics. Where are you supposed to get those wristbands before going to the beach? How do you reserve a chair ahead of time? Well, next time I can ask those questions via their text system but when you don't know what you don't know that doesn't work. Plus, the entire place feels just a little bit more pricey than the value received. It is not terrible, but it is certainly on the edge especially taking into account the valet fees.

Yelp
We had a nice stay. Clean and good service. I visited the spa for a massage and it was excellent! Beaches were pretty.

Yelp
Sandpearl Resort is a coastal dream come true! The sparkling Gulf views and soft beach light make every moment feel like magic, especially at sunset. Plus, the team is incredible--they make everything run so smoothly for both the couple and us vendors.

Yelp
Sandpearl Resort was a very great, family friendly resort. this resort had plenty of activities and aspects, they have an easter egg hunt, camp ridley (hangout for kids) how manny jellybeans contest, pool, and beach. the pool is very big and can get crowded but certain sections aren't as crowded, they have a big movie screen that plays at night with movies like zootopia and the lorax.the menu was very diverse with many different options for kids and adults. the location was great and they had many restaurants and shops right down the street including starbucks, dunkin, many pizza places and stores like cvs and surf style. overall i would 100% come back here.

Yelp
The Sandpearl is our family's favorite hotel anywhere. It's always a treat to spend time there. The staff is amazing. The facilities are well-kept and always clean (pool, pool bathroom, rooms, lobby, beach, etc.). There are usually daily activities for kids including toys for the beach and playing sports like soccer, football, and ping pong. Matt and the pool staff are the best. They have loads of pool floats. Other cool things - a table for runners near the lobby with drinks & routes, a very nice gym with 2 pelotons, and a Steinway playing piano in the lounge. There are also 3 places to eat at the hotel - a mini-Starbucks, a pool grill (Tate's), and a nice restaurant (Caretta's). It's also adjacent to great restaurants (Clear Sky and Frenchies). The place treated us very well during a hurricane evacuation by the county, refunding us our rooms when the county forced the evacuation. Always a treat to go to this place!

Yelp
This is the review of someone who doesn't go to beach resorts often. If you read my Disney Resort reviews, I'd consider myself a budding expert, but beaches I got nothing. So maybe a $42 valet charge is the norm, but that was surprising for a non beach goer like me. Read this review as someone who stays at the beach maybe once or twice a year and every other time it's at Longboat Key Resort (which actually is another Opal Resort). Location: Amazing. It's right on the beach and like five minutes to the pier. You're at the heart of Clearwater Beach. We walked to Frenchy's on the beach. You really can't beat this location. Price: It feels like they nickel and dime you. Valet is $42, no choice for self parking, and Beach Chairs are $30. The rooms aren't cheap and there is a resort fee so I'm surprised it isn't included. Food Options: Top notch. I loved my breakfast and dinner at Caretta's on the Gulf and we drank a couple pitchers from the pool bar. It's so nice to have good options on property. Pool: The pool is nice, however, it's hard to find chairs. They get taken quickly. We had to share a chair at one point because we couldn't find two together. I love that they have flags so you can raise yours when you want service. The servers are great, we had Elaine who is a real gem. She was personable and on it. If anyone at Sandpearl is reading this, give Elaine a raise. Room: The room was very nice. It had HUGE ceilings. Higher than even at my house. It made the room feel big. We had a balcony looking out the beach, which was nice to sit on. Atmosphere: The lobby and the rest of this hotel is beautiful. I love the self playing piano in the lobby. Miscellaneous: You can't have coolers at the pool or on their private beach. I understand the pool, but that's kind of annoying on the private beach. So you can walk a couple steps to be on the public beach and have a cooler, but if you want to rent the hotel's chairs you can't have the cooler.

Yelp
I can't say enough great things about this resort!! The service was exceptional, the rooms were nicely up to date. The beach is amazing!! A lot of shops & restaurant within walking distant. I will come back to this resort every year.

Yelp
Have been coming here 2-4 times a year for many years (we are locals). We won't be returning. With rainy day yesterday, we wanted to watch tv and a movie. TV service was out. When finally restored we still could not access tv guide or purchase a movie. A guy came up & said this problem was ongoing & helped me stream Netflix from my phone. After 10 min. we lost the connection & went to bed. Then a loud noise started from the wind & continued all night. Also, the coffee machine was notworking. I called to report & Russell said he would send up another machine. The a large coffee service arrived with $12.00 charge. I am the only coffee drinker in the room, so wasted most of pot. No ice in ice maker either. Even though the M remodeled suites are nice, for $2,000 per night we were disappointed with the problems. Guess we will be moving down to south beach next time.

Yelp
Dream vacation. Clean, recently redone rooms, lovely view, beach spots for days. I cannot express how lovely this trip was for my boyfriend and I. Great service, they made sure you were not without anything. Offered champagne and water at the door as soon as we walked in.

Maddie M.

Yelp
Staff was very friendly, and the beach and pool were nice, although a few things seemed out of order.

Yelp
If I could give them more stars I would. This place is amazing and so special for my husband and me. We try to go on special vacations. From the moment you walk in and check in until the moment you head back home and check out everyone everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and taken care of. Every morning they have fresh mimosas set up in the lobby of the resort. There is pool and beach service to order delicious drinks and food. If you have children, there are tons of activities Every day for them, including movies at the pool every night. We have stayed in their regular room and we have stayed in the one bedroom suite, both, beautiful, and the most comfortable bed. The one bedroom suite is awesome because it has a full kitchen dining area living room. Of course the bedroom and the bathroom has a washer and dryer. The only place we did not go to in the hotel was there nice restaurant called Carreta's on the beach but I have heard it is wonderful. Again, I could not recommend this place enough. If you were ever in Clearwater Beach it is a must go. It is very expensive, but if you sign up for their emails, they do specials for half price sometimes.

Yelp
We shared a suite with a friend for a wedding we attended. I would never ever be able to justify the cost by myself but was glad to go halvsies bc it was absolutely gorgeous! Parking was painless using the valet service, but not cheap. The grounds are beautiful. I didn't get a chance to go swimming but it looks like the pool has really nice chairs with awnings, never seen that before. There are also privste cabana areas for rent. It's right on the beach and across the street from entertainment, bars and food. The room had TWO balconies, one off of the master and one off of the living room. There was a full kitchen and dining area as well as washer and dryer in the bathroom closet. The bathroom was huge! Large tub and seperate shower stall, lots of floor space... probably the size of my kitchen at home lol. We requested a cot and it got delivered no problem. If you have the $$$ to stay here you can't go wrong.

Yelp
Enjoyed myself immensely at this resort! The views, service, and attention is all top-notch. Recommend Sandpearl for sure!

Laurie o.

Yelp
Staying at the Sandpearl now and it's very disappointing. We arrived at lunchtime and went to the beach restaurant ordered edamame, chicken wings and coconut shrimp. (All appetizers) the food took over an hour to come out and the shrimp was cold. Then we had a dinner reservation at 8PM which we couldn't make on time because we had no hot water ‍WTF Finally made it to dinner ordered dinner and it took over an hour for entrees which came out terrible. My husbands chicken was cooked to death and my fish was cold an undercooked. The restaurant manager thought it was funny apparently because he didn't say much and just laughed. So basically it's 11 O'clock PM and no edible food ? I just don't get it‍

Yelp
As soon as Florida reopened we made a bee line to Sandpearl Resort. We were so excited to return!! Our last visit was 5 years ago and it was as if time stood still when we arrived. Everything was clean, beautiful, and classy. The staff remains focused, friendly and helpful. So what is it like to vacation at Sandpearl during a pandemic? That answer is two fold. One is about Sandpearl. Upon arrival, the valet were wearing face masks, they paper your seats, take your luggage and open the resort doors. The last time I was there valet parking was complimentary if you were a guest, now they charge $25.00 (plus tip!). The moment you step through the doors social distancing floor markers are everywhere. At check in, they are wearing face masks. They give you a brand new pen to sign all of your paperwork and tell you to keep the pen for sanitary reasons. Your paperwork includes a short COVID19 survey that asks approximately 20 questions about you, if your symptomatic, etc. What I found remarkable was that the questionnaire targets the person checking in, not the rest of your group? They are not required to fill out this COVID19 survey. Why not??? Our room was beautiful!! We had a pool gulf view. Sitting on the balcony was relaxing and the sunset views were priceless. Just as we remembered it. We had two incidences that should have never happened to us. It was a problem that was overlooked twice in a row. The only reason why I'm not spelling it out is because management graciously fixed the problems beyond our satisfaction. This resort gets 5 Stars for their customer service. The second part of this review is about the people. The resort was doing their part but the guests seemed unaware that there's a pandemic going on. The elevator space was constantly full and uncomfortable. The pool area was extremely crowded. Every single chair was taken. The pool itself was full of people and children shoulder to shoulder. Drinks and food was being served by Tate Island Grill (emphasizing the handling of food & money). There was absolutely no social distancing in place and no face masks. The mindset was vacation mode. FYI The beach was just as crowded. Checking out was easy. But before we left we wanted a few drinks ToGo. Their little cafe use to be a Starbucks the last time we were there. Nope, its gone! We tried to order an orange juice, a frappe and a Keto friendly coffee. The service, communication and the drinks themselves were awful! TIP: go next door to get coffee and breakfast. Our overall experience was positive. We will definitely wait to return when there's no longer a contagious virus. If your going to travel during this pandemic you have to make the decision to be ok with the majority of people around not doing their part.

Yelp
We had lunch at the pool restaurant today. Service was outstanding from the very start. We had the Greek wrap and the grouper sandwich. I don't know which one was better. Fresh, delicious ingredients and amazing taste. Every detail was on point. Thank you for making this our new go to lunch spot on Clearwater Beach.

Yelp
Love this place, nicest resort in Clearwater Beach. Very clean throughout, great staff always friendly. Good location wishing walking distance to Pier 60 and restaurants and bars. Carretta restaurant in the hotel has great food with a phenomenal sunset view. The beach speaks for itself one of the nicest beaches in the world.

Yelp
Love love love this place! Its paradise! So relaxing and beautiful! The staff are all helpful and nice. The beach is literally right there. You can spend the day relaxing at the pool or go right to the beach just steps away.

Yelp
This resort was quite the let down in a lot of ways mostly the service. We stayed here for my husbands 40th birthday and we stayed in an oceanview room which was a nice room but nothing to write home about. We had screaming kids next door which was awful. I alerted the front desk and they laughed, apparently paying $500 a night for a room and hearing 3 kids screaming is okay. Poolside service was incredibly slow. It took over 30 min to get a drink or food. I understand they were busy but they definitely needed more help. When I would go to the bar to get my drink our server seemed upset but I said I don't want to wait 30 min for a glass of wine and have it come back to me warm. The service definitely needed help. People also reserved chairs first thing in the morning by putting all their crap on there so when other guests came to the pool you couldnt find a spot. I also didnt see any attendants checking the chairs to make sure if they were open or being used. It was pretty dirty. One day I rented us a cabana which was probably one of the worst cabanas experiences I've had. The cabana was filthy, there was food all over the floor and we didn't have our own server so again we had to chase down drinks and food all day. The fan in our cabana was broken as well. I would definitely skip this. Private beach with lounge chairs but umbrellas not included. This was a cheap move. Just include the umbrellas. We ate dinner at Caretta on the gulf and the food was great but once again the service was horrible. Our drinks took over 30 min to get and they were all watered down since they had been sitting at the bar. Our server had a huge attitude and it being my husbands 40th birthday it wasn't okay. The resort was beautiful but the service was lacking big time. For the amount of money you pay to stay there the service should be top notch.

Yelp
Great location and gorgeous resort. Pool area was spacious and clean. Access to the beach is easy and convenient. The beach is just perfect! The rooms are a little outdated and the hotel lobby and hallways were extremely cold but, overall this is a beautiful resort with great amenities and plenty of activities for the kids!

Micah L.

Yelp
The staff here are atrocious. Was constantly barraded with security insisting I didn't belong here, constantly asking for my name and room number, yet never checking any sort of database to "verify" we had a booking like they insisted they were doing. Just walking up with their smug attitude, saying "you don't look like you belong here" and then insisting that we go through the verification process... honestly ruined the whole experience.

Sarah S.

Yelp
Matt at the activities desk was so rude. We have bands for the beach and was asking where we could find towels. He denied giving us towels because we were not staying at the hotel. Matt was not helpful and did not exhibit polite customer service behavior.

Yelp
This is a very lovely place. When I got there, I was super hungry and had to jump onto a sales call. I grabbed some peanuts that were in room service. After a few bites, I realized they had expired 8 months ago. When the hotel texted to check up on me, I mentioned the food. They were so kind about it and sent me up some fruit and avocado, which was an AWESOME gesture! The hotel overall was really nice: - Check in was a breeze (and I needed it to be because my plane was delayed. I was in and out in a few moments and there were even welcome drinks that I didn't partake in) - The lobby is lovely - There are great food options at the marketplace downstairs, even for low carb options (olive / feta cheese - YUM!) - Turndown service is great and includes chocolates - the BEST PART! One night I told the maids I didn't need the service because I was going to bed early, but she still handed me the chocolates. ;) ;) ;) - The bed is sublimely comfortable - Room service is amazing - it's connected to the high-reviewed restaurant next door and was SUPER good and very fast. - The beach in the back is beautiful and they have lots of different games to play and things to do. I went here for a conference and asked the organizer if we could come back. It was a great experience!

Yelp
This is an amazing property! I have never enjoyed a resort property more. Amazing staff. Just a great place all around.

Yelp
The Sandpearl Resort is my favorite hotel! I've been coming here for years and have always had a 10/10 experience. From the complimentary champagne at check in to the poolside service, everything is amazing. I love that the pool is so close to the ocean, which isn't the case with most other hotels on Clearwater Beach. Tate's on the beach and Caretta's are both great restaurants. I love the location and being on this side of the beach, it's much less busy than the other side of the pier. Everything is still walking distance. Great for families with kids, couples, friends, etc! Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Myself and my daughter stayed here for three days and two nights in July as a mother/daughter vacation. It was spectacular! I want to specifically mention one of the managers, Lee, and one of the front desk associates, Lucy. They were both incredibly nice and accommodating. Thank you both for making our experience even better. All the staff, from valet, to resort, to spa, to eating spots, were wonderful! Everyone was so pleasant! I have only positive things to say. I highly recommend this location as a yearly vacation destination! I am now! The resort, the spa, the beach...all beautiful. While there and after you leave, you will feel relaxed and joyous!

Yelp
The service from the staff is exceptional which is hard to only give 3 stars but the amenities at a higher end resort frustrated us. The beach is private yet you still have to pay a minimum of $29 to reserve a chair on the beach.

Yelp
I can't add an actual video of the room. let's just say this For $544.00 a night - if you think a gulf view looks like this and that's what your willing to pay for- the sound of a pool waterfall below- Have at it.- Updated. The customer service is unparalleled. They have moved my room to the 6th floor. Five star service. All day, every day, I will pay for this type of customer service.

Yelp
TLDR: upscale beach resort experience. Great for families and couples alike. We had a great little getaway at this beautiful resort. We really enjoyed the warm welcome complete with champagne, a kids drink & even a sand pail for the kids! We used the valet rather than finding parking on the beach and this made arrival and checkout super simple and convenient. Our room was nice had a very classic look to it and beds were comfortable. The only draw back is our balcony room had a partial view of the beach and a partial view of the garbage area of the hotel. When you select beach view you really expect a bit more of a beach view. The pool was large with kind staff at the pool bar where we ordered dinner while the children continued to swim and play. The beach area has plenty of chairs and umbrellas or cabanas to rent. The morning buffet, though a bit pricey, was really full of variety and had a great calm upscale vibe. The omelette were delicious! It was a quick stay but one I would definitely return to again!

Yelp
First trip for my sister, her boyfriend and I to Clearwater, LF and out of our homes in 3 months in general... Could not be happier or pleased with the customer experience service we had, especially with Elaine and Dan, and the overall resort experience. Beautiful resort, attentive staff to ensure we had the best experience, even though we were during a pandemic. And wow - what a resort. Photos of the rooms, beach and pool areas, etc. don't do it justice! Highly recommend staying here!! Thank you, ELAINE, Cody, Dan, Jordan, Andrew, Price, Axel and Elaina for making our stay SO lovely!!

Yelp
Gorgeous setting with attention to detail and style. The majestic Gulf of Mexico welcomes you as soon as you enter. They give a nod to their prime beach location with their decor but it is very tastefully done. Greeters welcome you. Champagne at check in. Easy valet. Walk the beach in the morning. Sit by the resort style pool during the day with food and beverage service, dine at Caretta for dinner. You never have to leave! They checked on my welfare via text throughout the stay. I liked that. This is not a typical beach chain hotel, and I like that the best.

Yelp
Ok, but balcony is unusable. We specifically requested a balcony with a view. The view includes some beach but also a parking lot and construction site. It's so loud from construction, I can not even open the door to the balcony. They did say that for another $100 I could get a balcony that's not extremely loud. The room is average. A luggage rack would be a great addition though. There is a public beach adjacent, but it is pretty packed. Otherwise, hotel is fine.

Yelp
My family and I have been coming here for about 5 years now, staying at least twice a year and visiting the brunch and Tates various times a year. Yesterday on Father's Day we booked our rooms and experienced the following at Tates: My father did his first round to the bar to pick up some beers and the waiter Jordan kept claiming he didn't understand him, mind you my fathers English isn't prolific but it's very comprehensible, that was a tiny hiccup that seemed to brush off his shoulders but the second round to the bar, I decided to join him to ask for our drinks, Jordan walked past many times and looked at us , didn't acknowledge our waiting, served a group of men to my right, they checked out and a new group appeared and they where served before us as well. I made our appearance known and I politely tried grabbing Jordan's attention which was met with a condescending manner on his behalf. The whole encounter gave an essence of prejudice and the men to my right spoke up and told the manager "yes we got here well after them and already were served", not to mention Jordan decided to "cut us off" and not because we were inebriated but because it was too challenging on his ego to be called out on his predisposed opinions on people and their differences. Sandpearl has always been a classy place to go and it would be a shame to see it dwindle because of a bartender/waiter that just doesn't know how to be pleasant and is plainly just arrogant and intolerant.

Yelp
We had such a wonderful experience here! I had read so many wonderful things about the famous Opal Sands hotel at the beautiful Clearwater beach. So I had it on my list of places I want to visit for a while. We were ready to book for our anniversary in July but like a true Yelp Elite, I did my thorough research and decided that the nearby Opal property Sandpearl Resort is a better fit for our family. 1) They actually have a private beach and offer beach chairs. At Opal Sands you have to fight with the general public for a spot on the beach as it is a public beach with an outside company renting chairs to everyone. 2) I read it was more kid-friendly and we were traveling with our toddler 3) I read it has a bigger pool. I was so glad about his decision. The hotel was so classy and beautiful. Upon arrival, they served us complimentary mimosas and beach buckets for the kids. There were plenty of fun activities for kids such as balloon art and a mega bubbles event as well as a movie under the stars every night and s'mores by the fire. We had breakfast included in our room rate. The breakfast buffet was amazing and staff was friendly.

Yelp
Went there as a last minute check-in so kids could be on beach. Staff was excellent and service at pool was great....will return gladly.

Yelp
This is a wonderful hotel very neat very clean very pristine. The staff is really great everybody's been super friendly. I would say the most aggravating thing though if you're in your room is the constant maid service. However part of that's my fault because I didn't realize that on the mail sign that if you flipped it it said privacy please. I should've had this hanging outside the door so that's my fault. However The positive part of the maid services that they are very attentive to your room and have a wonderful turn down service. Also if you need extra towels or condiments for the coffee they're always there willing to help. The rooms are beautiful well-maintained. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel. They have wonderful restaurants a great little coffee area that has tasty pastries.

Yelp
Resort itself is....nice, but not what you would expect for $750/night. We booked a "gulf front" room and you can see the view from the image above. This would classify more as a pool-front room with a distant gulf view, partially blocked by the side of the resort. Room was dated, smart tv functions were not working. Service at the restaurants was extremely slow. Umbrellas on the beach were a $30/day fee--in addition to the $35/day resort fee.

Yelp
Last month my best friend and I stayed at the Sandpearl for the first time, and let me tell you it was well worth the money! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the candles they have in the lobby smell SO amazing, and everything is super clean! We had a very stressful travel day coming into Tampa, and when we walked into the lobby our stress immediately melted away. The woman at the front desk was amazing and upgraded us to a suite for no reason at all! Then we met Valentina who offered us champagne/mimosas after checking in. My entire stay was MADE by Valentina. I can't stress how absolutely lovely and wonderful and kind she is! She is the reason why I'm writing this review. As she gave us our mimosas she told us everything about the hotel. She told us about everything the Sandpearl has going on, events, bike rentals, etc. but most importantly she told us about the van service the Sandpearl has where you can call them for free rides around Clearwater Beach! We took advantage of the free rides and saved SO much money on Ubers back and forth to the pier! We really appreciated that the hotel offered that service, and honestly it kind of balanced out how expensive the hotel is I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel with a nicer staff. Everybody was seriously so nice, we felt like they were our friends and stopped to talk to them on our way in and out every day! Valentina, Lydia and Cameron were our favorites !!! They were some of the nicest people I've ever met and they all deserve raises! Our stay would not have been as memorable or amazing without them! I had such a pleasant experience at the Sandpearl and will definitely be returning to see my girl Valentina! Valentina we love you!!!

Yelp
The Opal Sand Resort offers stunning oceanfront views, free bottled water and convenience of a beach on the property as well as a pool and semi private balcony's. Recently, upon arrival at this establishment, I suffered a fall up the escalator. Carrying my things up the escalator, it was moving so fast, I could barely get myself and things on before I realized I'd fell and was now being carried along by the escalator. The concierge on duty managed to stop the escalator and I was assisted getting up and off by a kind guest. However, I was then offered a bottle of water and a coconut, instead of paperwork for an accident report. When I inquired further, and for first aid resources, all they had on hand was an anti-itch packet, as the hotel store was closed. After spending a hefty amount on this stay, plus paying for parking at 40 dollars a night, I would say, the least I could have been given was proper first aid. My body sustained several scratches, bruises and back pain, yet, nothing was ever offered to support my injury. I love this hotel and it's amenities, though I should not have to pay for a beach chair after all the resort fees paid. I also find it most difficult to believe that I was not told there was an elevator available for my use, or provided with better first aid care.

Yelp
The massage and spa room were fine, average at best. My sunglasses were stolen and the staff and manager did nothing to help. Terrible experience.

Yelp
4 star service, 2 star facilities. The staff here are generally very friendly and willing to go above and beyond. But the facilities are starting to show their age, and lots of random stuff doesn't work or is obviously cracked/broken/worn. Many of landscape lights around the pool are broken, for instance. The hotel also allows guests with non-service dogs, even though their guest book says otherwise. So keep that in mind if you don't want to accidentally encounter a dog in the hallway.

Yelp
We are in the middle of a stay at the Sandpearl and I just have to take a moment to rave about how fantastic it is. Everything is top notch and the staff really go out of their way to ensure an amazing experience. We were here for our honeymoon and returned this year for our 5th anniversary. The front desk staff left us chocolate covered strawberries which was a very nice touch. The view of the sunset from our balcony was unbeatable and we loved being able to hear the live music from Tate's while we enjoyed the view from our room. We were upgraded to a Gulf Front Junior Suite and the room was absolutely beautiful. The beach is a wonderful white sand. Chairs are free, but you do need to pay to rent umbrellas. However, it's worth it because then your spot is saved all day and you can come and go as you please! The hotel is in easy walking distance of great restaurants, Pier 60, and a CVS. Highly recommend!! Already looking forward to our return for our 10th Anniversary :) We cannot thank the hotel and staff enough for such a great trip.
