Sands Suites Resort & Spa

Sands has continued to extend its boundaries of excellence - we shall be sad to say goodbye to this secret tranquil paradise. The staff could not be more gracious and helpful, the views and sunsets are stunning, the food outstanding. The live Indian music in the restaurant on the themed evening was appreciated, as was the saxophone jazz group. We have loved the surprise touches: a scented cold facecloth while lazing by the pool, a sample massage - of course we then booked and it exceeded expectations! We’ve enjoyed snorkelling, pedalo-ing, the excellent water aerobics classes- other activities on offer but we have been super lazy! A big thank you to all the staff for making this such a memorable holiday!

Lovely Stay Near Flic-en-Flac — Almost Perfect! We stayed for almost one week near Flic-en-Flac and had a really lovely experience overall. The hotel itself is beautiful, and we truly felt at home — the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. We had half board, and the dinner buffet was consistently excellent every evening. We also booked a tour to Chamarel through the hotel and had a fantastic guide and driver. For Port Louis, we decided to drive ourselves, which turned out to be the most flexible option. The swimming pool and relaxation areas were perfect for unwinding, and lunches at the restaurant were very good. There is also great snorkeling nearby; we simply booked and joined the boat, which was very easy. A few areas could be improved: breakfast felt a bit underwhelming compared to the outstanding dinners — the quality of juices and breads could be higher, and we would have appreciated a few more local options. We also noticed a considerable number of small bugs in our room, despite the twice-daily cleaning service. Overall, we would still rate this as a strong 5-star stay with room for some improvements. We enjoyed our time and would return.

We stayed at Sands Suites in Mauritius for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely incredible. The resort is in the perfect location — the views are unreal, the beach is stunning, and there were always plenty of lounge chairs available. The towel service was super convenient, and the pool area was gorgeous! We did have an issue with our first room the first night and weren’t happy with it, but the way the staff handled it made all the difference. The manager, Sonny (Sunny) personally met with us, apologized, and upgraded us to a beautiful new room. He even arranged a private romantic dinner on the beach as a gesture, which was such a special touch and truly made us feel valued. Our new room was spacious, quiet, and had the most beautiful views — plus, it was decorated for our honeymoon, which made it extra special. The food throughout our stay was great (and I’m super picky!). The breakfast buffet was my favorite, and I loved how they changed the dinner theme each night. We also really enjoyed meals at Pink Peppercorn and Dolphin Bar. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, accommodating, and always willing to help. I even got a massage at their sister property, Maradiva, and it was heavenly! Overall, once our room was switched, our experience was pure perfection. We would absolutely stay here again — next time, we’ll just try a different room category from the start.

We stayed at Sands Suites Resort & Spa for four nights and had a wonderful overall experience. Upon arrival, we were kindly upgraded to villas at the neighboring Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa, which we assume belongs to the same group. Since our booking included half board, we returned to Sands Suites for both breakfast and dinner, so we cannot comment on the rooms at Sands itself. That said, based on the overall atmosphere, the beautiful surroundings, and the high level of service, we believe the rooms at Sands Suites are equally lovely. The resort grounds are absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush greenery and a very peaceful atmosphere. The staff were extremely polite, warm, and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Both breakfast and dinner were served buffet-style and exceeded our expectations. There was a wide variety of options to choose from, and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. We would definitely visit Sands Suites Resort & Spa again and highly recommend it without any hesitation. It was a truly enjoyable experience!!!

I enjoyed my stay at the Sands Suites and have plans to return! It's very obvious the hotel is guest-centric and is motivated to provide people with the best experience they can provide. I stayed in mid Oct and the weather was great. It is as beautiful as pictured. It's a large hotel but still has a cozy feel. There are multiple activities to keep you busy throughout the day and/or opportunities to chill. My stay overlapped with Diwali and there were some nice Diwali activities to enjoy. Breakfast and dinner buffets were wonderful...breakfast options are generally the same however dinner rotated between a variety of cuisines (seafood, Italian, Mediterranean, Mauritius, etc). The included amenities are wonderful. I enjoyed the sauna+hammam, snorkeling, waterskiing, fitness walks to Tamarind, personal training sessions...all included in the stay. Cocktails and drinks were reasonably priced. Lunch options less reasonably priced but still within acceptable prices considering the overall vibe. There was also nice live entertainment on selected days. No children, I enjoyed that too. Many thanks to Sunny, Sheila, entertainment staff, servers, all front desk associates and managers (apologies for forgetting names to acknowledge people properly). Everyone was helpful and pleasant...wonderful people who contributed to a wonderful stay.

Loved everything about this place. Beautiful setting, high-quality rooms, delicious food and excellent service- couldn't fault it. The highlight for me was the yoga classes with Dijin- an incredible Indian practitioner who is employed by the resort. I also booked for 1-on-1 meditation, breathwork and yoga therapy with him and he did the best massage I've ever had! Don't hesitate to go to one of his yoga classes or book him in if you can.

This was the best hotel we have experienced in our lives! The service was impeccable, we loved the scenery, hotel itself, leisure activities and the snorkeling in particular. Big thanks to Haidar, Sandy, Hitesh, Putu, Bhashna, Hans, Vinay, Selven, Lilesh, Francessa, and the whole team who made our time unforgettable! We will definable come back! Thank you! :)

We had a fantastic stay over 11 days. The hotel is amazing and every picture on the website is even better irl. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful, from arrival staff, to cleaners, to bar and waiter staff. Everyone is doing their outmost best to make sure that your stay is as fantastic as possible. The bars and the restaurants are serving great good food and drinks, and we actually decided quite fast to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel every day instead of going out. We really appreciated the atmosphere without loud guests, shorts and flip flops in the restaurants and even if there was some nice entertainment in the evening it was never disturbing. It is also not an enormous resort but a good size resort with a familiar atmosphere where every guest feels welcome and seen. I would really recommend making a reservation for a romantic candlelight dinner with a dedicated butler & an exclusive set up close to the beach, a real great experience. When (not if) we go to Mauritius again we will stay in Sands Suits Resort & Spa again.
