Sands Theatre

Marina Bay Sands Theatre is an impressive venue that truly feels befitting of large-scale international productions. From the moment you step in, everything feels polished and well organised, with clear signage, helpful ushers and a comfortable, modern interior. The theatre itself is spacious, with good acoustics and sightlines that allow you to feel immersed in the performance. Seating is pretty comfortable even for a long show although i felt a little strain on the neck due to the seat height. The sound quality ensures vocals and music come through clearly without being overwhelming. It’s a venue that elevates the overall theatre-going experience and makes a night out feel special. We went for the Grand Circle B Reserve seat and it was a really decent view with a price tag that won’t break your wallet. Watching Disney’s Beauty and the Beast here was an absolute delight. The production is visually stunning, with elaborate sets, beautiful costumes and magical transitions that bring the classic story to life. The cast delivers strong performances, especially during iconic numbers like “Be Our Guest” and “Beauty and the Beast,” which are both entertaining and emotionally resonant. The orchestra complements the show seamlessly, adding depth and grandeur to every scene. There’s a strong sense of nostalgia throughout, making it enjoyable not just for families and Disney fans, but also for adults who grew up with the story.

Beauty & the Beast is a good musical, however I feel that the “Be our Guest” segment could be better if they impress with props & set pieces instead of performers. First half would be better if it ended with “Be our Guest” too as it has a better impact. The “Beauty & the Beast” dance segment could also have been more impressive, eg more grand.

Love the location that right in the mall. The theater has great standard for musicals and concerts. More rest rooms would be great as the line is too long for 15- minute intermission. Staff members were so welcoming and helpful. I hope the theatre has an announcement to remind people about musical etiquettes like refrain from talking and using smartphone.

We had such an incredible time at the Sands Theatre! The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. We were a little worried about our seats since we were in the balcony, but the view was perfect—you could see and hear everything so clearly. The show was amazing, but the whole experience, from the beautiful lobby to the comfortable seating, made it a truly memorable night out. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Great management of the entry queue and checking of bags. Photo booths very organised with staff around to help with photo taking. Comfortable sitting inside, but do take note there is no cup holder on seat armrest. Able to request for booster seat for the young ones. Sound is great with surround sound system, and the set is so deep for different props for the dramatic scenes.

I came here for my first international musical theatre experience: Beauty and the Beast✨ I literally couldn’t believe my eyes from the very first scene. The sets, the cast, the music, the dances — everything flowed so beautifully. In my opinion, Sands Theatre is more than capable and truly deserving of being an international-standard theater. It’s easily accessible, the crew and ushers are very helpful and friendly, the venue is excellent and well-equipped, and the stage is impressive.

A special night to remember when my wife surprised us with VIP seats for all of us to watch Cirque Alice! The last time my wife and I watched the circus was back in 2002 Alegria Cirque du Soleil and with our eldest in 2015 in Macau, City of Dreams, House of Dancing Water. A truly magnificent reimagined Alice in Wonderland Circus which impressed the whole family! Seating on stage close to the performance, the Madhatter kept pinching our popcorn and crept up behind my seat to scare me while my two boys kept quiet.

I recently visited this theatre for a film screening, and overall the experience wasn’t very comfortable. The seats are extremely close together, super close, and the armrests are tiny, seats are tiny, making the space feel cramped even when the venue isn’t full. I am not even tall or big so it makes me wonder about those that are bigger built. In comparison to regular film theatres, this setup felt significantly worse in terms of comfort. I’m guessing it’s because the venue is primarily designed for stage performances rather than movies, but even with that in mind, it still wasn’t a great seating experience. Not the best theatre I’ve been to for sure.
