Sandton Sun & Towers

San Deck is a really nice rooftop spot at Sandton Sun. It has a classy, relaxed vibe and feels very upmarket without being too loud or chaotic. The views are great, especially in the evening, and it’s a perfect place to unwind after work or meet people for drinks. The cocktails are well made and the service is good, although it is on the expensive side. The crowd is mostly professionals and tourists, so it feels mature and comfortable rather than party-heavy. Food options are more on the light side, but they’re decent. Overall, it’s a great place if you’re looking for a chilled, premium experience, not somewhere you’d go every week, but definitely worth it for a special night or a business catch-up

Clean, very well located, friendly staff. We enjoyed drinks at the bar after dinner. We enjoyed nice restaurants at the mall. Then we had drinks in afternoon on the roof deck near the pool. The room was cleans and comfortable. The beds and linens and towels were soft and the bathroom decently sized.

Room service breakfast was 12/10. Absolutely one of the best I have ever had. Asked for it to be brought at 5AM and they did exactly that. I am definitely making this hotel my second home🫶🏿 the seafood was plentiful just how I love it. I’m

I have stayed in this hotel for many years now, back to when it was Intercontinental. I do miss the service standards of the Intercon, something I feel has gone down since now being another chain but I still can’t complain about the service. The new refurb in the towers is great and the rooms look and feel fantastic. Comfortable beds, great showers and a million miles from the rooms at the adjoining Sun where I stayed when the towers were being refurbed. Thankfully a few TV stations now showing now as the internet is and always has been appalling so don’t expect to stream Netflix etc. Breakfast is varied. One morning there was the hot buffet and the next there wasn’t however decent and a good feed. Friendly and courteous service so no complaints there. Location is great for the Convention centre and a walk across to the mall and square. I find the bar in both hotels quite expensive when compared to local offerings. Double the price of a glass of wine when you could go and sit on the square and watch the world go by. Overall of course I will keep coming back as it is without doubt one of the better hotels in Sandton and make sure you stay at the towers and not the sun for the refurbed rooms.

I had the pleasure of staying at Sandton Towers while attending the G20 Youth Entrepreneurship Summit, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I checked in, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. Special thanks to Ishmael, Onka, and Lebo, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. Their friendliness and genuine care really stood out, and it made all the difference during a very busy week. I stayed on the club floor, which offered a premium experience throughout. The breakfast service was excellent—well-prepared, fresh, and served with such attention to detail. The staff in the dining area were unfailingly friendly and welcoming, setting a positive tone each morning. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well-appointed, providing a perfect balance of comfort and functionality. After long days at the summit, it was wonderful to return to such a relaxing and quiet space. Overall, Sandton Towers exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Johannesburg, whether for business or leisure. Thanks again to Ishmael, Onka, and Lebo for their outstanding service—you truly made my stay special!

Always have an amazing stay here. We stayed at The Towers this time and were very impressed with our room. The shower is amazing and the bed and bed linen were awesome. The staff are brilliant.

We stayed here for one night ahead of us going on a safari. The stay was 10/10. All the staff we encountered were excellent from the door staff, reception and the bar. ||We mentioned we had just got married and it was the start of our honeymoon and they left a very nice surprise in our room! Which was most appreciated. We were sad we didn’t get to stay longer to enjoy the hotel & facilities more. ||Would definitely return and recommend for a stay in Sandton / Joburg.
