Really tasty donuts. We weren't sure if the Homer frosting would be flavored but it was just plain. They are obviously very popular so by 10:30 on a Friday morning there were limited options.

Google
The staff was friendly and engaging. Lemon poppyseed old fashioned donut was delicious! The seasonal iced blackberry white mocha had great flavor. Our family will stop in again whenever we're in Fargo!

Google
A place revisit for best donuts. Nom dairy/vegan and gluten free options available. Edit: No gluten free options available yet

Google
I asked them if they could help a few kids who weren't included at school's "donuts with dads day" but they wouldn't. It was only about 2 dozen needed and I didn't have the money at the time. The school not only made the kids feel excluded by leaving them in the classrooms alone, but they wouldn't even just let them have a donut. Not having a father was like some sort of punishment. So I thought Sandy's may show a little compassion and treat these few kids. I was shocked to learn they didn't care one bit. As much as I love their donuts, I won't shop with them anymore. It really shows their character. This would have been a very simple way to support the children.

Do they have good donuts?? ABSOLUTELY!! You have to get there early because they sell out fast. I was lucky even to get a few for their last donuts of the day and they were amazing. Will we go back? Absolutely.

Google
Must stop place downtown. Super friendly staff, great donuts with a big selection. You'll see people all over carrying boxes of these donuts. Tried a few different flavors and the cronut was my favorite. Everything we tried was delicious. I would also say the peanut butter Bismark was also worth trying. The only thing to watch out for is the bees know about this place and will be on your donut within a couple of minutes if you go to eat outside.

Omg the caramel rolls here are some of the best I've had! Fresh and oh so good. This donut shop is small, comfortable and friendly. They have lots of donuts to choose from. It's definitely worth a visit. My friend bought an apple filled donut which is shown in the other photo.

Google
Downtown make this a treat. Good coffee good quiet space to enjoy. Get there by 10am if you want your donut or Carmel roll ( maybe by 8 a.m.) crave satified. They close just after lunch hour and sometimes nothing left to buy. You can call ahead, pay and pickup or have delivered

Yelp
SUCH a variety! surely there's something for everyone. We LOVED the mixed berry bavarian, but all of them were delicious

Yelp
7am Sunday morning stopped by to get a couple doughnuts and a coffee. Coffee was hot and good. Doughnuts were cold and hours if not day old. Understand they don't make doughnuts at that location. For what they charge for their product you would think they could have better quality.

Yelp
Fantastic. Fresh. Tasty. Amazing. It's been a long time since I've had such good donuts. Take that back. Maybe the first time it's been on this level. Even donuts I'd usually not like, I loved. We had the homer (x2) and a Bavarian. Outstanding. I loved the ambiance of this spot. The employees were friendly and cheery. Exactly what we needed to kick off the day!

Yelp
Their coffee and donuts are great! The white mocha wasn't too too sweet but not too bitter like a strong coffee, and their donuts are yeast donuts. This means that they're pillowy and fried! Their bismarck donuts are stuffed with filling, but the one rolled in sugar was my favorite. The mochi donuts were stretchy and so nicely sweet. I would order everything I got again the next time I'm in fargo. Maybe even grab a dozen on my way out.

Yelp
Best donut selection I have ever seen, and fun coffee drinks too. Rhubarb fritter was awesome. Totally worth the small detour to cute downtown Fargo.
google avatar

Yelp
Best donuts in the entire world. I am very sad I no longer live in the Fargo area. I would (almost) brave 6 months of winter for a chance to be a bit closer to those blueberry glazed, apple fritters and buttermilk cake yummies!

Yelp
I LOVE Sandy's! It's a tradition to grab a box of dozen whenever I'm visiting someone in the area. You can't get a better "basic" donut. They just know how to make raised donuts RIGHT! I also love the variety. They're always cooking up something crazy like a unicorn donut or a s'mores long john. There's always something for everyone - your dad that thinks simple is better, your kids that want something colorful, your foodie friend that likes weird combinations, and you who likes fruity things! The coffee drinks are good for what they are - sugary concoctions (as if the donuts weren't enough!). The coffee flavor is still present and the sweetness isn't overwhelming. It makes for a nice treat :) Although I will say their coffee drinks take longer than expected to make, BUT I give them a pass since they're not a coffee shop. Why are you still reading this review? Go to Sandy's already!!
google avatar

Yelp
Good service. Limited selection by 11:00, which could indicate how busy they are. Comfortable seating to sit and read my messages while enjoying my treat. Wish the bathroom wasn't down the hall.

Yelp
I always love stopping by Sandy's in Fargo! Their quality of donuts are amazing and the staff are very helpful if you're overwhelmed with the selection of donuts. Highly recommend stopping by when you're in Fargo!

Yelp
While exploring Fargo, ND we stumbled upon this gem. When we walked in the smell of fresh donuts was so inviting and the customers and employees were very friendly. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. Apparently everyone in town knew about this place except us! While we waited in line I noticed the stacks of labeled boxes and individuals coming in and picking them up. It appears that you can order and pay ahead of time, then just run in and grab your labeled box that has been prepared for you. A great service if you know what you'd like. Once we got to the counter and it was our turn to order, I won't lie, I was a bit overwhelmed with all of the choices! Thankfully, the employee waiting on me was patient. We ordered several different donuts and none of them disappointed! I recommend the old fashioned (sour cream) donut, but I am partial to them. My partner loves cake donuts and said these were among the best she's had! When in the Fargo, be sure to visit Sandy's and get your donut fix

Deb B.

Yelp
Service with a smile! Donuts excellent!!! Had the donuts at the Marathon! Grandkids loved them !

Yelp
WOW! This place is amazing if you love different types of donuts. Really enjoyed every bite of every doughnut.

Yelp
They have a huge selection of of amazing looking and tasting donuts. I stop here every chance I get, which isn't often since I live out of state. Very efficient in their service but also patient if you have to think about what to order.

Yelp
Incredible Blueberry Donut ! I'm so glad that I stopped by before leaving Fargo, I just wish I had been able to enjoy it more! I stayed a night there and on my way out of town before an 11 hour drive I grabbed a donut from Sandy's and it was a great treat for myself. The staff was also very kind! If I'm ever back in the area, I will definitely be stopping by.

Jill U.

Yelp
Great vibe. Friendly service. And fabulous donuts right in the heart of Fargo's downtown. What are you waiting for? Go!

Yelp
Visiting my sister in Fargo for Thanksgiving... She took us here and it was so much fun! They had over 30 flavors (safe estimate). A unique flavored doughnut for any taste, young and old. We got a maple bacon (our first choice), an apple cluster (second choice), and an espresso Bismarck (third choice). They were all very tasty!

Yelp
Sandy's Donuts offers coffee & doughnuts at reasonable prices, which is a remarkable thing considering its location that is adjacent to the very popular Fargo Theatre in downtown Fargo. Sandy's offers decent seating indoors, which I found to be somewhat cozy to relax and eat during brutal winter weather (I arrived when it was a balmy -18 degrees Fahrenheit). The employees here are pretty chill (no pun intended). Polite, welcoming, and accommodating when it came to suggesting a variety of coffee blends and sizes that were comparable to anything that Starbucks or Caribou would offer. And the doughnuts? As fresh and easy tasting as squeezed orange juice on a Sunday morning. The folks from Dunkin really need to take notice due to the variety and size of the type of pastries served- Boston creme, eclairs, coffee rolls, apple fritters. Its all there. Sadly, I don't know if there are gluten free options. But really, did you come here to eat a doughnut with no taste yet had 250 calories, versus one that has taste and with 350 instead? That's up to you. Get your frozen butts down here for a treat. Sandy's Donuts on Broadway. Come get some!

Yelp
Best in town. A little on the pricy side but worth every penny. You will not be disappointed.

Rachel G.

Yelp
OOOOOOoooooh. The location downtown is a fun place to take the littles and their grannies/grampies. Easy to get to. A couple of tables outside. Lots of delicious choices. The one stuffed with peanut butter fluff is a must try!

Yelp
When you guys were close down for a little time oh my God every time I go but all I could think about was your delicious donuts truly an amazing thing that you have in place for all of us blessed enough to be living in the Fargo Moorhead area absolutely love the downtown locations ease of access your delicious food

Yelp
Recently voted North Dakota's best Donut by MSN, an accolade of questionable relevance considering a significant amount of experience with other such awardees in several States, it was on the way out of town that a stop was made at Sandy's Donuts & Coffee Shop, a pre-order requested some 48-hours in advance found ready to go for just over $2 per item inclusive of tax and tip. Located at 300 Broadway and with the original location in West Fargo, a van additionally making deliveries as far out as Grand Forks, it was easily finding parking in an area riddled with construction that the shop was entered, a pair of vagrants outside asking for Food apparently not uncommon per a local talking with her spouse though they certainly were not obtrusive. Open since 2014 Downtown, the flagship actually serving guests Fried Dough since 1983, it was sitting down inside comfortable confines that boxes were unwrapped and photographs taken while sampling, first bites of a Longjohn topped in Fluff, Graham Crackers and Chocolate impressing by way of its fluffiness plus a good bit of Sweetness and Yeast in the base. Offering over eighty daily varieties, everything from Raised to Cake and Filled to Fritter included, it was next that a heavily glazed Cinnamon Roll proved a touch *too* sweet before moving on to mellow Milk Chocolate Frosting, the follow-up "Apple Cluster" a Fritter by any other name and absolutely textbook in the West Coast tradition of a crispy exterior and plenty of Fruit in the middle. Mostly impressed by a Sour Cream Old Fashioned, the tanginess accounted for but Glaze added a bit too late to penetrate, it was with far greater success than the fried Roll that a Cinnamon Pretzel Donut conveyed its flavor, the Vanilla Cake tasted next showing excellent texture as did the Cocoa-laden version served beneath Coconut Pecan Frosting later. Saving several halves or more for the drive to Winnipeg, a yeasted base liberally topped in pulverized Butterfinger probably best eaten over a plate as it is as messy as it is delicious, it was again with German Chocolate Frosting that another raised Ring was found, the first of two filled creations to follow doubling down or Oreo Cookies both on top and blended into the airy Cream inside. Having to this point held off on a personal favorite, the Blueberry Cake thankfully living up to expectations thanks to natural flavors and a melt-in-the-mouth texture, it was finally with Sandy's famous "Angel Iced Bismark" that tasting concluded, the pocket said to be almost weightless by many in reality probably just over an ounce of the same great yeasty Dough sheltering sweet Cream with the lightness of Meringue.

Yelp
I had the Cookie Minster donut. Easiest 5 star I have given out. Cool atmosphere. And very friendly staff

Yelp
Here they serve your classic, puffy, sugary doughnuts. Reasonably priced, and great for taking a dozen to go if you want to be everyone's favorite person at work, but not a ton of seating inside at the downtown location. For the vegans: on Mondays they always have vegan options for several flavors. Personally, I'm partial to the jelly-filled ones. Would give them five stars for vegan options on more days and slightly better coffee!

Jess R.

Yelp
I think about doughnuts every single day. I once went gluten free for 120 days (worst days of my life) and the first thing I ate was 3 doughnuts when I could eat gluten again. I do not take my doughnut hobby lightly. I am a travel RN and heard about Sandy's before getting to try them. I have only tried the ones in the hospital so far so it has been a limited selection but they have been EXCELLENT. Recently told my sister "I would rather have no doughnut than a chocolate covered doughnut" BUT I saw the chocolate covered and it did not strike me as a normal run of the mill chocolate donut. It was so fantastic that I might have to get it again when I finally make it to the actual location!

Yelp
If you ever find yourself in Fargo, which you should. You must go to a Sandy's. It was my first stop on my first morning visiting Fargo for the Fargo Marathon. Carb loading FTW! Anywho, Sandy, whoever she is, makes the best donuts I've had in a looooong time. I brought some back to the Airbnb for my travel buds & they were stoked. And then we were all stoked to see mountains of these Devine treats at the end of race! These donuts are big & fluffy. Plus they are FRESH. Ahem, Dunkin who?
google avatar

Bethany L.

Yelp
I love this place! Their donuts are soooo good! Especially their Maple Bacon Long Johns... Wonderful atmosphere and the employees are very friendly. Good people people, if you know what I mean. They work well with their customers and are able to get through long lines quickly. Amazing donut shop!

Yelp
Cute little donut shop in the heart of downtown Fargo. The place has a urban rustic vibe to it with exposed brick, open duct work, farmhouse tables and colorful mixed matched marquee letters. It was certainly bumpin' on a Saturday morning, but the line moved very swiftly. Lots of fun offerings from bacon this, maple that, Almond Joy, Key Lime, S'mores, even vegan donuts. Yeah baby! There's classic such as twists and glazed of course, and a ton of cute ones for the kiddos from Cookie Monster to "worms" in dirt. My kiddos flipped for these! The round delights are light and fluffy, full of flavor and priced competitively. They can be ordered in advance in variety boxes geared towards satisfying kids and office parties alike. Their coffee is pretty darn good too! They also offer salads, panini, and sammies. A free donut is given with any lunch purchase. Good stop if you find yourself in the middle of Fargo which was surprisingly cute!! Nice place to take a load off for a few or get your day started.

Yelp
Purchased 2 donuts and they were delicious. The staff was friendly and courteous. When I arrived, there weren't a large selection of donuts to choose from.

Yelp
It would be rare for me to meet a donut shop I didn't like. I mean, they're donuts! The downtown Sandy's is a nice alternative for those of us who do not live or work in the vicinity of their original West Fargo location. Location aside, this Sandy's is a very nice looking place. A very classy donut shop. It doesn't have as much seating as the West Fargo location, but for this downtown real estate, it has plenty of space. Nice decor, nice furniture. And of course the donuts. I thought the options might be a lot more limited at this shop but I was wrong. They still have so many choices that it is difficult to decide. I did not pay any attention on this visit to other food and drink options. I recall several beverage coolers to the left when I was in line, but I couldn't tell you much about them. Great job Sandy's Donuts!
google avatar

Kylie J.

Yelp
As a first timer, I was lost. Were they closing was it a restaurant ? was I walking into a police officers meetings, there was a lot of cops there. The donuts were delish but the service was so so. I felt so out of place like I was walking in a private residence. I didn't get a hi or anything, just counter gals talking to the locals I assume that we're done with their meals just sitting down eating. I don't like to be Ignored especially when I have donut money to spend! Bad Sandy's donuts!
google avatar

Chet A.

Yelp
At $18/dz for cake doughnuts I assumed that they would be the best cake doughnuts I've ever had. This is not the case. Won't be back. This is the perfect Fargo boutique doughnut. Cost too much money, looks pretty, but the quality will let you down.
google avatar

Myla X.

Yelp
If you are in the FM area and want an American donut, this is the place. Good selection every day, interesting special donuts always available. They deliver to the area too, great for treating friend or coworkers.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Great spot especially in summer months on Saturday mornings. Coffee is superb really love having this location downtown. We will definitely visit regularly
google avatar

Sandra T.

Yelp
A really tasty chocolate glazed doughnut, made even tastier because my nephew bought it for me. There were lots of flavors to choose from so I'm planning that there will be a 'next time'. I noticed a few giant sized ones. (Like Hagrid might eat), and it would be a fun treat to split one of those for someone's birthday.

Run A.

Yelp
Sandy's is where my love affair with donuts began. I treat myself to these exquisite creations once a month. You can never go wrong with any of their delicious selections. They are full of flavor! Yummy
google avatar

Nettifer W.

Yelp
Little overpriced and the donuts were just okay. I got the cake donuts and they were dry. The big one was fun and big. But not worth $6. Cute place fun location. The peanut butter cinnamon roll was not good. The frost just peeled off. The cream filled donut wasn't good either. It tasted like marshmallows whip with lard.
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
WOW. I was very impressed with the selection, creativity, and deliciousness of these donuts. I definitely saw flavors and designs that I've never come across or even thought of before, and after sampling nearly a dozen flavors, there was not one that disappointed. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Fargo!
google avatar

Jaclyn E.

Yelp
I love Sandy's. It's my go to donut place whenever I come back to Fargo. The donut with bacon on it is hands down my favorite but there are so many flavors that there is something for everyone. This local donut shop is a MUST if you're coming through Fargo

Mckenzie I.

Yelp
The best place to get a donut or 2 :)! You can go inside and enjoy donuts while laughing and talking with family and friends! Been going there for the 1st day of school growing up
google avatar

Sophia P.

Yelp
Amazing service and amazing donuts. Not much better than this. Would recommend getting donuts early in day for maximum freshness.
google avatar

Gina D.

Yelp
Hands down, best donuts in the country. I live in California and when I visit family in Bismarck every summer, a trip to Fargo is always on the list, and Sandy's donuts is top of my list for places to visit. The lines may be long, but well worth the wait, and they move quickly. We always purchase a few donuts for the road! I can't say enough about how much I love their donuts!

Daniella P.

Yelp
The best donuts in the FM area! I love coming in and seeing all the cute donuts available. Each one i have had is beyond amazing.
google avatar

Levi S.

Yelp
Sandy's donuts has been a staple of West Fargo for decades, and Sandy's seems to be ever growing and expanding their reach; the donut shop has done all this while maintaining their standard of excellence in donuts. The icing Sandy's uses is uniquely sweet and the perfect amount of fluffy. Sandy's donuts are a must!
google avatar

Shannon G.

Yelp
First time trying Sandy's Donuts this passed weekend in Fargo. The iced Angel Bismarck donut is my favorite donut of all time!! Mmmm
google avatar

Easy C.

Yelp
The service was friendly with a bright smile that propelled me to order more than the cup of cider I originally went in for. So good job there. The shop had space but was surprisingly busy at 9:25. I'm not really a donut person so the rating reflects that. But everything was fresh and clean. So if you do like donuts this might just be your 5 star go-to-shop.
google avatar

AJ S.

Yelp
So happy they have a Broadway location now! When I was in college, the other one just seemed too far out. Bit into that angel donut and actually died and went to heaven. Yummy eats, great service - a must-see in Fargo!
google avatar

Mark T.

Yelp
The BEST donuts! Enough said:) Always have a great selection and the employees are ever so friendly and knowledgeable

Yelp
I think this place is relatively new to Fargo. I could be wrong, but I don't remember it being here when we visited Fargo 3 years ago. We noticed it yesterday as we were walking down the street and the donuts just all looked so amazing that we knew we wanted to wake up early to get some on our way out of town. We arrived at exactly 6:30 am, just as they were opening up. Soooo many donuts to choose from! I had a difficult time deciding, but settled on a old fashioned sour cream donut. I like to keep it simple. It was the right choice. A bit crisp and glazed on the outside and moist on the inside, just wanted I wanted. Others in my party got ones with peanut butter cream and chocolate icing, which I tasted and they were also amazing. I was especially impressed with the peanut butter cream filling. It was really peanut buttery! The inside of the small shop is contemporary with funky colored lighting and has plenty of tables and chairs so you can eat here or carry out. So happy we tried the donuts and will return next time we're in Fargo!
