Yelp
I have mainly only been to the original location which was a lot smaller and honestly a bit more shabby looking (but that's what makes it feel authentic haha). However, this still becomes my go to place for soup dumplings (for now).
This new location though, a lot cleaner looking and they even have spots for people to sit in (which they didn't have before). They also seem to have more things on their menu than before.
So there are two things that I have mainly tried here (will update when I do try their other things):
Original Pork Sang ji Bao:
Go to thing that I will get here. If I come here, I will 100% be getting some sang ji bao. This is what they are known for, and this is what has made me decide to come here as my go to place for soup dumplings.
They are just so juicy and hot, they're also not that small compared to your typical soup dumplings, these will need at least two bites. If you try putting the whole thing in your mouth, you might choke (and burn from how hot this thing is).
A huge plus is that it also sits well with my stomach, I don't seem to be getting some stomach aches that I sometimes get when I go eat at other soup dumpling places.
Dry noodle w/scallion oil and peanuts:
I did not seem to pay attention to the name when I got this, because when I ate it, the first thing that came to my mind was that this thing is incredibly dry. I thought the oil or something would have made the noodles at least a little less dry, but alas, it is quite dry to eat.
Not necessarily a chore to eat, but I would probably not get these, you can most likely make them at home for a way cheaper price and in a way that you would prefer.
Basically, there's nothing really special about these, and i would not get these again imo.
