We stayed here for 4 nights after a 4 night island expedition with Tao. The idea was to chill out for 4 days, which we certainly did for much of the time whilst snorkelling in the clear sea and reading on the beautiful quiet beach. But, this place is very much geared to diving due to the sunken Japanese WW2 cargo boats a short distance from the resort.|We hadn't dived for 28 years but after a short refresh we did 3 dives. They were all incredible. It was thrilling to be diving above and around wrecks and amongst the stunning coral and marine life. Arranging to go on a dive is straightforward but note the dive you've booked, either a wreck or coral dive, seems to be subject to a group decision at the time of the dive which is a bit annoying if you end up not doing the dive you booked.|We had a beachfront room which was spacious with a great balcony facing the sea. It's quite pricey staying here but all meals are included which are generally varied and tasty. There's a nice bar for late afternoon drinks but note given the aspect and location you don't get sunsets here. |The staff were friendly though 2 things they could have improved on:|1. The battery in the safe had gone and I had to ask them 3 times to come and replace it.|2. After paying my final bill I realised they'd made a mistake and charged us for more dives than we'd done. They acknowledged the error but were unable to use the card machine to credit me the over payment. I had to leave them my bank account details and received the credit about a week later. Mistakes can happen but the resort is pretty small and this shouldn't have taken place.|Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I recommend staying here.

Beautifully appointed small eco resort. A tropical paradise in every respect. The beach bungalows are traditional and unpretentious, but very comfortable with exquisite reviews. The house reef for snorkelling is spectacular, both in terms of the variety of coral and the abundance and variety of fish. Even more special was sighting 8 turtles over 3 days.|The food, which is all included, was beautifully delivered and highlighted the variety of Phillipino cuisine. |The staff was so accommodating, with nothing being too much trouble.|Finally, the diving was spectacular. Being there in the low season, we had our own personal dive master, who catered the diving to our still limited abilities. With all the sites within 15 minutes by speedboat, no time was wasted travelling backwards and forwards. The equipment and professionalism of the staff was again first rate. If you want to do wreck diving, this is the perfect location.

I can’t say enough good things about this remote island resort. We stayed here very last minute, as we were originally staying four nights on a catamaran, but wasn’t enjoying our boat time so needed a quick replacement. The staff was quick to accommodate us and even picked us up from our boat last minute within a few minutes of asking. This island felt extremely remote with just about 15-20 tourists the entire time but it was a short drive and boat ride from Busuanga Airport, making it easily accessible. Once we arrived on the island, the staff was nothing short of amazing. They remember all the guests by name and are extremely friendly and accommodating to every need. The chalets on stilts were wonderful. Nicely spaced out so it felt perfectly remote. They lack AC, but it wasn’t needed because they had wonderful airflow and several large fans. The mosquito nets in each room were also a nice style, as they were tied up on each corner so it didn’t feel like you were getting tangled in it and also stayed tucked under the mattress nicely. There was great off shore snorkeling right on the island, which we enjoyed. They also provide nice beach chairs for lounging. Can’t say it enough though that the best part of this resort was the incredible staff. Every single person we encountered was so kind and helpful. Look no further than this amazing place while staying around Coron!

Tranquil place to stay and excellent for anyone who loves diving. The accommodation is in chalets which are well spaced along the beach. There are some set back amongst the trees to. Transfer from the airport is by minus then boat. We arrived at dusk and all the fairy lights and lanterns were on so it looked great. Jennifer welcomed us and gave the resort intro and times for meals etc. We were also introduced to Amber (dog) who has been trained to chase the monkeys away and told how to summon her. That said the monkeys were around but not overly problematic. Onsite Dive Operator who came round each evening to introduce himself to new guests and check on existing guests to see whether they wanted to dive and if so what they were interested in or how there day had been. I had a pre booked dive package so this was great. Food was plentiful and tasty. The chef made an effort to make alternative meals for anyone with an allergy. |The rock bar is a great idea and the mango daquiri is a must try.

This was our absolutely favorite place that were stayed during our Palawan trip. The staff was absolutely wonderful and helpful and positive, and they coordinated the travel to and from the airport so well that it was a breeze! We did a first time dive and the staff was wonderful! There are aunkwn ahips from WWII and they are covered with exquisite corals and marine life!! The island itself was absolutely lovely and breathtakingly wonderful and relaxing - it was not commercial/busy, and you could sit in the quiet of your own thoughts and nature. The rooms were in naturally beautiful houses. The beach only part of that resort was lovely and the life in the coral reef was wonderful (& worth snorkeling to see it)!! We had a friend recommend this place; and after going I would say it is a must to go to when visiting Palawan, Philippines!!

I have just returned from a much too short of a visit to Sangat Bay Island resort. It is a beautifully remote and isolated resort, tucked away in a bay by itself. Despite this, it is very reachable and a fairly easy journey to the resort. The stunning view on arrival of the beach, very tasteful buildings and surrounding dense forest is only matched by the incredibly friendly and warm reception by the staff. At the reception desk, Jennifer and Meryli greet you with her beaming, heartwarming, smiles, and make sure you are well taken care of the rest of your stay. The diaphyseal is well equipped, the boat comfortable, and well manned, and the dive guides excellent! My guide, Fred, was superb both in guiding us through the wrecks and pointing out Reef creatures on the outside. The Rooms or chalets on stilts, widely separated, and private, well maintained and comfortable. The main dining/gathering area is very comfortable and the food quite good. Again, all of the staff were extremely warm and friendly and quite helpful. I will definitely return to Sangat Island Resort In the future. It is an incredible experience!

Our stay at Sangat Dive Resort was nothing short of amazing, and we can’t wait to return. From the moment we arrived, Jennifer, the manager, made us feel like family. Her warmth and attentiveness were unmatched. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, offering personalized recommendations and always checking in to make sure we were comfortable. This resort is a *diver's dream*. This was our first dive vacation and we couldn’t have asked for better guidance. The dive team—Tom, Eve, Eco, and Ed—were incredibly knowledgeable, calm, and passionate about the marine life. They made each dive an unforgettable adventure, expertly guiding us through the wrecks and vibrant coral reefs. We felt completely safe in their hands, and their enthusiasm for the underwater world was contagious. The rest of the diving staff also did an outstanding job preparing all our gear, making everything smooth and hassle-free. It’s clear that the team here is dedicated to providing top-notch experiences for divers of all levels. While diving was the highlight, the resort offers so much more. We enjoyed massages, kayaking, paddleboarding, and snorkeling, but above all, relaxed. This island is a true paradise. We can’t recommend Sangat Dive Resort enough. The staff, the diving, and the breathtaking island setting made our vacation an experience we’ll never forget. Don’t forget to swing by the amazing happy hour! A 5-star experience through and through!

The resort is beautiful and swimming here is great. I really enjoyed the trips they offered but I didn't like the diving class. The huts are quite simple inside but the view is amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good and there were different options. I stayed there before Christmas.
