Sangster International Airport

The airport was pretty clean with many food restaurants. I just wanted to address the problem of the Hudson store which for some reason is not listed on Google Maps. The store clearly had many deals, 2 for 1, 75% off, etc, but these deals are either scam or already reduced from the price. I know airports are normally very expensive but $10 dollars for water is an absolute CRIME! And finally don’t get me started about how the restaurant doesn’t accept Jamaican dollars.

The customer service is poor. We were not welcomed and we were not greeted. No one spoke to us unless we asked them a question. There were no instructions and no directions given. We had to figure it out on our own. The baggage handler was rude and kept bumping into us while we waited to get our luggage, and didn't say excuse me - no manners at all. On our shuttle from the airport to the resort, our seats were horrible. Instead of putting us on another shuttle, we had to sit in seats that were out of service. See photos. Due to Hurricane Melissa, we were given the option of a full refund or to rebook. We choose to go to support Jamaica. The airport employees need to do a better job with customer service.

I have visited MBJ many times over the years, and this visit was the smoothest by far. They have added facial recognition which really does expedite arrivals and get you through without any long customs lines. Great job following the typical Canada/US protocol and speeding up times for everyone wanting to get to the beach asap.

This airport was really nice as it was my first time visiting Jamaica. We really enjoyed the VIP mobay lounge. The lounge was comfy, had A/C, great drinks, and delicious food. The service was great and we will definitely return.

Well organized and smooth airport for both arrivals and departures. Arrived at 10am on a Saturday and immigration was a breeze. Airport personnel were friendly and directed us to baggage claim and the Sandals resort. Departed 1 week later and received the same friendly service, especially from the American Airlines baggage employee, Neo! Neo was very friendly and congratulated my wife and I on our first trip to Jamaica. Highly recommend Club Mobay for departure! Relaxing lounge with ample seating and solid food/drinks.

Another airport where the security must be ran by a group of clowns. I only travel with a carry-on. When I initially entered before I went to my gate, I made it through without my carry-on being inspected. Of course I am not carrying anything illegal, so I have no worries. Before I was about to board my plane, I was taken aside to have my carry-on looked through yet again. Why? Because you don't trust the initial security officers and system? Why else would you need to rifle through my bag for a second time? The problem too is that the delay made me not secure a spot on the plane in the overhead compartment for my carry-on. If the second group of security officers does not trust the original check point security officers, then why should we? What makes them have to re-check a person's carry-on? If you come through this airport, keep your head on a swivel, since security is a massive clown show, and they don't trust each other. 🤡

The last 2 times were fair but this trip was EXCELLENT. The process was smooth, less interactions with the staff. The mandatory interactions were calm and humane. The customer service was better both arrival and departure . Club Mobay was a great experience. The staff was very professional and courteous. The food was great and 🔥. Chantel the service agent was amazing. Thanks for your service Chantel . The overall experience was great! 10/10 Definitely recommend!

It was a pretty good experience. Can’t give it a 5-star rating because there are other airports that are definitely better, but I can’t complain about anything from this airport. When we arrived the walk to immigration wasn’t far, the lines were fairly long but moved quickly. The immigration officers were nice and professional. I recommend you take a cab from the taxi booth that clearly shows you the price of any ride. When we were leaving Montego Bay, security was quick, officers are waaay nicer that in the States, and everything went smoothly. It isn’t a state of the art airport but A+ to the designers that did the most with what they had. Very nice!
