This was my second visit to Sankara, and once again, they didn’t disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We were warmly welcomed at the airport by a friendly driver, and upon reaching the hotel, Alice at reception greeted us with the utmost professionalism. She escorted us to our room, ensuring every detail was taken care of—her hospitality was truly outstanding.||Our room was clean, well-presented, and thoughtfully stocked with amenities. While the shower was a bit dated, it was spotless and functional, and the overall comfort of the room made up for it.||As Ambassador members, we had access to the lounge, which was a highlight of our stay. The warm welcome and impressive spread easily made it one of the best lounges at a Marriott-affiliated hotel. The swimming pool, though small, was a refreshing retreat from the heat.||Sankara’s location is another major advantage. I had a full day of meetings, and the convenience of having several great dining options nearby, including those at the mall next door, was a plus. No matter how many times we stepped in and out of the hotel, we were always greeted by the ever-smiling, welcoming team upon our return.||For our departure, the hotel arranged a taxi to the airport, and thanks to the expressway, we arrived in just 20 minutes—an effortless end to a seamless stay.||What I love most about Sankara is its perfect balance of modern international standards with an authentic Kenyan soul. From the cuisine and décor to the warm, genuine hospitality, it truly embodies the best of both worlds. Looking forward to visiting again!

Dinner at 'Graze Steakhouse' was nothing short of amazing. Kevin; our waiter, went above & beyond to make our experience far much better. His service was exceptionally good. From the starters, perfectly made steaks all through to the complimentary dessert for our table of five, food was a 10/10. For a birthday dinner, they sure do make one feel special.

Gorgeous gorgeous restaurant! The local art on the wall adds to the ambience. The quality of food is exemplary! The place is suitable for all manner of meetings, whether it's the quiet and chill solo, the business meetup, the hot date or group of girlfriends out for a great time. There's something for everyone. They also have the best pastries this side of the Sahara!

Decently great place, definitely a recommendation. If you stay there, make sure you have dinner at the steakhouse. Outstanding quality and even better service- unbeatable. Ask for Mr. Kevin - most attentive and best trained waiter ever. An evening with him to serve will remain unforgettable

Beautiful Hotel with great service and comfort.|I really enjoyed my stay at the Sankara. I've become accustomed to the comfort and service at many of the Marriott chain of hotels and Sankara is up there as one of the best. The hotel is located few meters to the biggest shopping mall in Nairobi with very good security at the hotel. The staff at the hotel makes it worth while. Arrianna Owiti ,the hostess at the M club is a real shinning star👌. Her combination with Kimath made our visit to the club lounge at 7th floor a pleasant one. Thanks so much for making our stay very comfortable.|I have stayed in so many Nairobi hotels but now Sankara is my new Nairobi home

The staff are the hotels best asset, the beds are fresh and clean and the housekeeping are very attentive. The bedroom furniture it tired and aging and carpet not so clean..but that's more to with age than dirt. Otherwise you will enjoy a good quiet night sleep. The shower and towels are perfect..the bathroom roomy. Windows in room do not open...which is a pity. There are USB and uk and eu sockets which is good. Storage for suits etc is limited...wardrobe is a bit small. ||The food offerings on menu are reasonably good but very pricey ( minimum 20 euro for burger and beer?). The breakfast is hit and miss. I'm not into the cheese and meats thing..but they didn't look great anyway. Most of the hot food offerings in large copper bays is cold or lukewarm. But you can order fresh cooked egg options and there are other offerings like roti and Asian food at breakfast too. There are plenty of good coffee options and a good fruit and yogurt selection. A small outdoor terrace is available for outdoor dining which is pleasant enough for a city hotel rather lacking in any outdoor space at all. There is a small pool..think pond..on the roof with an outdoor terrace but no real views. A small gym has a range of equipment but frankly the ceiling is a bit low. But it's ok for a short work out. ||For Vips, there is a decent enough lounge on the 7th floor, it's ok for quite moment during the day. And you can grab a free coffee or mineral...they offer a small buffet and cocktail which is frankly a a bit of a rip off with a meagre two hour offering between five and seven.... The food often feels and tastes like second rate and is often cold or gone before u can blink. You are far better off eating out that forking up to 80USD daily for this unimpressive offering ..access is free with more expensive rooms..so you pay one way or the other.||As I said the staff are lovely..but I don't know what account system they use at reception but they are painfully slow..so be warned.||The hotel is well located close to sarit mall which has lots of shops and diners and a few bars also. You can walk...do..get the fresh air.||Sankara is decent but it's a typical ageing bonvoy hotel and way too expensive for what they think they are. It's more 4 star than five star and there are some better options in Nairobi these days.||I think I said it already..but at least you will be assured of a good night sleep when it's not too busy.

Excellent hotel! Enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights before starting a safari - located in a nicer area of Nairobi with a mall across the street. Breakfast buffet was good but restaurant for lunch was terrible with service even worse. We also ate one night in their steakhouse that had good reviews and the service was terrible and food was average and overall disappointing. Our server took our order and never returned. We ordered chateaubriand and was waiting for it to be cut and served at the table and the meat was brought out by kitchen staff on a large platter sliced in many small pieces. A little overcooked and not much flavor. Extremely overpriced for the quality of food and service so would not recommend eating in the hotel restaurants.

The perfect Hotel with great rooms and delicious breakfast and food. Staff is always very helpful. They also make the best cappucino animals and the Sankara seven (little lime stone animals) are nice memoribilia.
