"Called my friend Bari (of nearby Baz Bagel) and she sent me to the Sant Ambroeus Gelateria. I got pistachio in a cone and it did not disappoint."

Cute spot in Soho, good ice cream, not the best; but good. Def others around are better. Staff is so rude, i put 2 stars for the guy that helped me at the ice cream bar, but others who are making coffee and on the cashier, very rude. Overhyped place…

I love the vegan chocolate gelato. It is rich and dense. Loved it so much. Came back here for several times to have it. The shop and the vibe is nice. Staffs are good, they let me try several flavors before I made a decision.

Google
Delicious gelato - truly good ingredients and quality of gelato. Real pistachio should be brownish green and not light green, which was the case here. Vegan chocolate was surprisingly good and rich too! Cute italian-flair atmosphere. Price is good for NYC. Highly recommend!

Very good cappuccino, I would give 5 stars but I have to dock a star because service is a little slow for no reason. There is a simple system... Someone orders and you have the items made. There's more than enough staff to make it happen but somehow the staff at this location is slow. Busy location but that's no excuse. Imagine how much busier you'd be if you moved a little faster lol. Something that should take 3 mins.. takes 7 mins here. 😐😐😐😐😐😬😬😬😬😬

Google
Exceptional gelato and sorbets, top 3 out of the 50+ ice cream shops/gelaterias I have been too. 18 flavors including 8 vegan, amazing flavors that you can sample, generous portions and reasonable prices 3 scoops for 8.25). They also have salads, sandwiches and a cafe. Limited indoor and some outdoor seating. Every flavor I tried was amazing, but my two favorites were the cantaloupe sorbet and the flagship Sant Ambroeus (orange and lemon zest with raspberry powder in a vanilla base). So smooth and rich in flavor that you get transported as you eat it.

Google
It's very disappointing..this place is wonderful and really feels like Italy..quality of ingredients is top BUT they keep raising the coffee prices and they just raised them again!! A regular drip coffee is now over $7 for a medium!!!! That's just crazy !!!! Review update they re lowered the prices back down and that’s much appreciated..as SA is a beautiful place and I’m happy to be back!

Yelp
This place is right out of a Hallmark movie! This place is great for a day-date with the hubs or with a gal pal if you're craving for some delicious gelato! They have a great variety with everything clearly labelled, and tempting for your hungry eyes. I opted for one scoop of hazelnut while my husband got two scoops of mint chocolate chip. Creamy, smooth, and simply delicious! My hazelnut tasted just like if I bit into a Ferrero Rocher chocolate! I didn't share mine and knew the hubs would with me, so I was winning at this point in the early afternoon! Sitting is incredibly limited, inside and out, but we were lucky enough to get to lean on a standing bar right by the main entrance so we could people watch and eat happily. The staff came over to us 2-3 times asking if we needed any water or napkins, which I thought was super nice since we only got ice cream and nothing else. I would love to come back next time to try a pastry or even one of their lunch offerings. Worth coming out of your way for!

Yelp
Cute dessert café in SoHo! Perfect for a sweet treat! Ambiance & Service: Seating is first come, first serve. There's limited inside and outside seating. Service took a bit of time but it was worth the wait! Food & Drink: - Hot Chocolate: just like the Parisian hot chocolate! Loved that the chocolate wasn't too sweet and you could modify how much milk you added. - Principessa Cake: I adore this dessert! The vanilla isn't too sweet, the lemon adds a touch of tartness, and the almond marzipan is divine. Perfect to share a slice!

Nice ice cream shop, a must when in New York! Relaxing place to have some sweets on a hot day in New York.

Yelp
Sant Ambroeus is a cute little spot to have coffee, a little snack and some sweets. It is a small place with a limited (4-5?) number of tables for two and some outside seating, though it was a bit too cold for outdoor seating. I had a salami sandwich which was the perfect size for a little afternoon snack and not too spendy. I also got hazelnut gelato, and I expected to get a tiny little scoop but was surprised to get two delicious and giant scoops of gelato. It's a great spot to meet a friend for coffee or a snack.

Yelp
I come to sant amroueus everyday to get my coffee since i live in the neighborhood i never swich places to get my coffee because the service and hospitality is amazing. Camila one of the employees who works here is great!! She is kind and always asks me how my day is going even when its busy she finds ways to make my experience 10/10 i am in the PR field and see her as a value to the restaurant. The space is amazing a very good place to people watch. Over all this place is a gem.

Yelp
Cake was delightful. Cute spot with nice ambience. No bathroom for customers. Expensive and small. Service was a bit slow especially for a Sunday morning when I was the only customer for a drink. I feel like the cakes and gelato are worth a splurge for when you want a sweet treat or to celebrate an occasion. Drinks weren't impressive.

Yelp
I love this place!! The vibes are so nice and it's the perfect place to get ice cream on a summer night. I also tried their "affogato" cocktail which was one of the most unique cocktails I've had. It was like a Negroni poured over a scoop of lemon sorbet - so refreshing and satisfied my ice cream cravings while adding an extra kick! - @nyconthetable

Yelp
We placed a pick up order via UberEats on 7/14/24. everything was fine as we picked it up on time, walked 25 minutes home, and as we opened the order we realized that they had not packed the princess cake (the whole reason we decided to place an order in the first place). Instead of asking Uber eats for a refund (because we really wanted the cake) we walked back to the restaurant to explain the missing item. Upon arrival one of the workers challenged our claim that they didn't pack it, insinuating that we had just walked back 25 mins in the heat of the summer to get a free slice of cake. After a few more minutes of confrontation from this worker, it took his manager coming out and checking how many slices were remaining to realize they had indeed messed up our order. Considering how pricey the food is even for New York, I find it rich that the staff was so accusatory and out of line when it was clearly a mess up on their part. I will not be returning to this location nor other restaurants within the chain.

Yelp
Got a cold brew + prosciutto & mozz sandwich (ask for it heated/pressed). Cute spot but pricey for what it's worth.

Yelp
In a nutshell: Great spot for people watching in a weather permitting day, its exquisite desserts and lovely packaging it's only diminished by poor customer service and operating hours. BEST Although I haven't tried all deserts on the menu, when it comes to flavor, texture and consistency both the SoHo and West Village deliver an exquisite Gianduia cake is that is simply 5 stars. If you are a dessert lover who isn't looking for sugar free or vegan options this is a MUST try place. Ideally to take a date, it's a place that calls for more for intimate experiences. For entrepreneurs, you could work here on your phone, perhaps sit down to handwrite notes for awhile but... not to pull out your laptop and work hours on end. BAD This is not a work place per se or a place to bring food or containers from other places (I witnessed the manager having to come to an outside table to tell the patrons to please not to pull out their tupperware...). My first experience here was a 5 taken in consideration I sit down for cake and an equally satisfying almond cappuccino, but the I had to follow up to have my order brought to me. My next and most recent visit, at night time, was very disappointing when it came to service. If you know you are about to close, you need to tell the client when saying he wants to have the order outside... Not allow me to tip as if I were to be serviced outside only to, after waiting for awhile on an empty café only to be brought my order on a bag to go because they are about to close. Really?! I felt fooled and is a shame because is a wasted opportunity.

Yelp
while it wasn't the best gelato i've ever had, it was quite delicious!! the ambiance, being right next to the restaurant, was really nice and cozy. the staff were courteous, though the man working the gelato station didn't seem like he wanted to be there too much. I got the hazelnut which was splendid, and my friend got pistachio and hazelnut- he said both were great! we sat outside people watching at 9 pm on a weeknight. next time i'd love to try the restaurant! they have cute outdoor seating.

Yelp
Beautiful space, has a cozy and chic coffee shop vibe. We stopped in here for a drink before dinner and ordered wine and hot chocolate. One of the best hot chocolates I've had, made with dark chocolate and it's delicious. It's counter service, so you can order to go as well.

Yelp
I love this cafe! The ambiance and the service are typically superb. As a frequent customer , I was quite disappointed by the presentation of this tiramisu especially considering price point and location. Maybe a ramekin of some kind could fix this issue. This place is too picturesque for something like the tiramisu to knock it's rating. Overall nice place !

Yelp
Highly recommend, place has awesome vibes, delicious gelato (I'd recommend the chocolate or hazelnut especially), and looks beautiful! Everyone was super friendly there as well. 100% would suggest for coffee, a quiet drink, or dessert.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place looking for some coffee to get me through the rest of the evening and I'm so happy we did. My gf ordered an espresso martini that was so good she got a second one almost immediately. I opted for a couple of cappuccinos. We sat outside and they were very helpful keeping us warm and out of the rain while enjoying our drinks outside. The rain and the adorable location helped set a tone to get us ready for the rest of our evening.

Yelp
OMG one of the best gelato I've had so far. The texture is so light and creamy and the flavors are amazing. This place definitely stands out among all the other gelato shops near by in this area. I don't know why this place only has 2 reviews. But it's a must try. They have so many flavors and they let you try the flavors before deciding what you want. They have many flavors and other treats as well. Will definitely be coming here again to try other flavors.

Yelp
0 star experience - absolutely horrendous and NEVER coming back here again. i strongly encourage everyone else to stay far, far away. you have many way better options in the area that actually deserve your patronage. i and a few friends were celebrating a friend's birthday at a restaurant in the area, and were planning to surprise her with a cake for dessert. we found sant ambroeus and noticed they had seemingly great options (gelato, cocktails, pastries) and so two of us (non-birthday people) dropped by the shop before dinner to ask if we would be able to pay for a cake in advance and have it ready as a surprise for when we returned afterwards. the staff person said this was doable, noted the approximate time we would be back and our names, and had us pay for the cake. at this point, i would like to note that the cake itself was way more than expected (to give you a sense - one slice of cake here alone is $15. we paid way more than that for everything and also tipped generously on top - i regret all of this so much), but we were hoping it would be worth it, particularly for our awesome friend, and so we paid anyway. we proceeded to meet up with the birthday girl and had a lovely dinner elsewhere, then returned to sant ambroeus as a group and found a table. we were settling in and trying to stall the birthday girl with the gelato menu when when the same staff member who had completed our transaction earlier awkwardly approached us and said that if we wanted to eat the cake there, we would be charged a $7.50 cake cutting fee *EACH*. ridiculous. we had already paid an exorbitant amount for what was basically a chocolate cake, but now we were being charged to eat their OWN CAKE. furthermore, the staff member could have easily mentioned this when we first bought the cake itself and expressed that we would be coming back to celebrate and eat it there after dinner. instead, they waited until the birthday girl was sitting right there, thereby completely ruining our surprise, and locking us into the crazy fees to eat their own overpriced food when it was obvious that we couldn't take it elsewhere. an impeccable, extremely customer-friendly business practice. the birthday girl kindly pretended she hadn't picked up on what was going on and ordered some gelato, and then we basically sat around waiting for the cake to come out (it took a while) and ended up finishing all the gelato in the meantime. the bday girl was too full at this point and didn't even get to eat the cake. we were still trying to make the best of things (and had a great time otherwise, but solely due to the company and not the venue at all) when someone from outside came into the store and started harassing customers to buy slices of overpriced cake for them. this person chased another customer from their table (they legit just got up and left) while the staff did absolutely nothing despite the store being practically empty and very small, thereby definitely being close enough to intervene. this person approached our table next. we just passed through the interaction without thinking too much of it, though this person was overly aggressive and rude (NYC for you - whatever), but the fact that the staff again just stood idly by doing nothing rubbed me the wrong way on top of all these other minuses. the cake was okay but not worth the crazy price we paid, and you can't even enjoy your food here without getting harassed. the staff are clearly not watching out for their customers and i feel like i was just being taken advantage of, again and again, for my money. this is one of the most horrible experiences i've had at a store in nyc in recent memory and was saved only by the great company and humor of my friends. again - do NOT come here. go to bambina blue right down the street if you want dessert - amazing ice cream, service, and ambiance; it's superior in every possible way. honestly, you can go to any baskin robbins around the corner or a corner store deli for häagen-dazs and get a much better experience. this place was an absolute disappointment and i'm never recommending sant ambroeus for any occasion, much less what should have been a memorable one.

Yelp
Beautiful texture on the gelati. But don't sleep on the rest of the menu. The flourless chocolate walnut cookie is the secret weapon, a must-order. Decadent & delicious.

Yelp
Beautiful spot, with great gelato! We randomly happened upon this place and were pleasantly surprised. Got the pistachio, hazelnut and chocolate flavors

Yelp
Honestly do not overlook this place!! The flavors are exquisite and so so so dreamy in texture, and it's very cute chic vibes for aesthetics. The lady serving me was so sweet and let me try flavors before I picked my flavors. Pistachio was UNREAL. You know how some places go overboard in pistachio flavor? No. Their sign for 100% Italian meant serious business because it was 100% dreamy and perfectly balanced in flavor. The fruity flavors like passionfruit were a tad icy but I'm sure it's because of the fruit water balance, but still delicious. The Sant Ambroeus flavor was most intriguing. With a dusting of strawberry, lemon and orange? I think? I was super excited to try it let me tell you, I would gladly eat a tub, i don't know what it is, but it tasted like fruity pebbles with a touch more citrus magic and my taste buds told me not to leave without it. I ended up getting the Sant Ambroeus and pistachio and I enjoyed every drop inside at the little table while the sun beamed in and air drafted from the open doors. 100/10 would go back, was so satisfied afterwards
