Hotel Rural Sant Joan de Binissaida, a Design Boutique Hotel Es Castell, Spain

"Hotel Rural Sant Joan de Binissaida is a charming and tranquil rural hotel located in an 18th-century manor house on the east side of Menorca Island, very close to the entrance to the port of Mahón. During your stay you will be able to explore 30 acres of green space that surrounds the hotel before taking a dip in the outdoor swimming pool or enjoying a good meal in the restaurant. There are many pathways or hiking trails which run both inland and along the coast, and bike rentals are available." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Sant Joan de Binissaida isn't just a hotel, it's a little slice of heaven. The grounds are immaculate and inspire a sense of calm unlike any place I've ever been. My soul felt nourished and my spirit was lifted. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive and help foster a the sense of wellbeing the resort instills in guests. They offer a wide array of services like massages, olive cultivation tours, olive oil tasting, wine tasting and exceptional dinners. Words really can't express how appreciative we are of their dedication to their crafts and their attention to detail. They made it all look effortless and yet they provided an experience I will remember for a lifetime. A sincere and heart felt thank you to everyone there, and applause is due for doing all of this with a focus on protecting and healing our planet.

I am not sure if I should even review the Binissiada Boutique Hotel as this is a pure gem and actually we wanna come back here and avoid not getting a room because they're fully booked ;) The staff is amazing and super polite and attentive, the interior is beautiful and the rooms super unique. We booked the Junior Suite which was the chapel in the past, and the altar is still there. If you are freaked out by that, you can however close the doors. There was also a Jacuzzi in the room and it was probably small things like the beautiful Belgian linen pillows that made the room so nice. The view from the breakfast terrace is just amazing. You enjoy a big variety of delicious locally produced things, fresh orange juice, daily changing pastries and you can order eggs in various variations. We had dinner at the restaurant twice. Creative, delicious dishes with great and friendly service. We hung out at the pool for a couple of afternoons after we came back from the beach. There is a bar right next to the pool so you can enjoy a cocktail, beer or glass of wine while lying on the sunbeds. They also produce their own olive oil which is just delicious and we bought some of it home with us. What really stood out is the staff. Unfortunately our car seat never left our home airport, so we asked the hotel and within hours they provided us one for the few days. We are planning another stay here with extended family next summer so we will be back.

My friends and I had the loveliest two week stay here while our kids were volunteering at the nearby farm rescue. The service was outstanding- the front desk was accommodating and quick to respond with all our needs. The food was so fresh with oil and yogurt and many other things made fresh on the farm. The produce grown there was incredible too. The restaurant staff went above and beyond. We had a large group with kids of all ages and this was a beautiful and easy place to convene after a day’s adventures. Everything is so comfortable and lovely but not fussy. We miss it already!

I've been coming here for meals for years, and it was always incredibly dependable, high-class and delicious food and a great wine selection. I've been twice this year and come away disappointed each time. The location is still stunning, the produce and local products still top-notch, and the staff super friendly but the quality of the menu and its execution have suffered while prices have gone up.

beautiful and quiet. ideal for relaxing. i loved the food. staff was kind and always available but i have to point out one member of the staff. a young girl who never smiled, always looked grumpy and when you asked something she would act as if she was doing you a favor. please change her attitude. you know who she is other than that it was amazing

We absolutely love this hotel. It's the 4th time we've stayed, every time for a week. Lovely staff, quiet and fantastic pool. We'll be back for sure

We have stayed in this beautiful dog friendly hotel 3 times. It never disappoints us. The restaurant serves first-class meals. The main hotel building was originally a farmhouse, and the outside rooms were originally the stables. It's nice to see it's still a working farm. You can buy their own produced olive oil, which is delicious. The hotel management loves to see our dog and makes a fuss of him. I highly recommend staying here.
