Sant Pere de Galligants is one of two Benedictine monasteries in Girona’s historic center. Its construction began in the 10th century in Romanesque style with further construction starting in the 12th century. Tickets cost €7 for adults in April 2025 to the archeological museum that is housed in the monastery. However, even walking around the exterior of the building admiring its architecture is worth it.

Not worth €4 should be: €1 max, by donation or free. The displays make the inside look ugly. They’re only in Spanish. Its small. Better to view from outside, and not go in. Create a Girona all exhibit tickets, €10. I don’t like paying €4 at every “museum” for a 5 minute walkthrough.

Came in to see the site that was used for The Citadel shots in Season 6 of Game of Thrones! Beautiful space. Tickets are 7 euros to enter.

It was mostly empty inside but there were some old tombs and ancient Latin writings. There is big garden at the back of it, it very peaceful. Also if you go upstairs there is an exhibition of history from the oldest to till now. It was very pleasing however I wish they had enough English explanations. Mostly explanations are in Catalan.

Seriously a walk back in time. Beautiful. Easy to navigate. Shockingly antique. Great on a sunny day or a rainy day. I'd love to see it in the snow.

One of the 5 museums of girona!! This medieval church is the archaeological museum of girona. Where you can expand your wisdom on the subject of medieval architecture and techniques. It is tiny, you will see all the exposition quickly but they usually offer child activities such as build your own mosaic (adults can play it too)
