A lovely and quirky restaurant located right next to the Mercado de Santa Clara dedicated to all things mushroom đ
It's one of those Lisbon well kept secrets I love! Not touristy, amazing value for money... I keep coming year after year!
I went back yesterday, and we ended up trying a few dishes that really stood out!
The couvert is a great start; the creative mushroom nibbles are super flavourful and perfect with the duo of breads.
We then had the Gnocchi, Funghi & Pecorino, which were incredibly soft and fresh; covered in a rich mushroom ragĂč with a light pecorino foam on top. Proper, delicate, comfort food!
We also had the Tagliata com Porcini, served juicy and rare, as I like it. The meat was tender, and the porcini sauce layered on the purée added a deep, earthy flavour that made the whole dish stand out!
To finish, we couldnât resist sharing the Ăxtase de Santa Clara. A porcini ice cream might sound strange at first, but try it out! It is creamy, balanced, and perfect with the waffle and crumble.
