Santa Claus Christmas Store

Crazy about Christmas! My husband and I took a trip to Santa Claus Indiana this year for our anniversary. After hitting all of the Christmas places in the area, we knew we had to make a trip through the Christmas store. It all began on the outside, where we felt like little kids sticking our heads through the photo ops and then onto the inside. The first room that we spent a good amount of time in was the village room. We were so excited to see all the different types of villages offered here. It began with the Halloween village and then moved onto the Disney Christmas village. I was particularly impressed by the village that had a Dairy Queen blizzard house and others of the type. Don’t forget the “A Christmas Story” village and Christmas Vacation village along with the Harry Potter one. There were rooms that were filled with snowmen! My son is a Coca-Cola fanatic and there was plenty of ornaments and decor to fill a room with here. I had to make sure and pick up a few items. There is an adorable Santa House that is built within the building in the back. When it gets closer to Christmas time, Santa sits in his chair next to the fireplace, talking to the kids about what wishes they have for Christmas. What would you find next to Santa’s house? Mrs. Claus’s Candy Shop! Here you could find lots of sweet treats, including cookies that were bigger than my hand. Santa would definitely be really pleased with these! Drinks and fudge were also offered here. I specifically liked the wall of night lights. I have never seen that many holiday night lights anywhere and it was hard not to want to buy them all. The sweets rooms were amazing as well! Ornaments, figurines…so sweet! Then there was a gorgeous nativity room. It was nice to see that they had an entire room dedicated to what Christmas is about. Need something personalized, they had a room filled with ornaments that could be personalized. They even had an entire cabinet of Lenox made ornaments! Those make wonderful gifts! Workers are very welcoming and friendly. If you could have an ultimate Christmas store, this would definitely be it. There’s no way you would walk out of here empty-handed. Highly recommend when visiting Santa Claus! Debit and credit cards accepted. Open 10am-5pm everyday. Open May-December.

Your level of enjoyment of this store will depend on a couple of factors: how much you like Christmas and how many Christmas stores you've been to. I, for one, absolutely love Christmas, and I've now been to 5 major Christmas stores. Of all of them, this one ranks 4th. To me, that is unacceptable in a place called Santa Claus, IN. What the store does right: it genuinely has some stunning and unique Christmas decor. If you've never been to a Christmas store before, it is absolutely worth stopping in. What the store does wrong: it feels more corporate than all the others I've been to. The others have felt like an immersive holiday experience, and they naturally make you feel cozy. I actually felt a coldness in this store. I'm not talking about temperature at all here. It's very difficult to describe. Our personal bad experience: Their products are sometimes mislabeled, which led to a genuine disagreement between us and staff. They had a light up painting marked at $36 and some change, and when we went to check out, they told us they'd have to get one from the back (store models and all). We waited between 10-15 minutes for her to come back with the wrong model. She then took the same amount of time to go back and find the right painting, but then there were no batteries to test it. That took another 5-10 minutes. In the end, they charged us 108 dollars. We took them back to where it was listed at 36, and it took them another 15 minutes to figure out what to do. I'm not angry that they didn't sell it to us for the mismatched price, I was angry at the attitude they showed because we walked out without buying it. TL;DR - Keep your expectations in check. The Christmas Store in Santa Claus, IN, ranks low on the list of America's Christmas stores.

The Bluey and Reese's ornaments we got will be nice additions to our Christmas tree. Cool Harry Potter stuff too.

What a delightful Christmas themed store. They have a wide range of inventory and a very helpful staff.

Just walking up to the store in August makes you feel Christmas in the air. Even if you don't buy something. But you will. It's a place you need to go and see

This is definitely Christmas! We walked in and were amazed at how big it was! Every time we turned a corner, it kept going. The cute bakery in the back has delicious cookies! I really like the peanut butter cookie. We purchased a few ornaments - they will personalize on site for you.

Gobs of Christmas items. Well displayed and organized. Nice selection including angels, nativity sets, and Santa stuff. A lot of them were pretty expensive. Some not as much. We apparently weren't in a Christmas mood because we didn't buy anything. I did like one of their angels.

This place has quite the variety of themes, decorations, and items to match any Christmas lover's dream. They have a lot to choose from and a large square footage of area's that you can explore. Things to caution: **If you are bringing small or younger children, be advised, they have many breakable items within an arms reach or an area that kiddo's can grab or bump into throughout the whole store. Many breakables in higher dollar amount values. **Be mindful of the time of year when visiting. They are only open certain months of the year. Be sure to make sure they will be open during your visit as they don't have signs or verbiage on all of their signs that tell when they are actually open. **If you are wanting personalized items, call and make sure they have someone on staff there that can do it. Also- find out if they have a lot in the queue already because you could be waiting for a minute to get the personalization completed. Overall, great experience!! I do encourage all to visit at least once.

This place is huge, amazing, and the lines move quickly! They have many registers open, which during a busy season is much needed. I'm not super into Christmas, but I highly recommend popping in if you see the signs from the freeway. You will easily spend at least $50, and they have so many ornaments & selection of all different shades of skin. They can also personalize any ornaments if you're willing to wait a few extra minutes. We went right after Thanksgiving, and it was packed, but the lines went quick.

This is a very good stop when experiencing Santa Claus Indiana. The building is very cool looking, like you might see Santa Claus or his Elf's in or around the place. A tremendous amount of candy of all types are here. Well worth a stop!

I mean, let's be honest, if you've specifically decided to visit a town named Santa Claus, this is the type of stop you can't miss! No matter the time of year, you will immediately feel like you arrived in the North Pole when you enter the Christmas store. Any ornament you've been in search of? I'd check here. There in all the nooks and crannies. There's a nice coffee stop where you can also purchase yummy cookies and baked goods. We had a very enjoyable visit with Santa, and they also offer photos for purchase, should you so desire. The store is quite large so there are plenty of aisles and rooms to explore. Staff were friendly and helpful, and an especially kind cashier gave us tips on where else to stop in the area! There is plenty of parking available in the shopping center lot.

This is a very large store filled to the brim store of Christmas items. The majority of inventory is ornaments - VERY extensive variety of ornaments. You can get most any kind of ornament here and they are organized nicely with headers over the sections. I liked that they had items grouped together by themes - EX gingerbread house theme, Grinch theme, elf themes, etc. I also liked that they had decorations, kitchen ware, stuffed animals, a few toys, gifting items, etc. A little something for everyone. My favorite item by far was the advent calendars. Theirs were made of wood and the doors were large enough to fit a small toy or funsize candy bar inside. They were stunning! This store had pictures with Santa as well. I'm not sure if that is a seasonal offering or all the time, but I thought it was a nice touch. They also have a small coffee and snack counter at the back that was reasonably priced. I gave 4 stars as this is a bit of a "touristy" store and the prices reflect that. It was worth the stop to browse and see if there was anything I couldn't live without.

How can you not love this amazing store?!?! Ornaments every where! If you can find it here, they don't make it. And the cashier is amazing at hand written personalization on the ornaments. I could spend a fortune here:)

Christmas is not my favorite holiday. I know. I know. Who am I? I'm not a grinch like I was for a few seasons. I like it again. I just don't looooove Christmas. I This store makes me love it. You just get all the feels, all the joy! It's also HUGE and a lot to take in. Half of one shop is a personalized section where you can get your name on any of the ornaments. The other half has alllll the Christmas items you can dream up! My best find? A bottle of ranch dressing ornament! Yes. Yes Yes. Everyone who knows me knows that this midwestern lady requires ranch for many foods -- fries, pizza, wings, chips from the south bend haciendas (IYKYK), etc. My best friend even got me a notebook that said "things to dip in ranch." It's a real love story. Go find your ranch ornament!

How is it possible to not love this wonderful shop? Decorations everywhere! They don't make it if you can't find it here. Really, there is so much Christmas merchandise at one place!

Ornaments, ornaments everywhere! There are so many Christmas ornaments and Christmas decorations, it's overwhelming. You need to give yourself a good half hour, at least, if you want to properly look over everything. The store knows you'll probably be there a while, so they planted a coffee shop right in the middle of everything. They also sell gigantic cookies and baked goods, chocolates, fudge and other desserts. There are a few tables where you can sit, drink your coffee or hot cocoa, and ponder how many ornaments you'll be leaving with. Santa comes to visit on certain days and hours throughout the year, so be sure to visit when he's there if you want to snap a picture with him!

I have been on the hunt for a rare Christmas village collectible made by department 56 and came across this store on line. The good news; I found it at this store; potential bad news; this is a seasonal store that wasn't open yet. But wait! I sent message to business through FB messenger and asked if I purchased item on line, would it be sent. They got back to me immediately with YES! I ordered and it arrived within a few days! Customer service is hit and miss these days, but I'm so happy this place is a hit! Will order from them again! Thank you!

Cute town, Santa Claus Indiana. We were driving to Colorado saw the signs for this shop. Since I collect Santas we decided to stop. Had no idea the whole town is set up for Christmas. Cute shop with all kinds of Christmas ornaments, decorations, ceramic Christmas Trees. Helpful staff. I added to my Jim Shore collection of Santas from around the world.

I absolutely loved this store. This store is huge and they have everything u can think of Christmas related. If you're looking for a special ornament this is the place to go. They also have tons of nativity sets and more items to add to your exciting nativity scene. They have a little shop towards the back of the store where they have fudge, coffee, hot chocolate, trufffles smells so good. I was amazed by this store I felt like a kid all excited. We picked out a cute ornament and we want to go back every year to to get a new one for our tree this will be our new tradition.

Neat place! We stopped on the way back from Thanksgiving in Kentucky having never visited before. I told the teenagers they could each pick out a new ornament for the tree. In theory, we should have left there with two ornaments. Somehow that turned into five. I am not sure how that happened but each one is cute and significant to us in some way. I liked the personalization options and the fact they were included in the price. Given that fact, I would call their prices reasonable. Also, thanks go to the woman in front of me in line who handed me their local newspaper which included a 30% off coupon.

Anyone need ornaments in July? Well this is your place! They have just about every type of ornament you can think of. Prices are really high, but I guess you need to charge a lot to stay open all year for Christmas. I was sad they didn't have many ornaments for the town.

I bought a few ornaments and a souvenir t-shirt. This store is huge and quite lovely. My only complaint was the price. It was pretty expensive. Most of the ornaments were $7.00+. I think they are worth it because they have unique items but be prepared to spend at least $20.00 in this store

We stopped in to visit Santa. The kids really loved that. The chocolate chip cookies here are fabulous! We bought three for $5. I also got a mocha with whipped cream that was really good too. This is a Christmas store so don't expect anything else. They have a really good collection of fun and interesting music boxes. We like turning them all on and watching them. I just wish I could afford one to take home!! They have one that is $8,000.00. Don't touch!!

This is a store full of Christmas decorations. So if you needed more candles for Kwanzaa, this would not be the place to go. It is a cute little shop, just full of ornaments and nicknacks. It is a little bit pricey, but I suppose that as a novelty shop, it can be. They have a ton of really nice ornaments. I bought an old timey hand blown lobster which I am still excited about. There is a pretty convincing Santa who sits in a little room in the back for pictures, at a price. There are also some absurdly overpriced Santa statues for sale running upwards of 4k in some cases. They have a counter selling fudge and a huge assortment of those ceramic Christmas village houses. This place is a little out of the way and a little pricey, but the staff is friendly and they have a lot of Christmas stuff.

My in-laws live nearby and I was dying to see what all was here. I was disappointed when all I found was ornaments. I was really hoping for more Christmas decorations. If you just want ornaments give it a go, otherwise, it was not worth stopping.

Very nice store, I did buy some ornaments. Was very nice to browse, but I found the prices on most of the decor to be very high. I would have bought more if I thought prices were closer to within reason. Was wondering if they just marked prices up because we were actually there in the season of Christmas and it most likely the best traffic they get all year. It seems like whenever and whereever we travel, hubby and I seem to find year-round Christmas stores. Our extensive inventory of holiday decor would prove that as well. For some reason we lived within two hours of Santa Claus, IN for three years and never visited this cute little town... but recently we visited a resort nearby and opted for a different route home and stopped in. This town has of course the tremendous Holiday World and Splashin' Safari, so most folks who visit the town are probably there for the rides. On the year-round Christmas store front.. this place is nice, but I was hoping for more from a town bearing St. Nick's name. It's not small, don't get me wrong, but Pigeon Forge's Incredible Christmas Place has them beat by a mile... and we've visited larger stores I can recall near Wilmington, NC as well. Again, it's nice - I was just hoping for more. Their in-house Santa is excellent, and their cafe is always baking cookies and heating cinammon nuts, both of which we had to purchase of course. There were some nice decor pieces I considered, some of the best-looking fake candles I've seen anywhere - but they started at $45 for a medium size votive. They have a nice selection of Mr. Christmas pieces, some of which I had never seen before - but we are so lacking on tabletop space during the holidays I resisted. The store is located in a strip mall, which is too bad - they really could have done so much more in an old house or someplace that looked like an old house. The town has an inn across the street that again was just not cute, considering everything they could have done for Santa's Inn in Santa Claus, IN. What I will continue to do is have my Christmas cards cancelled in their post office. They do a lovely hand stamp that is different each year, and a nice tradition for our friends and family.

Been coming here for the last 4 years. But normally during the Christmas season. Had a nice little chat with Santa Claus and we plan to come back the first part of nov to get a family photo with him. Maybe a start of another new family tradition! Get customer service big selection of Christmas stuff.

We stopped and stayed at the Rudolph Campground and then my husband let me go look in the store. I didn't have much time, si I bought the little Cottage ornament the had the Christmas store on it. When we stopped that night in our motorhome, and my husband put the pop-outs, my sack with the ornament was caught in between the poo-out and the trailer, and smashed it! I would like to get another one, wondering if I can order one on line?

Cute ornaments but there wasn't really any other decorations. The employees were helpful once you approached them otherwise you were on your own.

This is a great Christmas Store and not as crowded as the Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge. The people who said it was only ornaments didn't discover the main part of the store. There are lots more ornaments, a room of nativities, a kitchen accessory room, garland room, tree skirts, lots of Dept 56 villages, and more. The prices are reasonable. You can't expect to pay Walmart prices in a Christmas store!

Lovely store with a wonderful Christmas ornament and decoration selection! They have Santa in the store for pictures, and several different activities planned for kiddos. However, the employees could definitely benefit from some Christmas cheer...

If you are a fan of Christmas decorations you have to make the detour off the interstate and check it out.

Ordered a Tree ornament on 12/1 as a gift for the annual family tree trimming. Tracking number from UPS gave a delivery date of 12/8. Tree trimming was going to be on 12/9. On 12/7 UPS updated the delivery date to 12/11. Needless to say it was not here when promised. Store should make buyers aware that items may not be delivered when promised and offer alternative delivery methods. 2 emails to the store went unanswered.
