We booked the Santa Croce Boutique Hotel on the basis of other positive TA reviews and the location and were not disappointed. We had an absolutely wonderful 4-night stay in this charming Venetian hotel, and while the accommodations were wonderful - we booked the Suite, room 108 - it was the staff that really made our stay. We were greeted by Martina and Roberto (front-desk Roberto, not to be confused with barman Roberto) and they were both unfailingly polite and helpful. ||Barman Roberto furthered our experience that evening with some fantastic libations for aperitivos, followed by local amaros and fantastic espresso for our nightcaps (as well as tips on sites less traveled, including the Chiesa si San Pantalon. Here he told us we would find artwork on the ceiling, the "Martyrdom and Glory of Saint Pantaleon" which appears to be one giant frescoe but is actually comprised of 40 canvases joined together, and is considered the largest in the world). ||We enjoyed meeting Franco and the Resident Manager, Paolo. We unfortunately did not get everyone's name, but the staff serves a very nice breakfast and greeted us very warmly each day. If we could give the Santa Croce Boutique Hotel and its staff 6 stars we would!

My wife and I stayed here in September 2024 and it was a fantastic experience. We had the room with the rooftop terrace. I attached a picture from their website. We thought about sitting there in the evening with drinks and snacks but just too much to do and never got back early enough to enjoy. ||||Hotel is a few minutes walk from Rivia Di Biasio waterbus stop which can pretty much take you anywhere. I liked that it was further away from the crowded San Marco area but close enough to walk to and exploring Venice while walking is half the fun. There were still lots of good nearby restaurants. My wife claimed to have the best Gelato at Gelateria Alaska nearby and we absolutely loved stopping at Bacaro Quebrado for Venetian Spritz in the evening. Both are just a couple of minutes from Santa Croce. ||||Breakfast at hotel was excellent with lots of choices. Coffee, espresso, Cappuccino are freshly made to order. On 2nd day I learned to order two right away because it can take a while if they are busy. :-) Staff was super friendly and helpful. They never seemed to busy to talk to us or offer us an espresso. I love that about smaller hotels. ||||If you have maneuverability issues the rooftop terrace room may not be for you. You will need to climb stairs to get to the room and a small spiral staircase to get to the terrace. The mirror in the bathroom is too low for anyone over 5 feet :-). Not an issue for me but its due to the slanted ceiling from the roof. We had some minor issues with the shower staying on. I had to use one hand to hold the button on the last day. They said it had something to with water pressure and the third floor but they were going to fix it. ||||If / when we go again, we would definitely stay here again. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Our stay at this hotel in Venice was simply mesmerizing. The staff were exceptionally cordial and helpful, ensuring a warm welcome from the start. The rooms were wonderfully maintained, with artistic and elegant décor that captured the essence of Venetian charm. Breakfast spread was delightful, further adding to an already perfect experience. I wish I could award more than five stars or stay longer. Definitely a place worth considering for an unforgettable Venetian retreat.

Our three-night stay at the Santa Croce Boutique Hotel in Venice coincided with my father's 75th birthday. The hotel workers were really kind and helpful, and our rooms were always pristine. What actually made our stay unforgettable was the amazing surprise they planned for my father's birthday morning. As we sat down for breakfast, a server appeared carrying a beautifully adorned cake and a bottle of champagne. The hotel's tiny, intimate setting, along with the staff's genuine compassion, made you feel at home. The fact that a boutique hotel can produce such long-lasting memories demonstrates the power of little gestures.

We absolutely loved our stay. The front desk were incredibly helpful, even booking reservations for us, including a no-obligation trip to a Murano glass factory. The room is just beautiful, and we loved the location, just gave us enough of a walk to the main tourist area (20 mins) while staying away from the crowds. We would recommend in a heart-beat. A special callout to Roberto, Riccardo and Martina, thank you for making our trip memorable!

We spent just a single night in Venice and the Santa Croce hotel was a simply beautiful surprise: it was above and beyond any expectation! All the staff we met were extremely friendly, professional and helpful: they were always able to anticipate our needs and provide support or a solution. Starting from the lobby, the place is warm and welcoming with attention to the smallest details (top class home fragrances, for instance). The location is quite, very easy to reach from P.le Roma and, at the same time, out from the crowded tracks. Great design, with Venetian-style reminders, our room was stylish, comfortable and extremely clean. Perfect lightning, large bathroom, glass shower with chromotherapy. Complete choice of meals for breakfast. Thank you very much. We will book again with Santa Croce for sure on our next trip to Venice!

Wow! Outstanding boutique hotel in a quiet section of one of the most fabulous cities in the world. Very comfortable bed and well appointed beautifully decorated room. Great bathroom with a large shower and abundant hot water. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff with high end service. Nice outdoor space but we couldn’t take advantage of it because of rain. Highly recommend.

Fantastic hotel with the best staff. Roberto and Marco and all of the staff made our time in Venice fantastic. I apologize I can’t call out all the breakfast crew and team for our great stay. Beautiful hotel out of the bustle in Venice. Would definitely stay there again when we come back to Venice. Thank you all for a great end to our Italian vacation.
