Santa Croce Boutique Hotel

We had a fantastic experience at the Santa Croce Boutique Hotel. There were a slew of highlights:|1. The reception staff was A+. Friendly, thorough, patient, and kind. Guided us well without ever making us feel any question was too simple for them. Special kudos to Matteo who greeted us on a late evening arrival and helped us several times. We also met the hotel manager who was a pro and very courteous. |2. The breakfast team was A++. They were service-oriented, smiled and asked what we needed, prepared delicious made to order eggs and variety of coffees without complaint, and generally left us feeling very pampered.|3. The location is ideal - we took the Alilaguna to San Stae and walked in the night (about 12 mins) no problems. The hotel itself is in a very quiet almost residential area. Pharmacy, supermarket and all very close by. It was away from the bustle of Rialto yet only a 15 min walk to the Rialto, Dorsadero, and every place. The vaporetto stop for exploring is Riva di Biasio which is about a couple of hundred meters away.|4. The hotel has a lovely protected garden with comfortable chairs and tables. Great for the breakfast and for just lounging between explorations.|5. The room was fine. It was not huge by US standards but had a (no charge) minibar, good AC, and a very comfortable bed.||We travel a LOT so I feel we have some judgement on hotels :_) This one was well above expectations for us. 5-star treatment and location.

My son and I came for 2 nights, without meals. the location is great. We rented a superior room for 2 and they upgraded us. The bathroom facilities are new and spotless throughout our stay. The courtyard is also quiet and pleasant. Most importantly, the reception staff went out of their way to give us a pleasant experience. If I come to Venice again, I have no doubt that I will stay at this hotel.

I LOVED this hotel. I stayed closer to St. Marks earlier in my trip and was delighted to spend my last night in Venice here. Immediately, the service I experienced at check-in was superb. The room was beautiful and large. The area surrounding the hotel quiet and lovely. I only wish I had more time at this hotel.

The location was great. It was close enough to all of the places we would want to get to, but not in the thick of it. Perfect for if you eat a big dinner and want a 20 minute walk back to digest. This hotel had the best service ever! During check-in, they gave us a map and recommendations of where to go. The room was spacious and we had a cool upstairs in our room. The patio was a nice place to relax and the women at breakfast were so kind to us. They opened breakfast a little early so we could eat before we caught our next train. The only minor things that I could suggest for this place would be a ledge above the sink to put things since there isn't a lot of sink space and a full length mirror somewhere. Other than that, it perfect and we would definitely come back again. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Venice!

Easy to find hotel in a perfect location. Great welcome by Matteo, who showed us on the map where to walk and get Vaperettos. Lovely room with high quality decor. Breakfast was excellent and all high quality products.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! My husband and I just spent 6 nights at this beautiful gem of a hotel! I can't even find the words to express how beautiful the hotel is and how great the service was! It's in a beautiful quiet neighborhood that is still in walking distance of all the sights. It was our first time in Venice, and we couldn't have picked a better hotel. The breakfast buffet had enough variety for everyone, and the coffee and tea were fabulous. Let met talk about the service, I have been all over the country and different hotels and have never received the level of service that we received. The standout was Ricardo, anything we thought we needed he took care of it! I just can't say enough about Ricardo and all that he did to make this a trip of a lifetime! The entire staff was fantastic! The room was so beautiful, and they kept everything clean daily. If you are thinking about traveling to Venice, do not hesitate to check this hotel out, you will not be sorry. Thanks again for everything Ricardo and staff!

Fantastic location and the staff is super helpful, especially Marta. She helped us plan our visit in Venice and made sure we had a great stay! The breakfast is also very plentiful and delicious.

We traveled as a family of 4 in March 2025. The moment we arrived Roberto went absolutely above and beyond for our family and scheduling needs. The hotel was charming, walking distance from train and beautifully maintained. We will definitely be returning to this amazing hotel.
