Santa Fe Biscochito Company Coffees and Creamery

I heard about New Mexico's state cookie the biscochito before our road trip. From reviews, this seemed to be the best place to get them. I got a bag of a dozen, and as I'm driving across Texas eastbound, I greatly regret not getting more. This is probably the best cookie I've ever had. I usually don't like the flavor of anise, but when paired with butter, cinnamon and sugar it imparts a nice, subtle floral note. They're sort of like a cross between shortbread and a snickerdoodle, but even that description doesn't do it justice. Be sure to put this place on your list!

I believe this great little company is new since our visit to Santa Fe a few years ago. Wow, what a place! The owner is kind and proud of his work, I can tell! You must come here on your next visit or if you live nearby. There is a sweet (no pun intended!) seating area where you might visit with friends or have some "me time". We bought the house specialty...biscochito and they tasted sublime.

We saw this super neat spot listed on a tv ad while getting ready to checkout of our hotel room about .5 miles up the road so thought we would check it out. Let me just say, 5 stars is just not enough for the service, coffee, food, and biscochitos. Oh boy, we should make time to talk about the biscochito ice cream but the coffee, and food too. Richard, introduced me to the very famous local pinon tree nut and even indulged me in a short history lesson on them while showing me a very premature tree right outside of this amazing little establishment. I am visiting Santa Fe for the first time and while out on my morning walk came across this quaint and pleasantly quirky little coffee shop just as it was opening. I was greeted by a young man wearing a smile who took my order for a Flat White (double shot Expresso and foam) along with a sesame bagel (toasted to perfection) and cream cheese. Both were very good! Hats off to Richard and crew, keep up the great service!

Spotted Biscochito on Santa Fe Foodies and had to give it a try. Glad we did! The place is cute, Richard is the kind of friendly that makes you want to stay and chat, and the bagels? Chewy, flavorful, and made without the usual overly processed stuff. 🥯👏 The biscochitos were a total win, and the coffee was exactly what we needed. We’re officially hooked. This place is a gem, and we’ll definitely be regulars.

Stopped in for the first time today and was so pleasantly surprised! The guy behind the counter was really chill but friendly and conversational, and continued to be so even when it got kind of busy. It was a fun little place to hang out, too, as there was a comfy (albeit fake) fireplace and nice couch/chairs in addition to cafe tables, and pleasant decore. Definitely planning to go there next time I have to meet up with someone for coffee or spend an extended period in a cafe.

Biscochito’s almost as good as grandma used to make. I like the Red Chile ones. You can also grab an easy dozen to gift to your friends back in the world or to show your new girlfriend how it’s supposed to be done. Tell Richard I sent you.

This place was amazing! We loved the red chili, green chili and traditional Biscochito cookies. The green chili breakfast burrito and green chili bagels were also fabulous. Loved the cappuccino and can’t wait to come back to try the hand mixed ice cream. Richard, the owner was very entertaining and educational about all that they do. This is a true gem of Santa Fe.

A MUST stop by for the authentic New Mexico state cookie! I was introduced to Biscochitos during my first Santa Fe visit by an Uber driver who handed me a home-made batch. These cinnamon, rich cookies are delightful. They also have some more savory options- including green, red, and Christmas chile. I tried all three- I think the Christmas was my favorite. They make excellent gifts for friends back home, too. I bought a few 12-pack bags home and they stayed fresh a few weeks out. Last but not least- the staff is SOOOO kind and friendly. :)

The kind of place that reminds you why small matters. No pretense. Just damn good coffee, a killer biscochito, and the kind of owner who makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. The biscochito isn't just a cookie -- it's New Mexico in a bite. Bold. Unexpected. A little nostalgic - like something your grandma would've made if your abuela was a chingona.

The staff were friendly, especially the manager who was super nice - I didn't request to meet with him, he was just present and checking in on customers. I ordered ice cream and a cookie, which I ate inside. The interior was nice with comfy chairs. Both were delicious and I decided to buy a package of cookies for later. Highly recommend!

The whole shop is completely amazing. The biscochitos were probably the best I've ever had - don't tell my mom or grandmas. The owner was an absolute delight. I love this cute shop and will return. We had cookies right out of the oven. Heavenly!

A cute neighborhood ice cream shop with nice casual fun sitting area, parking and walking distance from downtown. They have limited menu which is awesome as they do spectacular job creating master pieces Staff is attentive & courteous and make good recommendations. Kids loved mint flavor ice cream ( no green color/ dye) and i had pinenut (chingon pinon) Great experience and recommemded to visitors. Dont forget to try new mexico special bluefly farms infused water that is sold at exclusive locations including Biscochito

We were visiting Santa Fe from Denver and I had to make my friends eat biscochitos. I grew up eating them and they are always a staple in my family around Christmas. The person working the register ended our convo with "I hope they're as good as Grandma's". I truly hate to admit this but... they were so much better. Please don't tell her.

My cousin and I wanted to purchase a bag of these cookies and the store was closed but the owner, who had just closed for the day, opened the door and graciously welcomed us in. I would highly recommend this bakery!!!

The biochips are delicious and authentic. My husband ordered a latte and it was excellent! The best part is the service is friendly! We were served by the owner and had a wonderful experience.

The ice cream is hand made and hand mixed with your choice of flavors. Would recommend the Biscohitos ice cream. Delicious!!

This place is awesome! Talked to the owner, and he just opened 5 weeks ago. He definitely needs a few extra workers to help him speed things up, but the ice cream and cookies are to die for. The Biscochito cookie flavor is spot on and so cute. The ice cream is hand made while you wait, and packed with literally SO much flavor. This is a great place, and even offers coffee as well. Definitely recommend! Cherry bomb rocks! That's what I got but you must get a Santa Fe cookie.

Made to order delicious ice cream and excellent drip coffee. We had the chocolate piñon drip coffee, 2 original biscochitos, and ice cream--biscochito and piñon. Lots of seating inside, the owner is extremely friendly and passionate about his new business--don't miss this place!

Terrible customer service. Do not give these people your business. I made a purchase and was only parked in the lot for 15 minutes. Not sure what is wrong with this guy but I feel bad that he doesn't know how to run a business. Very sad.

We came in for ice cream and were not disappointed!! I was a bit hesitant since there were only three reviews, but this place is very new. I got the cherry bomb and my son got the lemon blueberry cheesecake; they were both amazing. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the interior was sleek and modern. The cookies and donuts also looked good, as did the drinks.

The Java chip ice cream was divine and the lounge was a delightful space I am spoiled by fine ice cream in NYC but this was great stuff

Wherever I travel, I go to many local coffee shops. This is one you have to try. The atmosphere is wonderful. It's clean, and all the furniture is nice and well kept. There are plenty of tables to sit with your laptop and enjoy the delicious coffee and Biscochito cookies. He even has books here for you to read if you so desire. I absolutely love this Santa Fe Biscochito Company. The vibe is great!! Thank you.

A great local startup that locals and tourists all should try. One block from Cowgirl restaurant, shopping and worth the small effort to get this local unique take on ice cream. The NM Biscochito cookie combined with ice cream is a twist that should not be missed. There is parking in front and the vibe inside is so welcoming.

Amazing new spot in downtown Santa Fe. We love this place!!. The company used to run a cart on the plaza and finally moved into a brick and mortar. We previously used them to help cater desserts for our wedding, which turned out phenomenal. Great biscochitos, ice cream flavors, and bright atmosphere. The owner and staff are super nice. My go tos are the red chile cookie and an ice cream sandwich.

Great stop for a biscochito and Java chip ice cream. They were delicious! Enjoyed chatting with the owner as well. So glad they're now open until 6pm!
