I can’t say enough positive things about this resort. It is impeccably clean, the beds are so comfortable, the staff is extremely attentive, and the location is great. This is the 2nd year in a row we stayed at this resort, and I would love to come back next year. We brought our 2 teens with us and they live Santa Maria just as much as we do. They love the muffins, pool slushies, and ice cream. The pool is fun but not a party pool. Happy hour was our favorite place to be from 4-5:30. Incredible resort and I’m quite picky. Thanks for everything, Santa Maria!

This was the 3rd time staying here at Santa Maria Suites. We love everything about this place . It's very clean. Housekeeping comes everyday and straightens up your room. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds and pillows are so comfy too. The rooms have everything you would need if you choose to cook. They have a full size kitchen with pots and pans, utensils, blender, k cup coffee maker, sharp knives. The 2 pools are very nice and kept clean. There is not one negative thing I could say, you will love this place too .

Stayed with my parents to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Beautiful and luxurious accommodations. Fresh muffins, coffee pods, and chocolate delivered daily to enjoy every morning! Excellent housekeeping staff who were always responsive to our needs. Very professional!| Matilda in reception was amazing and had answers to all of our questions. She also provided great recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. She always seemed pleased to see us and greeted us each day with a welcoming smile and warm words. Yyilfredo was an awesome bartender at the pool. He was always friendly and happy, and he remembered us and our drink preferences each day! He was always moving, providing quick, friendly, and efficient service to everyone at the bar and around the pool deck! We had a wonderful stay, especially because of Matilda and Yyilfredo’s exceptional customer service and the care taken by the housekeeping staff.

We have been to Key West many times, this is our third time staying at Santa Maria Resort and is the only place we will stay when there. The rooms are extremely well appointed and perfect for two couples or family. walking distance to just about everything. This trip was special for us we brought our 16 year old Grandson for his birthday. Matilda was working the front desk while we were there and was over the top accommodating getting us reservations for snorkeling and dinner/breakfast suggestions. She represents the hotel to the highest of hospitality standards. If your looking for a great place to stay while in Key West, Santa Maria Suite is the place!

Girls trip - our stay was terrific. Thank you Azul and Matilda for great restaurant recommendations. It was a pleasure meeting you both. Our suite was clean, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the balcony every morning and night and the pool was perfect at the end of the day, including happy hour. The muffins were delicious and the Dove minis were a nice treat at night. Would highly recommend staying at the Santa Maria Resort.

We were fortunate to return for a third time to Santa Maria for a multigenerational family vacation. The accomodations are five star but the staff is even better. Matilda greeted our family like well known friends and had excellent recommendations all week for new to us food options and activities. The housekeeping staff are hard working and ensured we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. The team is efficient and accommodating. The grounds staff keep the pool area immaculate and the gardens beautiful. Wilfredo served up beverages, snacks, and genuine smiles all week; he truly made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Shanieka was kind enough to take time from her day to show me their sister property, H2O suites, another beautiful property. We look forward to returning again!

We had a wonderful time at the Santa Maria Suites. Azul at the front desk was incredibly helpful and welcoming. She helped us with restaurant recommendations and every question we had while in Key West. The hotel was super clean and nice. The muffins, ice cream and slushies by the pool were also a nice touch! We will absolutely stay here again on our next trip!

Google
Great place to stay. Will, the bar tender, at the pool bar was very accommodating and entertaining. The entire staff did a great job and exceeded our expectations. Turn down service, muffins coffee pods and Dove ice cream bars every day. Very clean. Pool was very nice as well. We would definitely stay here again

Yelp
We stayed here for the second time in the beginning of November and think it's one of the best hotels on the island. It's away from the hustle and bustle but near the beaches and quieter side of the island (still walkable to Duval). The front desk staff are all the kindest people- they are always so helpful. The guy at the bar by the pool is funny and makes drinks quickly. The pools are both well maintained and the gardens are spectacular. We've stayed at both the town house like unit and the ground level one- both have their own pros and cons. Fridges and freezers are nice size and the washer and dryers work well. Muffins daily and free water are a fantastic touch. Units stay nice and cold and great shower pressure. We got married on the island and took our photos here before hand- staff was so accommodating and the area made a great backdrop for our big day.

Yelp
We stayed at the Santa Maria Suites for our two-night trip to Key West and had a fabulous time. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and great for sharing with friends. Five of us were very comfortable in the two room suite. We had a large sitting area and kitchen, as well as two bathrooms and king beds in the bedrooms. There were four balconies: one off each bedroom (though there were no chairs on these balconies), one random one off to the side (also with no chairs), and one large balcony off the main room that overlooked the lush pool area. The pool is awesome, with a small bar area where you can have free wine between 4pm - 5:30pm. There are plenty of chairs and lounges, and it just feels private and tropical. The location is just two or three blocks north of the Southernmost Point, with a deli and grocery just across the street so you can stock up on snacks and drinks for the suite kitchen. It's a far walk to the heart of Duval Street since all the action is literally on the opposite side of the island, but if you're looking for something quieter and more relaxing with decent space, the Santa Maria Suites are perfect for you.

Yelp
We loved the pool and the location of this resort. Comfy beds, washer dryer was awesome, unit was nice and quiet. Ana's cafe across the street for coffee and breakfast was 10/10. The hotel was having some fire alarm issues during our stay, but the management team worked through it the best they could. Tessica was working the front desk during the fire alarm issues and she handled herself very well with some angry/frustrated hotel guests. Adam was the supervisor working during this time and he also handled himself well. The general manager, Mark Bibb, was very reasonable and clearly takes pride in how he handles business at this resort.

Yelp
We planned a trip to Key West and decided to stay here. We had a two bedroom suite and it was so huge. Each room had its own balcony and the sitting area and kitchen were beautifully laid out, plus another large balcony with a view of the pool. It was definitely a plus to have a washer and dryer in the suite as well. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and it was so nice to have them turn down the beds and bring chocolates, ice cream, and muffins for us to enjoy! Would definitely recommend this hotel. Nikita was such a pleasure to deal with when checking in too! Very friendly and gave us lots of information about the city.

Yelp
My friend and I stayed here over 4th of July weekend and we loved it. The pool area is awesome. The bar tender brought popsicles, fruit and cold face towels around. It's very peaceful. Only thing that would make it better is if it was adults only. The room cleaning staff was awesome too. The suites were 2 bedroom apartments with their own bathrooms and a full kitchen. This was a cool surprise. In the evening the staff brought fresh muffins to the kitchen for the morning. I thought that was a great touch. They did a turn down service and left chocolates on our pillows. We had arrived several hours early too and they let us check in early which was really awesome. They don't have direct beach access here, but they do give you cards to get free chairs at South Beach a block over. However, it tends to get overrun with smelly seaweed. So we opted for the pool mostly. Everything is walking distance or a short Uber. There are a couple great eateries close by. They also gave us a welcome cocktail card for the tipsy rooster next door. You may also see a few resident iguanas hanging out by the pool. We got a kick out of them.

Yelp
Back again a year later! We enjoyed this hotel so much last year that we decided to come back again this year and everything was just as fabulous (although the weather left a little to be desired due to a storm front, that of course is something we cannot control!). We had a bi-level garden view suite this time around and enjoyed the same fantastic amenities and delicious muffins & Dove bars @ night. The only thing I wished I would have taken advantage of more was the happy hour @ the pool bar that I believe runs from 4-5:30 - great selection of delicious wines! (I only made it there one day sadly). Staff is wonderful as always - so helpful and friendly, willing to assist you with anything - Nikita especially was very helpful to us @ check-in and check-out.

Yelp
Just got back from 5 days at this resort. We had 3 rooms for 8 people. It was a great trip. Rooms are beautiful, clean and private. We had a 2 bedroom upstairs/downstairs suite. Kitchen, washer, dryer, wine fridge. Grounds are well kept and so much greenery. All the employees are very well versed in their jobs and so helpful and very pleasant (shout out to Matilda and Wilfredo as well). Rooms are kept very clean. Loved it, can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Santa Maria Suites in Key West left this sweet birthday treat with a Bottle Champagne and a bottle of Pino Grigio during this whole weekend they made me feel so special! I'm beyond surprised and feeling so blessed! I highly recommend if anyone comes down to the Keys to stay here ! Beyond 5 star treatment! 10 out of 10, Staff is wonderful. Each suite is facing beautiful swimming pools and lounge and bar! Great Happy Hour and so close to everything! I came to celebrate my 50th and it's was absolutely wonderful experience!

Yelp
Great place. The suite is beautiful. Very well appointed. Service is their top priority. Secluded inner courtyard pool area with bar. Definitely will come back here!!!

Yelp
This place is amazing!!. I booked a two bedroom, three bath, split level pool view room for my friend and I. It had two beautiful rooms with queen beds. The "master" had a huge walk in shower and pool view, while the other had your standard tub and no view, but was equally appointed. There was a living room area downstairs as well as a full kitchen. Mind you, there were very few plates or utensils and only one pan, so don't expect to cook a meal there unless you request more. They deliver muffins, mini dove bars , and water every evening. There's coffee and tea in the room as well There's a little convenience store right down the street so you can get odds and ends (very little selection, no eggs, bacon or bread) We found we had everything we needed there. Made for a light breakfast. We always had leftovers when we ate out so we'd go back for lunch and a cool down before going out for the evening. They so have a poolside happy hour daily with wine and beer (all free but remember to tip) The front desk service was great! Polite, knowledgeable, efficient. The maids were like ghosts, never saw them , but everything was always made up and stocked up. The pools are nice. Side by side. There's music all day but not too loud. Really, we couldn't of asked for more!

Yelp
We loved our stay here! So relaxing! Gray pool with Souther hospitality that included wine & fruit cups plus muffins! A quiet location within walking distance to all of the highlights of Key West! Perfect for 2 couples or a family. Great on suite with separate bedroom & bath. Sleeper Sofa! Updated kitchen & laundry room with an iron. It was a wonderful stay!

Yelp
Just checked in to this gorgeous hotel. Mathilda and Ray have been absolutely lovely! Our room is well appointed, clean and in the perfect location!

Lisa C.

Yelp
The location is great and the room was clean (thats the 2 stars). After booking I called to make sure we had a first floor room walk out to the pool since we had kids we wanted to be close. She guaranteed we did. When we arrived, we had a second floor room. She said she couldn't guarantee a first floor room and they never do. But then said they had first floor rooms still available but they were promised to other people. Doesn't even make sense but fine we took our second floor room. The second we walked into the room the smell of cigarette smoke was terrible. I went down to the lady and she said it shouldn't smell because no one was in it the day prior (doesn't even make sense). She said she would call maintenance but we never saw anyone and the smell never changed: The worst part of the hotel is the noise! The bar across the street has live music until the early morning and we all slept with ear buds and it didn't even drown out the terrible scream singing. If you smoke or don't mind the smell of stale cigarettes and don't want to fall asleep before 2am this place would work. People did note the muffins and the mini ice cream bars. Accurate and cute but would rather just buy my own and sleep and not smell like a left over cigarette for 7 days. Will buy my own muffin and stay elsewhere.

Yelp
We actually booked this place based on the reviews. It truly lived up to all the good things that have been posted. It is in a great location if you want to be in the heart of Key West but also enjoy some peace and quiet, one block away from Duval St. They only have 2 bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen suites. The pictures are spot on - the kitchen is beautifully updated with everything you need to stay in and cook a meal. We stayed in a 2 story garden view suite. There were 2 small balconies to get some fresh air and one large, poolside balcony with furniture. The rooms are a tad on the small side with a double bed, but the amenities and furnishings make it worth it. The only tiny con is that there's no elevator if your suite front door is on the second floor and you have trouble with stairs. If you have heavy luggage - the front desk will arrange for someone to help bring it up - there's several staircases to get to the bedrooms. There is a large, private parking lot on the corner of South St. and Simonton that is really valuable to have since parking is tough in Key West. Parking is $20 per day. They have bikes and scooters on site to rent. Complimentary waters and refreshments are provided at the pool. There is a tiny gym and a restaurant attached, Milagro, that serves really good food and cocktails. You also have beach access at another property around the block with chair service, unfortunately, we didn't have time to check it out. They provide turndown service every night and stock you up with muffins, chocolates and Dove mini ice cream snacks in the freezer! The front desk staff is so friendly and helpful. There's a great deli across the street with fantastic coffee and food - opens around 7:10am and the line starts early. You can walk to the beach and walk to almost any restaurants in town, within a 20+ minute walk. We can't wait to come back and would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a relaxing, fun trip on the "quiet side" of Key West.

Yelp
Beautiful secluded Resort with updated Euro-style furnishings. Service was warm, accommodating and gracious. Well worth the value.

Yelp
I've been to key west a few times and once I found this place there's no question this is we're I book It's fun to bring another couple the grocery store is right across the street so you can stock up your kitchen and the room and complex are beautiful I love the free dove bars and exactly the washer and dryer so I pack light

Yelp
This is a great spot to relax in Key West. The suites are huge - we stayed in a 2 level 2 bedroom unit (there are no 1 bedrooms). Very well appointed and modern features. We loved the full kitchen, multiple patios and extra amenities such as nightly delivery of muffins, chocolate, and mini Dove ice cream bars. The pool was great, especially the pool-side bar and nightly happy hour. One of the nice things about this resort is that it isn't huge. I figure it must have been a time share at some point. Its a little on the pricier side, so the clientele were a little more reserved. The only things that could have made it better is making it adults only. The location is convenient to the south side of Duval, but due to the heat (100 degrees and sweltering humidity), we used uber/lyft to get to the far end. I'd recommend.

Lisa W.

Yelp
This is my second stay at the Santa Maria Suites. It felt like I was coming home thanks to the staff - in particular Maltida- who took such great care of me and my family.  Matilda in a word is wonderful. She was super accommodating to ensure we had the best experience possible. I'll be back

Yelp
I would give a negative star if that was possible. My wife and I were to return to this hotel a couple of weekends ago. Very early on the Wednesday morning before our planned visit my wife was rushed to the hospital. Later that morning, when it was obvious that we would not make it down to Key West I called the hotel to cancel our reservation. I was told by the woman who answered the phone that it was too bad and I was going to forfeit my one night prepaid deposit, When I stressed that it was an emergency situation she gave me the e-mail address of Rafael Fernandez, to see what he could do. I promptly e-mailed him and received no response. On Saturday, I received a call from another woman at the hotel since we were a "no show." I explained the situation and told her I had called on Wednesday and that I had e-mailed Rafael Fernandez but received no response. About an hour later Mr. Fernandez e-mailed me politely explaining that I was out of luck. On Monday I called the management company and had a pleasent conversation with the CEO of the hotel's management company. He said he would have someone get back to me. CRICKETS! I feel that the curt responses and lack of consideration given to us is uncaring. Their callous disregard for a repeat guest is dispicable. We will never stay at this property again and will pass this story on to anyone who asks us for a hotel recommendations in Key West.

Yelp
One of the best places to stay in Key West! Rooms were. Little small but, nice and very clean. Great location, short walk to the main drag, world famous Duval Street! Little pricey or I would have given it 5 stars.

Yelp
This is an amazing hotel suite experience. Spectacularly clean. Fantastic customer service. Gorgeous suites. Just terrific overall. Worth the higher price.

Yelp
After trying to research a location with a suite I found very few options. We were traveling with my dad. All though we love each other I knew my dad needed his own room. So reservations were made for my husband, 12 yr old son , my dad and myself!!! Upon arrival we were pampered!!! The room and staff were absolutely amazing! We were a stroll away from most local spots! Hemingway House, Southern most point , Duval Street, and bit further Mallory Square! ( I would say it was a perfect location! Maybe considered quite end of Duval) Lisa the poolside bartender is an asset to this beautiful location. She cared for all of us including my 12 yr olds smoothie addiction for a week. She got to know us and made sure to stock our requests. She interacted with ALL guests. It was an absolute delight to watch her work Thanks for all your care while staying!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

Jacqueline B.

Yelp
This place was incredible and perfectly suited our family of five with split-level, two bedroom/sleeper sofa. Lots of perks - like ice cream bars, muffins each day and kids thought daily virgin strawberry or mango daiquiris were such a treat. Matilda hooked us up with a fabulous dolphin snorkel cruise through Dolphin Safari. She set my boys up with the most incredible fishing trip ever! She is happy to help with your planning and she's super knowledgeable. Location was just close enough to walk everywhere but not being in the middle of it. Oh and there's a fantastic bar right across the street - Tipsy Rooster. We will be back!

Yelp
This is my 3rd or 4th time visiting the hotel. I think over the years the hotel has taken a hit and instead of improving, it slowly but surely declined with both the amenities as well as customer service. For a $500+ a night, the bed sheets and towels look and feel similar to a two star hotel accommodation. The pool, although still nice, needs a renovation; tiles are moving, missing night light etc. The outside is also deteriorating; dirty chairs, stained walls, and unkept pathways. What really took a hit though is the customer service: zero appreciation from the front staff, no room service, and little to no effort to make sure the customer is happy. It did not feel like I was staying in a luxury resort which is what I believe it used to feel like. Overall a C experience and will most likely not come back. The resort lacks the common amenities such as a beach and hot tub as well but it was always like that so that should not come as a surprise. Currently you can find a better deal with better amenities for similar price.

Yelp
Hope all is well. I just want to thank you for an amazing week in Key West. It was truly special. I took my parents to Key West to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. We stayed from 10/12 through 10/19. First, the hotel and grounds are amazing. The rooms were spectacular and clean. Second, the staff was awesome. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I want to thank Matilda, Fran and the gentleman with the gray hair. You guys are the best. I travel a lot and have never written a letter like this. The staff at The Santa Maria is by far the best! Third, depending on how many people I visit with, I will never stay anywhere else except H2O. This was a trip to remember and the Santa Maria team made this possible.

Yelp
The Santa Maria Suites Resort is clean, comfortable and beautifully maintained. Jason rocked the pool bar with his awesome personality and attentive service. We enjoyed the complimentary water, wine, smoothies, muffins and dove bars. The rooms have balconies in addition to the main room balcony, full size living room, kitchen and laundry room. Our trip would not have been complete with the convenience of the bikes they had available for rent. I would stay here again and recommend it to all. Good for singles or families.

Karen W.

Yelp
The best place to stay in Key West! The rooms are so nice and spacious (with a full kitchen, two bedrooms/baths and washer/dryer in each unit), the pool (and happy hour) are awesome and the staff is super nice and helpful. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we come to the Keys! We come here a few times a year and will be lifetime visitors!

Yelp
Amazing resort. Great staff. Awesome suites. Quite end of Duval Street. Great place to chill. Definitely going back.

Yelp
My family and I (5 people total) stayed here and really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend it! We stayed here for a week total and it was extremely relaxing. There were 2 full bedrooms with on suite bathrooms which were extremely up to date and clean. I also loved how the couch downstairs turned into a very comfortable bed. My only complaint would be the cleanliness. The high traffic areas were very clean, but the cracks and crevices behind furniture, etc we're pretty filthy. I found wrappers, food scraps, and a lot of dust and dirt. It didn't really bother me because the average person wouldn't come in contact with any of it normally, so it was all good. I cant really complain though because no hotel is perfect and the janitors definitely don't want to scrape through the corners of every room when they have many other rooms to clean. I personally think that it is pretty worth it for the price. They gave us basically everything from soaps, pots and pans, cups, silverware, plates, and more. Overall, I'm glad we stayed here and the next time we're in Key West we will definitely be staying here again!

Calena D.

Yelp
Cannot say enough good things about this place! We will definitely be back! The staff was very accommodating, they had chilled champagne & glasses ready upon arrival per our request. They accommodated our early checkin and late checkout since they had availability. They were courteous & helpful to point out things to do & places to eat. The suite was more like a condo! Kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, 3 bathrooms, large closets and super comfy lounge robes. Everything was clean and the grounds were so beautiful and well kept. The balcony views were so peaceful. I would give this 6 starts if possible!

Yelp
Awesome hotel. Awesome staffs. Beautiful room and super clean. We stayed here two nights and loved it. The hotel is right by the beach which is very nice and a very short walk to Duval street and other tourists sites like the Hemingway house. The room we got was a two floor suite with a full kitchen and two bedrooms. And the kitchen had everything you need. Pots, pans, toaster, cups, glasses, even a blender. And our room had a washer and dryer. How cool is that? ! our balcony also was a very decent size balcony facing the pool. And the complimentary toiletries were high quality too. And we loved loved the complementary smoothies by the pool. Super super delicious and they had different flavors like banana, mango, strawberry and pina colada. All were delicious. And you can add your own rum in there to make it even more tasty. And they have complementary happy hour in the evening which they serve free wine and chips. Super good. And they also supplied suntan and sunblock by the pool for u. And they serve this banging cucumber ice water all day I also love that they come by each evening giving out some chocolate and dove ice cream mini bars and muffins. So neat Staffs were super friendly, shout out to Stephanie from the front for being extra friendly. And they let me check in at 12! And the free parking was nice too And may I add the cable was HD in quality. Super good. And we had 3 flat screen in just our suite. We love our stay here and would recommend this place to anyone visiting the keys

Yelp
Beautiful, comfortable suites. Stayed in both a poolview ground-level suite and a tribalcony bilevel suite. The best part of having the ground-level suite was that we could walk out directly to the pool, but the bilevel suite was not only larger (at the same price) but also had an extra bathroom. The suites are furnished like a home with all accessories and appliances you could ever need. Washer, dryer, kettle, toaster, blender, stove, sinks with disposal, silverware, and more. Definitely did not expect most of that, but they were much appreciated during our stay. Also there is ice cream in the drawer fridges and plates of real fruit to welcome you. Early afternoon some guy with a cart strolled into to our room and offered pastries and more ice cream (bite-sized chocolate-covered bars). Free smoothies at the pool (get the mango). Fitness room was disappointing -- it looked half-assed for such a good hotel. The service was top-notch. I lost my key at least six times (not exaggerating), and each time the lady at the front patiently and kindly issued me new ones. Thanks for putting up with me. Other notes: ~They charge $20-25 per extra person staying in suite. ~Free chairs at Barefoot Billy's two blocks west of Santa Maria. Just show them your key card. ~Bring one car per suite. We brought two not knowing parking was limited, but they were kind enough to make an exception for us and give us an extra parking pass.

Yelp
The Santa Maria Suites is one of the nicer multi room suites that I have stayed in. We had one of their 2 bedroom flat suites. Which is located on the first floor. The suites were very spacious and clean with a full kitchen that you can actually cook in. Don't plan on cooking gourmet meals here but you can get away with breakfast and lunches. I posted a couple pictures of the suite and the grounds around the pool area to get a idea of how well the property is kept up. Just a heads up for those of you use to staying in 4-5 star hotels. This is a very limited hotel in the area of amenities. The only restaurant on property is sushi. Yes it's very good but you can't eat sushi every meal of the day. There is no valet or bellman service and the parking is very limited. It looks as though they only have parking for 1 space per suite. They do have a limited bar at the pool with complimentary smoothies during the day and free happy hour from 4-6, wine and beer only. The staff here was very attentive to your needs. We were booked into the wrong room when we arrived but were quickly moved when the error was pointed out.

Yelp
One of the best hotel/resorts we've ever stayed at. We were at Santa Maria Suites for five nights, and we could not have chosen a better resort. Our vacation started by us showing up early, and instead of the staff telling us to come back when the room was early, Ken was super nice and showed us where to hang out at the pool and get free smoothies and water while we waited for our suite to get cleaned. Our pool "bartenders" included Kristen, Christie, and Jenya, all of whom were super friendly and helpful. We also chatted with Nordi a couple times, and he, too, was very nice. I've never had such a good experience with hotel staff as I did with Santa Maria. The location is perfect-- it's right off Duval Street, but it's the quiet end away from all the loud touristy businesses. But it's still a quick walk or bike ride to all that stuff (the island isn't that big, after all). We had two bedrooms, and it was a split level apartment. Although everything was squeezed kind of tight, we still had plenty of room, and it was nice having the kitchen on the first floor and the bedrooms upstairs. It also had 2.5 bathrooms, which was a nice surprise. They don't have too many guest rooms, so they are able to focus nicely on the rooms and guests that they do have. PROS: free smoothies all day at the pool, full kitchens including pots & pans & cutlery & more, happy hour from 4-5:30 that has free wine or pita chips & hummus, free Dove ice cream bars and chocolate bars delivered to your room daily, free local-made AMAZING blueberry or banana nut muffins delivered to your room daily, completely private pool area with plenty of chairs in the sun & shade, free sunblock at the pool, free wi-fi, and super nice staff. CONS: a few tiny ants in the kitchen, two nights we didn't get muffins delivered, the shower water pressure was super weak, and the beach access is a block away (but the beaches there are rocky and stinky, so we stayed at the pool the entire time). We had to struggle to come up with the cons above, and they weren't very bad at all. If you're only going to spend a few days here, I'd recommend Sunday thru Wednesday because the resort got packed Thursday thru Saturday. Overall, congratulations Santa Maria Suites for having an amazing resort and for helping us have one of our best vacations ever!

Yelp
Great hotel and resort with good location, superb rooms and a decent pool area. I stayed for a long weekend with a group of nine for a bachelor party and the resort was helpful in booking and accommodating us. I am only giving three stars because I was charged a nightly fee for additional guests, even though when I spoke over the phone to the service rep that I would be doubling up in beds and would have four or five people in each room. However my reservation only showed three guests per night, which was never intended to be the case. Awesome place, just wish I had not been charged extra for what seems like a paperwork error. That said, I would recommend to others...just be sure your paperwork is in order ;)

Yelp
Wonderful hotel!! In a great location away from the hectic atmosphere of Duval Street and Mallory Square. It was nice to leave the entertainment district and be in a quiet environment. While I wouldn't recommend Key West for a family vacation, if you do come with little ones, this is a great spot given the spacious rooms and full kitchens. We got a two story, two bedroom, two bath town home. Very clean and with all the comforts and accommodations you would want at home. The pool area was smaller, but perfect size for the community which is also on the smaller side. The service was wonderful! Everyone was so friendly and helpful!! While we don't anticipate returning to Key West anytime soon, if we ever did we would certainly return to Santa Maria Suites!!!

Yelp
This place was amazing! Had an awesome stay, and great service. I just wanted to give a huge thanks to Ray. I left my suit and a really nice jacket in the hotel room closet and thought it would be stolen or missing. Ray was able to find it and overnighted it back home to me for FREE. I really appreciate that and would 100% recommend this place if you are looking for a modern resort. Service is excellent

Yelp
I selected this hotel because it was ranked #1 on TripAdvisor, and was very pleased with my choice. From an architectural standpoint, the complex has a mid-century modern vibe, especially from the street (signs, lobby) and in the common spaces. The resort seems to have been recently built as a condo complex but now operates as a hotel; centered around a decent-sized pool with tons of chairs, and a bar with free smoothies! The small lobby was next to a highly rated Asian restaurant (although we never made it there). Our unit was awesome; 2.5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, with three balconies on a split-level floor plan. It had top of the line finishes, and a new, modern style. The location was great - near (but not on) a beach, and a short walk to the end of Duvall street. The price was very reasonable too. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Great 5 star hotel!!! This was our second visit to Key West. Based upon our previous stay at this hotel, we gave it another try. The hotel in some respects was better than our first time. The staff are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to ensure your stay is very pleasurable. Without a doubt, we will be back again.

Yelp
We just stayed at Santa Maria for the 5th time. That alone should tell you how much we love it there but let me tel you why....First of all is the clean and spacious (for Key West) rooms. Every unit there has 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms, full kitchen stock with utensils, and a stacker washer/dryer. Sure we could stay at less expensive places but we can justify the extra cost by the money we save by being able to buy food and drinks at the grocery store so we don't have to eat every meal out. We also don't have to pay the airlines for checked bags as we're able to brings fewer clothes and wash them half way through the week there. The star of the show this year was Tony the Pool Boy...ok, he's actually the front desk manager but he provided superior service by setting up our pool lounge chairs with towels each day, bringing the whole pool crowd occasional rounds of shots and attending to our every little need. We're already planning our trip back next year!

Yelp
We stayed here for our Family vacation earlier this month and it was great. Central location, beautiful, clean rooms and overall great service. We had a bottom floor room which was much roomier than the top floor rooms and easier to navigate with knee issues and kids! :) All of the front staff was friendly with the exception of one, and I wish I would have gotten her name (middle aged, brunette with a slightly harsh voice). She was not very friendly at all and wasn't as accomodating as the Manager, Karina and other staff--who were all fabulous, including the pool staff who were always helpful and friendly too. The nicest touches were the muffins, chocolates and ice cream they leave in your room every day! They also offer complimentary smoothies by the pool which the kids loved. Be sure to go to Ana's Cuban Cafe across the street...best Cafe Con Leche ever! And yummy food too. The sushi place in the hotel was not the best sushi ever, just FYI.

Yelp
Finding a place to stay in Key West isn't very hard as there are a ton of places there. However, choosing the right hotel that meet all of your needs is hard. We wanted to be close to Duval but not directly on Duval. We wanted to be on or within walking distance of the beach. We wanted a smaller hotel where the pool wouldn't be too crowded. We wanted 2 bedrooms with private bathrooms. Lastly, we wanted a full kitchen. Guess what, we found all of that and more at Santa Maria Suites. The hotel was clean and spacious. Our room was cleaned every day. We didn't have to ask for anything, everything was always restocked. There were always several bottles of water and clean towels. Every night they turned down the beds and left mini Dove Ice Cream Bars and delicious Homemade muffins. Every member of the staff was pleasant and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return in the fall.

Yelp
Beautiful, spotlessly clean, resort. Our two-room suite on the first floor was very convenient to the pool. Outside patio was a nice sitting spot in the shade. Staff was extremely professional and friendly. Reservation process was perfect. This is the quieter part of town, but still very close to several fantastic waterfront spots. We will stay here again.

Yelp
We celebrated my brother's 30th birthday in Key West and stayed at Santa Maria Suites. This place exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a 2-bedroom bi-level, and we absolutely loved it. The rooms are very spacious, and there's even a pull out couch for more sleeping space. We were given complimentary muffins, dove ice cream bars, and poolside smoothies throughout our stay. I believe happy hour is from 4pm-5:30pm, which includes free beer and wine (I'd mix the rosé wine in a strawberry smoothie). The pool was very relaxing and was a very short walk from our room. The resort is a 15-20 minute walk from the main bars on Duval Street. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a more upscale, peaceful place to stay.

Yelp
We loved our stay here and will come back in the future! The staff was helpful and nice. Matilda was simply THE BEST. We adored her. It's a small property away from the craziness of everything and is in short walking distance from the Southernmost Point, the Butterfly Conservatory and several wonderful restaurants.

Yelp
The absolute best value in Key West! I've stayed at the Pier House and Casa Marina and felt that they were very overpriced and overrated. Neither can not compare to the Santa Maria in any aspect. The customer service here was personal and phenomenal. Ken at the front desk was amazing and did whatever possible to make my stay more comfortable. The rooms were spectacular and are definitely some of the nicest I've personally stayed in. They were large, sparkling clean and super comfortable. I will continue to recommend this hotel to friends and family. If you're in Key West and are looking for a phenomenal place to stay, this is it!

Yelp
This the first time my husband an I have been to Key West, and as every traveler knows you take chances when booking your hotel as you never know what you will get. Well, the Santa Maria is absolutely wonderful. We had a two bedroom suite on two floors, a full kitchen and to my surprise the cookware was better than I owe at home. The washer and dryer was a great addition as well. Cleanliness seems to be a top priority as everything was spotless. The employees were great, especially Alex and Louis at pool side. The we not only personable but extremely helpful to all the guest, making sure that everyone was happy. The extra's like the smoothies, home made lemonade, muffins, etc were a great touch. A little goes a long way to make people happy. The only drawback was the pool bar, since we sent so much time by the pool it would be nice to have a bigger bar as well as longer hours. Tonight is our last night, we will be back as well as recommend to others.

Yelp
This is a great hotel to stay in key west. Rooms are very big and great for a a family. They have free smoothies and snacks at happy hour which is 4:00-5:30 pm and they have free wine and half prefixed beers. They had fresh muffins and ice cream bright to the room everyday and the the rooms at washing machine and dryer, dish washers, and a full kitchen. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were very nice with two showers.the pool was right in the middle of the complex, just a short 15 second walk from the room. One of the best places to stay in key west, walking distance from Duval street!
