Stunning architecture and home to the world’s largest silver Virgin of Guadalupe
Santa Prisca de Taxco is the crown jewel of Taxco. The Baroque architecture is breathtaking, with its detailed stonework and iconic twin towers making it a standout right in the center of the town. The interior is equally impressive, filled with ornate altars, intricate artwork, and a peaceful, reverent atmosphere.
One of the most unique features is the solid silver statue of the Virgin of Guadalupe, said to be the largest in the world. Standing six feet tall and weighing around 380 pounds, this statue is a true reflection of Taxco’s silver heritage and a highlight of any visit.
Founded in 1751, Santa Prisca holds historical and cultural significance, contributing to Taxco’s reputation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
An awesome experience, combining history, architecture, craftsmanship, and spiritual importance in one unforgettable visit.
