Santa's Hotel Santa Claus

The hotel is a bit older and dated - I’d probably rate it more like a 3-star - but the location is excellent! It’s rather close to the airport & there's restaurants, supermarket, and Burger King within walking distance. Check-in times are strict, which is I believe is fairly common for most hotels. But there's sofas available for you to rest. The customer service was fantastic (be it at the front desk or restaurant on the 2nd floor). The staff were friendly, attentive, and responsive! Breakfast was pretty good, and there was even a waffles machine! One thing I was concerned about: when we stored our luggage in the locked room, it wasn’t individually tagged, so technically anyone could have taken it - mistakenly or not. Overall, a convenient and comfortable stay.

Beautiful place at the heart of the city. Clean room nice food and friendly staffs. very accommodating personnel from reception, housekeeping to the restaurant. As we traveller in the coldest country we need to carry a little bit of big luggage with us. And as a little old somehow we need some assistance for a luggage. With that I just wanted to highlight the guy who works at the housekeeping for his generosity of helping us.(Jeo) His service of excellence is one of a kind. Very accommodating, smilingly and ready to help for someone who needed.

I am writing this review to warn future guests about an extremely unprofessional and unacceptable experience at this hotel. After checking out today, I realized that I had left a fully packaged caviar gift box in the refrigerator in my room. When I returned to the hotel around 3 PM to retrieve it, the front desk informed me that housekeeping had already thrown it away. Let me be very clear why this is outrageous: 1. This is a so-called star-rated hotel charging around 300 EUR per night, yet it apparently has no proper Lost & Found procedure. Nobody contacted me. Nobody tried to verify. They simply threw away guests’ belongings. 2. This was not trash. It was a complete, unopened, clearly valuable gift box. Any trained hotel staff should be able to recognize that this is not something to be discarded. 3. The front desk staff was completely unable to handle the situation. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told the manager was “not available.” Frankly, it felt more like no one wanted to take responsibility. 4. Given the circumstances, I have every reason to seriously suspect that the item was not thrown away but taken by housekeeping. The hotel provided no proof, no investigation, no explanation. 5. The final “solution” they offered? They handed me a business card and told me to email customer service myself. This is absolutely absurd. In any properly managed hotel, the manager should have proactively contacted me and handled this internally. This is not just a mistake. This is systemic mismanagement, lack of training, lack of accountability, and complete disrespect for guests and their property. A hotel at this price level behaving like this is simply shameful. I have stayed in many hotels around the world, and this is by far one of the most irresponsible and unprofessional experiences I have ever had. If you value your belongings, do not trust this hotel.

- Very good location in the center of Rovaniemi. Shops and restaurant within 2 minutes walk - We ate breakfast in the hotel everyday and there were many options. Not too busy. - Rooms are a good size, we had city centre view. Bathroom has a bathtub and shower - Parking garage has many parking spots available (costs 18 euros a day). - Friendly staff

Only a 30min transfer from the airport which is a godsend with 2 youngsters!The hotel is grand in Architecture and the rooms are clean and well furnished. 2 adults and 2 kids was 2 singles pushed together and a fold out bed for the kids which was more than adequate. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast however more tailored to the continental style, always nice to try something different and the kids had plenty for fruit and pancakes! The only real negative was the strict 3pm checkin especially when we arrived at 1pm after a 1am start we were ready to get to our room. Overall really good hotel

Being in a trip with a small group of tourists we had an accommodation for 2 days in the Santa Claus Hotel. This hotel is true a 4 stars hotel with a great room and bath. The breakfast we very good and all we need we have it. So if you come to Rovaniemi you can chose this hotel. At few miles is the famous Santa Claus Village and the hotel is very central in the town, and you will have anything what you want near. I recommend this hotel for its services.

Having just returned from lapland, couldnt wait to do this review. From the minute we boarded our TUI flight to lapland to arriving back at the airport to come home everything was amazing.|On the flight we had christmas music, games and singalongs, it made the flight go so quick. Onboard meal was good as well. Cabin crew 10/10. Once landing you are met by santas elves who direct you to your coach where there is another elf to escort you to your hotel, on the way you pick up snowsuits boots and socks. Once at the hotel (there is a luggage room if your room is not ready). You are met by TUI reps who take you straight in for a welcome meeting and you can book excursions with them too. The hotel is central to lots of shops, cafes and bars and while we were there they built an ice rink on a frozen pond.|Checkin was nice and quick and the staff were kind and polite throughout our stay. On reading a couple of reviews that said the hotel werent christmas well i dont know what they saw but there were xmas trees everywhere, inside and out they have even built a snow scene with lights in a table in reception.|We had a superior room which is big, the beds are really comfortable, it had a minibar which can be used as a fridge, kettle, tea,coffee,sugar but dont supply milk which wasnt a problem as there is a 24hr shop 2 mins from the hotel. Breakfast was the usual that you find aboard but the evening meal was poor, not much choice and only lukewarm so we ate out. In reception there are lovely gifts to buy. The hotel is in the town centre where the are lots of shops and cafes and nearby there are bus stops to santa claus village, (dont get a cab from the village as it cost us €40 but a bus was about €4.00 each or uber for about €20. The town centre is also very pretty with lots of trees all lit up. The TUI staff are in this lovely hotel every day to help.|We found everything you could need in this hotel and for that we have booked to go back next year. Santa Claus hotel is deffo a must

Spacious clean rooms, good location, restaurants all around. Happy to recommend. But staff could be a bit more customer friendly-our luggage was broken when we reached the hotel. We requested the staff there to help us to find someone to get it wrapped as we had to travel after 2d. The next day when we checked there,that staff in the reception had no idea about this.Finally we travelled back with the broken one-but was tensed. Since we all are coming from far off places for a short vacation there, the customercare should be more cooperative and communicative -at least when we are facing some problems.

Santa's hotel has a lobby bar area downstairs as well as upstairs. It's a great place to warm up if you're out in Santa's village and able to feel your toes and fingers. It offers a good selection of beverages and has a dine-in menu after about 4pm, and takes walk-in's. The menu offers meat and other selections of entrees for your liking. Staff is very attentive and kind. Highly recommend for anyone to drink or eat something. Should you need a taxi service, the reception desk is very helpful with this as well.

This was the best place we stayed while in Finland! The room was large, comfy, it had a couch, two twin beds, lots of pillows, air conditioning and a heater, a large shower, and a headed towel rack. I hung damp clothes on the towel rack and the clothes dried overnight (it was raining while we were there). The price was good, just over 100 Euros a night ($116 USD at the time), which is low for being in cities. It was conveniently located, with a 24-hour corner grocery (Kioski) just around the corner. There was a small pasty shop on-site and a restaurant on-site. The included breakfast was excellent, with Finish waffles and syrup, meats and fish, the boiled eggs were warm, there was a large selection of breads and fruit, milk and juice to drink, and excellent coffee. The staff were very good at their jobs; the coffee urn was checked on and changed quickly, when needed, tables were cleared, and the buffet was spotless. Our room was always made up quickly, and the front desk staff were friendly and helped me figure out my map of the city and the bus routes. It was a pleasure to return to Santa's Hotel Santa Claus at the end of the day. For my next trip to Finland, I intend to fly from Helsinki to Romanievi and spend the majority of my time there, hopefully once again at Hotel Santa Claus.
