Taste Wine Along the San Andreas Fault Line

"A mountainside, terroir-focused producer in Pescadero where winemaker-owner John Benedetti crafts terroir-driven Pinots and Chardonnays, often contrasted block-by-block (e.g., Split Rail versus Lester Family Vineyard). Tastings can be enjoyed in a historic 140-year-old barn at a working goat farm—where Harley Farms cheese is an added draw—and the wines reflect distinct expressions of site, soils, and microclimate." - Ray Isle

Charming barn setting for consistently well crafted wines. Outstanding cheese pairings are available here, the price of entry is significant but worth it, price is covered with membership to the wine club.

First, we enjoyed the wine tasting. The hostess was great, the cat "Trucker" added to the rural / farm ambience. The wines were very good also. We went with another couple (4 of us total), and ordered the "wine and cheese board" for our tasting. The cheese board was $30/person or $120 total. When we arrived, we received charcuterie board with 2 cheeses, 1 meet (SF salami), nuts and chocolate. We felt like the price of the board was excessive - would not order this pairing again. In fact, the price of the cheese pairing was the focus of our conversation, not the wine, the rest of the day. At the recommendation of the hostess, we walked over to the farm shop where they sold the cheese, nuts and salami which when we compared the cost in the shop vs the board, added to our disappointment of the cost of the cheese board. We called and expressed our concerns about the cost of the board, and the person promised to return our call, and did not. If you visit, enjoy the drive up or down the coast, enjoy the wine, beware of the cheese board.

Beautiful rustic barn setting for delicious wine tasting. Schedule ahead of time to site inside and have your wine paired with the local goat cheese and chocolate.

We had an amazing time here. From the rustic setting to the live music, to the outstanding (and very reasonably priced) wine tasting, to the kind and generous host.... nothing more you could ask. Strongly recommend.

The wine is delicious! And the staff are very kind. I showed up with a fresh wasp sting yesterday and not only did the employees show compassion but they helped me relax- the wine definitely helped. My dog got lots of love as well :)

The absolute best pinot noir and chardonnay made from Santa Cruz Mountains fruit. Drop in for a wine tasting or make reservations for the Harley Farms goat cheese pairing with the flight, you'll be in heaven. It's in a barn in a working goat dairy, so you'll get to see the goats, too!
