A Guide to Athens' Underrated Food Neighborhoods | Condé Nast Traveler

"On Agias Zonis, I go here for brunch: they have great cakes and a delicious trahanas breakfast bowl made with the ancient fermented grain product, and the scene is full of thirty‑somethings, dogs and kids sipping morning lattes." - Devorah Lev-Tov

It offers an unforgettable brunch experience, perfect for a relaxing meal with friends. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The food is simply outstanding. From the perfectly brewed coffee to the delicious variety of brunch dishes, every bite is a testament to the quality and care put into the menu. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are well-balanced, making each dish a delight. The service is equally impressive, with friendly staff who are attentive and always ready to ensure you have the best dining experience possible. Whether you're in the mood for a classic brunch or something a bit more adventurous. Highly recommended!

Very good food and personal. Value for money. If I have to say something negative, it's that it doesn't have a sign. My experience was at a random morning looking for brunch.

My partner (who's greek) and I come to Athens twice a year and used to buy coffee from you everyday (sometimes twice a day) while we stayed in Athens because your products are really good and the atmosphere was friendly and warm. We would also recommend your café to our friends and family because we loved your place. Unfortunately, during our last trip, we decided we wouldn’t come back to your café because I had two bad experiences with the same barista. When my partner ordered in Greek, we never had issues. When I came alone I would use the few words I know in Greek to say “hello”, “thank you”, “goodbye” and even to ask for the drink I want (a latte with oat milk). When I ordered alone to the said barista, she did not even replied to my hellos, she made me feel like I was not welcome, one time my cup of coffee was only half full (and I saw her empty the oat milk bottle, but not opening a new one to complete my drink) and the second time, I saw her take the almond milk instead of the oat to make my drink and I didn’t even dare to say something because she made me feel so out of place. I am a tourist, that’s a fact. And I can understand that it can feel annoying for Greek citizen to have so much of us, and that tourism is tiring. I really do. It is important for me to respect others, to be polite, and even to be friendly with the people I encounter. I do not need for people to like me but I do not understand the behavior of one of your barista towards me, and it felt unjustified. After 2 experiences like these ones, I do not have the heart to keep buying from you. That is just not the energy I want to share with the people around me. I do have to say however, that it does not apply to the other employees and other than this particular barista, we did have good experiences.

Very inpolite for no reason. Not even say hello or here are your drinks. Nor reply to hi - irrespective whether you are Greek or not ( seeing other comments from non Greeks complainng). A simple pancake came with 1 hour of delay ( with no warning) when we were already standing up to pay. No apology - their reply was just take it home to eat. When we complain we are told that we cannot complain about staff!? true there were many people but this is expected on a Sunday morning. really pity

One of the waitress is very unlikable. She wouldnt even reply « Hello » to you when you are not a native Greek speaker. She treats you very badly if you are not greek. It was definitely my last Time there. I would not recommend any tourist to go there except if you want to be treated like a piece of garbage. She even managed to mistake oat milk for almond milk in my coffee.

We had ordered two dishes for brunch. One of which they said would take 30 minutes, we said ok. We asked after 1 hr and they said it’s coming. We then asked again 30 minutes later and they seemed as if they forgot what the order was. I watched them try to confirm what the order was and where the ticket was, and they couldn’t seem to have any answer. We canceled and still paid our fare for a latte and juice.

Used to be good. I just got a yugurt with granola that was really really poor for 7 euros. And waited for an hour to get it. Seriously what's the point?
