Went here for a late lunch and it wasn't packed though there were no more tables on the outside nor near the windows but that's okay. We were looking forward to our meal the most anyway. We had some quesadillas and chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were a tiny bit spicy for us even though it's supposedly not spicy but I guess if you live in a country with 0 spice tolerance, you will feel the hear here, regardless though, the dish was delicious. The chicken wasn't dry and each bite is just full of flavor. I liked the quesadilla, the meat and the cheese were good. I wish there was guacamole because that was the highlight of this dish for me.

Google
My favorite cafe in Guanajuato for breakfast or brunch. Coffee is awesome, great location. Very warm & comfortable inside, plenty of seating for larger groups as well. There are actually a couple outdoor tables that usually take a reservation to book.

This restaurant in Guanajuato offers breathtaking views of the city and an excellent dining experience. The prices are very reasonable, and the dishes are absolutely delicious. However, during my visit, I was mistakenly given a bill from another table, which was higher than mine. While I’m not sure if it was intentional or just an oversight, I recommend double-checking your bill before paying to avoid any confusion. Despite that, I’d still highly recommend this place for its atmosphere and food.

I visited this restaurant with a friend for a late dinner. All the food here was great and delicious. The outside seating is on a small bridge that leads into the restaurant and offers a great view of the city.

Google
Place gets packed so plan accordingly, the food was soooo good. Staff was fast too, I didn’t get the balcony seats so I sat inside which was fine. I got iced coffee from Mexico to go with my breakfast which was the perfect combo.

One of coolest patio seating I’ve ever seen! We stumbled across this amazing cafe on an early morning walk and lucked out on the greatest seating for our breakfast. After we sat down, the place started to fill up fast. The food was really good and the people watching even better, definitely recommend giving it a try!

Google
First off. Moises was amazing. The review pevious to ourssaid he “looked mean” needs to learn to not stereotype as it was unwarranted. Now for the place. Great location and laid out well inside. The food. Holy hell was it good. The drinks. Fresh squeezed OJ. Coke lite IN A GLASS BOTTLE. Cappuccino per my wife was great. Previous review said there would have been an extra charge if paying via CC. That is false. We paid that way.

Google

Yelp
Food is good- nothing special however. The service here isn't the greatest. The staff is super friendly but it seemed like they were short staffed. They took forever to bring our drinks, food and even the check. Came here with my partner and my food was brought first and his about 10 mins later which I didn't appreciate. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately the service killed any chance of us ever coming back.

Yelp
We loved this unique cafe/restaurant. They have a large menu-something for everyone. They even have a vegetarian menu as well. The service was friendly but a little bit slow. So plan accordingly if you have a lot of plans for the day. The food was delicious. We would definitely come back!

Yelp
The food was delicious and worth every penny, certain meals have drinks included which is awesome. Quick tip make reservation if you want table on bridge.

Yelp
Many people recommended Santo Café to me. I love the tables outside for people watching. The inside of the restaurant is bigger than I thought it would be. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of my food or the service. I ordered the nachos and for me the yellow queso didn't work. It made them taste more like ballpark nachos, which I am not a fan of. I also didn't feel very welcome when I walked in. Some of the servers seemed almost annoyed which made me not want to go a second time. The menu is extensive and I'm sure there are some great food options in there. I think I just ordered the wrong thing.

Yelp
This was our first stop while visiting Guanajuato - and what a great stop it was! I had the huevos aztecas and they were as good as they looked! The coffee (latte) was perfect and the atmosphere was so picturesque too! We'll be stopping her for breakfast during every visit from now on! We took a street food tour and the guide confirmed that this place is a hit with the locals too!

Yelp
This place is good service is ticket then most in Mexico and the food is fresh. I ordered the torta and it was delish.

Yelp
This is an excellent cafe. We had smoothie, iced tea, quesadilla with veggies and guacamole, and a soy burger. The space is up a Callejon. It has breezy indoor seating and outdoor on a ledge. A good mix of traditional and "new". Fresh ingredients.

Yelp
Nice place to spend the afternoon. The staff is very friendly. The coffee place is on a second floor and has some tables on a small bridge. It started raining super hard but we could stay until the rain stopped. The environment is nice.

Yelp
Order the fajitas. They were good and came with a quesadilla instead of tortillas, so had to order a side of tortillas.

Yelp
Ine of my favorite restaurant im GTO. This picturesque cafe with outdoor sitting area by the famous bridge. You can have a wonderful view, people watching while enjoying your meal. The food is wonderful, well prepared dishes. Great for breakfast or lunch. The service is excellent, attentive and very courteous staff. And the price is definitely right. Highly recommended this place if you are in Guanajuato.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with a bridge at good location where you may take beautiful photos. The food are of great quality, good size and at good price. Excellent. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
There are so many great things about this place. The breakfast dishes we had were SO good. I had huevos gusto with scrambled eggs, salsas, beans, and I added chilequiles for an additional 10 pesos (great decision). You can also get it with chorizo, soy chorizo, or other options. Everything was just so, delicious. The breakfasts came with orange juice AND coffee. For a few extra pesos I upgraded to a latte and it was very good. I haven't even mentioned the seating area. You can sit on a little bridge-type area over the street below for great people-watching. There is indoor seating, too. There is wifi, but I didn't try it. The server was nice. Delicious food, great prices, and a view. Hard to beat!

Yelp
Cute place with a few seats outside with views of the walkways below. Food tasted fine, but fajita rice, meat and veggies were all cold, so not great. Enchiladas we're $75 and fajitas about $100.

Yelp
This is the first restaurant we went to in Guanajuato. It's highly recommended by our Airbnb landlord and the Lonely Planet. The view is breathtaking if you sit outside on the bridge, also a little bit windy but it's always better to have a brunch in the sun. We ordered omelette, hot cake, coffee (of course) and chocolate milk. Everything was fantastic. The blonde girl who served us is stunning and speaks good English. It's very hard to find English-speaking people in this town. It's a pity that they only take cash like most Guanajuato restaurants.

Yelp
Great food , excellent service! I would definitely recommend and would come again for brunch!!

Yelp
Meh, it's okay. I can see the appeal ambiance-wise if you are able to snag one of the few tables on the outdoor balcony, but there's not much that distinguishes it from inside. Service was okay, but staff wasn't the friendliest or most welcoming. The food was just okay -- My husband and I ordered nachos and two salads to share. Overall, it was a so-so experience, and given some other much better food and dining experiences we had in Guanajuato, I probably wouldn't return to Santo Cafe.

Yelp
Our group shared the banana split, limon crepe and the crepe filled with ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce aNd whip cream. The last one was my favorite the first was my second and. Didn't care for the limon. Friendly service and enjoyable decor . Free wifi too. :)

Yelp
The food is pretty good, not amazing. The Gao pasta is really good for the price. Chilaquiles are ok. But the wait time omg. Everything takes so long. The food took about 30 mins to come out and the check took about 10-15 mins to bring out. The waiters are ok, not the best service. DO NOT COME ON A SUNDAY MORNING/ afternoon!!!
google avatar

Yudi C.

Yelp
This place is beautiful. We came here for brunch. Food tasted good. Kind of Mexican style American brunch :)

Yelp
I had a milkshake and steak fajitas. They were both good. The outdoor seating, though undeniably charming over the bridge, was just a couple of padded stools. Service was fine, but not amazing. Overall the food was better than expected. Prices very reasonable. Large menu. They have wifi, though I didn't get a chance to test it.
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
Great view of Guanajuato and the price is right (70 pesos for an entree, orange juice, and coffee). I enjoyed the huevos aztecas, but the service could have been better. They didn't bring milk for my coffee for quite some time and took a while to bring the check. Still, for a brunch in Guanajuato this is the place to go.

Yelp
Cheap tasty and filling basic food. We ordered the pasta goa with chicken and mushrooms and arrachera de res fajitas. In terms of quality it was acceptable but not wow ... like something you would expect to get at a hospital cafeteria. Would recommend for hungry travelers but not selective eaters. Not much ambiance to speak of but fun modern music. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Nice "view" of an alley.
google avatar

Violetta T.

Yelp
High quality cafe-style food at great prices. They have Mexican food, pastas and veggie burgers. One of the best selections in Guanajuato for vegetarians at this cafe! Best chilaquiles ever! The red are tastier than the green and get them with avocado on the side! They also have a nice portobello mushroom veggie burger that comes with goat cheese and a delicious bbq sauce!

Yelp
This picturesque cafe was our first stop in Guanajuato. Unfortunately it was raining that day so we weren't able to enjoy our breakfast on the infamous bridge, but we had a relaxing breakfast inside the cafe. Our coffee and meals were perfect and the ambiance was lovely. They gave us a wifi password good for two hours so we took full advantage of that after we finished eating. We meant to come back for another breakfast on that bridge, however time was much too short and we never made it. Next time for sure!

Yelp
Pancakes were good.... but unfortunately the service was so bad :( server show up after a couple of minutes and took them more than 20 minutes to give us our drinks , 15 + more minutes to give us our food..... he never asked how we were doing or if we needed anything.....
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
Not great- really dim, cavernous feeling unless you're at the 2 tables outside . I felt like it was unsanitary eating there. The food tasted off. Not sure why it is rated so high.
google avatar

Rosemary A.

Yelp
I really liked this low key place. It was quiet and beautiful. We weren't able to sit on the bridge for quick snack but rather by the window with a good view. Prices are decent with good service. A must see in GTO.
google avatar

Ash-lea G.

Yelp
Sloppy soy burger and baguettes drenched in butter... not really worth it. I always think of you're going to indulge in a burger it better be good. In this case it wasn't. Second time I've been here, I won't be returning. This place has underwhelming food altogether. It's a shame because it's a great location and space. Maybe good just for a coffee or afternoon beer on the bridge.

Yelp
Our waiter tried overcharging us for two items, claiming that we asked for extras even though we clarified whether they were included in the breakfast price. He said they were included. When we brought it up, he claimed it was because we couldn't speak Spanish and said he would only remove the items from the bill if I verbally admitted that it was my fault and not his. I'm not even kidding. I've never experienced a more condescending jerk of a waiter in my life. We will never be returning to this establishment. Trying to pad the bill for extra tips and insulting patrons is unacceptable.

Yelp
It was okay, we had the enchiladas and baguette. The staff wasn't very attentive and the food wasn't the best.

Yelp
cute cafe with a perfect spot outside! totally recommend it just for a drink and a snack

Yelp
So we came her for breakfast with my family. The waiter took all of our order and repeated back to us. Cool, right? Got our coffee and enjoyed the conversation. The wait time to get our coffee took a little long (15 mins). Ok. I'm cool with that. About 30 mins later after receiving the coffee the food finally came out except for one plate. So we asked what happened and it took about 3 waiters total to see what had happened. They asked what was missing and told them and guess what... They placed the order right then and there. Oooooook. Another 15 mins past and everyone was about to finish their meals.... Asked again. They all looked puzzled and went to check again. It's coming out. Ok. Another 20 mins past and nothing. So we asked for our bill and guess what the food was finally ready. At that point an hour had past and they expected we were going enjoy it. No! We asked them to cancel the order and not to charge. They kindly replied that they wouldn't charge and the plate was on the house. Mind you everyone had finished their meals about 30 mins earlier. What should of been done was the meal should of been prepared immediately after it was brought to their attention. The service sucked here. If you go cool. Make sure you get your not starving when you arrive, expected long wait time to get seated, a wait to get anything to drink, and a longer wait time to get your food.

Yelp
I was looking forward to eating here since I'm vegetarian and they have several veggie friendly options. I left disappointed. Service is slow (i.e. waited a while to get a side of regular salsa), food took a while to come and it got cold pretty quick. The bathrooms were clean tho.
google avatar

Marisol F.

Yelp
Had breakfast and it was great. The chilaquiles were delicious and the breakfast comes with orange juice, coffee and bread. Highly recommend when visiting Guanajuato. Service is great as well
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
I ordered the BLT baguette something I assumed would be straightforward somehow they managed to mess it up. The bread was soggy and it was more so a croissant than a baguette. The best part of this experience was the location.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
This cafe was cute and tasty and the prices were much better than the crowded touristy joints by the Juarez theatre and cathedral. The staff are very friendly.
google avatar

Pritio M.

Yelp
We were surprised to discover that the food in this place was actually quite good. Have returned to the restaurant a few times. They have a portabello mushroom sandwich that is extremely tasty. sitting on the bridge part of the restaurant is also quite nice.
google avatar

Tim W.

Yelp
All the reviews that describe the food as mediocre are spot on. My veggie burger was microwaved but not enough to even melt the American cheese that topped it. Not sure why this place is so popular.
google avatar

Becky B.

Yelp
I've been twice, and I'd go more often if it wasn't crowded. But it is crowded because the food is excellent. I like the guacamole a whole lot. The sopa azteca has a nice rich broth, lots of gooey cheese, and is very filling. I have also had a vegetarian baquette, with loads of yummy grilled veggies. Everything was perfect. If you come to GTO for a visit, make time to go here at least once.
google avatar

Seth S.

Yelp
Beautiful location if you can get a spot on the bridge, Feels like your in Europe. Food is average.
google avatar

Jessy E.

Yelp
You don't find veggie burgers much in Mexico. This place has them and they are delicious!! The server asked if I wanted extra grilled veggies and of course I said of course. They'll add on mushrooms and pineapple- a tasty twist. The place overall is charming and affordable and the service was very friendly.
