We had a wonderful experience at the Wine Museum, made exceptional by our host, Angela. She was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, providing detailed insight into Santorini’s unique viticulture and the island’s traditional grape-growing methods. Beyond the tasting itself, Angela went above and beyond by sharing thoughtful, personalized recommendations for places to visit, see, and experience around the island, which truly enhanced our trip. Her passion, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made this visit memorable. We highly recommend the Wine Museum and especially suggest asking for Angela as she is outstanding. Thank you Angela-The Moratti’s for Northern CA

The first wine museum I visited that is located in a natural cave. The 8 meters underground and 300 meters long museum took the Koutsoyannopoulos family 21 years to build. If you want to know the wine-making process and history of wine on Santorini, it is a good place to go. It showcases the development of wine making through exhibitions and audio-visual presentations. The museum provides audio guides in 22 languages. At the end of the tour, you can taste 4 kinds of local wines by the Kuotsoyannopoulos family. Also chat with the lovely Angela, who is a Greek- American. She has extensive knowledge on greek wines. It was a unique and fun experience to me. I particularly like the two white wines Angela served. I hope you also enjoy it.

We had a great time knowing all about Santorini’s wine history. How the two brothers started making wine out of scratch and later started to sell it. Angela was really welcoming during the wine tasting. She gave us great recommendations for restaurants too. Thank you so much.

My mother and I booked a wine tour and tasting through our hotel concierge, Melanie. Upon arrival we were already expected and received a warm greeting. The historical tour in the cave was creative and very knowledgeable. The vine and grape cultivation is astonishing and gives a next level appreciation for the wine tasting. The last room prior to the exit was very well done with historical artifacts provided by locals in the region and even a retelling of how the islands were divided by volcanic eruption. The bar and tasting rooms are beautiful done and well appointed. Much to our surprise we were escorted to an elegant tasting room. A lovely charcuterie board was also provided. The highlight was the service provided by Angela. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a deep appreciation for the history of each wine. She also guided us on the pairing of each bite. Angela changed my perspective on dessert wines for the 2002 Kamaritis is now a favorite. Thank you, Angela for being a delightful host. We purchase 4 bottles, 3 of which we hoped to survive 2 flights back home. Thanks to your superb packing we can now share Santorini wines with our family for they are truly one of a kind.

Great visit here and very informative. euro25 per person gives you the tour at your own pace with a little hand gadget in your language. Enter down the steps to the underground cave where the story of Santorini wine unfolds, sections show original old machinery, how the crop is grown, a story of the family and how the workers did their jobs. If you are interested in wine this has got to be for you, as you approach each story there is a board with numbers on, just press the corresponding one on your handheld & listen...no pressure so the time is yours. At the end you get to taste some of the wines 4 in all and the measures are ok, you will be guided to flavours and what to look for, of course everyone has different tastes but you can usually pick out the main back flavours. A must visit.

Attended with my 2 children, this is a must when visiting Santorini. The museum is great, it shows you the history of wine making by the family all set in beautiful caves. My two children enjoyed the audio guide too. This is then followed by wine tasting. Our host was Angela, she’s the best! Super friendly, really knowledgeable and helped us not only with wines but Santorini tips! Looking forward to bringing my family back on our next visit.

Lovely experience. Was almost private going in the middle of the week. The museum and wine tasting were amazing. Loved the design of the place It’s the second best wine museum in the world! Worth trying! Don’t be discouraged when arriving, the museum is underground and wine testing and shop on a beautiful and modern hidden place
