Santos Fuegos Holbox

We came here upon reading all the good reviews and it didn’t disappoint! Great food and attentive service. The flank steak was super tasty and so were the broccoli. Highly recommend it!

We had dinner at Santos Fuegos in Holbox and absolutely loved it! We ordered the flank steak and the sea bass. Both were incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. The restaurant is more on the higher end, but absolutely worth every peso. Amazing quality, great atmosphere, and outstanding food!

After trying a few places around holbox, this place was our best find, so much that we had to come back. The place cooks everything in an outside kitchen, oven and grill. The flank steak is their signature dish, highly recommended. Desserts were also amazing, warm corn bread with a scoop of caramel ice cream! Ganache de chocolate with ice cream was also amazing.

From the outside of the restaurant you can feel the vibe, we were greeted and sat right away, the place was very crowded but they were prompt to help us. They bring a board with the menu and explain to you every dish, we ordered the Broccoli entree, basil salad and fish of the day. I can not explain the flavors in these dishes, never had anything like this and were foodies that love to try different places and flavors. It was a 10 on everything, ambience, flavors, service etc The place is also cute and very Holbox like. I would definitely recommend this place 100%! The price is worth it, you can tell they make everything from scratch and with great ingredients!

By no way the cheapest option on Holbox but probably the best. Outstanding food. Every dish was on point. The wine was the best we have had in Mexico. However, the star of the show was the service that was perfect. Great guidance on ordering, a genuine wish for you to enjoy every bit and all served with grace and cheer. Don't hesitate, book it. This place is simply amazing! Don’t miss it. I was looking for a place like that during my Mexico trip and only found it on my last night - elevated Mexican flavours but in chill vibe. Every single dish was amazing and it was hard to decide what to pick. It was a beautiful meal and I highly recommend this place. Other food recommendations: IG @karott.e

Probably the best meal we had during our almost two weeks in Holbox--which is saying a lot since there is so much good food on the island. Beautiful locally sourced ingredients expertly prepared over wood fire. Imaginative cocktails that escape pretentious tropes. Wonderful service. The intimate location is a bit off the beaten path but completely worth it (get a taxi or use a light source for your way back). I highly recommend making a reservation.

We have the good fortune to eat with people in places all over the world, and our lives are occasionally enriched by the experience. Santos Fuegos is rightfully lauded for their food in these reviews, and I have nothing but love for the dishes Melisa and I shared for dinner: blue corn tart amuse bouche, slow roasted empanada, broccoli (such an amazing balanced dish), charred prawns (pre-split and an easy eat), easily could have ordered 2 more of this dish, but with great restraint we chose to enjoy the cornbread with ice cream to finish. The food alone doesn’t do the place justice. Julie was our host for dinner and was a great part of the experience for a memorable highlight of our trip to Holbox. Everything about their approach is a reflection of hospitality at the highest levels, levels we continue to talk about when reflecting on our most memorable meals. Well done Santos Fuegos
