After a few heavy meals in Paris, I was craving something lighter and more comforting—and Sanukiya totally hit the spot! ✨🍲 Located near the Louvre, this cozy spot served up udon with perfectly crispy tempura on top and a broth that was so well-balanced 👌 The karaage on the side was extra crunchy and full of flavor too! 🍗😋 I was also happy to find Japanese draft beer on the menu—such a nice pairing to wrap up the meal 🍺 Definitely exceeded my expectations. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Google
Delighted with this find in Paris! Authentic Japanese food - the udon and karaage were excellent, as good as any I have had in Japan and Singapore. My dining companion had the tempura udon and I had a refreshing cold salad udon that had tasty chunks of prawn tempura. The grilled aubergine was also tasty.

Google
Authentic excellent udon. Expect to que which generally moves fast and always well worth the wait. Staff are very efficient, helpful, understanding and friendly. Consistency here is incredible, each meal always hands down the best. Been dining here since 2011 and look forward to every visit.

We always have to visit here when we come to Paris since we discovered it several years ago. The small shop is run by twins. My go-to is karaage udon. Don’t forget to pour the sauce on the soft udon and fried chicken/egg. Come during lunch and you can get the set. Hubby likes the Torigobo Gohan and omelette. Usually, you can’t help but add more karaage.

Really good place for udon. You have different udon choices, udon was yummy. I had the kitsune udon as I wanted something more light and it was really comforting. My partner had the udon with prawn tempura and that looked incredible, I tried one of the prawns and they were so good! I would probably have that next time!

Didn’t expect to see a Japanese udon-specialised restaurant in Paris. It’s a very busy restaurant. We went there at around 11:45am for lunch and there’s already a queue. Luckily didn’t have to wait for long. Space between seats were tight. Regarding the udon, flavour of the soup is authentic. I personally found the texture of udon was too soft. The portion was too small for the price.

Google
We came here about 8 years ago, when they had a Michelin star for their udon. Unfortunately, they have gone downhill since then. Before -- their noodles were fresh, and al dente (the best we had ever had). Now, their noodles are slightly overcooked and were too soft in texture. Note that there is no AC, but fans inside. Inside is all counter seating. There is extremely limited seating outside, so def not good for groups. Service is great tho -- they're really nice and helped with menu recommendations.

Google
The udon are nice. Highlight for the karage chicken👍🏼 Only the seat inside is quite hot.

Yelp
Great meal garage or fried chicken as an appetizer and curry udon. We added a poached egg, seaweed and fried tofu to our dish. The frued chicken was served hot, was very tender and had great flavor. The broth with noodles was spicy and rich. The noodles were perfect and the portion was a nice size and I thought I could not finish but this was sooo good. The staff was courteous and the food came out quickly. When.we arrived we were immediately seated but when we left thete was a line to get in. Enjoyed this place!

Yelp
The first time we were in Paris I bookmarked this place. It just so happened we were looking for a brunch spot and I stumbled across my old bookmark. This is a small space so there can be a wait. Luckily we only waited about 5-10 minutes. We were seated inside along the window. The staff speak some English and were friendly. This is by far the best udon we've had in Europe. The broth is so rich and comforting. The noodles are made in house and fresh and cooked perfectly. We had a wonderful experience and can't recommend this place enough when you are wanting a nice comforting Asian soup while in Paris!

Yelp
Great Japanese food. Had been traveling in Europe and North Africa region and was ready for home cooked style food. My wife being Japanese, we were just craving some white rice and miso but ended up wasting several dishes. Great service and menu to get a taste of home.

Yelp
Lives up to the hype of being a Michelin starred udon restaurant! My bf ordered the Tonjiru (sliced pork belly) udon and I got the Bukkake Tempura udon. Both were delicious (pretty on par with udon restaurants in Japan) and the noodles were the perfect chewy texture. My tempura was also fried perfectly and I loved the broth of my bf's Tonjiru udon. I was only in Paris for a few days around Christmas time and the restaurant was closed between Christmas Eve and January 3rd or else I would have come here again because it's THAT good.

Yelp
** Perfect way to get your noodle fix for all the tourists that want to take a break from the local cuisine. A bit of a wait but well worth it! Tired of eating steak frites for the 4th time in a row but not sure what else to try? Look no further! This udon place was so good that my fiance and I came here not once but twice on our week long vacation in Paris. Might be the best udon I've had (granted I've never been to Japan) as it beats out pretty much every place I've had in the US. I ordered the Duck udon both times. The broth was incredibly rich and unique tasting, and the noodle texture was perfect. We came in March around a colder time, and this was the perfect fix on a rainy day. There can be a bit of a line depending on when you go, but its worth the wait! The only downside is that if you are very hungry, it might not be enough to just order one bowl. The duck udon was just a few pieces of protein and noodles, so not too much substance in the bowl, but the taste is on point. It seems like there are other add ons you may want to consider, or plan on hitting a bakery afterwards. The inside is very cramped but its expected for the area.

Yelp
4.5 stars and rounded up! Doing Japanese food proud in Paris! Probably one of the best udon places I've ever eaten at outside of Japan. Came here twice on my recent trip to Paris. Expect a line at each meal, lunch or dinner, since it's a small casual joint that seats about 15 inside at bar areas, and another 10 people in the covered outdoor area. It's a place to loudly slurp down your udon fix while waitstaff greet customers together with "irasshaimase!" and bustle about placing and bringing out orders, not a spot to linger for hours with friends--it's also pretty crowded inside--so the queue moves fairly quickly. If you're hungry best bet is still to get there when they open. That being said I must also say the service here was very friendly and polite, they never rushed us even though they do bring you the check once all items have been served--you can take the check to the counter in the back to pay. Trying several items, I must say this spot holds down the fort with traditional staples like Niku Oroshi udon (beef, poached egg, grated radish), Tempura udon (2 prawn tempura, you can order Hiyashi tempura udon that comes with vegetable tempura too), and Kaisou udon (mixed seaweed). Each broth is unique and fantastic, I haven't experienced this level of authenticity in flavor since eating in Japan. Their Bukkamo udon (duck marinated in teriyaki sauce, poached egg) is hands down stellar, that duck is perfectly cooked, tender and savory...I'm drooling right now. Their eggs are poached perfectly. The side order of Nikumiso Gohan, a small bowl of miso pork over rice reminded me of a yummy Japanese breakfast. The Tonjiru udon was probably the one bowl that I might not get again, the yuzu miso broth flavor was ok, but the pork although sliced thinly felt a bit oily. Thanks for two delicious meals! Wish I lived closer so I could get this more often!

Yelp
I was craving Japanese food after eating a bunch of escargots and crème brûlées. Looked up possible places on Yelp and saw that Sanukiya had good reviews for their udon noodles. I love udon so I went. There was a short line outside the entrance, but the wait was only about 10 minutes. Ordered my tempura udon, and it was authentically delicious. It really hit the spot, even on an extremely hot day. It was definitely worth the wait.

Yelp
Best udon in paris! Get the Niku udon w/ the lunch special. Classic the service is fast !

Yelp
Boo Boo and I came here after a few hours at the Louvre museum. There was a long wait but it moved fast. The staff and the setup makes dining here just enough to pace everyone out. We shared the fried chicken and She got the shrimp tempura udon soup and I got the sliced beef udon soup. It hit the spot in a cold breezy day. Cc accepted. I've noticed every restroom in France to be very clean! way to go.

Yelp
Japanese udon in Paris, you might be asking yourself? We were in Paris for a few days as part of a broader France trip, visiting from California, and let dispel any doubts from your thoughts! French cuisine can feel quite heavy with its emphasis on red meat and bread. If you're feeling a change-up, look no further than Sanukiya! We came here for lunch on a Friday in October around 12:30/1pm. The restaurant was already quite full, with a short line outside. We waited about 15 min before being seated, which felt quick. Tables turn over quickly when you're just having udon! They have a small covered outdoor space and the majority of seats are bar-style inside, convenient for seating parties of all different sizes. I ordered a lunch set A, while my partner got just a bowl of udon. Everything was well-made, tasted authentic, and the service was just fantastic. Sanukiya is just a short walk from the Louvre, conveniently located in a central location in Paris.

Yelp
It was all hype. The food and service were just okay. I had high expectations from what I saw on social media.

Yelp
After eating all the French food I could eat for the first few meals, I needed some Asian food to comfort the soul. On a cold night, hot soba with some freshly fried tempura sounded great. My wife and I went around 9pm and the line was still long! However, we didn't have to wait too long before we were able to sit down. They have both indoor and covered outdoor seating. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I tried both the udon and tempura and both were spot on. The warm, perfectly salted broth complimented the tempura and warmed our bodies in the cool Fall night. This is a great place if you're feeling a little home sick from Asian food.

Yelp
My good people, this is single handedly the best udon place I have ever eaten at. I was suggested this place by a friend who had spent many many years living in Japan. Admittedly, my udon experiences are limited and I came in with no idea of what to order. I was assured that anything I ordered would be positively delicious and that was indeed the case. In fact, days later I am still thinking about this meal and dreaming up my return visit. What should you order? I can, as my friend assured me, assure you that anything you order will be good. You will not be disappointed. Other highlights: Good prices, food cooked right in front of you, and a short wait to get a table or spot at the counter. Also half priced beer at happy hour!

Yelp
Awesome Japanese place close to the Louvre. We had a couple of glasses of Kirin and some sake that were awesome. In terms food we had 1. Pork cutlet 2. Tempura Udon 3. Fried chicken 4. edamame 5. Misotama Udon There were all outstanding, service was very good as well. Ambience is nice, but remember that it is a small restaurant and may not be able to accommodate big groups when they are busy. Will definitely come back to Sanukiya.

Yelp
Oh my was I glad to try this place out. There was a long line when I got there around 12 ish. It does move fairly quick. If you have a big party, it is best to sit separately so you don't need to wait for a bigger seating to open up. Anyway, I was happy to eat some udon since I was feeling for something soupy. The udon was bouncy. The broth was flavorful. I didn't feel dehydrated after eating this meal. Overall, stop by this place to give it a try if you don't mind waiting.

Yelp
Literally one of the best ramen/noodles spots I have ever been. I can't wait to come back to Paris so I can eat here again. I am so happy our hotel was very close by so we ended up coming here 2x on our trip to Paris. It's nothing I've ever had before and it seems very authentic. The soup is flavorful and I loved everything about it! It's a must try. Note that it gets very busy here, we came right when they opened and it got packed every fast and there is usually always a line here. Our hotel was very closeby and we always saw people standing and waiting outside to eat here and that's how you know it's good. One of the servers spoke English too and was very helpful!

Yelp
I was very surprised by how much I liked getting Udon here. I did not expect anything good Japanese in Paris but was pleasantly surprised to be proved wrong. Not only was everything super delicious, the staff was super kind and attentive. We really enjoyed the Japanese Hospitality that came with our meal. Nothing beats a cold udon and cold beer on a hot day after the Lourve. My only complaint is that it does get busy and the way is annoying as there is not much shade. Nothing they can really do about it except maybe put out an umbrella for your guests.

Yelp
Fast service and very yummy udon noodles. Would redommend if youre having an udon craving.

Yelp
I was going to post my pictures, but I don't feel like hunting them down in my library lol! There are plenty of pics to refer to anyway. I found this little gem on my yelp app in Paris. My niece and I had just Finished a visit at Musee' d' Orsay and were starving. This was a few minutes walk to get to from where we were, but worth it. Thanks Yelp! It is a quite small restaurant. When we arrived it was pretty packed. (A great sign). We were able to be seated right away on one of the bench tabletops that seats 3. A woman was dining alone and we squeezed in right beside her. The waiter was kind. Gave us our menu's and disappeared into the orchestrated chaos. We flagged him down when we were ready. He helped verify a few things on the menu and I ordered the curry udon. Also a side of tempura shrimp and veggies. My niece ordered a dish that had udon, arugula, poached egg, and something else. Sorry. Can't remember the name of it, but it's on the menu and is pictured as well. You can't miss it. She also ordered croquettes. Filled with meat and potatoes. Everything we ate was delicious and hit the spot on a cold, rainy, night. My curry udon was the best I've had in a long time. It didn't taste like the packaged curry tablets you add to make a stew. It very well may have been. Only it tasted like a homemade version. So good! We paid for our meal in the back corner when we were done. A nice lil spot if you're in the area, stop by and enjoy!

Yelp
Always a long line. It's popular udon restaurant . Friendly staff. You can enjoy Japanese Dashi soup andinnasu udon noodles. いつも行列でとても人気店のようです。 予約はできません。 ほっこりするお出しが味わえます。 讃岐うどんのコシは強すぎず、どなたでも食べやすい感じ。 お店は活気に溢れていて、店員さんはフレンドリーで親切です。

Yelp
In my opinion, the best udon restaurant in Paris and a constant favorite of mine. The broth is super flavorful and the noodles are perfectly chewy. Lines can get long but worth the wait!

Yelp
Me and my wife's favorite food while in Paris, we were only in town for a few days and we were sure to come here twice!

Yelp
1. Casually bookmarked this because it popped up on Google Maps. 2. Stumbled around the Louvre for two hours because half of the directions to the Mona Lisa were incorrect. Let's be honest, you only go once and never again. 3. Walk hangrily to Sanukiya at 3pm to realize there's a line outside and think, "But why???" and then see the 10 Michelin stickers on the window. 4. Oh. Maybe this is good. We were totally caught off guard by the Michelin recognition but very down to try it since the line was so short. I'd say that 3-4:30 pm on weekdays is the perfect time frame without a wait. Plus, there's that happy hour side menu with large beers for the price of the small. Loved the A-lunch set side of rice, kaarage, and eggs (and I would get this for a full portion with a side of udon if that were an option). Decent udon, but nothing outstanding. Would go again... just during the hour and a half of no lines :)

Yelp
We found our way here thanks to Yelp! After awhile in Europe, the most comforting thing to eat is probably a bowl of rice hah. It was busy since it was dinner time, so we waited about 5 minutes. There's a lot of counter seats, so I imagine if you're traveling with a large group this wouldn't be the restaurant for you. The tendon was amazing and fried nicely. It came with a complementary bowl of miso soup, which had a deep dashi flavor. A lot of people ordered udon, so we got one of that too. The broth was flavorful and overall we had a great experience here!
google avatar

Yelp
Love it. Amazing udon and tempura. A little pricey but the food is actually good. A little wait but very much with it. Close the Louvre, and came here after the museum.
google avatar

Gabriel N.

Yelp
Wow. Amazing, authentic udon in Paris?! Who would have thought that you can find this halfway across the world. My friends and I came on an afternoon and had to wait a little bit. The place is fairly small, but they are very efficient with seating. Unlike other places in Europe, this one is more of a quick eatery rather than a sit down, let's talk about life kind of place. After waiting ~20-30 minutes, we all got seated separately in groups of 2-2-3. I ordered the Tonjiru lunch set which came with the Tonjiru udon - sliced pork belly with a yuzu miso soup, fried chicken, Japanese omelette, burdock rice, and a beer. I'd highly recommend that side set for the extra €5. That rice is amazing! The udon itself was super bomb and before I knew it, I'd had finished everything. Definitely is worth the hype. From what I hear this is not Michelin-starred yet, but is Michelin recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
If you're visiting Paris and you are craving some udon this is a great spot to try! I ended up getting the lunch special which comes with udon, fried chicken, Japanese omelette, rice and a drink! I can eat a lot of food and this meal hit the spot! Overall the broth had a sweet taste to it which was very enjoyable. It wasn't overly salty like some places can make it. I also enjoyed their crispy fried chicken. We ate around 4 pm and there was not much space available. If you plan to go around lunch or dinner I'm sure it will be even more crowded. It is a bit on the pricey side but overall I think the meal was worth it!

Teresa T.

Yelp
We were a party of 5 and 3 gives 5 stars and 2 give 4 stars. Why I'd give 4 stars - I ordered the udon with egg and some seaweed and while good, I've had better and also for way less expensive elsewhere (see Marukame Udon, Hawaii and California for $7 vs $20 here). Broth was good but could have been better. Stepdaughter gave 4 stars for her vegetarian. She's had better also, but it was good. The 5 stars went to the breaded chicken udon and the tempura shrimp udon. Those, our guests said they were amazing and some of the best udon they've had. I'd come again but I would not order what I did last time - for the price it wasn't worth it. Other items seem to be very good though.
google avatar

Arman T.

Yelp
If I could give 10 stars I would. This is literally the best udon I've ever had in my entire life! I was so surprised that I found this in Paris! During our 5 day trip to Paris we came twice because it was that good! The kaarage udon was amazing but the bukkamo udon was to die for! The duck slices were so good and melt in your mouth. And the soft boiled egg enriched the whole taste. Service was good and friendly too. The only thing that they should change is that they need to open a branch in Los Angeles so I can come here every day! Please!

Yelp
Very good japanese restaurant! I loved the Udon pasta there! I will defenitely come back

Yelp
THE BEST UDON EVER! All the items on the menu is DELICIOUS! The workers are so nice! Will for sure come back when we are in town. Just wow
google avatar

Jenna R.

Yelp
We had our fair share of Parisian food and decided to get some warm noodles and broth to warm us up and we picked the right place! We had been craving some good Japanese food and although the restaurant is quite small, it was worth it! The workers worked hard and quick to get people in and fed. We ordered the pork belly udon and beef udon and added some extra stuff to make it more for our liking. We also ordered tempura and chicken karrage and it was all so so good! We would definitely go back!

Chris P.

Yelp
Best Udon outside of Japan, always lines but very short wait, 10 minutes Services excellent, will visit here again next time we are in Barcelona Bit noisy but g

Yelp
Wowowow. Aside from being Michelin starred for an infinite amount of years, Sanukiya is also literally the best udon I've had outside of Japan. Be prepared to queue though - my friend and I got there at 3 PM and there was still a wait. The food is absolutely to die for. I ordered the lunch special, which gives you rice, fried chicken, and an omelette on top of your bowl of udon for only 5 pounds extra. I honestly can't even describe the food well enough - imagine the most perfectly balanced bowl of soup you've ever had. The best tasting egg. The crispiest fried chicken. THAT is exactly how the food tasted, because everything was incredible. TLDR: brave the line to come here. Decent prices for Paris, super nice staff, out of this world food.
google avatar

Victor V.

Yelp
Restaurant was super hot and cramped, right next to the kitchen. Mirrors are too high and food was the definition of MID. Overpriced and didn't even taste that good. Would not recommend
google avatar

Chester V.

Yelp
Wanted some Asian cuisine while we were visiting Paris and this place was both tasty and within our price range. The udon noodles was hot and filling, tempura was crispy and cooked perfectly and the service fast. Overall, a very nice find. Plus it's super close to the Louvre.

Yelp
Our hotel in Paris happened to be a few blocks from an area with lots of Japanese restaurants. So, after passing in front of many restaurants several times on our way from and to the hotel, eventually we developed a craving for udon noodles. We chose Sanukiya a bit randomly, mainly based on the reviews and the nice pictures. Perhaps because this place is very close to the Musée du Louvre and the Jardins Des Tuileries, to our surprise there was a line outside when we went for dinner. Even more surprising, perhaps, the line was mainly made of Japanese tourists[1]. Nevertheless we took this as a good sign, so we joined the line. The line was long but was moving, and eventually we were seated. Our dinner started with Kakumi/pork belly. Yes, perhaps pork belly is more appropriate for a cold winter night than a hot summer evening, but I ate this delicious thing with absolutely no regrets. Give me pork belly this good every day of the year! We then had 2 different udon dishes: - Udon Misotama: Pork, miso, poached egg, and arugula. - Udon Kamatama: Crunchy bits of flour-batter, poached egg, and grated radish, scallion. This udon dish came with a warm sauce/broth on the side, to pour over the noodles. Both dishes were delicious: the noodles were thick and chewy, and the ingredients were fresh with lots of flavors. We thoroughly enjoyed these two bowls of udon. I'm not sure this place is worth waiting 30 min/1h in line, as there are a lot of other Japanese restaurants nearby, nevertheless this was a nice dining experience, that satisfied our craving for noodles. --------------- [1] Surprising for me; it's like if I visited Tokyo and then waited 1h in line to eat Italian food. Why?
google avatar

Gabrielle S.

Yelp
Love this udon shop! There's few seating and a lot of hungry customers so be prepared to wait in line, especially if you have a large group. I came with a party of 10 people and split into groups of 2-3. My favorite was the curry udon! The broth isn't thick and was very flavorful.
google avatar

Isha C.

Yelp
We arrived around 6:45pm on a Monday and didn't have to wait at all. The servers were all very nice and polite, but the food's just not that great... we ordered: - Agedashi tofu: skin was not crispy at all... - Pork yuzu udon: mediocre broth, over cooked udon, and very few slices of pork. - Katsu don: pork was tough and very mediocre overall. I was really hoping it would be similar to Raku in NYC, especially after so many days of French food. By the time we left, there were already 3-4 groups of people waiting in line outside the restaurant. Still not sure why.
google avatar

Laurie S.

Yelp
Delicious!!!! The udon was perfect and I felt as if I was back in Tokyo having the same. I highly recommend especially on a cold night. But be prepared to be packed in (just like Tokyo). It's a small place but wonderful. They were friendly much more than most people here in Paris.

Yelp
Honestly 3.5 stars. 1 star for the ambiance and decor, 4 stars for the food, and 5 stars for the service. Typically I round up in yelp reviews but I feel comfortable rounding down here because they don't need it. I searched for a restaurant near the Louvre and come across this place. I visited it on a weekday afternoon for a late lunch at around 3 pm. There was a queue!? What? I was so confused but my phone ran out of data (to find alternative restaurants nearby) so I decided to stick with this place. There was about 20 people or so in line and the line moved quickly. My friend and I got seated after about 15 minutes waiting in line. (As we got seated, I realized this place was Michelin guided.) We got to sit at the bar, which was cool because we got to see the kitchen action. However, the space was so crammed and I barely had room to move my arms around to eat food. I kept shifting my sitting position to make room for the servers running around behind me. I know restaurants in France are usually crammed but this was actually uncomfortable. I didn't feel relaxed at all. So 1 star for the ambiance. The food was good but not the best udon I've had. I started off the meal with edmame 3 euros. It was fresh and tasty. Good start to the meal. I got umeshu 9 euros. Refreshing but definitely expensive for the serving size. Then came my small rice bowl (tori gobou) 3 euros, it was good but nothing too memorable. My udon finally arrived: u kamo. 15 euros but I added one poached (2 euros) and one raw egg (1 euro) to it. For a bowl of udon that costed 18 euros, I expected more. The soup was rather bland. I don't know if their udon noodles are made in house but I have had better udon noodles elsewhere. Seriously, try u:Don in Seattle or Marukame udon in Honolulu. I honestly think both of them deserve to be included in the Michelin guide book. Did I mention you can spend $5 to get a delicious bowl of udon at these two places in Seattle and Honolulu? The service was quick and efficient. It's easy to flag down waiters because it's crammed. They are literally in your face so hard to not get their attention. In conclusion, I have had better udon noodles elsewhere where I don't feel the need to sit upright (and couldn't really move) at all times. I don't feel better giving it 3 stars because people would visit it anyways. Enjoy your visit.

Yelp
My husband thinks this place deserve 1 star. The noodle is not handmade. The soup is not simmered 24 hours... The chashu is pretty bad. Haha Paris standard. LoL We are very spoiled in Las Vegas. Most ramen places make their own noodles plus their pork bone soup are super thick and creamy full with collagen. Maybe my review here is not fair because we frequent Japan and one of my bff owns an amazing traditional ramen restaurant in Taiwan.

Yelp
After days of eating French foods, I need to take a breather and this place pops up! We went at 5.15pm on a Wednesday and got seated right away. The restaurant is small, so if you have a large party, it might take a little while to get you seated. The lunch set menu is available until 6pm, so we ordered those with niku udon and bukkamo udon. The niku udon is not as sweet as marukame udon in Honolulu(haven't tried the one in SF yet). I prefer the bukkamo udon broth than the regular udon. The lunch set comes with burdock rice, tamagoyaki and chicken karaage. They are all very tasty and good! Another good thing is that they have English menu and most of the servers speak English too. I'll be back next time I'm in town to try out the other udon.

Yelp
Never expected to find authentic udon in Paris. There was a 30 minute line at 5pm. Worth the wait! The udon comes out piping hot and tastes just like it should. Also recommend the dashimaki tamago. It's a small shop and mostly counter seating. Don't bring a big group unless you're okay splitting up.

Yelp
Udon here was very good. Always lines so go during odd hours. I would try their#1 with yuzu taste in the soup.

Yelp
Their lunch set A (11am-6pm) comes with omelet, a rice bowl and really tender, crispy chicken katsu. They won't let you take udon out!

Yelp
LOVE...THIS...PLACE... We waited nearly 40 minutes for a table for 3, and this was at about 2pm - a time when I thought the lunch crowds wouldn't be there. So, I guess you should probably plan your visit accordingly. Definitely get the classic tempura shrimp and veg ramen - super filing and flavorful.

Yelp
We are from New York so we are expecting a lot after reading the reviews. After eating all the foie gras & escargot, I was excited to try some culture food in Paris. Needless to say, I was not impressed but also not disappointed. Don't come here expecting 10/10 but you can expect Japanese hospitality and decent quality udon. Not sure if the udon is made in house, the texture isn't exactly chewy and the tempura is typical.

Yelp
Of all the croissants, pâté, charcuterie, and soupe a l'Oignon I've had in Paris, my favorite meal was... *gasp* udon at Sanukiya. Most definitely worth the hype. I waited almost half an hour, but the perfectly cooked noods blew my mind. The tempura is the way to go - portions are generous and flavors are on point. The restaurant is super teeny, so I would not recommend going with a group that is larger than four-- a party of 2 is probably ideal. They have menus in French, English, Korean, and Japanese- and I had no problem ordering in English. A must-try in my book! *I always add kitsune (sweet fried tofu skin) because I love how it soaks up the yummy broth!
