"Sunset in Sanur Sanur is a beautiful and quaint part of Bali with hotels along the boardwalk that lines the beach. The boardwalk really makes Sanur special, as walking in Bali can be treacherous in most of the towns with narrow streets and tiny sidewalks, but this paved path in Sanur is great for biking and long walks along the beach. Walk to the south end of the boardwalk for a great view of the sunset and find a nice little cafe to have a Bintang (beer) or a Bali kopi (coffee)."

Sanur Beach is hands down my favorite sunrise spot in Bali. The vibe here is so much more relaxed compared to the busier southern beaches. I love how the golden morning light hits the traditional jukung fishing boats lined up along the shore - it's absolutely magical. What makes it 5-star worthy: - The calm turquoise waters are perfect for swimming (no crazy waves here) - The 5km paved beach walk is ideal for morning jogs or bike rides - Local warungs serve amazing nasi campur right on the sand - Less crowded than Kuta/Seminyak but still has great amenities - Stunning sunrise views over Nusa Penida on clear days Don't miss: ✓ Breakfast at one of the beachfront cafes ✓ Renting a bike to explore the coastline ✓ The Sunday morning market when it's on Pro tips: 1. Arrive by 5:30am for prime sunrise viewing 2. Bring small cash for fresh coconut vendors 3. Water shoes help with some rocky sections Sanur proves you don't need wild parties to have an amazing beach experience. The peaceful atmosphere, gorgeous views, and local charm make it my top-rated beach in Bali. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone needing a tranquil escape!

In short: Sanur appeals to travellers seeking calm, culture, and connection—without the crowds. It’s perfectly easygoing, beautifully scenic, and full of understated charm. If you want a slower-paced Bali experience with a dash of culture and seaside bliss, Sanur won’t disappoint.

The beach is clean as it has cleaners, every day the pedestrian and sand beach are cleaned of trash along the shoreline. If you walk on the pedestrian, you may see some photographers who will take pictures of you. If you feel shy about being photographed, just ignore it. But if you want to see the result, you can see it in the Fotoyu application that you can download in Playstore. Anyway, this place is suitable for you who want to run, swim, cycle, or just enjoy the sunrise. Oh yes you can try eating food there, I recommend eating Ote-ote and Lumpia

If you want somewhere to stay that isn't your usual loud, high tourist/traffic, then definitely try Sanur. We stayed close to the beach, and the walks were beautiful. Such pride is taken on the gardens and walkways. There are plenty of local stalls and markets. The new Icon Shopping Centre was within walking distance. I recommend staying within walking distance to the beach. We will definitely stay again.

An incredibly underwhelming beach. Bland, boring, no waves. Nothing. It's even worse at low tide. It appears the water goes to knee height for hundreds and hundreds of metres out.. Seaweed everywhere makes it unpleasant too.

So underrated for solo travelers (that don’t prefer to party). This was the most peaceful place I’ve been to in Bali. Prices are noticeably better here compared to the other tourist cities, even water bottles are cheaper. I only stayed here because there was no flights the day I wanted to leave Bali. Now I wish I had way more time here than other places I went to. There is a volcano that you can see on the shoreline, and it’s sacred to the Balinese people. There’s also temples on the beach, and it’s so peaceful to just walk around and listen to your thoughts. It’s also just a very unique set up. I really loved it here’s
