Sao Beach

The beach is nice and long, nice sand / but it's far from white /, there are palm trees but there is a lot of garbage ❗️❗️❗️ Shame, it could be paradise but the Vietnamese don't give a damn. It's just that attention to detail and making things perfect are not their priority, too bad.

I would say that this beach is way better then Khem Beach, just because its wider and there are less bars, but of course it depends on the preferences. You must note that on all the beaches on islands there are plenty garbage and rubbish everywhere (in the water or on the sand). The view is nice and you can do some water sports here.

I loved it!! White sand, waves and turquoise water😍 it wasn't as crowded as I was expecting. There are many different places with sun beds (cost 150k) and you can also just put a towel on the sand if you don't want to pay. There are many photo opportunity places and also things like jet-skies, paragliding and banana boats.

The beach is beautiful and well maintained. There is an entrance fee and sunbeds are paid separately, but everything is quite affordable and definitely worth it. The crowd is small, so it feels peaceful and relaxing, and the overall atmosphere is wonderful.

Loved this beach! There is a bit of plastic unfortunately but there are no big resorts and loud tourists. You can bring your own towel and choose your spot. I got sand flies bites (nothing dangerous) but it was my fault because I sat on the sand without towel! So be careful for that :)

For anyone concerned about trash: Sao Beach really is as beautiful as it looks in my photos. Yes, there are a few areas with litter, mostly near undeveloped or empty properties, but it’s no worse than many other beaches in Southeast Asia. Especially after rainy season. Overall, the beach is stunning, the water is clean (no trash floating in it), and there are plenty of great cafés and restaurants at reasonable prices. I’m not sugarcoating anything, waste management is a real issue across Asia. But Sao Beach is nowhere near as bad as some reviews make it sound. In fact, it’s one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever visited. The areas with sunbeds, cafés, and restaurants are well-maintained, clean, and spotless.

The beach itself is very beautiful, with nice sand and clear water. It’s especially pleasant in the morning, before 10am, it’s still relatively quiet and uncrowded. After that, it fills up quickly, and water activities start, bringing quite a bit of noise. Taking photos with hammocks or decorative setups costs around 30,000 VND, and the sun loungers look somewhat worn at first glance. We didn’t stay long, just stopped for a quick drink and moved on once busloads of visitors started arriving...

Water is clear but so many dried leaves are there as a trash. Should maintain well with that kind of clear water and white & soft sand
