My wife and I had the 7 course tasting menu but without the wine pairing on this occasion. The internal decor could be best described as sumptuous. Lots of curtains, soft furnishings and cushions. Very comfortable seating and a cosy atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive and each course was immaculately presented. Every dish was imaginative and combined interesting flavours. Excellent value for the standard of food and service.

The Saphyre is what I'd consider a once in a while treat. The price is high, the portions are small, but the taste more than makes up for it. The food I had was immeasurably tasty, each bite had your taste buds just lost in flavour. After a meal in here you will leave feeling great, as not only is the food amazing, the service is extraordinary, know when to approach and when to give space to those eating. Any moment I could think I would need a further drink, or any service, they asked me without me having to even turn my head to get a person's attention, almost eery. If wanting a treat meal, I very highly reccomend this, as I plan to return again here.

I’m always delighted with food at Saphyre, I’m there fairly regularly and I’ve written great reviews for them before, however I’d like to let you into a little hidden gem. On Saturday I took my dad down for lunch and was delighted to find that they had a £22 quid (or thereabouts) set menu and it was nothing short of glorious (pictures included) However the “hidden gem” was the atmosphere - generated by an guitar / vocal artist called Emily Rose. She sang a variety of songs with enormous subtlety (it’s an intimate room so it would be easy to overpower diners out of conversation- she never once did.) She came over to talk to us after she had finished her performances which I thought was a lovely touch and she was most personable and I found myself really getting enthusiastic about her craft. I wish her well with her music! Emily-Rose is a credit to Saphyre - she transformed fantastic food with tremendous service into a magical afternoon for my family. (And no I’m not related and I’ve never met her before Saturday!!)

We went for an Italian food and wine matching evening & were treated to some amazing food in a stunning location - set in an old church. Absolutely glorious! Loved the whole evening-what a treat for the senses!

If you're eating here... Just hand over all choice and responsibility to the restaurant. The tasting menu (food and wine) was faultless. Some clever cooking and surprises... A real delight.

The best restaurant I have been to in years. It is hard to beat as the food is extremely good, service is up the highest standards, and the dinner rooms look incredible. The prices are a bit high but this is a full experience you buy and not only the food. This is a perfect place for a romantic dinner.

Do an excellent value lunch menu (a 5-10-5), so 3 course of Michelin quality food for £20 is something you shouldn't miss. Shout outs to the best Korean Chicken I've had (just the right amount of heat and crisp/crunch, and very moist chicken), also to the Rhubarb Pannacotta which is probably the best dessert I've ever tasted in any restaurant (what do you do to make the honeycomb, it's unbelievable, as is the sorbet). Will be back again soon!

Yelp
Saphyre is elegant and sumptuous dining. The atmosphere is comfortable and gracious and the food did not disappoint! We had the five course tasting menu with an abbreviated wine pairing because we didn't want to drink that much but trusted our waiters taste. He was spot on with his choices for our food. We felt pampered and left knowing we will be back!

Yelp
It looks like Ox has some competition... This place is special. Impeccable service similar to The Merchant Hotel. Strangely decorated with interesting color combinations, but that is part of its charm. But the food. Oh my. I had Torchon of rabbit, with a little carrot cake that was actually shaped like a carrot! And pork belly with squid, all interestingly presented with beautiful flavours. This restaurant is WELL worth the visit, just have a glance at some of the showcase pictures on their website to see the kind of caliber i'm talking about. Btw, it is round the alley to the left of the church!

Yelp
On our last night in Belfast before returning to NYC we walked in to find flawless service, creative plates presented in picture perfect form in an incredibly decorated repurposed sacristy of an abandoned church. A wonderful experience that had us yearning to return. And it might happen!

Yelp
Top class restaurant offering opulent surroundings and food to match. Thankfully, they haven't fallen at the hurdle many others at this level do - and scrap stuffy service for friendly genuine staff. Would recommend for a proper treat night. Do it right and get dessert - I had baked Alaska which was perfection!!

Yelp
Saphyre is fabulous. I love this restaurant. It's a bit of a hidden gem, housed within a beautiful old church on the Lisburn Road. An interior design studio/ shop - Kris Turnbull I think - occupies the front area of the converted church. Hence you could walk in and not actually realise there is a restaurant towards back of building. The first time I visited I thought I was in the wrong place! I did find Saphyre restaurant however and am very glad I did. A place to really treat yourself, it oozes luxury and quality and is visually a beautiful restaurant. Food here is amazing. I've only had the lunch menu, however they also offer afternoon tea, dinner, vegetarian, pre theatre and brunch menus. When I visited I opted for breads and salad - all of which was decadently delicious. Great wine and cocktail lists too. I can't wait to return. Heavenly.

Yelp
Jewel of the Nile! This place is truly beautiful with superb food and service. Afternoon tea is a lovely treat with the finest quality ingredients and attention to detail. The staff are very pleasant but not intrusive on your table. They are always well informed on the menu and can cater for allergies. They do a really well priced lunch menu that often changes up. Tasting menu is £65 and worth every penny! The decor and even toilets are beautifully designed. Well worth a visit.

Yelp
I've only been to the cafe, but this place is a wonder. Great food and great service, the decor is well thought out and the pastry's and desserts are a work of art!
