One of our favorite beaches!! We got married here in 2020, and continue to come back every year. Crystal blue water, beautiful white sand, and excellent snorkeling over the corals. The beach bar also has great burgers and tacos. Sapphire beach is must when visiting St. Thomas.

Maria Jose Gomez

Google
One of the best Beach in the world! The water is warm, calm sand There is a bathroom and restaurant and bars Chairs rental is $15 per each, but is a threes with shade

Bryan Halverson

Google
Lots of crowds but amazing snorkeling to the right and left of the cove. Anything close to shore is dead from everyone stepping on the coral unfortunately but if you go out far enough it is amazing. Coral gardens and lots of fish. Come early in the day to see sea turtles feeding on the left side of the beach. Also saw an Spotted Eagle Ray! Good water visibility.

Jeremy

Google
Pretty beach, close to our rental but loud as hell. Don't know why they need to blast the music to a deafening level but everyone else seems to love going to the beach same having to scream talk to each other. But it is pretty. The water is super clear and there's tons of amenities around there

Google
I visited Sapphire Beach for the first time in May 2025 and it has gorgeous views of the ocean and mountains, clear water, and is located near restaurants that serve really good food, drinks, and has a calming atmosphere!! The music they play was great to me as well. You can bring your own towels or chairs, or you can rent lounge chairs and cabanas. This beach does have rocks in the sand so be careful, but have fun! I will definitely come back here when I'm in St. Thomas!

Michael Rivera

Google
Cruise excursion crowded area, beach had some lounge chairs and snorkels for use. Most of the corals has been stepped on and sparse sea life remains center of beach.

Marcus Little

Google
Lots of sea "plants" on beach, in ocean here. Some spots of beautiful water can be found though. Lots of people as public and condo populations are present and it's a narrow beach. Food and bar here. Found it difficult to find the public parking location. 4ish minute walk from lot.

Paul Schneider

Google
First time my GF and I had been there, but the beach was absolutely beautiful. Probably considered a medium size beach (by me anyway), nice white sand and super clear water. Chairs can be rented. We did visit one of the shops and use the restroom. Has a nice point near the rocks also for more picture opportunities.

Yelp
f I were traveling to St. Thomas regularly I might not post such a glowing review as I'd like to keep this a bit of a secret. This is a great beach with fine sand, shade, easy access to reasonable snorkeling as well as a good beach bar. It's about a 20 min cab ride from Charolette Amalie that currently costs $30 for two people.

Yelp
My favorite beach in St Thomas :) We stayed at the resort right on this beach and it was gorgeous every single day. The water was crystal clear. If you stay at the resort, you're able to use the chairs and umbrellas for free. There is a restaurant & bar there too, that served great finger foods, burgers and drinks. This beach is also conveniently located near a strip of restaurants, as well as Coral World- an ocean park. Definitely less busy than the more touristy beaches across the island.

Yelp
Sapphire Beach on St Thomas Island (USVI) in the Caribbean was a great alternative to the popular Magens Bay Beach, which gets extremely busy when several ships are in port. Our tour guide recommended it & I could see why - not as busy, more relaxing, easy to get a beach chair & a great bar & lounge area serving really awesome fish tacos. It can be a quieter beach made easier to find shaded areas or just a little privacy along the shore line. The bar area is very accommodating & spacious if you just want to chillout in the shade. Washroom & change facilities & an outdoor shower area to wash the sand off are conveniently nearby. An intruder approached us while we were swimming - a stingray. Darn it I didn't have a waterproof camera on me at the time. Sapphire Beach is free to access as opposed to Magens Bay which costs $7 per person. Also of note to rent a beach chair at Magens Bay, it's $20 & at Sapphire Beach it was $12 but I negotiated it for $10. I'm not saying - don't go to Magens Bay Beach - but rather keep Sapphire Beach in mind as a clear less busier alternative, if you are wanting to spend just a few hours swimming & tanning before you have to return to your ship.

Yelp
We came here after many locals and tourists recommended it. The view coming in is beautiful. Turquoise water and pretty sand. However, the vibe was more suited to a younger crowd. Loud music, lots of beer and loud 20-30 year old's with young children. Unfortunately, on the day we went the beach was pretty dirty. I hope it was just the day, but when I waded out there were baby wipes and trash floating around- not pleasant. Looking for a spring break vibe? this is perfect. We decided to move on to Maegans Bay which was more suited, and the chairs included an umbrella. Plus, the staff had them set up already for you!

Yelp
The beach truly is a marvel, isn't it? Imagine the warm, golden sand beneath your feet, the rhythmic dance of the waves as they kiss the shoreline, and the vast expanse of water that stretches to the horizon, blending seamlessly with the sky. It's a place where every grain of sand tells a story of ancient seas, and every wave carries the whisper of distant lands. The beach is not just a destination; it's an experience that engages all the senses, a symphony of sights, sounds, and textures that harmonize to create a tranquil escape from the everyday world. It's no wonder that a day spent by the sea can feel like a slice of paradise on earth.
google avatar

Lucille T.

Yelp
This beach is beautiful and free with free parking. It's got a lot of seaweed but people were still snorkeling and swimming on the day we went. It also has a lot of trees to provide natural shade, so there is no need to rent an umbrella -- just chairs. That is $20 saved! If you stay at the resort, it is free to use the chairs and the chairs were very comfortable. This beach was very peaceful with the sounds of the waves making it very relaxing. There were many iguanas running around and a lot of people wind surfing when we visited. There is a restaurant and a bar on site and also some shops. The drinks were pretty good. We brought our own food.

Yelp
Beautiful beach! This was my 4th trip to St. Thomas/St. John, however, it was my first time staying on St. Thomas. I feel incredibly lucky to have found a condo that was mere minutes' walking distance from this beach. My main goal for any beach vacation is to spend as much time underwater as possible, and I was blown away by the snorkeling here. It was my husband's first time snorkeling so we stayed relatively close to shore, but we were still able to see an incredible array of sea life. The water was also extremely calm. I'd recommend this beach to anyone visiting St. Thomas!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great option for some time to spend at the beach and snorkeling. The beach is a bit narrower but longer. The resort is there and the beach bar area is nice and convenient, but the beach is accessible to the public. Some parts of the beach can be a little rocky and slippery. There is some decent snorkeling in the area not too far from the shore. The views are just gorgeous from almost anywhere in the island and Sapphire Beach is no exception.
google avatar

Maddie D.

Yelp
Beautiful beach. Love the amenities offered by Sapphire Beach hotel - a bar right near the beach, a gift shop, a breakfast type cafe selling coffee and light food with gifts as well. Super inviting and beautiful areas to sit. Also had a restaurant beach bar that was opening while we were there. Would definitely go back and recommend for others to see. Water was absolutely gorgeous. Seemed like there was ample parking near Sapphire Beach resort but unsure if it is public or not.

Yelp
I just spent 5 beautiful days in St Tbomas. I was at Megan's beach, Coki Beach, Lindqvist beach and here Sapphire beach. I have to say I don't agreed with those who says Megan's beach is better the. sapphire beach. Maybe a tiny prettier because of the mountains but Sapphire beach is more enjoyable. Also it's free, not that $5 that Lindqvist or Megan's beach entrance fee is would count much unless you're a large group but hey, that a price of a beer /person . Anyway this was the most enjoyable beach of all. All other beaches I couldn't stay longer the. 3-4 hrs tops here I didn't wanted to leave. Also you can rent apartments here if you wanna stay. There is a couple of bars and restaurant compare to meg and beach it's way more than they got. Also you can use the furnish tents or beds for free to sit around which makes everything enjoyable. Loved it! It's absolutely my favorite beach on this island. WAter: beautiful. The little peninsula with palm trees and swimming pool looks excellent. Beachball ground you can use and they make excellent iced coffee with chocolate and almond and some sort of liquor for $10. You can get drunk right in the morning for your coffee and hit the ocean! I wanna come back. Will come back. If you interested follow me at Tourbyt.com and Calture America my YouTube channel Thank you everyone for reading my post.

Yelp
We stayed at the resort and had this beach during our stay. It was great. Restaurant is not open late. Plenty of places to sit and relax. We enjoyed it while staying at Saphire Beach Resort. A little to windy for paddle boarding.
google avatar

Carlisle J.

Yelp
Google maps is wrong, it sends you to a closed gate, instead drive to the resort entrance. There is free public parking to the left. There is an ice cream and coffee bar, and a regular bar. The beach is pretty steep and rocky, but the waves are bigger than the other beaches. Nothing to surf on, just enough to lay on a boogie board.
google avatar

Avinash L.

Yelp
It's beautiful. Water is turquoise green/blue. Just the sea weed was my issue. No one can control it. Overall good experience. There are better places on Virgin Island.

Deonne A.

Yelp
Among the beaches we visited, this one unfortunately landed at the bottom of my list. It's a tad rocky and doesn't quite capture the same beauty as the others. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent beach, but the overall atmosphere was a bit lacking for my taste. We were staying at the Sapphire Resort and Marina, so this beach was essentially in our backyard. The view was certainly nice, and the complimentary chairs that came with our stay were a definite perk. Unlike the other beaches, this one boasts two on-site restaurants and bars, which is a plus for grabbing a meal or drink. There is also great music playing and the beach can get a bit lively. You also have the option to rent snorkeling gear. The pool on the premises could use some updates - there's a slightly rundown area that seems to have once been a food stand. The beach is also lively with iguanas and roosters wandering about, which adds a unique touch to the experience.

Tynell F.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab a drink. I stood at a spot that was empty. With a smile, I tried to get any bartenders attention. 3 different male bartenders ignored me even after making eye contact. They must have noticed that I am a local but I won't argue with them to take my money. Worst customer service on this side of the island. I will not be back.

Yelp
I tel everyone who is anyone to go to Sapphire Beach. It is still a favorite of mine for so many reasons! First of all, there's a very happening bar/restaurant (they fixed everything since the hurricanes) where people are hanging by or there are waitresses that run out to you while you lounge on the beach - serving both food and drinks! Second, there are all sorts of amenities outside of just the restaurant - there are bathrooms, spot to rent beach chairs from (pricey though - $9 a chair), spot to rent swim sporting goods, and also non-aggressive locals making a living selling straw hats, carved items, and clothing, they don't chase you or approach you but are there if you want to purchase something. Third, the beach and animal life! There are a ton of these cute red billed brown ducks that chill everywhere on the beach (glad they made it through the storms) as well as iguanas. There is great snorkeling, although I didn't get a chance to go this last time so hopefully the reefs are still okay but there were a ton of people snorkeling. The water is a perfect temperature and moderate waves and a bit rocky before you drop in. My little one loved swimming with her swimmers on. It's a fairly busy beach as cruise ships bring folks out as well. Do yourself a favor and check Sapphire Beach out!
google avatar

Trecia L.

Yelp
Great get away beach. Gorgeous place to relax and get a drink. It says that it's private but they haven't taken the signs down. Anyone can come here. Bring a towel and relax.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
It's a beautiful beach, the crowd goes up and down with the cruise ships. There's competing chair services, if you are part of a package you get the X color chairs, if you stay in the condos you get the Y color chairs, or you can rent chairs. The restaurant and pub open at 11am. The small coffee shop opens earlier and had breakfast, coffee, smoothies to go. Theres a taxi line at the entrance to the beach. The safaris pick up at the top of the parking lot.

Yelp
Magen's Bay and Lindquist beach watch out, Sapphire Beach, keeps it real by not charging to access it and may steal all of your visitors. This beach is fast, becoming a favorite for the hubby and I over Magen's and Lindquist. Located on Sapphire Resort, entrance and parking is free! Let the security guards know at the resort entrance that you want to go to the beach and they'll direct you to it and parking. The parking lot is a rocky make up your own parking spot thing and the beach is about a minute walk away. Find the "dogs not allowed on beach" sign and the entrance is near. What I love about this beach besides it being free are the trees (sea grape trees-you can eat the dark purple fruits) for shade, Sapphire Beach Bar that serves delicious blended drinks and Sammys ( a server walks up and down the beach to deliver orders) and it's just not as crowded. You also have amazing views of the cays, St. John and Tortola and Jost Van Dyke in the distance. There is a plethora of motorized and non motorized options. Next to Sapphire Beach Bar is a rental area for snorkeling gear, beach chairs, kayaking, SUP, and windsurfing. The marina on the other side offers jet skiing and parasailing. There is fantastic snorkeling here, and the fish are larger and a lot more colorful than what you see at Magen's. Facilities like rinse and shower stations as well as bathrooms are well maintained by the resort. The only downside is that it's a bit rocky in the water and if you have sensitive feet you may want to wear reef walkers. Overall one of the best places to spend your time at while on St. Thomas!
google avatar

Neil M.

Yelp
This was our go to beach while staying on St Thomas. Not too crowded (except when there was a cruise excursion there).
google avatar

Patrick D.

Yelp
Amazing beach! The day we were here there was a fairly strong surf, but it's picturesque and beautiful. For the local St. Thomas beaches - it's slightly more crowded than most. We had a great time walking to both ends of the beach. On the right side (looking out at the water) is an awesome point with rock formations and a great view St. John. Definitely worth a stop!!
google avatar

Heather P.

Yelp
Even though this SVI beach is usually crowded, it's still one of my favorite beaches on the planet. I've been a few times, but yesterday was was my first experience there and not having a deadline to head back to the cruise ship... because I'm NOT on a cruise ship. Yay me! It rained that morning, so the water was murkier than I remembered from the other times. It's located between Red Hook and Lindquist Beach and just so happen to be close to Point Pleasant, where I'm staying. So, I took the $1 per person safari over. They drop off at the top of the hill, so we had to walk down the hill. The safaris only go clockwise around town, so instead of taking a trip all the way back around, we took a $5 per person taxi... they pick you up at the bottom of the hill, so no walking after an exhausting beach day. There are a ton of condos onsite, so don't expect seclusion, even after the cruisers leave. Shade trees are easy to find and even if you don't want to spend the $9 per day beach chair fee, you can pitch a towel somewhere where the sand is angled perfectly for relaxation. You can also rent snorkel and other beach gear items at the concession stand, near the beach bar. The beach bar serves up drinks and limited food items like burgers and hot dogs. Nothing special. The restroom is in desperate need of repair, but the beach entry is free, so I guess we can't complain too much.
google avatar

Heidi R.

Yelp
I stayed near this beach for about a week. It's a nice beach, very clean. I was disappointed that they make everyone leave the beach when the restaurant closes. This was very early on the weekends -- Around 4pm. There are resorts near this beach and guests would like to stick around later than that to swim.
google avatar

Olwen C.

Yelp
This is a gorgeous beach. The snorkeling is pretty cool, but not the best. They rent snorkel gear for $10 all day, which is nice! You can see lots of coral here. They also have kayaks to rent, and some guys selling beer. I didnt think there were many fish to see here, but it's supposed to be one of the best places to snorkel on the island. There's plenty of shade, and they rent beach chairs, too. We took a taxi from the crown cruise port, and it was $10 per person, one way.
google avatar

Miranda R.

Yelp
We loved this beach. On the weekends they close at 4 but are open until 6 on weekdays currently (our visit was in December). We got here at 10 and stayed until 5:30 pm. We got a couple drinks from the bar and they were delicious!! Really enjoyed our day here. It was fun. Definitely more crowded than magens and Hull bay, but we were looking for more of a people -watching scene our last day
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
This is one of the top 3 beaches on St. Thomas! (Lindqvist and Magens are the others.) If you're hoppin' off a cruise, just grab a cab and head down. ALL your needs will be met! Sand, surf and sun! There will be a cab waiting whenever you're ready to leave, or just grab the cab's phone number before you go; I promise you they'll be glad to pick you up! Some days there is a band (at least Wednesdays and Sundays), but you can get as close or as far away as you like and still enjoy the beach and water. Some people use swim shoes while swimming in the beautiful water, as some areas can have some rocks on it. DO NOT STAND ON THE CORAL; enjoy the snorkeling! There is a huge expanse of sand, great snorkeling, and plenty of room to spread out, even when it's 'busy'. Just head on down to the right side of the beach away from the crowds. Grab an inexpensive chair from the Dive Shop boys (Blake and Joey are awesome!!), and a Bushwhacker in the cup you brought along, from the beach bar. Sadly, I'm not there at the moment, so feel free to grab my little favorite spot on the right. (You'll know when you find it.) Visit with the many locals who are staying at Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina. Feel free to take a walk over to the marina to see the boats and to escape what some might think of as 'crowds' (there is so much room, it doesn't seem crowded. You can MOVE your chair, y'know....) Take a jaunt over to the point for a different perspective. There's even a rock beach on your way to the marina. Enjoy the view of all the islands in front of you, from St. John (no 's'), to the BVIs in the distance, and even Shark. This is not my 'peace and quiet' beach, because I'm always going to over to grab a drink, or visit with some people I know, but if I make a little effort, I can be very secluded while sunnin' and feelin' peaceful. I only saw one vendor on the main part of the beach, selling bracelets. Security keeps a route along the beach, unobtrusively. And if you ever wanted to see iguanas and aren't docked at Crown Bay, here is your chance!
google avatar

Ash S.

Yelp
Out of all the beaches we we've been to in the VI, this is the worst one. It was packed with people from the cruise ships. The beach was covered with seaweed and the there were rocks and shells making it difficult to walk into the ocean. The weather caused the water to be cloudy so snorkeling was not good. Very disappointed as we were told this was a must see beach.
google avatar

Trista B.

Yelp
This beach is stunningly beautiful, and perfect if you want that quintessential Caribbean turquoise water/white sand feel. It is also a fairly big beach, so even if there are quite a lot of people it doesn't seem crowded and its fairly quiet as well. There are amenities, since people live and stay at Sapphire, so there are bathrooms and I think a snorkel/paddleboard rental place as well. Also there is food available, and a lady with a menu will be strolling around if you are interested. Overall its an awesome spot and one of the prettiest views I think too, as it looks out over some of the cays and St. John. We came here last week for a beach day, and it was pretty much perfect...its easy to park in their lot, a quick walk to the beach, and you can relax as long as you want to. Bring your own chairs or beach towels to lay on (I believe the chairs there are for the residents), and you've got it made! They have lots of areas with shade and sun, so if you tan for a while you can get out of the sun for a bit afterwards. You can go out in the water and snorkel as well, or just hang out and enjoy the water. It really is a beautiful beach, I would for sure recommend it, and I can't wait to be back!
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
Stunning beach tucked in near Red Hook. Free public parking and a very short walk to the beautiful beach. Calm waters and long white beach. Pretty good snorkeling but the water is a little rocky if your just looking to wade in, watch those spiky urchins that seem to thrive on the rocks. Also, this time there seemed to be a lot of seaweed on the beach, more so than some of the other beaches we visited. Probably just has to do with the time of the year I imagine. Signs posted that chairs are for resort guests only, so bring a towel, plenty of shade to retreat into by midday as well. Such a beautiful view of nearby islands and of the boats, don't pass up this place!
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
My first visit to US Virgin Islands, not really that impressed. But this is a review of Sapphire Beach. The beach is free if you are staying at one of the condos, the water beautiful blue and warm. Very nice for a swim. The amenities at the beach are sparse, so if you are planning to stay awhile be aware there are no bathroom facilities. There is a beach restaurant which we haven't tried yet. The beach itself, OK to spend a couple of hours relaxing with the gentle breeze in your face.
google avatar

Mel B.

Yelp
Prettiest beach we went to on St. Thomas. Had some rentals and food, but no locker rental. Snorkeling was good also!
google avatar

S. A.

Yelp
Overall, the beach is beautiful. There is a public bathroom (which I did not use), at least one snack stand/bar, and an area to buy tee shirts, pareos, and probably other stuff. (I didn't pay much attention as I was eager to hit the beach.) The water was rocky and there was a lot of sea debris (seaweed, tree branches and leaves, etc.) where we started. (Close to the main beach entrance.) We moved half a mile or so to the left and it was better. Still some sea debris but it was tolerable. I saw a few of the small translucent fish that frequent the shallow areas and a few other sea critters that burrowed in the sand when I came near. One was a small crab that got tumbled over and over each time a wave rolled in. Sea grape trees on the beach provided much-needed shade. We nixed the $7 rental lounge chairs in favor of spreading our towels on the sand. There was a woman selling strong rum drinks and snacks at one of the beach stands. I walked over with my sister and I was surprised to see the woman pour an 8-ounce cup three-fourths full of rum and the remainder with a pink liquid. There were iguanas hanging about but thankfully none near us.
google avatar

Sandy D.

Yelp
Vendors and restaurants need to be a little bit more proactive conscientious and realize that when people order stuff on the beach Styrofoam shoved into a bunch of garbage cans is not the way to go to admire beautiful beach. The garbage's were overflowing and it was sad to see that even though this is United States it felt more like a Third World country. I would not utilize any of the restaurants until they change their way of doing business
google avatar

Mark D.

Yelp
Great beach and good snorkeling! A Little bit loud for my taste, but worth going to, if on the island.
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
The east side of the island is windier than other areas, because of this the water was choppy and snorkeling sub par. The views of surrounding islands is worth the visit! Once the beach bar opened and the rum punch was flowing it didn't matter how windy it was or where the sand landed. The bathrooms were clean and the service was friendly.
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
We were in St Thomas for the day on a cruise and wanted to visit a beach. We were recommended this one. It was a nice beach for beginning snorkeling which my 6 year old loved. Not full of fish, but nice and calm. Great kids beach. We rented snorkeling gear for $5 for an hour. I also got my daughter a life vest for another $5. This is next to a resort but we didn't try any food.
google avatar

Theresa H.

Yelp
Beautiful beach with chairs and food available for you. The fish tacos were one of the best meals I had on the island and I had a lot of great meals. The beach wasnt busy, so not lacking anywhere to find a spot on the beach. The waves a little bigger than some other beaches.
google avatar

Shannon C.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this beach. The water is so warm, clear, and refreshing. I love the fact that it's so blue and you can see the bottom. The beach bar has amazing drinks and the location is very convenient. The atmosphere is just great to hang out and relax. I definitely will be going back again and recommend it to anyone.
google avatar

Pat K.

Yelp
A quite place on the beach. Ocean 10-40 feet from your back door. Water is stunningly clear. Views are amazing. You will love it!
google avatar

Raph K.

Yelp
It's a really nice beach but the flies and the smell of rotting seaweed lines the entire beach front. You have to pass through 3 feet of dead seaweed to hit the water but once you're in, it's awesome. Fish were swimming around me and following me.

Amber S.

Yelp
The views are gorgeous but the fun stops there for me. It was so overcrowded and the scene just felt sort of trashy. I will say the bar and very good food.
google avatar

Tyler C.

Yelp
This is a great place to go if you want access to different water activities. The snorkeling is okay, but I would most highly recommend renting a kayak. I did it for 30 minutes, but I could have taken in the view for an hour or more. Though it is not the MOST beautiful beach on St. Thomas, Sapphire Beach is certainly in the top tier.
google avatar

Latifa S.

Yelp
How can you give a beach a 3 stars?? I know I know! I"ll give it 3.5 stars but since there are no half stars on yelp,I'll settle for 3! Caribbean waters are just stunning. Powder sand, turquoise blue water. It's so serene! We've stayed at Sapphire resort so this was right in our back yard. The beach was a ok compared to other beaches. It's must more quieter and less fun compared to the other beaches but it is good for vegging out , short walks and such. I wouldn't make a trip out here if I wasn't staying at the property though. It's kind of a long-ish beach but with a lot of rocks and such. Also depending on the location of your unit at the resort, you might need to walk down a bit. Not too bad of a walk but can be tricky at night. We did have a nice and fun early morning walks here on the beach though. Even had a photo sesh or two with my tripods! Just not long enough of a beach to stroll around but overall , it is still pretty. You won't find any locals here but there will be plenty of tourists from all over. If I stay at the resort again, I'll probably come back down for a stroll or two.

Jordyn N.

Yelp
Just reviewing the snorkeling conditions here since this was one of the places noted as being "good for snorkeling," but we felt it was sub par. Walking up to the beach, I got really excited by the dark looking areas in the water thinking they were massive patches of coral. However, they were mostly sea grass with not much fish activity. Getting into the water is a bit tricky because all the rocks (at least where we entered on the mid-right end). Once we were swimming around, the water was a little choppy and the visibility was quite poor (a lot of debris stirred up especially not too far from shore). Underwater, the views weren't too impressive. Some fish activity, a LOT of sea grass, and some patches of coral. Nearby Coki beach has better snorkeling, but more touristy (go early morning or late afternoon to avoid cruise ship tourists. $5 parking but cheap snorkeling rentals if you don't have equipment). Both Coki and Sapphire Beach are best for beginner snorkeling. However, the best snorkeling we found on St. Thomas was at Secret Harbour Beach. Tons of coral and various fish on the far right side by the rocks. We even saw an enormous lobster and a hermit crab with a shell the size of a small fish tank! Free to park and not busy.

Yelp
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous (but can you really find a bad beach in St. Thomas?) Lots of soft white sand, clear and beautiful blue water. Great place to post up with a lawn chair and a book, and soak up the day. Quieter than the other beaches. Definitely recommend! (as I do ALL of the St. Thomas beaches!)

Sarah A.

Yelp
Beautiful beach getaway. The staff were very helpful with making our stay at the beach very easy and relaxing. Shawn went above and beyond with our expectations for the day and made our time very memorable. Would recommend 10/10 to anyone who enjoys the beach and good hospitality.

Yelp
Beautiful and peaceful beach. You can find all services that you need such as restroom, dressing room, dive shop and rentals, chairs which are not free if you don't stay in the condo resort ($9day). You have a small restaurant with a grill where u can have burgers, hotdog, chicken,... And they have drinks as well, we got rum punch with a bunch of rum lol, prices as average for the island. The beach has nice shadows under the trees where you can relax and GREAT snorkel spot.

Yelp
Beautiful beach! We tried snorkeling a bit because everyone says you can see turtles and sting ray. We didn't see any but probably didn't go out far enough. They say to head about 100 yards out from the boarded up five shop in the grassy area. I was told snorkeling is good on both the right and the far left. People usually do the reef on the right swim out to see the turtles the head over to the left.
