Sapporo Beer Garden Restaurant Valhalla Hokkaido Factory Store

We arrived too late for the factory tour as it closes after 3pm, so we decided to have an early dinner at Valhalla (yes that's the name of this restaurant). The tabehodai portions were incredibly generous. The manager and staff also looked after our dining needs very well throughout the meal.

Pretty much no English, but this wasn't a huge barrier. The restaurant is fine, but not really worth going to if you don't do the Japanese-only tour of the facility first. I did not do the tour. Came on a week day and walked from the Eniwa train station across the snow. There was plenty of space in the restaurant and I was able to order by pointing at the English language menu. There's no beer here that's not available at their beer museum in Sapporo which is a much better visitor experience, especially for non-Japanese speakers. Perfectly tasty food, Sapporo Classic on draft, but out of the way and not much to see.

Great beer and food. Went with my friends and had the All You Can Eat and Drink, meat and beer. Yes, the lamb meat is in with all other and taste great! Service was good. No English but very nice and understanding. Think you may need reservations, but since they were not busy we got in easily. Nice big bathrooms for drinking so much beer, hahaha. Handicap access and plenty of parking. We took the train and it's only a 5 minute walk to the restaurant. Enjoy!

It was the perfect meal with sapporo classic draft beer.

People come here because of Gingis khan, which is sliced lamb grilled on the korean style tabletop grill. Lamb has a unique smell and is not at all comparable to Kobe beef !! Don’t expect it to be. Get the 食べ放題 course, and just keep ordering more. Wait staff are not as smiling and friendly as in Kanto area. Beer is very good. Atmosphere is great.

Loved this spot. Great end to the Sapporo Brewery Tour. First time having Genghis Kahn, and it was delicious!

Very rude and dismissive restaurant staff. Place was barely occupied, maybe 2 of 20+ tables being used. They accepted nationals that were on the same tour as us, but refused to seat us. Definite language barrier, but we felt discriminated against. Big disappointment after a very good tour of the factory. Every thing was great until we tried to eat.

Very good food except for the mutton roll, which was very lean and tough to eat. The restaurant has poor ventilation so it is very smokey. The staff don't really know English but they have an English menu.
