I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the kindness and care shown by one of your housekeeping staff during my stay at Grand Mercure Sapporo Odori Park.
On December 12, 2025, at around 11:00–12:00 noon, shortly after I exited the elevator, an earthquake occurred. The building was shaking quite strongly, and earthquake alerts were sounding on our mobile phones. We were extremely frightened at that moment.
In our panic, we approached a housekeeper who was working in the first guest room on the left-hand side after exiting the elevator. Unfortunately, I did not have the chance to note her name or the room number she was cleaning.
Without hesitation, she stopped her work, comforted us, invited us to sit down, and kindly talked with us to help calm our nerves. Even though she clearly had many duties to attend to, she chose to stay with us and offer her reassurance and support.
Her warmth, compassion, and genuine care made us feel safe and truly touched our hearts. Thanks to her, our fear gradually disappeared, and we felt deeply comforted during a very distressing situation.
Please kindly convey our heartfelt thanks to her. We were truly impressed by her professionalism and humanity. This experience left a lasting impression on us, and we would be very happy to stay at your hotel again in the future.
