Had a wonderful 5D4N stay in the East Building at Sapporo Grand Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent. Check-in was quick, and the staff were very attentive, even escorting us to our room when we were unsure about the correct elevator. The room itself was stunning. The twin room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with all facilities in good working condition. Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, patiently assisting with all my inquiries. Buffet at Northern Terrace offered 15% discount per person as hotel guests which was a nice bonus. The hotel’s location is another highlight. It is conveniently located near Sapporo Station and is directly accessible via the Sapporo underground walkway. The walk takes about 10 minutes and is straightforward, making it especially convenient when traveling with luggage and avoiding the cold winter weather. One area for improvement would be the addition of a self-service laundry room. However, the hotel does provide a same-day laundry service if clothes are sent to the staff before 10:00 AM. Overall, a great stay, and thank you to all the staff at Sapporo Grand Hotel for their warm hospitality.

Had a wonderful stay! Our room was stunning and all of the staff were super accomodating to all of my enquiries. I even had an issue regarding my car and the staff contacted our rent-a-car company on behalf of us to help resolve the issue. The hospitality is top notch!

We stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Fantastic service and very friendly staff. Very Easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. Recommended if your looking for somewhere in Sapporo to stay.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a great time! The location is awesome, we could reach most places we wanted to see (Clock Tower, TV-Tower…) by foot in a few minutes. The breakfast was delicious, especially the „Japanese Style“ one was a great surprise. The room was modern and clean, with good amneties. Finally, the service was outstanding. Small gestures like opening the (automatic!) door manually, friendly greetings, or carrying the baggage for us to the room were really appreciated. Lastly, the lobby smelled great, with fresh flowers in the center!

I stayed for 4D3N at the East building and it was an excellent stay! The checking in was quick and I was given a non-smoking room as per my request. Do note that hotels in Japan tend to collect the full payment from non locals first but give you the invoice upon check out. The twin room is spacious, clean and all facilities are in good working conditions. Breakfast can be chosen from three restaurant. The buffet at the Northern terrance has a wide selection. The Big Jug buffet has half shell scallop and sashimi- I personally find the buffet at the Northern Terrace has a better selection. Location is excellent as it is near the Sapporo station. Maybe areas of improvement is that the chiller in the room does not have the freezer function. I also hope the toaster can be cleaned so the bread will not have black burnt bits after toasting. It will also be good if they have microwave oven in one of the level in the hotel. I hope to try the pastry in their bakery the next time I check in. Thank you to all the staff in the Sapporo Grand Hotel!

This hotel is known for hosting the famous people and is centrally located in Sapporo, which was the main reason we booked our stay. However, the front desk experience was disappointing. The staff member who checked us in was very unfriendly and unprofessional—there was no greeting, no introduction to the hotel facilities, and no basic hospitality. He simply took our passports, made copies, handed us the room keys, and said nothing else. It genuinely felt like checking into a Motel 6, which was very surprising and disappointing for a hotel of this reputation. On a positive note, other staff members were friendly and helped us with our luggage.

Rooms are bigger than the usual rooms in japan. Lounge use is free for guests with wide selection of drinks and snacks. A little bit far from the city center but walkable.

Stayed for 2 nights. Beds were very uncomfortable for American preference. Location was good and short walk to Odori Park and train station. They did provide extra soft pillows so we used those to lay on and that helped. They gave AMAZING lavender bath oil bombs and the tub was large and deep so great to soak in! AC did not get cold enough for our liking even at lowest setting. Pajamas provided were ok but a bit stiff. Coffee pods and teas were available. Staff were all friendly. Parking was 2500yen a day for hotel guests. Would have been better if that was free for guests. Also having rental bikes for free for guests would be nice too so we could ride around to explore instead of walking.
