Location- a little far from the center, although a nice area to walk around. Large supermarket is within walking distance (go there in the evening for discounts).
Staff- Super friendly, knowledgable, and English speaking when my Japanese no longer sufficed.
Dining area is incredibly spaious, almost having a bookstore/library vibe as it was super quiet and had people reading the newspaper. Outside drinks and food can be consumed. They also have a small kitchen area that may have additional items you are looking for.
Patrons- For being a youth hostel, I saw a lot of people older in age staying here. Nothing wrong with that. It just was a little surprising at first.
Bathroom/Shower- Enough of both to accommodate the travellers. They were also clean with no concerns.
Price- super affordable for a 4 bed dorm.
Downsides-There were 4 single beds randomly arranged in the room, with no small desk, partitions, lamp or other personalizations. I'm not looking for much, but providing basic amenities to travellers would be great as would be even a small semblance of privacy. Also, bed mattress was too thin allowing me to feel the springs of the mattress.
