I’m really impressed with this hostel. I’m travelling solo, and I am in a twin room. Plenty of space and everything modern.

Sadly several factors were less than ideal. For starters, having to pay for a towel is a bit ridiculous. Second, the curfew of midnight is ludicrous as there could easily be a code instead of forcing guests to be back like they are children. Third, the lack of outlets near the bed was disappointing to say the least. Fourth, the AC is set to not go below 22 Celsius, meaning the room was still hot at night. Definitely would not come back here

The location of the hostel is just 5 mins walk from the subway. And it's 15mins ride from Sapporo JR train station. The room is clean and warm enough during winter. The best part is there have a hot bath at the basement. After you spend whole day travelling around it's so good to soak yourself in a hot bath. They also have super clean shared toilets, a small kitchen and dining area. The price is consider cheap.

We booked this hostel from Nov 07-11 2018 because of the following:||1. Proximity of the hostel to the subway (about 2-minute or less walk)||2. Access of this hostel from the New Chitose Airport by Train and Subway (About 35-45 minutes total)||3. The very good hostel rate per night as compared to other hostels in Sapporo||4. The cleanliness of this hostel is relatively very good!! I can not complain!||5. The comfort of having two separate beds in the room (Not bunk beds)||6. The hostel is situated in a very quiet location. Far from main roads and noisy street||7. The onsen bath at the basement is nice and clean.||8. Overall -- I would be staying in this hostel again ||||Tip : From the subway Gakuen mae -- go to exit 2. Soonest when you exit ( either by using the elevator or the escalator) turn to your left and just immediately after the exit you will see a small ally with plenty of bikes parked --- go straight ahead and in less than 2-minutes you will see the hostel building. I hope this will help you guys alot as it is tricky to find the hostel not unless someone will teach you.

We were caught out with a mix up at our other accommodation and were redirected here. The service was fantastic and the staff were extraordinarily helpful with pointing us in the right direction when it came to using the subway, finding local shops and helping us get to the snow festival. The kitchen is rather small as they have a breakfast service in the morning. Would recommend this for those who are happy to go out for their meals

The Sapporo International Youth Hostel is a large modern hostel. It has comfortable rooms with 4 individual beds instead of bunk beds. There are privacy curtains and lockers. The bathrooms are super clean and the toilets have the high tech toilet seat warmers and other gadgets. There is a typical Japanese bath in the basement to soak in. The location is only 2 minutes from the subway station. My only gripe is the small kitchen and frig. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay here.

If you consider that this is a youth hostel, Service and facilities are excellent. However, please note that at the time I was there it was Not crowded at All, so that the Lack of shower and bathroom in the rooms themselves did Not matter that much. Another important thing: the hostel closes at 12pm sharp, and there is no way of getting in until the next morning.

Yelp
very cheap hostel but it is very convenient (2-minute walk from subway), clean and nice service (but they have curfew at midnight though) highly recommended!
