Excellent small ski resort right on the edge of Sapporo. Access can be challenging during heavy powder days (which are common) as roads become slick, particularly on the way down. Low gears on the car really help. Parking wardens are helpful and direct you to available lots. I didn’t spend much time in the Olympia zone, but what I experienced was mostly good. The green runs near the base are very wide and well groomed with excellent snow conditions, great for first timers and confident novices. There is also a nice red run toward the lower parking lot that is not trafficked much. The Highland zone delivers some great conditions and skiing although the steep part of the panorama run can be a little icy when skied out. It is also subject to erratic weather conditions which can present as a bluebird day at the summit but turn into a complete whiteout at the bottom of the run. My other slight gripe is that the green cat track back to the ski centre is awfully flat in parts. While one can build up enough speed if one takes the track in a racing stance, this is often impossible given the blind corners and abundance of children on the run, so Nordic skiing techniques get involved to get one back to base if one does not wish to send it down a black run. Overall, a great little ski resort that I would certainly recommend to anyone in the area.

We were super impressed with Sapporo Teine and really enjoyed our day skiing here. Yes it’s small and doesn’t get the same snow quality as other resorts in Hokkaido but it’s really great for a local hill. There was a decent variety of terrain and a couple of more challenging runs there as well. We’ll be back for sure.

Be aware, the magic carpet is a separate ticket, the day pass does not include it. They also stopped the majority of lifts due to wind, fair enough, but the wind stopped and the lifts never started again. Could be great, but needs better administration.

A very awesome ski field! It has many runs for all levels and the cable cars route is well-designed that I can reach any runs easily. I recommend the 白樺サンダンス run for warm-up cause it has a gentle slope to test your maneuverability. And be sure to go to the very top of the hill. The scene is astonishing and there has one beautiful run for beginner to get down for the hill. I came here on week days and it was not crowded at all. Sometimes there were only two or three ppl using one run. The cost is pretty affordable, but the equipment is not the top notch, there are not totally waterproof so i got pretty wet shoes and jacket when I use them for whole day. Overall the experience impressed me a lot. This time I only did snowboarding, I will definitely come back for ski next time. Oh, some runs and cable cars will be closed if the wind is too strong or rains too hard.

This is one of the most recommendable ski sites in Hokkaido for several reasons. First, the access is very easy. You can get to the site within an hour from Sapporo station by taking the train and bus. Second, not only masters, but also beginners can enjoy skiing. You can go there without having any ski items as there is a rental service. Moreover, there are many courses that everyone can choose where to go depending on their level. Third, the food is delicious. For those who visit Hokkaido, food is one of the biggest reasons for the trip. At the restaurant, a variety of foods are served and they warm your body cooled during skiing. Hot meal is waiting for you. Finally, the view from the top of the mountain is superb. You can see Sapporo city and the ocean. If it is sunny, the spectacle will be unforgettable. Though there are many ski sites in Hokkaido and it is difficult to swear which one is the best, I think Teine ski site is a candidate.

Beautiful views and super convenient to get to from Sapporo! We were lucky to visit on a bluebird day, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. The resort offers a great mix of runs for different skill levels, making it a fantastic spot for both beginners and experienced riders. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Sapporo!

Extremely expensive for the size and conditions of the mountain. ¥8000 for lift pass and ¥6000 for ski + boot + pole rental for old equipment. Furthermore, the chair lifts are old and worn out. The conditions of the trails are not very good. The chair lift to the peak was closed all day, so basically only 60% of the mountain was actually open. The bus schedule to and from Teine station is terrible. Worst mountain in the area IMHO.
