Everything here is amazing, the food, the service. The food was delicious and flavourful, with the just the right sized portions. The service was very quick and the servers were extremely helpful. Not many options for allergies.

Google
Good food, bad service. I waited 20 minutes after being seated for a server to say hello while I watched my server chat and do an interpretive dance with her colleague. Waiting because the restaurant is busy is understandable. Waiting because the staff would prefer to socialize is unacceptable. Eventually we flagged her down to order. No share plates for items we indicated we’d be sharing. One main course arrived with the apps. One quality check and then the bill. We interacted more with the food runner than the server.

Came here for dinner. Service was nice, no complaints there. Got the burrata which was delicious! Super fresh! For my main, I had a pesto pasta which wasn’t very good. My partner had a salmon pasta which he also did not like. Maybe we both ordered wrong 🤷🏾‍♀️

Exactly what the palette desired!! The food was incredible. Service was exceptional. Woman server was very welcoming, polite, friendly and above all, very patient with us and our indecisiveness! Atmosphere was very comfortable. Had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it!

Google
The waitress was super friendly. Great food the pasta may look like a small portion but super filling, and the sauce tasted like authentic pasta sause. I was very pleased with this restaurant we went again on the same trip.

It is nice place and an outdoor patio. It is close to board walk. Staff is great, service us quick and is reasonably priced for a tourist spot

Google
Good Italian restaurant with a French twist. Ordered the salmon tartare, mushroom and chicken pasta, and the mushroom and ham pizza. (Forgot the exact dish names) The salmon tartare was nice, i ordered it with a medium spice level which was perfect if you're looking for something flavorful without overpowering the salmon taste. It went very well with the crouton, however I wish they provided more than just 3 as you're left with over half the tartare after finishing the crouton. The pizza was very Quebec style, the cheese and dough were softer rather than the crunchy/crispy crust you'd find at a wood-fired restaurant. The toppings complemented the more neutral-tasting cheese and overall it was good. This is definitely a more fork and knife kind of pizza rather than one you'd pick up slice by slice. The pasta was decent, had a very Herby and mushroom flavor with an olive-oil based sauce. The noodles were on the softer side and the tomatoes went well with the rest of the flavors. Overall, the atmosphere was quite lively and can get a little louder but the interior design provided an old-intimate kind of feel.

Google
Nice service, servers were very friendly. We were seeking for some heavy food and we decided to get pizzas. I love pizza and I’m a big fan of cheese, and I was glad to have so many good options in the menu! I think the tomato sauce was missing a bit of salt and flavor, but that didn’t make such a big difference after I put some spicy olive oil they have there. Delicious!

Yelp
Truly a wonderful experience! The service was so friendly and helpful. We started with the salmon tartare which was delicious. I tend to not like sundried tomatoes but in this dish, I wouldn't have known they were there. We couldn't stop saying how good it was while we were eating it. We shared the fig and chorizo pizza- also phenomenal! It was the perfect amount of food for us (we weren't starving, granted). We did indulge ourselves and had a slice of cheesecake to finish off- worth it! Our drinks were also great- red sangria, espresso martini, San Pedro cocktail. Everything we had was superb! Our best meal in Quebec yet!

Yelp
Really nice staff, however the food is mediocre Lobster risotto: I've had better ones. There's indeed lots of lobster meat but the flavor is really lacking. And I don't really like the add up of lemon Flatbread: pretty basic. Nothing special Truffle fries: really crispy but I don't taste any truffle flavor. Just garlic fries Lime&basil drink is pretty refreshing. Wouldn't go again

Yelp
Quick service and good food. The rosé was not my favorite, but overall, we had a nice dinner at this Sapristi and didn't have to wait long for a table despite not having a reservation.

Hugh J.

Yelp
Best burrata I've ever had in my entire life, I'm going back tomorrow to get it again. Can't put into words how delicious it was. A truly heavenly experience. Service and duck pasta were both okay not great.

Yelp
There are 2 Sapristi restaurants located in Quebec City within miles of each other. We chose the one in the lower old town located near the river. There's a nice looking outdoor patio and multiple levels of dining inside. They serve several pasta dishes, pizzas, salads, and appetizers. We enjoyed the food and the service was good. The servers speak French and English. What we had: + spaghetti and meatballs - the meatballs were really good. Tender and very flavorful. The pasta was good but not housemade. + spinach and goat cheese salad - very good. The cheese was kinda creamy and the spinach wasn't wilty. + crème brûlée - mmmm delicious. The top cracked beautifully. It tasted like maple sugar and the cream was very creamy. Overall a good choice for Italian food.

Yelp
Very good Italian but not the best I've had Very pleasant waitstaff . As with most of QC you need rez

Yelp
Had the best gluten free pizza at this spot! The service was a bit slow and they forgot that we ordered fries as well but the pizza was delicious. Good ambience as well.
google avatar

Sami N.

Yelp
The service was very friendly, great location of the restaurant near umbrella alley. Order a sangria which was light and refreshing, and tried the Greek gluten free pizza. The pizza was your typical gluten free crust nothing special.
google avatar

Namron L.

Yelp
All our dishes were delicious & good size portion : beef mac & cheese, margherita flatbread, calamari, French onion soup, penne canard. Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has amazing reviews and I wanted to trust them. I am happy we came here because the service was the best service by far. My partner loved the bbq pizza and my fungi pizza was good, but it could have used a bit of salt in my opinion. The ambiance is great and they had a seat available the minute we walked in. I very much recommend this place! I forgot to mention we got the mozzarella sticks and they are the best I have ever had!

Yelp
This place is off the main drag but if you can get into the back garden you'll have a nice quiet time. This was recommended to us by the concierge at our hotel. I thought the service was fine! We both had pasta which i thought was delicious. Not a bad casual lunch or dinner. Overpriced? Maybe. Yummy? Yes.

Mohit K.

Yelp
Having travelled to 20+ countries, this is by far the worst experience ever. Refused to serve us in spite of waiting for over 25 minutes while others who came to the restaurant after us, were seated after us were being served. Things that make you go hmmm... My suggestion would be to avoid this place. Would give a zero if possible.

S S.

Yelp
This place is great. The spaghetti with meatballs outstanding, and very reasonably priced to boot. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great service! Good wine choice. I had a delicious Greek flatbread. My sister had the Spaghetti Pollo. Both meals delicious. Also, ordered the Creme-Brûlée dessert. Fantastic! I'd go back.

K. K.

Yelp
I wanted to love it, I really did especially since the ratings were so good. Things that were good- Drinks were delicious and reasonably priced Fries and Caesar salad were both good Waitress was very friendly It was a pretty restaurant Cons- All of the other food that we ordered was meh. The beef tartare in particular-the waitress asked us what spice level we would like 'mild, spicy or very spicy' we picked very spicy. There was no flavor at all (not even good mild flavor). Also ordered a few pasta dishes that were disappointing. If you're going for a drink and fries this is your spot. If you're looking for a great foodie spot, I'd keep looking.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and ordered the french onion soup, carnivore pizza, the duck pasta, and a seasonal creme brulee. The french onion soup had cheese and croutons (tasted roasted). This was pretty good . The cheese melted well and was tasty. The carnivore pizza was also good, the crust is thin and crispy, and the cheese is also delicious. It included 3-4 different meat toppings. The duck pasta was okay, the duck is shredded and you are given the amount of cheese you request. In my opinion, the pasta was a little bland and needed more pesto. But after reheating it, it marinated more and tasted delicious. The creme brulee is hands down the best! Its very creamy sweet, and light! Would definitely have ate two if I wasn't so full!

Yelp
Dined here on a week night they request vaccination proof before entry service was great. Wine: 10/10 sips we had the Savignon Blanc "S" which is an import from France V delicious. Hot item French onion soup: 8/10 bites. Good. Pizza Americana: 7/10 bites pepperoni, mozzarella, bell peppers, thin soft bread was good. Gluten free is available.(+3$) had leftovers that beau still enjoyed later. Great service.

Yelp
Such a cute spot right on the Main Street near Petit Champlain. I absolutely loved the decor and vibe of this place and appreciate that the menu had a bunch of vegetarian options and the staff was willing to customize some more. I got the mulled wine and it was perfectly made! Just the right hit of alcohol. We also ordered the French onion soup which was decent, we did expect it to be better. Both our entrees of the Vegetarian Pesto Tagliatelle and the Bolognese were very tasty! The service was top notch and attentive.

Wammy W.

Yelp
Duck pasta and seafood pasta were good. Would not border the calamari again though. A bit pricey. Food took a while to come out. But food was good.

Yelp
Im pretty surprised that so many elite Yelp members gave this place a 5 star rating and then proceeded to describe their food as mediocre, which it is. It's confusing to the reader, and this is NOT a 5 star by any definition. So I can clarify: I would never recommend this place for pizza or Mac-N-Cheese. The word "bland" doesn't even cut it. We actually sent the macaroni back because it was so dry it felt like you were eating pasta with no flavor, and for $19 CAD it was unacceptable. Neither one of us loved the quality of the pizza, and there's wayyyy better pizza in this city for less than $21 CAD. My Vote: Skip this. Especially if you're visiting from the US and your pizza standard is high.

LORI L.

Yelp
Food was just ok. We are New Yorkers so Italian needs to be over tge top. This place definitely was not. The service was amazing. The servers were super nice. The no AC was horrible. Its hard to enjoy your meal when there is no air conditioning and its 86 degrees outside.

S G.

Yelp
Excellent. We had a variety of flatbreads and salads as a late afternoon snack. Everything we tried was delicious. We especially loved the four cheese flatbread and the Greek salad. We also loved the rose spritzer and wound up ordering a second. Service and ambience were also good. Great place to stop and enjoy a relaxed meal.

Yelp
And Yumm, they top it all off with candied nuts. If you want something heavier, the duck is the best I've ever had. see my previous review for details. P.S- Ils nous ont donné des cartes postales avec une photo du Château Frontenac, avec notre facture. - They gave us, post cards with a picture of the Chateau Frontenac, with our bill.

Ron O.

Yelp
We visited the restaurant on a busy Friday. We were seated a little early by an open window and enjoyed Great food, Friendly staff and wonderful views of old Quebec.

Max O.

Yelp
Food was "ok" but the service was the worst. We had a late lunch (2pm), place was 10% full and I don't think the waitress gave two-shits about us...our sons food came after the other three of us were finished eating...she was also making excuses to the table next to us about the long wait. The "compensation" was an offer of a free dessert. Would not come back!

Yelp
First of all we arrived and had no reservations but were accommodated very quickly. Our hostess and waitress were very kind. And they spoke English, being that in Québec lots of French is spoken. We started with drinks, my soda water with cranberry juice and grenadine was quite refreshing. My husband ordered a dirty martini, extra dirty. I know they said it's measured but the glass did come half full. Needless to say, he wasn't very happy. First course, a Greek salad and French onion soup. Our soup stole the show, it really was savory and delicious. Then our meals arrived, the Carbonara and fig and chorizo pizza. My husband said his pie was very good, too sweet for my taste. But he said it was the perfect combination of salty and sweet. The carbonara was solid but lacked seasoning. But we did enjoy it but was a little bland. Other than that we were content ambiance was nice and we enjoyed our evening

Yelp
These fresh Vietnamese spring rolls are made with shrimp, vegetables, herbs, and rice noodles wrapped in rice paper. Below, I have listed dipping sauce options. Traditionally, the spring rolls are served with nước chấm, a fish sauce-based dipping sauce.
google avatar

Jo V.

Yelp
Service was ok, ambience nice, pizza was extremely bland and definitely not worth $25. Add Very disappointing. Place for tourists who won't come back anyhow.

Yelp
The arrabiata was delicious and spicy enough to be felt without being overwhelming. Additionally, the servers were able to get me a seat at the bar despite my mistake in not making a reservation. The location is great, the food was great, just an overall good experience. Only minor nitpick would be small portion sizes, but that doesn't matter too much.

Yelp
Wanted to try this place the first night we were here, but they said if we didn't have a reservation, they were full. So tonight I called for reservations but again they were full but she said our patio is 1st come 1st serve. When we got here, we did not feel welcomed by the host and then when we told her party of 2 she said she had no seats. Ask her about the 2 empty tables on the patio and she said "those are for 4 people". But there were other 4 person tables with only 2 people. She said we could wait, so we did. About 5 minutes, she came and ask if we wanted to sit inside, so we did. Inside was basically empty. We asked to sit by the window and she said that was reserved. Immediately following us, another couple was brought upstairs and she was going to sit them behind us and the gentleman, who spoke French, asked to sit by the window and she sat them there....... Hoping the food would be better, but we left half the bowl of pasta and we split, so that is what we thought of the food. Would not recommend this place.

Yelp
Amazing service and great food. Ordered the Carnivore pizza which was fantastic! Pascal, our server, was entertaining and very friendly, which set a good tone. Very enjoyable indeed!

Yelp
My idea of the ideal restaurant, much to my husband's chagrin, is to get in and out as soon as possible. This place, despite being fully booked, did just that. Sat down, ordered a big glass of Pinot Grigio, was in front of me in a few seconds. So impressed. We placed our order when we ordered the wine. We decided to split a couple of things. Started with a Caesar salad. Lots of shaved Parmesan. AND it came with a big slice of lemon. They know their stuff. Then we ordered a Greek pizza. I thought it was just ok, but my husband loved it. The feta seemed over Ed processed to me, and there wasn't enough sauce. Next we ordered the duck pasta. Holee was this good. I just discovered the joys of duck the last year or so. This was excellent. Like an adult Mac and cheese but with penne and duck confit, topped with arugula and more shaved Parmesan. Service was spot on. Will definitely be back the next time we're in the area but will stick to a doppio margherita.
google avatar

Eliana P.

Yelp
Bar/resto correct. Ambiance fun.

Yelp
I wish this could be a 6 star or higher. Italian cuisine is one of my favorites so whenever I'm in a different city, state or country I always try to find great Italian food. Most of the time I'm disappointed, even in Italy. However, Sapristi didn't disappoint. Very attentive and pleasant service, very cool old world atmosphere both inside and out, competitive prices, and delicious food. We ordered the Arancini for appetizer (delicious) and then we shared a Gaspésienne pizza and had side salads. Fantastic food, really an enjoyable time right there in Vieux Quebec. Highly recommend, will definitely return to one of their two locations in the city.
google avatar

Tony U.

Yelp
Sapristi is one of many restaurant choices at the foot of the St Lawrence River beneath Québec's beautiful Old Town Area. This is a family friendly Italian style restaurant that offers a little for everyone. The food quality seems pretty good though a bit on the heavy side. That could be my fault because there were six of us and I mooched a little off of everyone's dish. The atmosphere is a rustic wistful modern with gentle alternative folk music played in the background like Dermott Kennedy, Allan Brown, Vance Joy and The Head and the Heart. Service is friendly, prompt, reliable and courteous. This place is very kid friendly too. I had the Lobster Risotto Special. It was not bad though not really memorable. None of the flavors loved me. With a little truffle, this could of been great. Still not bad. I had a beef tartar side topped with watercress that was good but a little too salty. I still enjoyed it. I sampled my nephew's Americana Pizza. The crust was perfect. I'm not a big pizza eater but if you like pizzas, you'll be happy with the quality of them here. Fried Mozzarella Cheese-sticks with a side of marinara dip. Not bad, a great starter item. The pastas were doable but a bit heavy and oily to me. For dessert, we had crepe brûlée which was pretty good. Not the best I've had but good. All in all the food quality was a 3.5 rating. The reliable service bumps it up to a 4. Not a bad establishment but not one that I would need to eat at again. Still, if you're in Old Town Québec, you won't be disappoint if you eat here.
google avatar

Sam A.

Yelp
There are two Sapristi's in a small area. We went to the Champlain one which is the way to go. They have tons of outdoor seating in the best part of town which gives amazing ambience. The food was phenomenal. We got seafood pasta and duck pasta and the goat cheese salad entree to share. All 3 dishes were just right. The fresh parmesan was perfect. Our server was also super friendly and accommodating. Just make sure to get there early enough to get a table.
google avatar

Roxie G.

Yelp
We were visiting the Champlain during lunch time and decided to check out this place. Came in around 2pm so definitely not too crowded (especially in winter Quebec is not packed with visitors). We got the meatball pasta, the duck pasta and the fried calamari. Everything tastes great, and I personally prefer the meatball pasta and the fried calamari. The service is great as well. Portions were pretty big. We had to pack the rest of the pasta to go for dinner. Recommend this place if you are visiting the Champlain.

Yelp
My husband and I just got to Quebec City around 3PM and were hungry. We got so lucky with this gem! The patio is beautiful and there is a lot to see! The drink selection was excellent with a lot of variety and appetizers were perfect for what we were looking for. The charcuterie had a great selection of meat and some cheese. The bread was warm and flaky with salted butter. There was the perfect amount of sweet and saltiness. The service was excellent as well. We would definitely come back!
google avatar

Stanimir C.

Yelp
Their menu does not have a lot of variety but whatever we got was really tasty. I got carbonara spaghetti which were a bit dry, but otherwise quite good. Tried the pizza as well. You won't be blown away with fancy dishes, but certainly will have a good meal. The variety of beers seemed quite extensive. The location is good and the patio definitely contributes to a really enjoyable meal on a sunny day. The worst part, if I have to rank everything, has to be the service. It's not bad by any means, but nothing spectacular as well. Overall, you won't go wrong with that restaurant if you're in the mood for that kind of food!
google avatar

Kamil S.

Yelp
Located in a very happening area, near Umbrella Alley. The menu was extensive and the service was great. The food could be better. Flat bread was good, pasta was alright and virgin basil and lime drink definitely could have been better.
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
Solid food overall. My daughter loved her Sapristi pasta (pesto). Son loved his 5 cheese Mac N Cheese. I had the Fruitti Mari. Rich cream sauce, good flavor, not spectacular. We were happy to get a table on a very busy night. Good service!

Trevor J.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went to Sapristi, It was incredible. We sat at the bar and we ordered a Negroni and a Pesca Spritz, they both were delicious and well made by our server and bartender, Melanie. We tried our best to speak French, but the staff was amazing at understanding that it was easiest for us to speak English and they all spoke very fluent English. We ordered a flatbread pizza to take back to our hotel room. It was an amazing bistro, I would recommend to my family and friends.
google avatar

Christopher F.

Yelp
We arrived late for our reservation to celebrate our 4th anniversary, and Claude was very accommodating despite our tardiness. She had reserved an inside table near the window for us since it had been raining. We had the breaded shrimps, spaghetti and meatballs, and buffalo pizza, which were all delicious. We might've even eaten the sauce and crumbs left on the plate once the food was gone. We would definitely eat here again. Also, if you're driving there's available street parking or parking lots all within walking distance.
google avatar

Heidi S.

Yelp
Sapristi was a really nice place for dining al fresco. The menu featured a little bit of everything, and everyone in my party enjoyed their selections. I was also happy to see a French 75 on their drink menu. This isn't common outside of south Louisiana/New Orleans, and it's my very favorite. It definitely brightened my evening! I had a Greek salad because I was craving some greens. It did not disappoint, and had a good amount of toppings and was lightly dressed. Others at my table enjoyed the meatballs and spaghetti and the flatbreads. Everything was tasty! The service was also friendly, and the food didn't take long to come out. It's located on one of Quebec's adorable old streets. It's a great spot for people watching and enjoying the sights of the town.
google avatar

Evan J.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, the food was just great. We had flat bread and several pasta. They all tasted fine. I liked my seafood pasta. I tried the duck one too and it was not bad. The men's room had an awesome view of the street. It was raining this Past Sunday so the experience was even better. The reason I'm giving one star only, is because when I gave the server a $20 Canadian bill and was expecting to get changes, she gave me a $10 Australian bill and Canadian coins in return. I'm a visitor to this country and this city, I was not familiar with the look of the bills, so I asked why this bill looked different. She told me it was the old version so I accepted it. I didn't realize this until I went to a gas station and was notified by another customer there. This may be minor issue. This may be not. I know that my experience for this restaurant and the beautiful city was compromised because of what she told me and what she did. I sat on the second floor when I dined in this restaurant. It was a four person table.

Michael S.

Yelp
First to arrive on a Monday night and very noisy but as the place filled, noise became much less significant. Both had pasta, my girlfriend had Sapristi which she thoroughly enjoyed and I had stroganoff which was delicious. Service was excellent and we will return in the future.
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
An absolutely wonderful place to eat before or after touring Old Québec City. The food itself is delicious and well made, while not being too heavy. I had the Four Cheese Flatbread and loved every bite! The decor and setting is wonderful as well, with good views of the city and river.

Yelp
After giving this restaurant a second shot, I would not recommend and will likely not come back. Although the service is friendly and quick, the food is not great. Their meals lack a lot of flavour and don't seem to all be made fresh (usually in large batches kept warm). My orders for each time are as follows: The cheese pizza: I ordered this for takeout and only realized that they did not slice it after returning back to my office. This was kind of upsetting because pizzas are normally cut up into slices... the sauce lacked flavour and did not have any body to it. The lack of cheese (only pieces of cheese placed around the pizza) was upsetting as well. The dough was, however, cooked perfectly with a small char on the crust. The meatball pasta: I would honestly have preferred anything else. There was no flavour whatsoever. The meal was ready for pick up within 4 minutes or ordering it. It seemed as though the sauce and meatballs were pre-made in large batches, sitting on the heat. The meatballs were hard and the texture was off. There was absolute no flavour. As for the pasta, it was cooked nicely but the sauce had no taste as well. The overall dish was not appetizing and I did not end up finishing it for this reason. Overall, if I come back, it'll be for a drink or two, but definitely not for food.

Yelp
1. Location: located in old Quebec. 4/5. 2. Service: Very kind and well serving. Excellent customer service. 5/5. 3. Quality/Taste: We ordered a pasta, BBQ pizza, Onion soups and beers. They were excellent choice! So delicious! 5/5. 4. Atomosphere: Very contemporary and warm. 4.5/5 5. Price: Very reasonable. 5/5. ###Strongly recommend this place!
