Sara's Inn on the Boulevard

I've stayed here three times in different rooms and always enjoy my stay! The walkable location is excellent, rooms are clean and quiet, and the house is lovely. I appreciate how affordable the price is and keep coming back because there aren't hidden fees or pricing fluctuations. Booking is simple and straightforward, I enjoy the privacy of my stay, and the neighborhood is beautiful. Lots of good places to walk and good restaurants within walking distance. Parking is easy and no extra charge. I always have an excellent experience and will always stay here when I'm in Houston!

This place is a room. Just a room. The decor is cheap, inconsistent, and slightly tacky. I mean, the picture frames in the room were empty with a very obvious “5x7” in the center. The shower handle is labelled with a handheld label printer. They left an envelope on the table asking for a tip just because the room is clean. You know? Like you’d expect at a hotel? It’s cliche to say, but a tip is supposed to be for exemplary service, not for just doing your job. But on that note, it’d be easier to tip employees you can actually see. I encountered only two employees for a combined total of less than 17sec during a three day/two night stay. Neither greeted us initially, which is odd for someone demanding tips, especially when the second encounter involved being ignore completely until I said something. There’s no separation between the hotel and the event section. This meant I had a visitor to a bridal shower try to open my room door with almost unfortunate timing. Thank goodness I had locked it. It also meant that the ridiculously loud baby shower later that day resulted in the entire parking lot being blocked in by a catering van. I appreciate the room and location, but the hotel itself and the staff are a mess. Not by appearance, but purely by function. The room got three stars because my girlfriend thought it looked cute despite how small it is.

I stayed at Sara's Inn one night while in Houston for business. Absolutely wonderful! Great location, excellent communication, easy check-in. The house and room were clean and beautiful and the bed was very comfortable! I will definitely return here for a city vacation soon - very convenieatent to great restaurants and shops!

Another unique hotel that was fantastic. Nice neighborhood and beautiful place. We stayed in the Man Cave room which is part of the carriage house in the back. The room was comfortable and amazingly clean. The staff communicated everything we needed to know. It was very quiet and peaceful. Nice snacks too!

Sara’s Inn is a beautiful old Victorian Inn (which we originally thought was a B&B based on previous reviews.) They don’t offer breakfast. The location is great, the whole inn and the rooms are clean, but you can tell that the entire place needs a little TLC. Our bathroom probably hadn’t been painted in years and desperately needed a fresh coat, the gorgeous wood floors and wooden stairways need to be polished and re-sealed, and the front porch area needs a refresh. That being said, it really is a gorgeous property in an extremely convenient location and a beautiful neighborhood. With a little love from the owners and maybe returning to a B&B format, this could be the premier place to stay in Houston!

This place is perfect. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the beds are very comfortable. Price was lower than the surrounding hotels and I can’t imagine them being nicer than Sara’s Inn. They even have a full kitchen that you’re free to use and they stock it with snacks and wine. I would recommend this spot to anybody.

I have stayed here many time and love the rooms and comfort of this place. But I am SO disappointed with the service. There have been three different occasions where I booked a room and either I was given the incorrect entry code or received no entry instructions at all. No one is on site and no one answers the phone or even texts. So I have found myself locked out of this place and just putting in random numbers to try to get into the building so that I can have a place to sleep. Yesterday when I couldn't reach anyone, I put in my old code from a different time when I stayed there and it worked. I was happy to get in but extremely worried for my safety since the door code hadn't changed in months. Management needs to step it up here because it could be a great place.

Highly recommend this inn for staying in the Heights neighborhood in Houston. ||I stayed at the Inn for four nights, from Dec 26-30, 2024. ||The Inn has great curb appeal as well as interiors and the common areas, including the front parlor, are exquisite. There is a beautiful grandfather clock in the parlor that is breathtaking. ||We also loved the decorations for Christmas, including a large tree and large and small nutcracker statues. ||This Inn provides a great value. The cost is incredibly reasonable and there is maid service daily if desired. As you read in other reviews, it’s not a B&B which means no breakfast is served. But there is a coffee machine in the common area behind the kitchen. It’s an Inn, not a B&B, to be clear. ||Pros: Location (in the upscale Heights neighborhood), value, beautiful inn in Victorian style, quiet, little to no interaction with other guests or staff (that’s a plus for me), coffee machine on main floor next to kitchen. ||Also: room is comfortable, bed is comfortable, bathroom is small but efficient. ||Cons: Room is small and we wished for nightstands on both sides of the bed (as opposed to on one side only).

Always a WONDERFUL Stay at Saras Inn They have an amazing team running Saras Inn! Very nice and courteous of our needs. Beautiful rooms. Very clean. Built very well! Clean beds! Clean bathrooms! Clean AIR! Big props to the cleaning staff! 10/10 ‼ Ive stayed here 2 times now. The rooftop suite and the mancave. Rooftop suite is badass. Mancave was cozy and comfortable. Amazing place to spend a couple of days. Unique and lovely restoration! We were in the carriage house apart from the main house. Great area and it was so quiet and refreshing.

An extremely unpleasant experience here. Lesson learned we are sticking to established hotels over "boutique inns." First don't trust the Instagram pictures - the reality is it's an old building that does not ventilate well that's been painted over who knows what and has that musty moldy dank smell of damp with cheap peeling paint just ew. Second the innkeeper we had was possibly the rudest person we've met. She was on the phone when we walked in to check in and saw us waiting in the lobby. She continued making calls in the foyer area so we assumed she was not the innkeeper as she was blatantly ignoring obvious customers waiting in the lobby to check in. Later after 15min waiting to check in I politely asked if she knew where the innkeeper was in between her calls, assuming she was a fellow guest. Then was rudely informed she is at which point I asked simply: did you not see us waiting? To which she threatened we can leave for another place if we gave her attitude. The only person with attitude was her as I was asking a valid question after waiting for 15min while she made MULTIPLE calls about booking reservations. Shows you they care only about GETTING your business and don't give a shtt about their actual customer SERVICE. It was a busy holiday wknd so we couldn't rebook another stay so suffered through the three days here. The last night before checkout she texts there is a fire marshal inspection that morning and we need to leave at 10. Claimed they don't control those times lol like inspectors don't offer business owners a set of times that work for their schedule or notify them the night before. No, that inspection was schedule way in advance and was sprung on us the night before rather than informing guests of the potential disruption like oh I dunno any other legitimate business. Wont say more bc I think the business responses to negative reviews on here and Google speak for themselves on their poor attitude and approach to in customer service overall though Karina was the hex we suffered. Rude, unprofessional, unreliable and unpleasant -- then actually has the shameless gall to hold your booking over your head the day you arrive on a busy holiday wknd - just bc you dare to point out their poor customer service keeping guests waiting 15mins to make inquiry call after call. Not just unprofessional but just wretched person. Lesson learned - stick to professional hotels!

Bed and NO Breakfast. When I stay at BNB I expect to be pampered a little. This was just a bed. The bed was comfortable, and room was clean but needs some little repairs and updating. Breakfast places are always super busy in the area so having a breakfast available would have been nice. No coffee maker in room but there's a small frig. If you stay here and like breakfast, you'll need to get up early to avoid waiting in long lines.

This was a great experience. We stayed in Floral. The room was large and very clean as was the bathroom. The bed was comfy. The staff we came in contact this was friendly and professional. I would send a friend to stay here and would return on a future trip to Houston.

What a lovely B&B in the perfect location for those wanting to check out some of H-Town's "cool hang-outs," or just be in an area that makes it easy to jump on various freeways and get to your destination. I had an overnight business trip and was thrilled when I saw what fellow Yelpers had to say about this place. I fully agree that this is a beautiful, clean, quiet B&B located near freeways, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Of course, since it's in the Heights, you can walk to a lot of places. My room had all the amenities of a hotel room, including cable TV and complimentary WiFi. The pictures I took didn't capture the charm of this B&B. The photos on Sara's site are accurate. Because we are still in Covid times, understandably, they are not providing breakfast. But, they did provide bottled water; a machine that makes coffee, lattes, tea, and hot chocolate; and wine! There is also a free parking lot for small/compact vehicles. Larger vehicles are asked to park (for free) along the street. Shhhhhh.....let's keep this spot a secret so they always have a room I can reserve. LOL! Oh, I ended up checking in late, so I did not meet the proprietors, but I did interact with someone via email, texts, and a phone call. That person was very polite.

Wonderful stay! Had a slight snafu with checking in but Karena was an incredible host and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be coming back to this place. Love the Houston Heights neighborhood and this will definitely be our home base on our return trips to Houston.

Had wedding here and guests stayed in every room. All are gorgeous, each with very distinct character. Bedding is new and of high quality cotton. Furniture in excellent condition. Bathrooms well maintained and from Cody but beautiful to downright opulent with stand-alone soaking tub and walk-in custom showers. Service is amazing. Event space decorates itself, there are very good onsite kitchen and bar facilities. Most of all Paulina the Manager attended to every request we had and was exceptionally gracious, giving us more than we asked for when she could. There are lots of rules she must enforce due to the neighborhood, law, and ownership of the location concerning quiet hours, acceptable use of the property and management of the rooms from the hotel side of the buisiness; she is firm on those. But she helped make the event a success. She helped our vendors set up and clean up, she gave us extra ice for free, she allowed us flexibility getting drinks & supplies in before and stored our items in a locked room. She even brought extra dessert to our room after the party. These and many other little services made our stay and event better than expected.

Beautiful place and very clean. Wonderful neighborhood. We loved sitting on the front porch, enjoying the thunderstorm.

I stayed in the Man Cave. The furnishings were appropriate, right down to the books on rifles and baseball. But there was no air conditioning that I could find, in spite of two large a/c heat exchangers outside the room door. There was a small room heater which I tried, but could not get it to turn on. I had to stand on a chair to reach the ceiling fan pull switch. There is a wall switch for the ceiling fan and light but not separate controls, aside from the ceiling pull switches. On the positive side, the bathroom with walk-in shower was quite nice. The large bed was comfortable.

Beautiful place and area, very clean and well maintained. Everyone there was very helpful and kind. Unfortunately, there is still no breakfast which I don't understand if restaurants are open, and the Inn was not in any way sold out. A minor inconvenience was the coffee machine is located in the area where they hold events vs the kitchen. This makes no sense, and I was not allowed to use the coffee machine during those events. Do events take precedence over guests? They ran out of snacks or were not mindful and the wine must have been rationed. Please folks, be generous if you're not going to include breakfast.

We had an enjoyable Friday night for our anniversary.. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Within a short walk we had a lovely breakfast at a local eatery.

We hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner here. Alex was super awesome! She really was accommodating and had everything in place ready for the caterers to come in and for us to decorate. My family really enjoyed the atmosphere. I would definitely use this place again for any bridal showers, baby showers or any type of small party.

We were very pleased with our cozy comforts while staying at Sara's. Our room the balcony sweet had plenty of room to move around in and feel like as if were were right at home. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They offered awesome advice and helpful hints to make our stay in Houston that much enjoyable. I can truly say we will soon return to enjoy this hidden gem in the Heights area of Houston...

What a wonderful spot in the middle of the Heights! This place is perfect for wedding parties needing a spot for the weekend. It would also be great for baby showers, wedding showers, birthdays, gender reveals, etc. The owners are wonderful and the manager, Alex, is such a gem! She hosted our friends wedding party with a smile the whole time. If you're in need of a spot for family or friends, look no further.

My wife took care of most of the talking so my understand my assessment is based off that. I will start off saying this is a beautiful place, inside and out. Rooms, reception area, dining area.....all beautiful. However the day of the wedding, my friend arrived around 2-3 PM to set up our chuppah, didn't take long, then went back home to get ready. Around 4:30, he arrived back and called me asking if I needed to set chairs up and tables. Around 5pm, my out of town guest started arriving and I already had a list of who goes where but rooms assigned to me were 2 off so that messed up the beginning as well. I arrived around 5:15 to chairs and tables being set up by, well, everyone. The staff, my groomsmen and all. /sigh I get dressed and come out to the staff members handing bags to my freaking groomsmen. THIS IS THEM PROVIDING THE SIVLERWARE AND DISHES. But we are getting pressed on time so my people take care of me and help out. Mind you, this is their (Saras) set up. Should have been set up, already done before we got here. So we set up the tables, line up the silverware and assign the tables. Everyone is thirsty now, we bought lemonade and tea and..........no lemonade or tea. Fast forward past the ceremony and reception, clean up. Because of the earlier prepping, I thought we was in charged of clean up. I even asked the manager for bags and he asked me what for, to which I replied cleaning up and instead of saying my (Saras) team has this, he showed me where the bags were!!!! So we are cleaning up, bringing dishes to the kitchen (to which they don't even know where they want us to put it) and we run past time limit to which they were about to charge us but after hearing our complaints they said they wouldn't charge us for over staying. But no credit, for doing a lot of their work. /shrug Oh well

I stayed here for a wedding, my room was the Grande luxe it was amazing! the bridal suite was beautiful and had a private balcony. the venue for the wedding the BEUTIFUL! only needed centerpieces because the venue itself has a wonderful aesthetic. Alex was great and her hospitality could not be matched! I also got to see many other rooms as i had family staying here as well and they were all wonderfully unique.

We have stayed at Sara's Inn several times and LOVE it. Excellent location, reasonable rates (especially compared to chain hotels!), beautiful decor, comfortable beds, very responsive HVAC, good water pressure/temperature. Things one can't take for granted anymore! Now I just can't wait for them to serve breakfast again... One work of caution is that the rooms ARE different sizes so just pay attention to what you're requesting and needing. For instance the Royal Damask room is quite small but there are larger ones!

My fiancé and I had an extremely disappointing experience with the Belamour. I reached out to The Belamour in Mid-November about having our rehearsal dinner here this summer. John responded letting me know that I would have to check back on the availability once we are 6 months out but confirmed that the three-hour venue rental listed online is available (see image) for a rehearsal dinner but would have to end by 9PM unless we rented rooms in the main house. This was great. I reached back in January 2022, just 6 months before our event and Alexandra confirmed that I was in luck and the date was available, but the charge would be $1,500. I explained to Alexandra I had been given a price of $700 confirmed by John which I included on the same email chain. Alexandra responded, "the price must have changed". However, the changed price was not online or communicated. We explained this is over double the original quoted price from two months ago. In addition to the fact online it states three-hour venue have a base price of $700 and this is what John confirmed to me as well. Alexandra explained this is a "day-time" price and for events for only 30 people. I told Alexandra my email from John stated this is for up to 50 people. Alexandra said, no online it states these events are for 30 people (please see screenshots below of what is online). Even though the price and venue count was confirmed via email and is still listed online, the Belamour is unable to honor this price or offer any flexibility. The staffing seems very unaware/unapologetic and constantly changing their minds. I believe it is extremely unprofessional to quote me one price and then over double the price with absolutely no explanation or proof. I have attached online pricing and my email conversation below. My fiancé and I are both extremely disappointed and hope no one else has to deal with such unprofessional service. Especially, when we were excited about this venue and looking to book once we were 6 months out. This comes across as false advertising, disrespectful and unprofessional. I just want to make everyone aware of this.

A well appointed pleasant surprise in the heart of the eclectic and ever changing Heights area of Houston. Within walking distance or a short Uber ride to a large variety of restaurants and pubs. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was wonderful. We stayed in the Paradise suite which had excellent amenities. If you are looking for a place to stay and want to be in the middle of the vibrant Heights so you can be near to all that area has to offer, this is the place, whether for a short overnight or a long term stay.

This was the BEST little place. We stayed in the Man Cave room and the bed was so comfy. The room smelled amazing, and was squeaky clean when we arrived. The lady serving breakfast was THE SWEETEST PERSON and the service was phenomenal. Food was tasty and the variety was awesome. Coffee, espresso, lattes, hot tea selection, yogurt, and snacks like nuts and crackers available at all times. I'm not a drinker but theres also wine available all times too. Will definitely be back.

Love, love, this place !! The Inn is clear all the employees are wonderful. The breakfast is yummy and made with love, the afternoon brownies and wine is amazing!!! The Inn is 15mins to the downtown, midtown and I feel like everything. The Heights has amazing restaurants & bars !!! I strongly recommend everyone to stay here and I am confident you will have a pleasant time!

We were looking for a place to set up our relatives for a death in the family. My Aunt and her daughter came down to support my dad and myself from the loss of my mother and wife of 52 years. They were treated with such care and respect it meant the world to us. They even took in the consideration of my cousin's breathing concerns and moved them to a different room downstairs. Anytime that we are planning relatives, friends, or just to get away from our own home we will look into staying here first and always. Thank you so much for everything. The Zievert's

We were in Houston for the weekend to attend the white linen event in the Heights. The location is perfect because you can walk to so many restaurants and shops. The Inn is lovely and the staff is super nice. The breakfast is delicious. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

This is the nicest place I have ever stayed!! I can't say enough - they let us arrive super late, and then extended our check out in the morning. They upgraded us from the room I reserved to their luxury suite - which let me tell you is LUXURY in every way. The property is gorgeous, attention has been paid to every detail. Everything is spotless. It's lovely and quiet, safe neighborhood, coffee shop 2 blocks away. The complimentary breakfast deserves an additional 5 stars. The dining room is GORGEOUS, everyone is so friendly, and the breakfast spread is unreal. 5 kinds of homemade muffins, fresh fruit, fancy coffee, tea, juice, anything you could want. Plus it comes with the sweetest older lady who will cook you anything you'd like off of the menu. What else - the bed was so comfortable, bathroom so gorgeous and clean...parking lot easy to find and so convenient. I couldn't recommend this place more.

Cozy Inn right in the heart of Houston. Traveling for work and I usually stay in a regular hotel. Decided to switch it up and support the local guys. I'm am glad I did! Such a wonderful Inn with great staff. Never staying in a big chain again when coming to Houston!

Great for sleeping, not for weddings as the only problems I had on my big day were Sara's Inn staff related. Not setting up their chairs and then enlisted only one guy to set up 30 minutes before wedding. I want to express how terribly disappointed I am in the service we received during our big day. Firstly, Jessica was incredibly rude. She was snappy to anyone who approached her. For example: when I asked her which rooms were available so that we can assign them. She answered: "You don't know that? You're supposed to assign them." Then, I reminded her each room had a different name and style, and we didn't know which were available, and we offered the Queen Anne room and found it to be a storage room. Jessica said, "Ugh! I don't know let me call Alex. Alex was supposed to do this." When I asked for cake plates, Jessica said all supplies are in the kitchen and instructed me to look in there. So, I had to dig around in there. I spoke with Jessica, and she informed me her frustration was in part due to being charged with an event she did not coordinate and had no idea what was going on, and everyone is asking her questions she couldn't answer. She dismissed my guests when they engaged her. I was under the impression that Sara's Inn was in charge of the set-up and tear down of all chairs and tables. However, the ceremony room was not set up at 5:00 PM, so the bridal party had to set up the white folding chairs. We were told that Sara's Inn would set up the ceremony room. The lounge chairs were still in place. My stepdad had to ask for the folding chairs, so I am not sure the staff present was aware a wedding was occurring on that day. My bridal party and a few guests were stressed out and sweating, trying to shuffle to get chairs set-up and in place. The transition of the ceremony room to high top tables/sitting lounge also happened quite slowly, and there was no seating provided in the area as discussed. High tables and seats were to replace the ceremony folding chairs, this happened gradually, and by the time it was completed, it was almost time to end. In the reception area, we were missing an entire table and chairs set-up. There was no lemonade, water, and iced tea station as we discussed leaving the breakfast beverage station set up when we came in for rehearsal, and you stated that would work. The rooms proved challenging to assign without the names of the rooms we were to assign. We knew the Empress room and Le Petite Paris were not available; however, we gave out the Queen Anne room to discover that one unavailable as well. The toilet in the Grand Lux room needed service. The chef did not clear the plates when guests finished eating even though we were told: "Our chef will replenish the Brussel sprouts and rice on the buffet area, as needed. We will have the beverages (lemonade, iced tea, and water) set-up at a station for guests to help themselves to and will refill the dispensers, as needed. She will also clear plates when your guests are finished eating." So, I had to clear the tables of plates. I am sure I am leaving something out. I was quite overwhelmed with completing tasks left undone by your staff and underwhelmed by the service received.

This review is overdue, but better late then never!! My sweet neice got married!! I cannot believe she is old enough, I remember when she was a rosy-cheeked baby bouncing on her auntie's knee! In case you are wondering, she picked a good one. We stayed at this Inn when we came to Houston with some relatives. Sometimes it's good not to stay at Mom and Dad's, even if you're invited, you know?? This was the perfect place for us. It is a charming Victorian Inn with lovely staff and is super clean. It is also quiet despite being the middle of a big city. You do need a car to get around if you want to expand your sights beyond the inn, but there are shops and restaurants within walking distance which was hugely helpful and convenient. Also since we like to exercise we were pleased to discover a running track across the street. If you're an early-morning runner you can get back in time for a delicious breakfast, which comes with the price of the room, and is all-you-can-eat. (And that is a lot!!) We didn't need dinner recs since our family lives here but the owners were kind enough to suggest local restaurants. Overall, the rooms are well appointed, clean, and pretty, and it was a good trip. This is a nice place to stay in Houston. We miss Texas. Any day now, and we'll be back... see y'all again soon!!

Stayed here for a wedding and reception that was held here as well. This is a beautiful facility. They have the Victorian look but also some modern features such as our room's shower. Modern, walk-in shower with "rain" type shower head ( our room was the Floral Suite), very relaxing!! Our room, reception/ dining room was very clean! There was no dust under the bed, nor between the night stand, around picture frames, etc. (yes, I'm the type that inspects EVERYWHERE). I was impressed with the care and detail of the renovation of our room. From the wallpaper, paint, trim work was done so meticulously well. The Innkeeper that was there during our stay, Alex, was very hospitable. Getting ready for a wedding can be very hectic, but she was always around to answer our questions and offer guidance. I could tell that the newlyweds were appreciating of her as well. If not for the wedding being held here, I'm not sure I would have found this place on my own since I'm usually an 4-5 star hotel type. We are very pleased with our stay at Sara's Inn and hope to be back soon!

Sara's Bed & Breakfast Inn in the Heights was perfect for us. We booked on line, were able to access the facility and our room on our own with the code provided. Couldn't have been easier. The location was on the main drag, but the room was quiet enough, even though it was in the front on the first floor. We only stayed one night, but breakfast was very generous, and the attendant was a very charming lady who made it quite clear that there was no way we could eat enough to make her happy! The spread was plentiful, and yet she still offered to cook us up anything that we wanted hot. We picked it for the location since we had tickets to the Obsidian showing of Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens. Very happy with our choice!

Wonderful, wonderful place! I got a room for my sister, who was kind enough to come to houston to help me out because I broke my leg. The room was great, she said, the shower was wonderful, the neighborhood lovely, and a place to get good coffee close by (although I think the inn has a cappuccino machine). I'll definitely get rooms here for future visitors. Also, I should note that the manager/owner was very accommodating! :)

I totally enjoyed my stay at this charming, clean, beautiful Inn. I loved that there was a walking path just out the front door that was safe with many walkers and allowed me to see all the beautiful homes. I was here for work and it was a nice, quiet change from a hotel. The breakfast and sweet lady that ran the breakfast were amazing.

Great place to stay when I'm in town working or visiting. It's safe, spotless, and walking distance to coffee, restaurants, yoga and shopping. There is a running track right across the street. They have different sizes of rooms and pricing. Breakfast is included as are the snacks and beverages in the afternoon. Free water bottles in the mini fridge. They don't allow pets or smoking so you won't have to worry about allergies. They have their own parking spaces included in the price. Their wifi is great and not an extra charge. The Heights neighborhood is a charming place to visit. You can't go wrong at Sara's Bed and Breakfast.

I've stayed here 4 times in the last year and a half. Each visit has been stress free! I love the old house and the staff that I have interacted with have all been very professional. Shout out to John for coming and checking me in on a last minute booking even though he was off for the night already. Excellent service!

This is a really lovely place to stay. The house is beautiful! My bed was SO comfortable. It's walking distance to 19th Street, with all its shops and restaurants, which I really enjoyed. And if you walk in the other direction, there's a great, large antique store. Wine and brownies are always available in the kitchen (BIG plus!), and the breakfast is abundant and delicious. (Try the grits.) I highly recommend Sara's; it feels like a home away from home.

Stayed at Sara's Inn for my daughters wedding. Super clean and very well maintained. Comfortable beds and well appointed room. Awesome outdoor porches for relaxing. Check in was super easy. Staff was a 10 out of 5!! Great location to easily get to all the Heights has to offer.

Sara's is an elegant Victorian B&B in the historic Heights section of Houston. It is the very picture of what you would expect from a top-tier establishment. We spent 4 days here for a family event and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Allston Room, which is a suite including a bedroom, sitting room, bath, and private (large) balcony. The location is walking distance to some very nice restaurants and shops. The Heights is a beautiful neighborhood full of pre-war architecture. But it *is* Houston, which means things are still spread out and you will need a car. Luckily, parking at Sara's is ample. I will stay here again, next time I visit my brother. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

This house is STUNNING! We got married 1/23/16 at a venue around the corner and decided to stay here for our pre and post wedding. We stayed in the Dallas room and we couldn't have been happier! The bed was so comfortable, and the tub was a wonderful luxury for our wedding weekend. The breakfast room had a wonderful spread (their coffee machine makes any Keurig look like a joke!), and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I also want to add that the late/self check in made everything SO easy for us. It was so nice having check-in instructions via email, arriving, and getting settled in after a long day of wedding prep. No fuss at a front desk, just come on in, and make yourself at home. Wonderful! We would definitely stay again!

Amazing place, even a greater costumer service! John was very helpful and attentive. We stay in the Austin Room, totally recommend. If you want to be away from your neighbors and for having a good view as well.

Statesman room (upstairs) Sara's Inn is a lovely location and very clean home in the Heights area. Close to restaurants and fun shops. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the people jog by with children in the evening. I was there 2 nights and. My favorite things were: The sheets. Are so comfortable! I usually bring my own pillow but I didn't, these worked fine. Although there was no breakfast, there was a nice coffee machine downstairs. Several nearby breakfast spots. Kolaches was a nice treat for breakfast down the road.. The staff was. Very sweet and accommodating. To suggest:The mattress was a little too saggy for me and leaned quite a bit to one side. Some prepackaged snacks downstairs would be nice during this time. Recently we stayed in a B and B in Eureka Springs. The delivered a. 9:15 Breakfast. To our door. THat was nice. If you are hot natured, try to stay downstairs in warmer Months. It was March and 60 degrees and the Statesman. Room was very hot. Kindly they let me change rooms. Also, I don't drink red wine but that was the only choice. A white one. Would be a nice option.

The food was GREAT Thanks Ms. Jenny. The Jefferson room a/c is noisy & the lay out is a little weird. ( the sink is in the sleeping area not the bathroom). It's always nice to meet new people and B&B, instead of staying in hotels. The owner was not the most hospitable the 1st day. I think I will pass on staying there another time. The place is cute & good is great, the social part (whole reason for coming) lacking.

I love Sara's! I visited for the first time in March of this year and it was such a great visit that I recommended that my husband stay there when he's in town for work. He's now on his 3rd visit to Houston and has booked his room at Sara's! I love the location and being able to take a walk down the Boulevard looking at the amazing Victorians was so fun. Very close to some shopping areas in the Heights as well as some food places. The breakfast in the morning is wonderful and has an amazing variety!

My fiance and I stayed here to celebrate his birthday and had a great time! We needed a little getaway and this was the perfect place! We were close enough to the city to enjoy the main Houston attractions but far enough out that we did not feel like we were sleeping in a busy city. This place is stunning and so fun how all of the rooms have different themes. I picked the Man Cave room for us to stay in and it was wonderful! We both had a great time and will definitely be back for another stay-cation soon!

Lovely stay with my daughter while in town for college visit. We booked the Austin Suite. Just perfect and roomy. Everything we needed and more. Terrific breakfast as well. Wish we could have stayed longer! Very relaxing.

It is a lovely place. We stayed in the Luxury Suite which was really more like a 1BR apt. It had a full kitchen. The innkeeper was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend it.

Stayed in the rooftop suite. No complaints on the room. Comfortable and clean. The entire house was very charming. The rooftop would been fun if it had been a little warmer! Breakfast was great and the entire staff was very friendly. Overall, very unique stay. Wish we could have stayed another day.

My partner and I came back to town on a Sunday night and found that our air conditioner was broken (in the middle of the Texas heat!). We were a little past the regular check-in time but Connie was nice enough to accommodate us anyway. It was a short and sweet stay. The home and room were very clean, bed and linens comfortable, and I loved the brownies in the kitchen at night! Breakfast was a great value and the woman who cooked took care of our every need. After staying here I'm not sure why anyone would want to stay at a similarly priced hotel!

My wife and I had a great one-night stay at Sara's Inn. The location is easy to access and has ample off-street parking. Our stay was relaxing, comfortable, and quiet. I believe there were only 2 or 3 other rooms occupied that night (it was a weeknight). Breakfast was continental style with a couple made-to-order items (we got eggs and pancakes). One note for improvement: the woman who checked us in and had breakfast with us never introduced herself. I assume she was the owner, but she never told us her name! It's a little thing, but it would have felt more like an intimate B&B if she had introduced herself. We would stay there again.
