Wow Absolutely loved this place. After a day of sight seeing including the incredible Borobudur temple this was the best place to come back to. Fantastic all around. The rooms, the garden, the pool (surrounded by nice greenery), the restaurant/food but most of all the staff. Had a good chat to the manager, he was super nice. Great location... its fairly 'central'. Felt totally at peace the whole time I was there. Highly recommended. Thank you Dylan

Megalang area: best place to stay if you want to be near the Borobudur temple grounds- entrance to the historical site is just a 20 min walk and it is so peaceful here with no rowdy crowd nor noisy tourists! We felt serviced and taken-care of recommended! By the way, the hotel doesn’t serve beer but there’s a 24hr bar just right at the corner!

The staff were amazing! They helped with getting temple tickets which were sold out. The room was a bit dated, but it was massive and clean. Food was wonderful, the pool was great (had it to ourselves), and there are many places nearby within walking distance. I would stay again.

Stay 1 night to catch sunrise or Borobudur trip. Hotel located like 3 minutes walking to Borobudur ticket locket. Hotel located on the main road. Old vibes but super clean. Big portion and delicious breakfast. Service was superb. They allowed us to do early check in even before 1PM. Definitely will comeback.

I wanted to share my recent experience at this hotel, which was quite disappointing. After enjoying a double massage session by the pool, I discovered that I had misplaced my watch. When I approached the hotel for assistance and requested to review the CCTV footage, I was informed that the cameras were not functioning. To add to my frustration, the hotel manager seemed skeptical about my claim and chose to trust their staff's version of the events. Unfortunately, no compensation was offered, and I was advised to take the matter to the police. Given this unfortunate experience, I would not recommend this hotel due to their lack of adequate service and support.

Old, tired colonial styled hotel in desperate need of refurb. Rooms are old with cracked walls and dusty corners, aircon barely works and room smells like cigarette after being ‘cleaned’(suspect the cleaners were smoking). Potential to be an amazing hotel but sadly underdeliver. Price OK.||Located next to Borobudur. Buffet styled breakfast options are OK.

If you don’t want to visit Borobudur as a day trip (and I would highly recommend staying at least one night in Borobudur township) this is a very comfortable mid-range hotel in walking distance to the temple (about 750m to main gate). The hotel is quite lovely in the old style. Walkways have beautiful tiled floors & table lamps outside the rooms. The pool area is lush & pool water quality excellent. Staff are friendly and responsive. |Our ‘junior suite’ was enormous: entry, lounge with desk & fridge, large bedroom with tv & chest of drawers, dressing area with wardrobe, main bathroom with shower & toilet plus a second toilet room near the entry! Bed was firm but comfortable. A/C was good. The furnishings are a little dated but perfectly comfortable. Breakfast (in a lovely spacious dining room) was a-la-carte with choice of western or Indonesian breakfast. Personally, I enjoyed the Indonesian options & it was actually nice not to be overwhelmed by buffet choices. I tried both the nasi goreng with egg & chicken & the chicken soup (soto ayam) & both were delicious. With coffee and fresh fruit, it was a substantial breakfast. My husband went with the western options (toast, eggs, fruit) and was also happy. I had trouble booking directly with the hotel so booked via booking.com|Finally, the reception staff organised a driver to take us to our next destination (about an hour away). He was a very good driver with good English & the price was very reasonable (no mark-up).

We stayed a nite as we didn't want to day-trip from Jogja to visit Borobudur Temple. The hotel is less than 10 mins to the main entrance of the temple. It was quiet as it was low-season. The hotel is clean, the staff is efficient & friendly. Our twin room is spacious and comfortable. Ala carte breakfast was included in the room rate. There's small swimming pool at the back, it was nice to take a dip after visiting the temple. The are many restaurants within a 10mins walk from the hotel. We had dinner at the Stupa Restaurant. The price was somewhat steep but food was very good.
