Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Love the bus that takes you into town for shopping and dining. The bus drivers and nice and gives great recommendations on where to go, what to see and the best restaurants. enjoyed the firepit at night. Only wish I won at the casino. Will return for sure!

The room I stayed in was quiet and roomy. The beds were so comfortable and the shower/bathroom was clean. The only complaint might be that the shower floor was very slippery so use the mat or you may fall. Even though we were in a casino the room was very quiet.

Stopped here for the night as we were traveling and needed to rest. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was immaculate and loved the decor, beds were so comfortable. Hotel lobby was nice and easy fast check in too. Would definitely come back here when I am in the area again. Slots were plentiful and many choices too.

Everything was clean, comfy and inviting.| We enjoyed our stay tremendously.|Wood on desk is painting off a bit.| The only part which was a bit disappointing was the jacuzzi in pool area was at 88 degrees a tad cool for a spa.|The pool however was sufficiently heated and room in pool area was warm.|Great stay will return..

Was OK, at best. No valet, no doorman, no help at all. Stayed 2 nights. They don't clean your room or make to bed during the day, they left a reusable shopping bag full of towels outside of the doors. Had to leave for food because the options are 1 highly priced steak joint and a ?cafe that was closed. Not really a Casino, just slot machines, but the prices are Casino prices at $8 a beer. Rooms were alright, little outdated but elegant. Bed was decent.

Google
We go there from time to time on weekends, to gamble and have fun. My wife and I never seem to win there. The slot machines are wound to tight. They don't even let you hover, just lose. My advice is go to Rivers casino, or travel to Turning point, or world resorts casinos. Also I've been there atleast a dozen times and have never had a waitress ask if we wanted anything. It seems the place is just to greedy.

Google
Outstanding high end, super clean rooms. Casino slots looser than Vegas, for sure. Front desk staff and housekeeping staff professional and personable... Casino staff too. Love the location with the track and paddocks on the property.

We always have a good time. Great casino, rooms were clean, staff is always friendly. Over all we are happy with our stay. We will be back soon 🎰😁

Yelp
The front desk was really nice. Pretty good gym facility. Sound proof is not great.

Yelp
Payouts are slim to none. Use to be a fun place to win and enjoy but now it takes your money in a heartbeat. I can't afford to lose thousands of dollars at a time just by playing every machine and losing

William H.

Yelp
After 10 pm the casino is inundated with 18 year old. Who don't even know how to dress or behave properly. They make the older adults uncomfortable. Please enforce a dress code at least.

Charles K.

Yelp
I would've left no star if I could. There was no play on my money the first time I went. 600 out the window. They sent me a flyer telling me I had 175 in free play, a room and 75 at one of their restaurants. I got there and received a sorry our kiosks are down. Well that was that. I spent 40 too much and got out of there. I will never return unless I want to throw some money away. Also NYS is involved with it. I would've never played knowing how corrupt the state is. Less wins more money for them. Play rivers. I've had way more chances there NY is only involved with the over taxation there. When I went yesterday it felt like this place is only open to take people's social security checks.

Yelp
The day is dedicated in browsing anything and everything in the downtown and we decided not to miss this "not so far" famous casino hotel. We hit two birds on this visit, the hotel and it's connected casino plus a glimpse of the raceway. Lobby is quiet when we arrived and the staff did not question us hanging in the lobby for a short time. There is a trace that it used to be a "go to hotel" of tourists and locals during the hey day. I did not mean that it is no longer but I am talking about being the famous on its peak time. The reception area has beautiful horse racing theme decorations. I liked the carriage fitted in the end corner. The classic restroom is beautiful designed. The waiting area for guests absolutely has good ambiance. I enjoyed the few minutes of my stay. We may consider staying on our next visit especially hearing of great raceway track view . It must be during the race course season. The connected casino is a great place to visit if you are staying. I heard of great package being offered to guests. It is sad though that on a weekend visit, the casino is almost empty. It may not be the peak season yet, I'll update the review when given an opportunity to come back.

Yelp
My partner and I had an extremely good stay at Saratoga hotel casino. We got the "staycation" package, which gave us a $30 dining credit to share, and a $20 casino credit for each of us. The price of the room was already reasonable, this brought it down even further. The Four diamond hotel is beautiful. My partner is mobility impaired, so we got the accessible room. It had a walk-in shower, plenty of room in the bedroom and the bathroom. Everything was spotless, the TV had a nice picture, and the beds were as soft as a pillow. The casino has a huge selection of slot, machines, video poker, and also "video table games." When we were there, they were doing some remodeling, and there were no live table games available. The casino is closed from 5 AM to 9 AM every day. There is also an entertainment venue. Dining is limited. For formal dining, there is Morton's the steakhouse, and for fast casual dining, there is lucky, Joes. Everything from wings, to pizza, to sandwiches, etc. My partner had the Gouda mac & cheese, and the Saratoga potato chips, with a onion dip that she liked. I had the barbecue meatloaf, with the Saratoga chips on the side. We both loved the chips. My meatloaf I could cut with a fork, and it had a delicious tangy barbecue sauce. It was big enough portion for dinner, and a midnight snack. The price was very reasonable. There is also a grab and go area in the hotel lobby, with things like microwave meals, sandwiches, beer, soda, and a limited number of breakfast items Again, reasonable prices We had a fantastic stay, and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you

Shane B.

Yelp
A very nice hotel for families. The pool was nice but then I got a rash. Food is good. Shout out to the onions on the lucky joes burger. Computers are cool, Lobby is cool, horse races are awesome, why was fortunes closed? But anyways we watch the eclipse and the bottom didn't reach. But overall WORTH IT!!! 4.5 stars

Shona N.

Yelp
Staff was friendly. The casino is pretty small and only has slots and video table games. When it comes to casinos I was let down but I also am used to casinos with more entertainment and dining options with more table games and racebooks. It's close to the track and is nice enough. Just slightly smaller than I was anticipating. The crowd is also much younger than I had anticipated.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoy eating at Mortons multiple times a week, as I enjoy going to a casino and he enjoys watching sports. It seems to be that it's becoming more and more of a younger crowd. Basically 18-year-olds. I've had a couple confrontations with kids getting nasty with me and calling me old and I should go home. My most recent visit I had five boys behind me at the Racino kiosk and recording me until I turned around and I told the kid to get off my back. This is not a place for people who do not know how to act as adults dress as adults and behave as adults. The dress code for the Racino well there is not. The kids are coming in with pajama pants T-shirts, sometimes shorts, hats, sweatshirts, hoodies, and getting free soda to put whatever it is they're putting in their soda. There should be an age requirement at the door of drinking age I believe in New York is 21. The environment has been getting worse every time I'm there. I go there because it really is the only place that's local and it's attached to a restaurant we enjoy. if you're going there as an adult to enjoy an evening thing twice.

Molly K.

Yelp
It is a shithole. Water in the bathroom is cold. When and if you win you lose it back. Just pay at the door and it will be more fun. I have been donating since they opened.. STAY AWAY..........

Tiffany H.

Yelp
The hotel grounds was beautiful. The Gardenscapes is amazing. Beautiful flowers. Had a southern charm. Excellent for photos. The staff is courteous n friendly. Always appreciate a good service. Danielle at front desk made us feel welcome. Really close to the tracks. Free shuttle was available. Hotel is Super clean. It was track season so it was expensive but well worth it. The indoor pool is nice. But the chairs were not very comfortable. It doesn't lean back. Make sure you bring pool towels from yr room or you'll be like me n going up to get them in yr bikini There's coffee shop open 6am to 2pm serving Starbucks coffee n pastries. There Morton's steak house. Casino! Very nice n big. Entertaining! Nice selections in machines. Gambling age is 18. You gotta know when to quit bc they will suck yr money I ended up winning $17 which I used to get in the horses the next day.

Yelp
If you plan on staying in Saratoga Springs overnight, this is the place to be. The hub of it all! There's a casino, beautiful hotel, race track, pool, hot tub, restaurants, bars, outdoor fire pit. The grounds and gardens are very well kept. An overall classy establishment

Ruben Q.

Yelp
This is a beautiful property, oversees the racetrack. The rooms are very nice, they could use some up keeping . The hotel has a Morton's steakhouse and other restaurants. Morton's is a franchise that offers steaks at a hi end price and honestly not worth the money. Happy hour much better . So the hotel does not have a place for breakfast, anywhere u have to leave the property. It also has a very small fitness room, with 3 people it's overcrowded. So we stayed here on business, but honestly if it was pleasure I would not.....One thing I will say the staff behind the front desk are awesome , great customer service....

Ivy R.

Yelp
We saw the Groupon they had for hotel plus a $50 casino credit. Decided to stop in before purchasing. To our amazement the hotel was beautifully done. The casino was large with lots of slots and electronic games like roulette and poker. Room was beautiful and staff was amazing

James T.

Yelp
Better than expected pretty big, not like AC but I was impressed didn't win so hence 4 stars if I won 5 stars.

Sam R.

Yelp
Room was amazing. Wildly affordable in the "off season" however, front desk reminds me of "Mean Girls" - teenagers who cannot be bothered and have zero regard for the service industry they've joined. Tough market for great employees. Just be ready, there's no real charm to be expected at the front desk. Everywhere else, however, they're super nice (security, casino, restaurants, etc)

Sidney V.

Yelp
Beautiful and clean hotel. The inside is elegant and welcoming. The younger staff is very friendly and have great customer service skills. They are very helpful! The free shuttle service to downtown Saratoga is excellent and a great added benefit!!!The only con is that Morton Steakhouse bar within the restaurant closes much too early. Vapor, the bar and dancing establishment is not open everyday. The live band playing the Friday we stayed there was awesome!!! Would definitely stay again.

Tara M.

Yelp
We stayed at the casino for a night. The price was right. You are kind of close to the state park, but definitely not walking distance to down town. Check in was interesting. The girl that checked us in just asked for my ID, I had to sign an agreement, then she just gave us our room cards. Didn't tell us where the elevators were or anything else regarding the hotel. No details at all. I almost turned around to asked about the elevators, but figured I could figure it out. As for the rooms, they are big and spacious. They could be cleaned a little better. Not that they were dirty, but more that I may have a high standard for cleaning. There was dust on a lot of things, such as the head board to the bed, soap scum on the back of the sink by the faucet. Also the usb lamp outlets did not work well and the phone jack looked broken, so I'd you picked up the phone it would just fall out. One last suggestion, don't get the cheapest king room, just because you don't need something fancy or bigger, unless you want a horrible view of the room top. Lol

Monique S.

Yelp
I come to play every now and then I'm a local . I went to get a water from the bar the lady immediately looked annoyed as she was having conversation with her coworkers she gets me the water proceeds to take the money I give her and tip herself . She put my change in the tip bucked without even asking it was so rude especially seeing a water is 350 any way and she did nothing for a tip took the remainder 1.50 for herself. Also had a 90 ticket stolen from me . Instead of saying anything I won't ever go back . If I do decide to play at a casino it will be at a real one.

Yelp
We just checked out. Heading home to get a decent night sleep. First of all, our beds upon arrival were essentially thrown together. Certainly anything but "made". We rectified that ourselves and made them both in order I feel like we were getting into a fresh hotel bed. Second, the bathroom sink stopper (plunger) to close the drain was completely broken. Basically all the used water would just sit and back up ( think spit from toothpaste and teeth brushing, major yuck!). I waited patiently after my husband brushed his teeth and washed his face in order for me to use the sink. Sleep was non existent overnight as our room (number 309) looked out over the roof of another building that had heating equipment. We heard what sounded like an 18 wheeler big rig parked outside our window ALL NIGHT LONG. Absolutely exhausting night. When we checked out we spoke to the front end manager, Hannah Macintosh, who was anything but helpful. She essentially blamed us for not calling the front desk. Then proceeded to give us her business card, saying "next time you are here reach out to me". What she was saying was, hey come spend more money and maybe we'll do something for you then, but the fact that you already spent money sucks for you! I found the whole interaction to be incredibly disrespectful to paying customers. We really enjoy coming to the casino, we decided to this overnight as a treat to ourselves. Next time we will skip the hotel or go to one in town!!

Yelp
First time Guest, I purchased this stay with a Groupon. This was a very easy check in. All information was provided by Groupon. $50 pending on your card for incidentals. Didn't dine at Morton's Steakhouse since I had a previous bad experience in the one at Atlantic City one. The casino is very full during the day the senior citizens don't play with their machines. The bar is not open in the casino. You can not drink in the casino. If you purchase a drink at Morton's the will not allow to bring the drink into the casino. At night you have a better chance to play on the machines. The room was clean and beautiful. The staff was very friendly the pool areas was hot and comfortable.

Marina M.

Yelp
I stayed here for one night through a Groupon deal and really enjoyed the hotel. The rooms are very modern and clean. They come with all the amenities you need and I love that they also had a mini fridge. The bed at this hotel was so comfortable I had trouble getting up in the morning! All the staff we encountered at the hotel were polite and friendly. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants on premises but we did use the casino and that was a little sad and small. I think we're just using to larger casinos at home. Overall, I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Margaret B.

Yelp
We made our reservations one month ago and today I had to cancel our stay from April 11 - 15 due to my serious medical condition that I just came home from the hospital. The manager refused to give me a refund for the first night stay saying it was policy to give 72 hours notice for a refund. He was not interested in my reason. So I am now out $171. which I will not need for medical bills. The manger was not friendly and show no compassion. I have never had the experience of needing 72 hours notice to cancel.

Yelp
My husband & I followed my husband's favorite band SlipKnot to Saratoga Springs New York. It so happened to also be our 20th Wedding Anniversary so we decided to stay here at the Saratoga Springs Casino to celebrate. We checked in on a Weds & departed on Saturday. On our first day we of course were tempted to play on the casino floor before our concert. We were pleased to see that we were able to catch a bonus on the majority of the slots we played & the payout was much better than to be expected. We play at our local casinos Foxwoods or Mohegan and never get bonuses or payouts as often as we had here. It definitely makes the gambling experience more enjoyable that's for sure. Something to keep in mind, we found that Wednesday was the best day we had gambling. Thursday not so much & come Friday, forget it, you were lucky to get one bonus. One thing my Husband & I noticed on Wednesday is that the average age of the guests was about 55 & older. We saw very few people our age on the floor but of course we didn't mind. Friday night on the other hand was a different story. The mood changed from relaxed to loud and action packed. While many reviews you'll read will talk about the outdated decor of the Casino, my Husband & I personally found it to be quite charming. We're old souls so we can appreciate decor from the past. The machines are as well a bit outdated but nevertheless enjoyable to play & serve their purpose. One bummer though, the bar is pretty tiny & is tucked away far in the back of the casino so plan to get lots of exercise if you plan to have a few cocktails & check out the slots. Onto the hotel itself. Our room was large, modern, and very clean. We had a nice view of the horse track. The bed was unbelievably comfortable & the pillows absolute heaven! So much so that we're actually purchasing that style of pillow for our home. If you're looking to get a great night sleep while traveling to Saratoga Springs, this place is it! The bathroom is spacious but my gosh BE CAREFUL when taking a shower. They provide a mat for the shower floor but it's very small and only takes up a small portion so should you step off you're putting yourself at risk of having a serious fall because my gosh is that shower floor slippery when wet! I almost took a fall & forewarned my husband to be very careful. With the average guests ages being between 55 & up I'm surprised extra measures weren't taken into consideration when designing to shower. The Buffet was, well, a combination between Hospital Food & Cafeteria Food. While there is an o.k. variety to choose from sadly most of what you have to eat will be either too chewy, undercooked, or stale. I wouldn't recommend eating there. There is a Steak House that opens after 5pm that looked promising. Although we never did get to eat there it came highly recommended. We decided for the remainder of our stay we'd eat downtown. Overall we had a pleasurable experience here & would recommend anyone looking to stay in Silver Springs to stay here. Although 3 nights for us at a Casino was a bit much & might choose someplace else the next time the winds blow us out this way but will be sure to pop in this charming Hotel/ Casino. Good luck!!!

Tracey K.

Yelp
I love this casino! It seems like they have a lot of people that hit pretty big here. I am still waiting for my turn but I am not disappointed from my last couple of visits. I am not a big loser but I am not a big winner either. I was winning enough to play all day though. We ate at the buffet which had American food, Asian food and Italian food. I opted for Asian mostly. Lo Mein and stirfry vegetables that had lots of garlic flavor which I love. I did sneak over to the American side and got some mashed potatoes and gravy which were really good. They are remodeling right now and it looks really beautiful in the new areas. Lots of new games too!

Leigh M.

Yelp
Honestly, my experience with this hotel was so unbelievably frustrating and I am so disappointed. I booked this hotel as a gift for my Father and Stepmother. I was explicitly clear when I booked this reservation that it was a gift. I asked over and over and overrrrr again that my father not know the amount of the room and to not receive a receipt in anyway. I was assured this would not be an issue. I asked if he would need to provide a credit card at check in and I was ASSURED it would only be for incidentals and would NOT be charged. I literally called a total of 3 times to ensure this. There was even a note on this reservation to not share a receipt. I also included in this gift a cheese platter to be in the room upon arrival. My dad and stepmother visited, had an ok time except a lot of things were closed as it was "off season" in September. No racing, a lot of restaurants not open. The real issue here is that my dad ended up calling me a week or two later and told me that he was charged 600.00 on his credit card and gave me a hard time for buying him such an expensive gift (this was not the full amount of the room, this was a portion of the cost which made it even worse in his eyes). I was appalled. How could this happen when I was so clear?! I asked if he gave his credit card and he said yes but the receptionist assured HIM that is was just for incidentals and would not be charged. I immediately called the Hotel and asked what happened. The answer was "oh I think the note that said all that was in reference to the cheese platter". WHAT?! I was furious. The apology I received was "sorry about that, looks like you were only charged for the first night and then your dads card was charged for the rest. If you give me a credit card we can charge you instead but he'll have to call and give us his info so we can refund his card." Not only was this the most insincere apology I've ever received, my dad now knows the cost of the room, it took away from the sentiment of the gift, NOW my dad has the headache of calling to deal with this himself. I was explicitly clear when making the reservation and am completely appalled with the turn of events.

Yelp
Newly remodeled off the beaten path from downtown Saratoga. Rooms were decent and equipped with a refrigerator. Bar closes at 9pm on a Friday night when they had rooms booked for a wedding?!?! Morton's was closed all day?! Only a cafeteria to eat at?? No beverages allowed at all in the casino?!? I admit I forgot and had ONE cigarette in the morning of checkout in the bathroom, but I received an email with an extra $250 charge and a threat to increase that fine if they couldn't get the smell out of the room. My mistake for the cigarette but $250 and a threat to increase the charges? Boring hotel with decent rooms.....not a place I'll be returning to

Jacqueline L.

Yelp
This review is of their casino only: Went here on 7/25/2022 with my family. First off if one doesn't look 18, you will show your id at the entrance, and this is situated throughout the casinos entrances and exits. so if you walk into the hotel part, one may have to show their id again. I do think they should just stamp your hand so that they know one is of age, i know other casinos which do that. They have lots of slot machines, and video roulette, craps and blackjack. i played some friends slots, but feel like FB games are better when it comes to slot games as there are more combinations, and winnings. My parents played slots and roulette tho. We went to Lucky Joes to have some snacks before dinner. We ordered the Vegetable Spring Rolls, Chicken Fingers, and Personal Cheese pizza pie. All the food was good, although this place is more a fast food place. The eating area of Lucky Joes faced the racetrack, so it was cool to see the racetrack there up close. Places and grounds were also very clean, which is good. they also have plenty of santizer stations around, which helps. overall nice clean place and hopefully will be back next vacation.

Reed B.

Yelp
I saw another review describe this casino as "sad and small" and well, that fits it perfectly. Low ceilings, tiny bar that is hard to find in a back corner, decor that is straight out of the 80s even though it is not old and non existent cocktail servers. I'll pass! While I realize that this is really the only option in the area, this is a very poor version of a regional casino. Even brightening up the place and making the bar more of a centerpiece would do wonders. Only highlight? Lots of parking and it's smoke free.

Emil S.

Yelp
Clean rooms friendly staff and perfect rates for a night. Casino is full of slot machines plenty actually. Will deff come back.

Maureen C.

Yelp
Friendly and efficient staff/customer service. Our room was really nice and large with great lighting, however the dresser drawers were kind of dirty. Also our ice bucket was still wet inside from the last room occupants... fortunately they corrected that and brought us ice (and apologized) quickly. Would come again

Yelp
My experiences here were absolutely mixed (to say the least). I stayed here for 2 nights on the way back from Montreal to NYC. Based on the fact the hotel itself wasn't very old (only a year or so) ... it seemed like a good bet. Here were the pros and cons from my recent visit. PROS: - The rooms are clean, well-appointed, spacious - The bed was very comfortable. So were the sheets, blankets and pillows. - The bathroom was clean (though the shower was meh) - Lots of parking - You get a decent view of the racetrack (on the side I stayed at) CONS: - The service of this hotel is extremely inconsistent (more below) - The casino portion is old and feels dingy (since it's far older than the hotel) - Food choices are bad Generally the stay itself was fine. The rooms were definitely the best part of the whole stay. Our room was clean and the bed was nice. I slept very well during the two nights I was there. The biggest issue I had was the mixed service. Upon arriving, the folks at the front desk were not particularly friendly. They were professional, but they didn't come close to the type of service you'd expect from a hotel like this. Another service related issue was the fact our room was not cleaned, despite the fact we left the room at 9:30am and returned at 4:00pm that day. When we called the front desk, we were greeted by a gentleman who was not very polite and proceeded to argue with us about how there was a request for no room cleaning (which was untrue). Then the person claimed there was no housekeeping staff at 4pm to handle the room. When we asked to speak with a manager, we were put on hold and miraculously we were told the room would be cleaned immediately and two housekeeping staffers showed up within minutes. While I was glad they rectified the situation, I was unhappy that the front desk staffer on the phone was being dishonest about the availability of housekeeping staff until we decided to escalate the situation. Upon departure, we left a charger behind in the hotel and I had called to ask to see if someone could search for it. We were told they would look for the item and someone would call us back shortly about it. It's been 3 days and nobody has come back with an answer. While it's perfectly easy for us to replace the charger ourselves, the fact nobody bothered to call back to let us know either way is another example of the kind of service you'll experience here. Unfortunately, while the hotel itself looks new/nice, the fact of the matter is the staff here is simply not anywhere near the standard of their big city counterparts. While you would not expect a hotel in Saratoga Springs to be on par with a casino hotel in Vegas or Macau, it's still unfortunate that they fail so badly in terms of baseline service that you'd expect from any hotel that's not priced like a $69/night Days Inn motel. The other issue with this place is the huge discrepancy in terms of dining options. You either have a Morton's, a bad buffet (which I reviewed separately) or a casual/fast dining option. Unfortunately the latter two weren't impressive and the divide in terms of the food spectrum makes leaving the property the best option for dining, which isn't ideal. I do like the fact the casino is non-smoking and doesn't get too overcrowded, even on a Friday night, but you definitely want to note that there are no table games here.

Yelp
Todays stay was already on bad footing. Got here at 12.20 could not check in told us 2:00 came back 2:00 still not ready told 4:00 then told 2:30. Had requested a room with accessible tub and close to elevators. So now Diana is at desk telling me 4:00 is check in. Well aware of this. She did not have a name tag on so I asked the guy back there what her name was and he chocked up and said " my coworker" I said yes . She dug in her little pink bag grabbed her name tag. I now asked to speak to someone in charge. Shannon came and explained that with all our requests she could get us a room but would not have grab bars in tub. Ok we took it room 320 not only did it not have grab bars it did not have a tub. Called got another room now defiantly not near elevators. We believe this was a desighn because we complained. Very disappointed since you come to hotel just about every month. Rethinking our plans now. And I know there has to be more tan 1 room with a tub ready at 3:00.

Yelp
This review is simply for the Turkey Sandwich ($7.50) in Lucky Joe's restaurant inside the Saratoga Casino and Raceway. Typically, I don't bother to eat at a restaurant in a casino where you stand in line like at a fast food chain and place your order with a clerk standing at a register. However, on the recommendation of my wife, who has had this sandwich before, I tried the Turkey Sandwich. To start with, looking at the portion size, it is a very good value. Quality? The wheat bread was fresh, flavorful, thick, and soft. The turkey was not a pile of shavings, but thick slices of fresh breast meat. I'm sure you can alter how it is assembled, but this one was ordered with lettuce, habanero jack cheese, and mayo. The only oversight was that onions were put on it without being requested. But they were easily removed and actually left just the slightest flavoring without affecting one's breath. Fresh and crisp Saratoga chips (made on site?) were served on the side along with a pickle. If the slots are for losers, this sandwich is for winners.

Yelp
Review is for casino only. I live a few minutes away from here and I'd rather drive 40 minutes to Schenectady when I get the gambling itch. Slots are all or nothing. A lot of casinos payout a little here and there to keep you playing but not here. $100 at $2 spins GONE in a couple minutes. No up and down. I've lived in Saratoga a long time and remember when the old section in the back with the low ceiling was an OTB. Still smells like one. They don't offer free drinks here so you can gamble if you're 18, although I rarely see a young crowd.

Yelp
This is the most God awful casino I have ever had the displeasure of intentionally walking into. First: Let me be clear: I can not comment on the hotel. I have not stayed here, I have never seen the rooms, nor have I eaten anything here. Second: I have a separate review for the not so bad place to see a band, Vapor Nightclub on site- please see that review. Those things being said- Avoid this horrible, horrible place like the plague- this is not an actual casino- there are no gaming tables, no roulette, no blackjack, no craps, just rows upon rows of video slots, dotted with senior citizens in wheelchairs and walkers slowly but surely feeding their life savings into these terrible machines that seem to never pay out. It is truly disgusting that this place actually exists, owned an operated by New York State. It's dirty, boring, and absolutely no fun whatsoever. I would avoid this dump like the plague. You would have more fun hitchhiking a ride in a blizzard to Rivers Casino 40 minutes south in Schenectady, then spending a single minute in this dump. Just in case you're not catching my drift with this review, NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE, EVER, IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT GOING TO A CASINO... NEVER, EVER!!!

Yelp
Great place on a Groupon. Horse racing, slots and just a nice clean environment. Waiting to see all the new changes since last visit.

Yelp
I stayed July 2022. Called hotel directly to obtain rate per evening. I was informed 405.00 per night and was charged 459.99. I contacted hotel twice to speak with 2 different managers. I advised I was informed rate per evening was 405.00 and was overcharged. I was informed nothing could be done about the overcharge. Very deceptive hotel. NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!

Yelp
These are difficult times for casinos. Normally would get two free drink coupons but that stopped. I believe you can use points on your player card . I urge people to tip your sever well if possible as they are working hard with. Far less patrons.

Yelp
Hotel Appearance: 5 Stars Hotel Amenities: 1 Star Casino: 2 Stars Morton's Restaurant: 1 Star Perks Cafe: 1 Star If you're looking for an amazing hotel with all the right everything, this isn't it. While the Hotel is absolutely beautiful, that's about as far as my praise goes. The price per night is absolutely outrageous, and while I realize it's track season, this Hotel and Casino seem to cater to RICH WHITE PEOPLE. Let's start off with the amenities. Wifi is free...but it's timed. You're only allowed to use the wifi for the duration of your stay at the Hotel and there's a timer that tracks you. Also, the free wifi is only 1MB, although there is an option to upgrade daily for $12.95 to their 5MB speed. What a joke! There is no breakfast included, no discounts offered to guests who stay at the hotel, and valet parking will run you $4, even if you're a guest. Perks Cafe in the Lobby is a Starbucks Licensed outlet, and the people that work there don't know how to properly steam milk. Stick to coffee. Also, their prices are HIGHER than what Starbucks actually charges. Again, this is a place for RICH WHITE PEOPLE who have money to burn and nothing better to do. Morton's menu is OUTRAGEOUSLY priced. If you're okay with spending $117 on a steak that's cooked by CASINO EMPLOYEES with no real culinary training (and I'm talking actual culinary training at schools like Le Cordon Bleu, The Art Institutes, Johnson & Wales, the CIA, etc) then you seriously need to get your brain checked. The Hotel Bar, which you'd think would be open late during track season and summer time, closes early around 10pm during the weekdays. No late night bar tabs here, they're too fancy for that. Also, their courtesy shuttle stops running at 12am. If you're planning on bar hopping or spending the night heavily intoxicated on Caroline Street, don't rely on the Hotel to make sure you return safely. You'll need to shell out cash for a cab. My advice: save the money and stay elsewhere. This Hotel, while beautiful, is not worth the price of admission.

Yelp
So my review is based on one night we stayed while passing through town. We chose this hotel because it wasn't far off the highway, it was fairly priced and it had 24 hour front desk services since we knew we were getting in late and leaving early. We found the staff to be very friendly and the lobby was stunning and neatly decorated for the holidays. The room itself was perfect. The bed, pillows, and sheets were extremely comfortable. The towels and toiletries were also of a high quality. The room was clean and spacious. Generally the hotel felt very elegant and I would recommend it to others.

Yelp
Front desk and cleaning staff were very friendly and attentive! Most restaurants were closed inside which kinda stank but apparently its hard to get workers so its understandable after everything going on. Lastly the casino. Great selection of slot games with electronic craps, poker, and roulette and love horse racing some days. Sad part is everyone checks your ID multiple times if you just step out of the casino and then I was rejected a drink even though im 21 because it was an out of state ID. Good place to stay if your an older couple looking to watch some horse races and gamble inside most of the trip.

Yelp
Enjoyed our stay at SCH. The facility is brand new, hence the smell of newness. Our room was not cheap but ok for one night. The hotel rooms are tastefully done and spacious. Minor miss- they did not offer cups or glasses in the bathroom. There was a mini fridge- a plus. The lobby is classy and includes a Morton's Steakhouse along with a Starbucks. The casino was larger than I expected and crowded on a Saturday evening.

Yelp
I really, really like this place. I just stayed at the newly-opened hotel over the weekend (opened in July, 2016). What a beautiful hotel and in general, a beautiful property. I am an avid casino and hotel visitor. I have been to over 60 casinos. What I like about this hotel and casino is that it is NOT overwhelming. The casino is small, and I think that encourages guests to enjoy the property, but also leave it and explore the beautiful downtown on Saratoga and Saratgoa Springs. Our room was very spacious, and it offered a view of the racetrack. It was cool to see the horses working out and trotting around the track. The bathroom was big and the shower was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was extremely pleasant. I had left my toothpaste at home, and the front desk had complimentary trial sizes of toothpaste. The property itself offers a Morton's Steakhouse, a Starbucks-serving cafe, a buffet, and a few small eateries. The casino is only slot machines and electronic games. It was okay, although pleasantly non-smoking. I would like to see more table games, like up in Verona, but that is beyond their control. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to downtown Saratoga, which itself is just a 10 minute drive. I will definitely be back. And if you gamble a little bit, you are bound to get a discount room offer; certainly take advantage of it. You may not find a nicer room in Saratoga.

Yelp
This was my first time in this casino. My first impression is that it was a nice size and patrons seemed friendly. The aisles can get a little tight as they seem to cram too many machines in one aisle. The slot machines are updated and were pretty loose. We had a good time and came home with more than when we left. Ample parking available.

Yelp
So I was not super impressed with this hotel. The casino part is nothing more than some mostly computerized slot machines. No gaming tables (a few computerized ones) and the food is disgusting... fast food only nothing a step above Macdonalds. That's a huge turn off for me. We still had fun playing the slots. The hotel itself we stayed in last year shortly after they opened. It was fairly nice but I found the staff to be rude and mistake were aplenty. Hopefully they got their act together by now. The horse racing of course is a lot of fun! We tried it for the first time buying the bets.. the employees were semi helpful and the part of watching the races was very enjoyable. Place is very clean. Definitely worth a check it out.

Yelp
Saratoga Casino is simply not very good. This casino has no table games and everything is electronic. I'm not sure why a casino wouldn't have table games, but this does not. The casino is at least clean and there is a lot of slot machines to choose from. Obviously the track is the main attraction in Saratoga, but they still could add some table games to the casino. Also, when I first signed up to Saratoga casino they said they would send me a free play in the mail and I never received it. To sum it up, if you're going to Saratoga skip the casino and just go to the track.

Yelp
The hotel part is new. The rooms are large, beautiful and comfortable. The beds are amazing. I have stayed at some of the other nice mid range hotels in Saratoga. Just basing it on the room and hallways, this hotel is better. You will like your room. The pool and fitness center are great also.

Yelp
I stayed at the hotel at Saratoga Casino. You could not enter the casino from hotel lobby. You had to walk quite a distance to enter the casino. I'm glad it was not bad weather. The set up is confusing and unsatisfactory and I do not plan on returning there for an overnight stay until they have a better plan in place.
