If you’re a fan of flavorful street food, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit! The pav bhaji here is simply outstanding – the bhaji is rich, buttery, and packed with perfectly balanced spices that bring out that authentic Mumbai-style taste. The pav is served hot, soft, and generously buttered, making every bite a delicious experience. The portion sizes are great, the presentation is appealing, and the aroma itself makes you hungry all over again. The place maintains good hygiene, the staff is attentive, and the service is pretty quick even during peak hours.

I have been a regular here for over 20 years and it amazes me every time. The rates are very low and taste is outstanding. AMUL PAV BHAJI is the go to product when you are here, it will not disappoint :) To help cool off during summer they have cold PAANS outside which are with Dry fruits and are cool I highly recommend this place with friends and families.

They say this is one of the most popular places for pav bhaji in Mumbai — but hang on, guys, this place is seriously overrated. First of all, it took 25 minutes to serve the pav bhaji. For a dish that’s supposed to be their fastest and most-sold item, that’s just way too long. Secondly, the bhaji was very basic in flavor — nothing special, nothing that justifies the hype. But the real disappointment was the pav. It was half-cooked, stale, and tasted far from fresh. When I raised the issue with the staff, I was casually told, “That’s how it is served.” For a place known for pav bhaji, that’s unacceptable. Not worth the wait, the hype, or the price.

Visited Sardar Pav Bhaji on 16th June 2025 for lunch, and as always, it lived up to its name. Located at Junction 166-A, Tardeo, this iconic spot is known for serving arguably the best pav bhaji in Mumbai. I had been craving a proper pav bhaji experience and this place didn’t disappoint. Went there with a friend and ordered just one Amul Pav Bhaji—which is more than enough for one person in my opinion due to the generous serving of bhaji. We ended up ordering 5 extra pavs, and they were perfectly buttered and soft. What stood out this time was how peaceful and empty the place was—probably thanks to the heavy monsoon rains. Usually, there’s always a crowd and a wait time of 5-10 minutes minimum. Apart from the pav bhaji, we also tried their Caramel Custard and Chocolate Mousse, both priced at ₹70 each. And let me say—what a fantastic way to end the meal. Both desserts were light, creamy, and balanced the richness of the bhaji perfectly. The total bill came to ₹499, and it was absolutely worth it. Just a heads-up—avoid taking your personal vehicle as parking is a big hassle. Best to take a train and a cab or bus. Highly recommended!

Sardar Pav Bhaji in Tardeo is an iconic Mumbai eatery known for its rich, buttery pav bhaji that's generously loaded with Amul butter, making it a favorite for those who enjoy indulgent street food. The bhaji is flavorful and portions are generous, but some find the butter overpowering and the taste occasionally inconsistent. The place is almost always crowded, with long wait times and cramped seating, offering little in terms of ambience or comfort. While service is basic and no-frills, the food remains the main draw. Overall, it's a must-try for first-timers, though repeat visits may depend on your tolerance for butter and chaos.

Absolutely enjoyed the pav bhaji here. Very tasty and consistent over the past many years. It's a different genre of pav bhaji all together, one must experience . They do justice to 'Amul' Pav bhaji. If you're a fan of Amul butter, you're going to love this. Chatted up with the owner, was impressed to know that attention to detail has been the key for this joint over the years , for eg. the paav is specially sourced , rather than relying on the next door bakery. Keep up the good work !

If you are in Mumbai and craving pav bhaji 'Sardar Pav Bhaji, is one of the most famous names you'll hear. but what I found is - The taste is okay, not something extraordinary, but worth trying once for the experience. The bhaji is loaded with excessive butter which might be a bit too much for some people. But it is famous for this excessive butter and nothing else. I would recommend visiting at least once, just to see what the hype is about.

Just an average nextdoor pavbhaji you get in mumbai at every eatery, nothing special about it, Excess of butter in bhaji and pav. Limited menu, no tawa pulao on offer.
