Sarinande Hotel

We stayed for three nights in the Super Deluxe Twin Room. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The light in the room is quite dimmed, we would appreciate brighter light. There’s a mini refrigerator and TV, though we mostly used the room just for sleeping. Daily housekeeping was provided, which kept everything neat. The bathroom was spotless, with both hot and cold showers. I liked the wide counter — very convenient for makeup and toiletries. Kettle and complimentary drinks were provided. The tap water tasted slightly salty but nothing uncomfortable. There was a slight weird smell when flushing the toilet, but we experienced the same in our previous hotel in Ubud — maybe it’s just how the plumbing is in Bali. Location-wise, the hotel is only about 150m from the beach. It has its own swimming pools with shallow and deep sections, plus a spa and massage service. You can claim a 10% discount for spa or massage from the counter. I tried the warm stone massage and foot reflexology — not exactly the relaxing type, more on the deep-pressure side, but felt good after. The location is very quite and the lane leading to the hotel is quite dark at night since it’s near the beach, but shops and scooter rentals are just around 600m away. Overall, a comfortable stay with friendly staffs, great facilities and convenient location near the beach.

The entire stay here was nice. Though the hotel is quite old and some of their amenities are no longer in good condition, the stay is still quite nice. Our room was spacious but still quite old. However, the day after checkout, I realized that I lost my airpods pro. I came back the next morning and they said that they did not see anything left in the room. I am 100% certain that it should still be in the room because I did not use it outside and only used it for remote work or else, someone took it without me noticing. Now I'm out of an airpods pro and it appeared that someone took it because I can no longer see it in Find My. I don't want to blame anyone without evidence and I am not implying anything here. I just hoped their staff is honest enough, though I know it's my fault for not noticing of leaving it. Please help me investigate this.

This hotel is in dire need of maintenance and a good clean.|It needs an invested hotel manager to prioritise works needed and staff roles |We have travelled to bali a lot and this was a disappointing experience. |Our fridge was putrid. |The towels and room smelt bad. Bed mattress was old and where the 2 beds had been pushed together there was a very hard join. |The decoration throw on the bed was dirty. |The bathroom door was warped and did not close properly. |They do not provide any soap for the bathroom sink! They only provide body wash in the shower.|So if someone is in the shower you can’t wash your hands with soap.|This is the first time we have ever not had soap to wash our hands after going to the toilet and thought this was ridiculous cost cutting. |The toilet had bad stains in it and on the toilet seat. |The staff seemed to sit around and not do much.|They don’t clean properly, for example, the ask fry from the last guests was emptied but they left the dirty ask tray unwashed so it stunk outside the room.|Empty guest bottles were left around the pool for hours. Yet there was a staff member sitting near the pool all day doing nothing proactive. |The outdoor toilet near reception is disgusting.|This place will likely go broke. |We would not stay here again.

The staff are kind and helpful, allowing me to check in early, and leave my bags there after checking out before my flight. The hotel is older, and there was a lot of scooter noise at night. The pool was a little dirty but was still nice. So close to the beach, which was great for sunset walks.

Loved this place, if I knew how much I would have liked it would have booked over my other accommodation choices. It had that old school Bali feel, which I love great pool area and plenty of chairs to sun bathe. Room was outdated but again I was still happy there. It was clean and that is important.

This was our 4th time at Hotel Sarinande, not having been back since covid, they are working at restoring it back to what it once was. The staff as always were amazing, many of them still there from when we first went in 2011, nothing was too much trouble. As mentioned above, they like many places in Bali are working at recovering and restoring the Hotel. The rooms are comforatble, though dated, and need a complete refresh, along with the water, hot and cold. The pool was great, always had lounge seating availible, it also could do with a bit of work. That being said the place has a unique charm about it and would recommend staying there. Very close to the beach, short stroll to the main street with many good restaurants and shops.

This is our second stay at Sarinande, the last being back in 2016. It is a lovely little hotel, it's not as fancy as the flash new places, but it's a great price and a great location. The rooms are a little old but spacious and comfortable. The staff are delightful and always available. This is not a big chain hotel and that is always worth supporting. I would encourage those looking to enjoy old school Bali to give it a go.
