Not sure what to make of this place. Unfortunately everything is damp, our mosquito nets were damp, the towels smell of damp, everything is overgrown and the bungalows get little or no sun. Maybe it’s time to put some of the bungalows on stilts!
I understand the Aussie owners have planted all the trees to revegetate the area, but even the area around the waterfall is completely overgrown so there is no light or sun. And that was the main reason we booked here, to swim in the private waterfall.
The food can be excellent, the salads in particular were amazing, the drink menu needs more variety. But we ordered a Bali satay, from the nightly special, and we were charged 150k, and it was small and average. I have never paid that for a mains before, so make sure you ask the prices of the nightly specials, because they don’t write it on the board. Everything is overpriced really, they put money into the local village, which is great and pay the staff well apparently. But unfortunately the staff don’t seem that happy, which is just not like Bali.
