Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge: Kenya Safari Lodge in Lake Nakuru National Park

We stayed at Sarova and did enjoy our stay although it was short. The location is really convenient and your game drive starts the minute you leave the hotel’s grounds. Although it was a Buffett, I really enjoyed the many options of food available and believe it was above average. The service was also above average. The only drawback was the room itself. It is clean but very basic. We did not have issues with the room at all but it is representative of a 3 star hotel room in Europe or United States and not indicative of what we paid.

Had a wonderful two nights at lodge. It is located inside park and close to beautiful Nakuru lake. Facility is clean and surrounding is pleasant and beautiful. Staff is super friendly and food is delicious. Game drive through the park is fabulous and see lions on every drive. Also see wide rhinos and many more wildlife. Great stay and highly recommended

The hotel is very well positioned inside of the Lake Nakuru National Park with a wonderful outlook. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner was truly exceptional and potentially the widest range we have seen anywhere. Lots of variety and full of flavour.||The rooms that we stayed in are starting to look their age, with limited lighting etc. The walls are also quite thin so you can certainly hear your neighbours.

Beautiful property within the Lake Nakuru reserve park. Rooms were clean and well maintained, buffet style meals were delicious with live music ambiance and lots of local flavors to try. Staff was very helpful from start to finish on our stay. The reserve was our best game drive day of our entire honeymoon as well! Would definitely recommend.

Had a good stay with family Resort ambience is fantastic, lots of leisure activities to do, super location close to Lake Nakuru, no lake views though - at least we didn't notice, restaurant and variety of food was very good. Loved the availability of Indian food. Chef Oscar made sure to make our favourite items for breakfast 👍🏽 Only con: mosquito net in the room was fancy but had gaps at the top - design flaw. Didn't notice any mosquitoes though

From the time of reserving with the Lodge till our warm welcome by the fantastic staff, our stay and all the meals till our departure, everything was flawless. Excellent food. We felt at home totally. The rooms could use a little bit of a touch up by upgrading the curtains but still very very comfortable rooms. It is economical friendly and they look after all the birds home to the lodge. Best choice in Nakuru ever.

Room was simple but clean. The surrounding ambience is really nice, with a lovely natural vibe. Food was average, and coffee/tea is served separately in a different area which was a bit inconvenient. Service was mixed — some staff very friendly, some so-so. The bird feeding session was such a highlight, with flocks gathering around. Loved the free-use binoculars for the view. Unfortunately, the advertised game room with board games like Monopoly didn’t exist, which disappointed the kids. I hope they’ll improve on this, as it would’ve added so much to the stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Number one on our list is the service. It was impeccable. They were kind, willing to accomodate us and our toddler and even set aside food for him to eat past their mealtimes when he had been napping. The rooms are a bit dated but very clean (stamdard room). Lovely views of the park. So many birds to see and watch even at the hotel. Maybe a few chairs/seats at the reception as one awaits checkin would be nice. The buffet options were good. Fresh and i especially loved the pastries. Want to highlight Chef Tobias, John and Flomena at the restaurant and Maria with activities, thank you. The live music over meals was also lovely.
