We had a wonderful time at the Sarova Mara, where we stayed for 3 nights at the Luxury Club. The staff is so kind and attentive, in particular our butler George made sure we had everything we needed even before we asking. The manager Jayne is also very caring about the guests and you can see the whole staff is attentive at the highest level. Also, Ole Muli, our waiter at the lounge, had been extremely dedicated and taught us everything about the Masai culture. This place is magical and perfectly located in the Masai Mara, highly recommended for both couples and families. And also the food is great.

Sarova Mara was our first stop on a Kenya safari trip, and we stayed for three unforgettable nights. We were truly impressed by the setting, hospitality, and attention to detail throughout the resort.||All accommodations are luxury tents with solid roof covers, nestled among lush greenery. The experience feels like elevated camping—immersed in nature, but with all the comforts of a high-end stay. Don’t be fooled by the term tent—the rooms are spacious, beautifully maintained, and offer great privacy. Housekeeping visits at least twice a day: once in the morning for cleaning, and again in the afternoon to prepare the room for the evening, including closing windows and setting up the mosquito net.||The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. James, a restaurant waiter, went out of his way to show our daughter some of the unique animals around the resort—well beyond the call of duty, and something we truly appreciated.||As food lovers, my wife and I were especially impressed by the culinary team. Chef Douglas made delicious Indian naan bread and even demonstrated how he prepares it. Chef Damaris took the time to teach our 11-year-old daughter how to make scrambled eggs, and Chef Moreen created a colorful variety of salads that were not only beautifully arranged but also full of flavor. Chef Meshack, a professional baker, surprised us most with his exceptional soups. His Cream of Butternut and Clear Lamb soups were so good that each of us went back for thirds!||The resort also features a garden that supplies many of its fruits and vegetables. Ignatius, who oversees the garden, gave us a wonderful tour and explained some of their eco-friendly practices. For example, they avoid using chemicals to protect wildlife that may wander into the garden. Instead, they grow specific plants that naturally attract and manage insects. It’s a thoughtful, sustainable approach that reflects the resort’s harmony with nature.

WILDLY REJUVENATED Tulia Spa at Sarova Mara Game Lodge is not merely a spa, it is a ritualistic retreat where luxury and wilderness meet in the most poetic way. Nestled within an elegant tented space, the spa feels intentionally woven into nature, allowing the sounds of chirping birds and distant wildlife to become part of the therapy itself. Before my first treatment, I spent a tranquil half hour soaking in the heated jacuzzi, watching two graceful deer graze nearby, a moment so serene it felt almost cinematic. My first experience, the 'Tulia Body Ritual', began with a warming chai and bamboo scrub that gently exfoliated my skin before transitioning into a deeply restorative full body massage by Risper, whose intuitive and grounded touch worked deliberately through my knots and tension, offering profound relief to my workout-worn muscles. Every stroke felt purposeful, releasing not just physical tightness but accumulated fatigue, leaving my body lighter and more aligned. Two days later, I returned for the 'Skin Detox Full Body Ritual', a treatment that felt indulgent, nourishing, and sensorially rich from start to finish. The velvety chocolate mud mask enveloped my body in warmth and decadence, followed by a cocooning 15-minute thermal blanket experience that allowed the minerals to penetrate deeply while inducing a state of complete surrender. This was followed by a final full body massage that sealed in the treatment, leaving my skin supple, glowing, and deeply replenished. What makes Tulia Spa truly exceptional is the way nature amplifies the experience, as the gentle rustle of leaves, birdsong, and distant animal life create a grounding calm that no urban spa could ever replicate. It felt like being held by the Mara itself, cared for with intention, skill, and reverence. Tulia Spa is not just a place of relaxation, but a sanctuary of renewal where the body is restored and the spirit quietly realigned.

Our stay at Sarova Mara was absolutely wonderful and truly memorable. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional—everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. A special mention to our private butler, Caroline, who took such good care of us and ensured that every little detail was perfectly handled. Her kindness and professionalism made our stay extra comfortable. The golf cart driver, Sordo, also deserves appreciation—always eager, cheerful, and available at any time to drive us around the property, making moving around effortless and enjoyable. Overall, Sarova Mara offers not just a beautiful location but a heartfelt experience through its people. We left with lovely memories and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Mara. 🌿✨

We had a wonderful stay at Sarova Mara Game Camp. The Club Tents were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, offering a perfect balance of luxury and nature. The Club Lounge was a highlight, with excellent food and attentive, personalized service. Coro line and Doreen took very good care of us. Overall, all entire staff were warm, polite, and genuinely hospitable, making us feel well cared for throughout our stay. A lovely property in the heart of the Masai Mara — highly recommended.

You get what you pay for. It’s not the dream Safari Lodge. It’s a commercial place to stay in the Mara that’s likely better than most. It’s a bit too large and they do not encourage contact with other guests or safari style guest interaction. If you’re traveling alone, you may find yourself isolated. They could do better by having group activities in the evening in the bar. There is a huge understandable gap between this lodge and the Ritz Carlton, but the cost reflects that. It is clean, safe, comfortable, well located in the Mara, has a pool. There are tons of animals within striking distance so it’s a good base . Meals are served buffet style, with a good selection. Tip …request a room near the pool or you will be a long distance away, even though they will offer golf cart Service, it’s a trek.

We had a wonderful stay at Sarova Mara for 4 nights. The lodge is located inside the Greater Mara reserve and offers beautifully appointed tents with excellent amenities. The food was outstanding with a vast buffet selection for all meals. Despite having 75 or more tents, the lodge never felt crowded, and we rarely encountered other guests except during dinner times and Maasai interactions. The lodge is very safe for children as it is fenced, with no dangerous wild animals inside - only harmless deer and baboons. Our kids could play around freely, which was a great relief. We'd like to especially mention Douglas and Eugene at the food stations who were incredibly kind to us and took wonderful care of the kids throughout our stay. The safari experiences from Sarova Mara were excellent, with early morning, late morning, evening, and full day safaris all offering different perspectives. Overall, a superb experience that we would highly recommend for families.

Sarova was home to the most incredible vacation of our lives. The Mara is a special place, but Sarova made our experience above and beyond our wildest expectations. We stayed in the club tents and the service, rooms, and food were out of this world. My mom had specific dietary needs (and vegetarian) which they met with no issue. She said it was the best she’d eaten in years. Our game drives were incredible — with sights of the big 5 and a patient, thoughtful, and well-informed driver (ask for Patrick!). The drive vehicles was brand new and super comfortable too.||We would recommend Sarova more highly than any other place we’ve ever stayed. If you’re thinking of visiting, come!
