Sarova Mara Game Camp - Safari Lodge in Kenya

There were optional types of facilities. We stayed in the Olchani section of the resort. It was an all inclusive type setting. The “enclosed tents” throughout the camp were well-appointed with outlets to charge electronics, soaking tub, rain shower and hand held shower options. All meals were served in the Olchani Club Lounge but you could use your all inclusive benefits at the main restaurant, which was buffet style. Another option in our plan was laundry services for 4 items each night. |A “butler”, Andy, was assigned to our group of ten to serve all our meals and ensure all needs were met for our accommodations. Andy was available to help us with any needs, He inquired what our plans were for the timing within the limits of the dining hours for all of our meals to ensure he was there to serve us. He also took our meals orders for ala carte menu at the Olchani Lounge to inform the chef of the area. He also was available at each of the special “dining outdoors experiences provided in our program. Andy was very respectful, polite , pleasant and efficient in his service to us. Additionally, he made arrangements for us to have a breakfast at the main restaurant prior to normal opening hours so we could proceed to our next stop on our itinerary. Andy’s attention to our needs highly contributed to our enjoyable experience in addition to the beautiful, scenic safari drives with sightings of many animals of Kenya.

We stayed at Sarova Mara Game Camp for three nights in September 2025 and had a truly unforgettable experience. The property is beautifully built and offers an authentic connection with nature. We highly recommend booking the Club Tent category, as the facilities and hospitality were outstanding. The staff took exceptional care of our vegetarian dietary needs with genuine warmth. A special thanks to Caroline, our assigned butler, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort—checking on us regularly and anticipating our needs. Her attention to detail made our stay extra special. The culinary team, including Douglas and Dominic, consistently served delicious, high-quality meals. We're also grateful to Andi, Muli, and George for their warm service and support. A delightful surprise was the private bubbly breakfast arranged during our stay. We wholeheartedly recommend this camp and encourage guests to request Caroline as their point of contact.

This was a wonderful resort. The grounds were beautifully kept, and the hospitality was beyond what was expected. We stayed in the Olchani section which was well managed and very comfortable. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful flowers and animals from our porch. We also took part in the many available amenities like the pool and hot tub. Our host was Andy and he was superb! Not only was he our waiter, but he also helped us in every way he could like greeting us after safari with a cold drink and making sure our laundry was done and returned to us. Laundry was a free service for 4 items a day. The meals were well prepared and the food was delicious. Andy made sure we had a pleasant stay as he was friendly and really made us feel at home! I would highly recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Kenya!

The Sarova Mara Game Camp is set in the Masai Mara Game Reserve near the Tanzanian border.|The excellent accommodation is set in interesting grounds where mongoose, dik dik and baboons roam. The mongoose were particularly entertaining. The room, which is far more than the tent it is described as, was right on the edge of the park. Our room was located next to a salt lick, which could potentially attract animals. The secluded room was accessible by interesting, twisty forest paths and a wooden bridge.|The restaurant had high-quality buffet-style food service. Our waiter was friendly and helpful with good local knowledge. All the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Very nice accommodations, close to park entrance. Stunning birds around. Nice gift shop. Rooms were very nice. Andy was assigned to take care of our group and did a fabulous job. He was everywhere asking how he could help. Our group was so appreciative of his effort to make our stay so memorable. Other staff like Caroline and Benson were also so helpful. Great place and experience.

From beginning to end the great experiences and welcoming staff never changed. This was a stop for us on our honeymoon and we are over the moon with the stay. George, our butler, was with us from the moment we entered and was very great with helping us plan meals, schedule spa and maintain our lodge. Daniel aka Olesoyt our game drive guide was knowledgeable. The spa was smaller than expected but provided all the services you would expect. This is a no brainer if you’re coming to Masai Mara and want to be on a property that is well nestled in nature, with activities/amenities and a great take on food and drinks.

We had an amazing time at Sarova Mara. The place is luxurious, comfortable, and so peaceful. Safety was a big concern for us going in, but from the moment we arrived the staff made us feel completely at ease.||Huge shoutout to George who was assigned to help us – he’s an absolute gem and made everything so much easier and better. The food was also fantastic, both at the buffet and the lounge.||All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll definitely be sending friends and family here!

The location is absolutely incredible, right in the heart of the Masai Mara, surrounded by wildlife and stunning views. The food was a standout highlight, with Chef Kennedy going above and beyond to prepare delicious meals tailored to our requests. It truly felt like living with family; the warmth and hospitality of the staff made the experience unforgettable. They were also very attentive to feedback, which was much appreciated. If there’s one suggestion, it would be to have a few more carts available for easier transport around the camp. Otherwise, a fantastic stay!
