From the moment we arrived at Shaba Game Lodge, I knew this safari experience would be special. The location is absolutely picturesque — surrounded by lush greenery, with streams running through the camp that add the perfect soundtrack of flowing water to the wild.|The rooms were spacious, clean, and designed to match the natural theme of the lodge while still being very comfortable. You truly feel immersed in nature without sacrificing comfort.|The highlight for me, however, was the Treehouse Restaurant. Dining there felt like stepping onto an Indiana Jones movie set — elevated among the trees with panoramic views, it was both adventurous and magical. The food was delicious, and the setting itself was unforgettable.|Customer service was top-notch from start to finish. The staff were warm, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy to share their hospitality. The cleanliness of the lodge was impeccable, and the overall atmosphere carried good vibes all day long — from sunrise coffee to evening relaxation.|If you’re looking for a safari stay that blends comfort, adventure, and incredible service, Shaba Game Lodge is the place. Highly recommended!

A lovely stay at the charming Sarova Shaba game loge. Accomodation was clean and comfortable. Great view of the river running alongside .||Staff amazing . Stephen the chef on hand at all times and plenty of vegan options for my son beyond our expectations. The food was delicious. Staff all very friendly, kind and attentive. Mercyline took very good care of us. Also Moses & bar staff ( sorry we did not get your names). There was a lovely relaxing ambiance at the lodge when we were not game driving. ||Our stay was made exceptional by our lovely game guide DENNIS. He was extremely knowledgable about all the animals, flora and fauna in the parks, and ensured to show us the beauty of both Buffalo springs and Shaba. Dennis was dedicated and determined to find us all the animals (including cheetah, leopards, baby elephants etc), and we felt very safe with his excellent driving skills. Thank you Dennis.

Came here for the wildlife. And the grounds are stunning, plenty of wildlife to see. However spoiled by the staff slingshot ting at monkeys when they are up trees, we were watching them from our window and the colourful birds. The staff chased them all away.|I can understand scaring them away from poolside or restaurant, but from the tree tops surrounding the accommodation was completely unnecessary.|Spoiled our stay

We arrived at the lodge about 1 hr late as scheduled after a 7 hrs drive from Nairobi, but Vincent (at the reception) received us much warmly. But before visiting our room, we were ushered to the restaurant where Stephen was waiting for us with our (late)-lunch, specially reserved for us. This hospitality accompanied us during our whole stay at the hotel - but sadly only for two nights.|The rooms were clean and comfortable; the mosquito net proved to be more than essential. The food was very good and the staff very friendly.|We would like to pass our personal thanks to:|- Vincent for the warm reception|- Stephen for taking care of our food and soul needs at the restaurant (how we miss your conversations :-) )|- Mercy, Lucia, Moses, Elijah and Allan (at the grill) for their prompt service during meals|- Kaloki for organizing our luggage on arrival and departure|- Julius and Adan for accompanying us in the evening while looking for the most appropriate star-gazing sites|- Catherine at the gate for her friendly smile whenever we left or entered the premises. |And of course, our special appreciation goes to the whole Sarova Team who we may have not named here explicitly or met personally, who however - directly and indirectly - contributed to make our stay rememberable.|PS: you have a perfect location for star-gazing with no light pollution. Maybe you could find a nice location on the site to install a platform specially just for this :-)||Thomas and Catherine

Rooms are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Open air restaurant offered a variety of freshly prepared options as well as charcoal grilled fish and meats. Plenty of salad, fruit and desserts too. Wildlife abounds in the area, and the location is perfect for game drives in Shaba, Samburu and/or Buffalo Springs Reserves. Many baboons and monkeys on the property along with a multitude of birds. The views of the Ewaso Ngiro River and the sounds of nature all around add to the experience. We stayed in late January and there were very few other visitors. It was as if we had the place all to ourselves. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to Moses at the restaurant. We’ll remember your smile and hospitality.
