Sincere thanks to Chef Robert and Chef Farida for their exceptional food service during our stay around May 20-23, 2025 at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge. Every meal was a delightful experience—beautifully prepared, flavorful, and consistently served with genuine warmth and care. Their attention to detail and hospitality made dining a true pleasure throughout our stay. Best, Christine

We stayed here for three nights to visit Buffalo Springs and Shaba reserves. Our rooms were a distance from reception so they provided a wheelchair for one of our party with mobility problems. The rooms were lovely with comfortable beds and a great shower. The grounds are well kept and all rooms face the river where elephants come to drink. All the staff were so kind and lovely. The food was plentiful and excellent. One if us has a garlic allergy and the chef Stephen went out of his way to cook specially for him, even down to the soup! He's a star. On our last night it was my brother and sister in laws golden wedding. They made a lovely cake and all the kitchen staff brought it out singing and dancing to them. They made it very special. We have nothing negative to say about this place. If you go - do try the fish foot spa! It's an experience in itself!

This stay was incredible! I have never had a more personalized experience. I have an allergy to wheat. This can be incredibly difficult while traveling. This is a buffet but as soon as I told them about my allergy they went and got the chef! Every meal they came up to me and made a personal meal for me. It was so delicious and they took SUCH good care of me! I have never had such incredible service like this. I recommend this to anyone with a food allergy especially gluten!

This camp was beautiful! All around in the Shaba Park it is very dry but in the camp there is water running all around from the natural springs into the river. It is very green and beautiful, lots of water dragons, lizards, fish, birds, butterflies, small monkeys etc. The room we stayed in was just a standard room and it was very nice! Has a safe, bathroom, mosquito nets, bottled water each day etc. There is a pool that it heated and is very nice, they have equipment (you need to ask for) to play games in the pool. The dinning room is upstairs, where you have a great view. All meals are buffet and all the food was absolutely delicious. I have a dairy intolerance and Chef Stephen was there for every meal to show me what I could and couldn't have (there was lots I could so lots of options) he even made special soups and desserts for me. Everyone at the camp, especially all of the restaurant staff (Chef Stephen, Kevin & Moses).|All long the camp you can look down onto the Ewaso Ng'iro River where you can see Crocodiles and bird life.

Rooms are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Open air restaurant offered a variety of freshly prepared options as well as charcoal grilled fish and meats. Plenty of salad, fruit and desserts too. Wildlife abounds in the area, and the location is perfect for game drives in Shaba, Samburu and/or Buffalo Springs Reserves. Many baboons and monkeys on the property along with a multitude of birds. The views of the Ewaso Ngiro River and the sounds of nature all around add to the experience. We stayed in late January and there were very few other visitors. It was as if we had the place all to ourselves. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to Moses at the restaurant. We’ll remember your smile and hospitality.

We had a wonderful two nights at the Sarova Shaba Game Lodge. The wildlife around the lodge was amazing and everyone who worked there was extremely friendly and accommodating. My husband loves birds and loved walking the property birdwatching. One of the restaurant employees, Kevin, noticed this and invited him out one afternoon for a birdwatching walk during his break. Kevin went above and beyond and it was the highlight of our stay there. The fish foot therapy was something fun to try and the location is a short drive from the parks to see the best wildlife. Would highly recommend a stay here to others - we would definitely go back if we have the opportunity.

The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained.||A special shout-out to Tito from the kitchen staff—his care and exceptional service stood out, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel!
