"Jewish philanthropist Samuel Sarphati fought significant battles to construct this small, manicured neighborhood park in lively De Pijp. The two-block rectangle of green is behind the Heineken Experience, just a few blocks from the Albert Cuyp market, making it a fine spot for a picnic with fare from the city’s largest outdoor street market. A monument of Dr. Sarphati is a focal point that testifies to the philanthropist’s dedication to creating the park in the 19th century." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Cute park, sometimes markets take place here. I can really recommend the "liefdesbruggetje", it looks so sweet!

They've added some more seating to the park, which is nice. All in all the grass is looking a bit sad, not many flowers or color here. Hopefully the grass will improve and some flowers will be added in future. Fine to stroll through.

Amsterdam has recently redone this park to make it less water logged and so it really is beautiful. There is a designated doggy area where they may be let off lead, and there is also a kiddies playground and an adult outdoor gym. Loads of space and benches and bins. It's not a huge park but it is a beautiful one. Wheelchair accessible. Also, it is super close to Massimos gelato and Albert cuyp. So you can grab food from MANY surrounding restaurants or the market and easily access the park to chow down 🙂 sharing many pics through the seasons.

We love the peace and tranquility of the park! Great place for jogging and people-watching. Clean and large enough. We like the green spaces and pond.
