SARTO

Called in here last minute before a gig at the wardrobe. The staff were very friendly and although all the tables were full, made room for us to sit in the window seating to enjoy our dinner. The food was gorgeous, very tasty, decent sized portions. Everything tasted homemade and well thought out, pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection and the sauces were delicious. I am not sure how often dishes change but I had a lamb ragu dish which I really enjoyed, my friend had a gnocchi which again she thought was gorgeous.

I was craving some authentic Italian Pasta and after a lot of browsing, came across this wonderful restaurant. Nestled in a cosy corner near Leeds bus station, this place is a gem for all pasta lovers. Honestly, we made a reservation at the last minute and though we ended up arriving a bit early, we were seated right away. The Arancini, we ordered was delicious and so was the Fettuccine pasta with wild mushrooms. We got a seat adjacent to the window and enjoyed our meal whilst watching the moving traffic on a Sunday afternoon. Would like to try the other items on the menu on my next visit.

Nice tasty selection of Side, Main, Desserts and Drinks. Gluten free, Vegetarian & Vegan option is also available. Lovely friendly staffs. Variety of seats.

This is my favourite pasta place in Leeds! The food is great quality, freshly made, tasty and they have options for everyone. The portion size is just right and they have a great selection of wines to enjoy with the pasta. It's a casual place with a great atmosphere and really friendly staff! They change the menu often which is great for trying something new when returning, which you absolutely will want to do!

Starter: Beef tartare and focaccia with balsamic dip. Mains: Crab tortellini and something I can’t remember but covered in a layer of Parmesan. Deserts: Afogato and creme brûlée. Excellent setting and food, pasta cooked perfectly al dente. Shame that it’s another establishment that imposes a discretionary service charge.

Pasta was incredible, I like how many of the flavours are not typically what you’d find. I’ve been here three times over the past few months, ordering different things every time and it has always been nothing short of a delight. I have recommended many people here and they have all loved Sarto’s. The staff are all lovely as well.

Top notch pasta and sauces ... And good selection of small antipasti dishes as well .. Excellent Italian option, only slight downside is that you wouldn't call the dining room cozy ..."canteen like" might be a little more like it ! ...Great food though, don't let the ambiance put you off

We went here based on a recommendation, and we love fresh pasta. I ordered the seafood spaghetti and my daughter wanted the buccatini ragu. The ragu wasn't available and neither was the spaghetti so I changed my order to buccatini and daughter had the buccatini with tomato sauce. The seafood pasta wasn't really seafood pasta as there was no seafood in there. The sauce was good but that's literally all there was. My daughters food was really quite bland and dull. The staff were attentive, the building is nice (if slightly cold) but we likely won't be returning.
